Molly Sims gave birth to a 7-lb baby boy, one year after announcing engagement

Do you realize that Molly Sims has moved into a completely new and different life very, very quickly? It was barely a year ago that she became engaged to Scott Stuber. They married last September, and Molly announced her pregnancy in January. One year after they announced their engagement, Molly has given birth to their first child, a baby boy. That was FAST. People Magazine and Us Weekly both confirm the birth, but we don’t have a name for the little guy yet. My guess is that the name will be something somewhat traditional – Molly doesn’t seem like the kind of woman who would name an innocent baby Hedgehog Purple Stuber. A source close to the couple told People, “They both couldn’t be happier.”

It’s a boy! First-time parents Molly Sims and her husband Scott Stuber welcomed their son on Tuesday.

A rep confirms to Us Weekly the birth of baby Stuber and tells Us he weighed in a little over 7 lbs. No name has been revealed yet.

Sims, 39, married movie producer Stuber, 43, last September. The model/actress told Us last month she was beginning to get nervous about the birth of her son — and so was Stuber!

“We did our first birthing class the other day,” she said. “I swear to god I thought he was going to faint!”

But Sims did have her son’s nursery ready.

“It’s kind of bohemian, modern chic,” she shared. “We have made it so cool. I’m so happy. It’s my favorite room!”

Molly also said that she was “a little nervous about the delivery and breastfeeding… I hope I can do it, I hope we come through. I am so excited to meet him and just hold his hand.” Aw… congrats to her. Congrats to the happy family. I know most of y’all don’t care, but I like Molly Sims and I wish her well. I hope that she doesn’t become one of those mothers (cough-JessicaAlba-cough) who uses all things motherhood to launch some kind of second career. If Molly launches a motherhood website called “The Motherhood MOLLY” I will stop liking her.

    Congratulations!

  2. gee says:

Maybe she went fast because she’s nearing the end of the baby-age-period?

That’s EXACTLY what I was thinking. She obviously came to the point where marriage and family was what she wanted and by the time she got married she got on the ball with the family part! I think there’s going to be an increase in this as many of us come to the realization/readiness for or finally see that desire met later in life. I say if you’ve lived over 3 decades enjoying life to the fullest by yourself/for yourself, and end up in your late 30s-early 40s wanting and able to share the rest of that life with a partner and give your life to serving that person and a child, maximize the potential and just go for it!

Totally agree! I am just on the same track as Molly – married and pregnant 2 weeks after the wedding. Just turned 38 and baby will be here in September. Some of us gals don’t have time to dilly-dally. CONGRATS Molly, can’t wait to see your little guy!

I love it, know what you want and go for it! And congrats Heather!

OMG. Her poor swollen feet in that last pic! I feel for pregnant women and their swollen feet. It must be some uncomfortable for the last few weeks of the pregnancy.

    • Jessica says:

I noticed her feets too… and her nose.. My feet did the exact same thing with my son, but not with my daughter. Its strange.

    • Agnes says:

Aaaah! But the swelling isn’t only a late pregnancy thing. It comes and goes and the further along you are, the worse it gets. (I no longer appear to have a right ankle, which gets bigger than the left, and I still have three months to go, haha!)

    • Aries_Mira says:

I noticed the same thing! 🙁 My feet where like that right near the end of my pregnancy too. At least I got to wear loose, comfy sandals in the office. I couldn’t imagine getting into high-heeled shoes at that stage (even if the heels were only 1″ high).

    LOL@Hedgehog Purple Stuber!
    Congrats to them!
I like Molly. I know she has a jewelry line but she’s not kardashian about it.

  5. tracking says:

Aw, nice news. Really loved her maternity style. Would rather see her do a maternity line than, say, Jessica Simpson.

  6. Agnes says:

    Congrats to them!

And I must stick up for Jessica Alba here – her company’s diaper service is affordable ($80 for a month’s supply of diapers delivered to your door) AND the diapers are biodegradable. I don’t care one way or the other for her as an actress, but she does some good work with the baby stuff.

  7. Bonfire Beach says:

    Good for her.

See, she looks like a normal pregnant woman. Face, body, feet, everything.

  8. Elise says:

Congratulations to her. In one of the many interviews she has given about her pregnancy I recall that she said she got pregnant on her honeymoon. I hate to say it but I’m a bit tired of watching minor (at best) celebs pimp out their babies for press to attempt to make themselves “happen.” Maybe just feeling cynical today…but she’s on the latest issue of Fit Pregnancy mag and I was like, who are you?
It is fascinating, however, to see the use of the motherhood angle as a springboard for business ventures.

  9. Ailine says:

Yeah. I think the criticism of Jessica Alba is unfair. She’s not a great actress. Who can blame her for starting a business? It’s the smartest thing she has done. I hope she is more successful with that as everyone needs to make a living.

    • Sparkly says:

LOL Good point! I have to say, motherhood really changes you dramatically. A lot of women find themselves unabashedly interested in things they never would have cared for before (omg, how many times do you see baby poop discussions on FB or whatever? Because it’s surprisingly commonplace). If a woman becomes a mother and finds a new passion in child-rearing products or education, I say power to her. I went from being a hard partier to doing birth work, education, and advocacy. It really does open whole new realms that you might not even expect.

    Those FEET!

  11. bagladey says:

Congrats to them on their new bundle of joy. Her swollen feet do look painful but maybe if you have swollen feet it’s not the best choice to wear a dress (the flowered one)that actually exposes and accentuates said swollen feet. And while I know she was pregnant and suffering from swollen feet I still can’t say enough bad things about the awful, horrible, matronly shoes in the 1st pic – yuk.

  12. Courtney says:

congrats to them wonder what they named their son. swelling is normal during pregnancy especially if you have minor/major issues with it and having children near over age 40 is nothing new Dallas Star Linda Gray had her 6th child at 44 December 1st 1984 & her 7th at 51 December 29th 1991 four months early which thankfullly Molly’s son wasn’t. granted Ms Gray was married twice 1st marriage to Ed Thrasher 28th April 1962 -69 resulted in 2 children Jeff born June 16th 1964 & Kelly born August 14th 1966 2nd Marriage Barry Gibb September 1st 1970-present 5 children Stephen born December 1st 1973 Ashley born September 8th 1977 Travis Born January 10th 1981 Michael born December 1st 1984 & Alexandra born December 29th 1991 4 months premature

    • Vicky says:

I think your talking about 2 different Linda’s. Same name but different people.

      Congrats Molly!
