Mark Ruffalo “keeps himself humble” by returning to the Marmont to wait tables

Maybe I’m just writing this story as an excuse to use all of these Mark Ruffalo photos that have been piling up for a few weeks. Mark has been in NYC filming Can A Song Save Your Life? for at least the past month or so. Mark is working with Keira Knightley, Hailee Steinfeld, Adam Levine and Catherine Keener. By the way, isn’t that a dumb name for a movie? I hope they change it. But, as always, I expect Mark to elevate even mediocre material, if that’s the case here. I especially like the photos of Mark and Keira Knightley – I really hope they got along. I think Mark is able to have chemistry with nearly all of his leading ladies.

Anyway, The Enquirer has a sweet little feel-good story about Mark. Maybe it’s BS, maybe it’s not. Who knows?

Mark Ruffalo wined, dined and reminisced with pals at Chateau Marmont about working there back in the day – then he gave them a blast from the past!

Said My Marmont Spy: “Mark asked the manager to let him wait on tables for old times’ sake. Moments later, he emerged from the kitchen juggling two armloads of plates and started serving guests.”

Mark served very professionally, returned to his table and told pals: “I love going back in time. It keeps me humble – and make me realize how lucky I really am!”

[From Mike Walker’s column, The Enquirer, print edition]

What would you do if Mark Ruffalo took your order? I would die! I bet he was a good waiter too. A good waiter is the kind that sweet-talks you into ordering dessert. Can’t you just see that? Mark saying softly, “You should really order the brownie, sweetheart. It’s amazing and you deserve it.” Men giving me food: my personal erotic fantasy. GAH.

My lord, his curls are too die for!

I don’t know how *HE* would react after hearing it. “Your dick, sir” — see? Embarrassing.

Thank you for posting these pictures. I had seen them on Laineygossip but they’re smaller. I’d love to run my fingers through that amazing hair — I bet it’s really, really soft.

ha ha ha, if he asked me I’m sure I’d end up spilling my water or choking on a mouthful of food..

      He is so HOT!

    • Tiffany27 says:

Ugh. I LOVE this man because of you Eve. Like for real, for serious, am in love.

      • Eve says:

Because of me? Well, thank you. But you should love him because of…him. Mark Ruffalo is the closest thing to perfection (like Brin said below) you could find.

Great actor, professional, loving husband (and father), kind to fans and press, goofy, funny AND…he’s f*cking Bruce Banner (ok, now I got a little carried away — the Bruce Banner thing is personal).

Seriously, he actually is what we used to think of Johnny Depp.

    • corny says:

He really is a perfect symbol of what a leading man should be…sigh!

    • Ginger says:

      LOL! Eve!!!!!

    • I Choose Me says:

His hair is gorgeous and his lips looks so soft and well-shaped. Great laid back vibe too. Unf! These pictures of him are really doing it for me today.

I know why I like the way he looks – he reminds me of my husband! same dark hair with grey, same slightly chubby face – PURE SEX!!!

    • kate says:

um, you are lucky. husband that looks like ruffalo? lucky.
my husband is hot, but he is more of the tall athletic hot, not the scruffy artistic hot. why is it that the celebs I think are hot are so different looking than my husband? Prolly makes for better fantasy since it is so “different”! Ha have a field day all you shrinks out there…

      • n says:

Scruffy looking men have always been my type. The funniest thing is that even when I fantasise about my hubby’s lookalikes 😛 but athletic looking men are also yum 🙂 so good for you :)))

  3. brin says:

He is pretty darn close to perfect!

    • Lauren says:

Mark feels authentic..which is very sexy. He doesn`t look plastic or act phoney. And i love his Voice. Cuddling & talking afterwards..would be pure bliss.

  4. NYC_girl says:

I love him so… he and Loki were the only two things keeping me in my seat during the Avengers.

  5. Samigirl says:

Love him. Love everything he does and everything about him. I think he’s one of the most underrated actors out there.

  6. satty says:

I used to work with his mom at Nordstrom. I didn’t know that beautiful creature was her child for a couple months, she only told me because it came up in conversation. She’s the sweetest lady, and I’m sure that’s where Mark gets his some of his humility from.

  7. lower-case deb says:

i wonder if he had to wait the tables when the Lindsay-LGaga-LdelRay triumvirate was there. nothing like polishing your acting chops around them. 🙂

  8. carrie says:

good for him and good actor!

  9. lucy2 says:

Love him – talented actor, great guy, and involved in a lot of environmental causes.
If things don’t work out with me and Paul Rudd, I’ll give Mark a call. 😉

  10. TheOriginalKitten says:

God, he is pure sex. I love him-so talented, so hot and he just SEEMS cool ya know? He makes “rumpled” look so delicious.

  11. Aussie girl says:

I just love, love, love this guy. Other actors should take note.

  12. Kaye says:

All you Ruffalo fans should watch “In the Cut,” a movie from about 10 years ago. Meg Ryan is in it also. It’s a pretty dark movie but if you like Ruffalo it will be worth it.

    • Mitch Buchanan Rocks! says:

Yes he made that movie – that man can rock a mustache and looks great in the buff 🙂

  13. Little Darling says:

He seems like the sweetest, most down to earth guy. When I’ve seen him in interviews he is so unassuming and almost bashful, it’s quite endearing. He’s so dreamy too, an excellent actor and all around big GOLD STAR!!

  14. Naye in VA says:

OMG Ive always loved his laid back sexy. And umm total package check on that first pic.

    now im in trouble lol

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

You know that’s been a very popular rumor about him for a long time right?
      I believe it 🙂

      • Naye in VA says:

OMG im about to make his crotch my screensaver.
Mark if you troll the gossip sites, just hit me, we can make this happen. I wont be gentle lol.

      • Eve says:

If you haven’t seen it already, you MUST watch In The Cut. He’s buck naked in that movie.

      • TheOriginalKitten says:

        Exactly, Eve!

All this Ruffalo talk…phew..I think I might need to step outside for a second.

  15. the original bellaluna says:

How I would LOVE to run my fingers through his hair! le sigh…

Such a great actor (I loved him in Blindness and Reservation Road and yes, even 13 Going On 30) and he just seems so damn sweet! 😀

    • Naye in VA says:

He’s always played that nice guy, but my hots for him went up with The Brothers Bloom, and I was pretty much neck deep in lust by the time is saw the Kids are All Right, and he was totally endearing but jerky in both of those.

  16. barb says:

Love him, but like his hair when its shorter and he’s more clean cut.

  17. Mira says:

My heart goes shalala lala shalala in the morning. Oh oh oh shalala lala, shalala in the sunshine….

What would you do if Mark Ruffalo took your order? I’d order to have him, TO GO 😉

  18. Miss Grown Ashell says:

Mark is sexy as hell..I always said I would…if I could.

  19. Fue McCormick says:

… to stay humble Andy Kaufman bussed tables at Art’s Deli on Ventura Blvd. in Studio City one night a week until he died …

  20. suzanna says:

of all the recent movies, the only actors I am interested in are Mark and Denis Leary.

  21. buckley says:

Love Mark, but I cannot watch a movie with Adam Levine in it.

  22. Kosmos says:

He seems down to earth, unassuming, good husband and father, all qualities I find very attractive in a man. Hate the kind of man that needs attention everywhere he goes, has to be flirtatious with women, or seems too much into himself. Mark seems to have none of those negatives, so good for him !

  23. erika says:

    ahhhh molte grazie!

senor ruffalo e’ molte dolce delicioso! he knocks my knees!
I discovered him in Zodiac about the zodiac killer in SF he played the journalist who solves it in the long run…god damn it….

  24. Marta says:

he is too short to be in love with him, but the curls
    I love !!!

  25. j. eyre says:

I feel better just knowing Mark Ruffalo is in the world.
“You should really order the brownie, sweetheart. It’s amazing and you deserve it” – This is probably exactly what he would say.

  26. dahlianoir says:

I don’t care of his tiny dong, a look of him and i’m taken away !
