Parole Board nixes Michael Lohan charity fight, now he wants to fight Mark Ronson

Michael Lohan is currently on probation for attempted assault yet somewhere in the hollow caverns of his mind he thought it was a great idea to get in a fight for charity. Lohan has been promoting the boxing event, and held an auction with the pleasure of punching him in the head to go to the highest bidder.

Bob Venero, the president of a business computing firm, was the lucky winer and bid $30,000 for the priviledge. The fight was scheduled for Monday, November 24th, and Lohan has been training for a couple of months. He was dissapointed to be told today, however, that his parole officer has decided it’s not such a great idea. The New York parole board put a halt, at least temporarily, to the event.

A spokesperson for the New York State Division of Parole says, “Mr. Lohan was convicted of assault, which is a violent crime, and is currently under parole supervision until February of 2009.

“We do not feel that participating in a violent activity, such as celebrity boxing, whether it is for charity or not, is appropriate for his rehabilitation. It is inappropriate for a person on parole to engage in the same type of behavior that landed him in prison in the first place.”

Lohan tells the New York Daily News he is “very disappointed” but understands the decision.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after the 2004 arrest, following an attack on his ex-wife Dina’s brother.

Lohan’s probation ends in March 2009, so the boxing match has been postponed until then. In the meantime, douchebag dad is planning who he’d like to get into the ring with next.

Lohan already has another contender in mind – music producer Mark Ronson, the brother of Lindsay’s girlfriend Samantha.

He adds, “After the comments and threats that Mark Ronson made recently, maybe he wants to fight me for charity. I’m definitely willing to step in the ring for three rounds with Mark Ronson.”

Mark, Samantha’s producer brother, has called Michael Lohan what most of the rest of us have, a “sad, pathetic loser.” He’s also said that the things Lindsay’s dad has said about Samantha are almost enough to “make me incensed to the point where I’d send someone round to his house.”

And that’s why the Lohan/Ronson fight, the male version, will never take place. Mark is smart enough to send someone else to do the punishing and keep himself as far from Michael “Maniac” Lohan as possible.

  2. Jess says:

Oi. He and Dina are this generation’s equivalent to talentless child stars who ride on their parent’s names/fame. Hello, Natalie Cole!

  3. Jessica says:

aww. does anyone else think its kinda cute that mark ronson got all protective over his sister? lol

  4. Rosebudd says:

Jess, I think Natalie Cole is very, sweet, humble and talented. I take issue w/ Martin Luther King’s effed up family. They have always fought over the money. Their father had a “dream” and I don’t think it was all about spoiled lazy-ass money grubbing kids. He is probably turning over in his grave. How’s that for celebrity by association?

  5. vdantev says:

Rosebudd, you’re way off base with the MLK reference.

Judge should change Michael’s last name to “Dumbass” just to remove all doubt. That would be a fitting punishment, in addition to probation and public service, he has to live with the last name Dumbass.

  6. aleach says:

rosebudd, sorry but that was just ignorant.

  7. Rosebudd says:

Aleach, sorry if it offended you…but not ignorant, have read the facts. I love Martin Luther King and his visions, but, his childred have ridden the gravy train.

  8. aleach says:

@ rosebudd: sorry! after i reread your comment i understand it a little better. and no, im not offended.
i live in atlanta (where the king children live) and their bickering is on the news every so often. but they seem like actaully good people. id rather hear about them than some of the other celeb-spawn in the news every other day for some stupid shit! 8)

Nothing seems to be easier than seeing someone whom you can help but not helping.
I suggest we start giving it a try. Give love to the ones that need it.
    God will appreciate it.
