Lady Gaga talks “fat” criticism again, calls herself a “fat, attention-seeking whore”

These are photos of Lady Gaga and Donatella Versace in Milan yesterday. They went to dinner, and then Gaga changed wigs and she and Donatella posed for some photos on some kind of balcony, both of them looking like they were the reanimated corpse of Eva Peron. Gaga’s puppy Fozzi joined them on the balcony. Donatella and Gaga are pretty tight – Donatella notably opened up Versace’s 1980s archives for Gaga last year, to mixed/awful results.

Anyway, remember Lady Gaga’s “body revolution” and how she was trying to show the world that they should be proud of how they look by taking photos of herself from a high, flattering angle while she sucked in her stomach? Well, I thought the whole “Gaga is a spokeswoman for positive body image” thing was a load of bulls—t, but even I had to admit that there were some positive things that came out of it, mostly IN SPITE of Gaga’s narcissism and perpetual famewhoring. But Gaga is still feeling the sting of being called “fat” by a couple of UK tabloids. So she spoke about this complicated issue in a measured, intelligent way without the use of straw-man arguments, and that did not involve an air of self-martyrdom or self-aggrandizing. Just kidding, Lady Gaga pretty much got on the cross and threw a giant, self-involved pity party.

In case you missed it, she says, “They won’t kill me. They won’t stop me from speaking my mind. I will make music for you for the next 30 years. You know, so for like, let’s cheers. Let’s celebrate. To 30 more years of them calling me a sl*t. To 30 more years of them calling me a fat, attention-seeking wh*re. To 30 more years of people telling me to shut my mouth about equality and gay rights. May we say cheers and celebrate 30 more years of the conversation that we’ve started that we’re never gonna finish.” FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. Does someone else want to take the analysis of this one? Because this bitch exhausts me. My only argument at this point is, “Okay, but why didn’t you say any of this when your fans were calling Adele fat?”

Yeah…she’s so…fat…look…there in the inner inner corner of her waist…oh wait, no…that’s a fabric roll.

When it comes to celebrities and weight they never want to celebrate it till they gain a few pounds. Then its “HEAVY WOMEN OF THE WORLD UNITE” from a speakerphone. Her and Christina can sit. I’m sorry you managed to gain 15 lbs…this doesn’t make you plus-sized, fat…or even heavy. It shows you how real women gain and lose weight when they don’t have weight loss companies offering them millions, persona trainers, or chefs cooking all their meals.

Gaga will get back to her heroin-chic size because I fully believe it kills her to be heavier than that (clearly she’s already dropping a few).

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

Yes yes yes to everything you wrote.

The pics of her sucking it in were pretty clear evidence of her discomfort with having gained a couple lbs.

As you said, I’m sure she’ll be back to emaciated before you know it and her “big is beautiful” campaign will be in the sh*tter.

    • Lm says:

That crack will help her shed those pounds like there’s no tomorrow.

    • Mitch says:

I seriously can’t at some of the comments on here. It’s sad to see how badly some of you have let a celebrity status affect your time of day. If LG has put on weight, why should you care? So many of you are being so naive, put yourself in her position for a minute and realize that you have the eyes of the whole world on you – your insecurities are going to be one of the top things in mind. Whether you want to be honest to yourself and admit that is up to you, but EVERYONE is insecure about something – and when that gets put on blast about you and lets the whole world know it, see it, live it – you better be damn right someone motivated and ambitious is going to try everything in her right mind to do her best to minimize that effect.

If any of you understood the amount of fans (and I don’t even relate to this crowd) that Gaga has helped, or that Gaga hears how she has impacted youth and helped them feel stronger, or helped them love themselves just for who they are, if you had a damn thing to do in your life or an ounce of a heart you would try your hardest to reach out to anyone you could. Bullying has been a huge problem in the world, whether it is cyberbullying or physically – take a damn Ethics class and see the stats for yourself!

Open your eyes people! Choke down your envy and don’t take out the fact that some of you might not have as good fortunes as someone as her, don’t drag someone who is trying to make a difference in the world for the better if you are sitting on your computer right now not doing shit, which no doubt in my mind a good majority of ANYONE who checks up on this godawful website is probably guilty of.

  2. Nev says:

ahhhh the red Versace looked better when Cindy Crawford wore it in the original fashion show/shoot.

why does she have to budgetize eerything?!!!!!!

  3. Fai says:

The dog covering Donatella’s face = best pic of her ever.

  4. Evelyn says:

It sounds like “30 more years of people talking about me!” I wish someone would tell her she’s not a controversial as she thinks she is

    • Christian says:

+1. She’s annoying, end of story. I would say she won’t last another 10 years, but considering Britney f*cking Spears has been around for 13, I’ll just hang my head and cry.

    • 007 says:

30 years?! Bitch please!!! I’ll give you 5 years AND IT’S MAXIMUM. And Brit is still here only because her mental issues. People feel sorry for her. Pathetic.

      • TheOriginalKitten says:

5 years is generous. You can only skate by on “reinventing yourself” for so long.
And by “reinvention”, I mean this b*tch would have to get a sex change to keep the public interested.

      • EmmaStoneWannabe says:

I hope yall are right…somehow Madonna has managed to stick around

    • videli says:

If I’d known for sure we’re going to have another 30 years of her, I’d move to Montana as far away as possible from cable and internet connection.

  5. the original bellaluna says:

What did her boobs ever do to her to deserve that treatment?

And I’m totally over the whole “fat” thing with her. At first, I chimed in (when I usually don’t read or comment on stories about her) because I don’t think it’s cool that she was being called fat and told to lose weight by her label, just like I did with Adele.

But I ADORE Adele and LOVE her voice and music. And she didn’t make as big a deal about it, either.

    • alyssa says:

Her boobs look disgusting. Especially in that fourth pic, they look so saggy.

      • wendy says:

Dude. That is not an enlightening contribution to this conversation. If you’ll notice, people here are analysing this situation in light of Gaga’s history of hypocrisy and self-aggrandising. Not how accurate her body-haters are. Address your own boob hatred first then make a better conversational contribution.

      • Pia says:

lol @ wendy… you know this is a celebrity gossip blog right? “Not an enlightening contribution to this conversation” lol it’s not a fucking classroom

    • Tiffany says:

“My only argument at this point is, “Okay, but why didn’t you say any of this when your fans were calling Adele fat?”

….But Gaga DID come to Adele’s defense! Her rep said this, “”Lady Gaga does not approve of bullying anyone for their physical appearance, it goes against everything she stands for. A tiny handful of fans may be letting her down.”

And Gaga said this on radio BBC1: ” “I didn’t speak to anyone in particular, but anyone who would say anything negative about Adele, I wouldn’t support. I love her immensely. She’s very sweet. We’ve exchanged emails about our mutual love.

“I wish her all the best for her recovery in her vocals, and I can’t wait to hear her new music. She’s an amazing success in the U.S. and in the U.K., and it’s wonderful to see such strong women thriving in pop music. I wouldn’t condone anything against Adele.”

  6. hayley says:

Donatella looks really good here. for her, anyway.

    • lulu says:

Donatella NEVER looks good; not with that Muppet face.

      • V4Real says:

Donatella does look like Kermit the frog. As for Gaga, get over yourself you self-deprecating annoying little f_ck.

      • Sassy says:

I think Donatella has a fabulous figure, but what is with her face? She is obviously not anti facial surgery given her lips. If so, why doesn’t she have a nose job? Her nose looks like it was broken at one time. She must be really tiny, since Gaga looms over her.

      • FingerBinger says:

@V4Real she does not look like Kermit. She looks like Janice the Muppet. There are pics of them side by side if you Google it.

      • KC says:

@Lulu: Don’t insult muppets like that.

@Sassy: But it’s the part of her face that she’s reinvented the least! How else will people recognize her?
I think she did something to it because it actually looks wider in some places and thinner in others than her original nose. But it’s kind of hard to analyze her face because all I can think when I look at her current face is “Death Eater!”: http://plasticsurgerystar.com/users/1/page_images4/Donatella%20Versace%20Plastic%20Surgery.jpg

      • Ed45 says:

        @KC: “Death Eater” is hilarious!

      • KC says:

@Ed4: I can’t take credit for it, I stole it from Michael K over on Dlisted. I used to always think she looked like the Grim Reaper or Death, but Death Eater just has a better ring to it.

    • Meg13 says:

Gaga makes Donatella look more natural here, if not good. I think that says something!

  7. cd says:

i love her sense of humour. it takes a lot to win me over – go gaga!

  8. Val says:

    So bored of her.

  9. lower-case deb says:

in the third picture (where donatella’s holding up the dog in front of her face), Lady Gaga looks like Lindsay Lohan so much it made me double take.

    • Melanie says:

I though the same thing! On the home page, where you click the story, I thought to myself “CeleBitchy” screwed up! They have a picture of Loser Lohan where a picture of Gaga should be”! Too funny!

  10. fabgrrl says:

So, she’s gone from incredibly skinny to just slender. Yeah, total cow.

  11. dooliloo says:

She tried to bunch a whole lots of words in prose to sound intelligent and she failed miserably.

and Donatella Versace should be starring in a Tim Burton movie.

    Next!

  12. heatheradair says:

Er, if we’re splitting hairs, SHE’S not calling herself fat so much as she’s shining a big, obnoxious spotlight on what everyone else is saying about her…..

  13. ladybert62 says:

    Love the puppy!!!

  14. Christian says:

Gaga claiming she “started the conversation” for gay rights in America is incredibly insulting to the everyday people and non-profit groups who have worked and campaigned tirelessly (with little funding) for pro-gay changes within their community for several decades. This self-absorbed c*nt needs to have a seat.

  15. Eleonor says:

    I love that red Versace.

  16. TheOriginalKitten says:

    Where to start?

Despite your warped self-perception, you’re not a revolutionary feminist, Gaga.
You’re not Gloria Steinem, hell you’re not even MADONNA. You’re not the amazing gay icon you think you are-Bette Midler did it first and she was braver-a gay rights crusader before it was “fashionable”. You’re not doing anything new. You’re not avante-garde, you’re derivative, boring and dated.

One last thing-your insistence on wearing fur coats is apalling and nauseating.

In short, Gaga, your time is almost up. You’re struggling to remain relevant but you’re losing. BADLY.

    • Carly says:

      + Infinity

    • lucy2 says:

      Thank you!
She seriously needs to get over herself. She makes pop music – she’s not curing cancer or saving the world. Ridiculous.

If people are talking about her in 30 years, I think it’s going to be more of a “hey, remember her? That was weird” kind of thing.

      • EmmaStoneWannabe says:

I hate to say it but Gaga would be doing well to still be physically alive in 30 years…her current lifestyle doesnt lead one to believe she will have a health-filled life before her.

    • Esmom says:

Yes, yes, yes. And, um, yes.

    • Lm says:

      Yesyesyes!!

  17. Mindy says:

I just love that she thinks people will still be talking about her in 30 years. Sure, she may still be making music (for the six folks who go to see her).. but REALLY?? The only reason are talking about her now is the weight fluctuation. Gaga.. get over yourself.. you are 14 minutes in to your 15 minutes of fame and those seconds are counting down.

  18. savedbykittylitter says:

30 years??? in her dreams lol, she thinks she is a big deal so everybody hates her, I don’t hate her (actually I liked her in “The Fame” days) then she went mega annoying and her ego is eating her persona, she is the actual fame monster

    • Gabriella says:

I’m with you. I remember I bought The Fame CD thinking I was buying the prime of an artist that could be the new madonna or whatever, unknowingly a few years later I’d be rolling my eyes to every stunt she pulls…

  19. Pigeon says:

Despite the antics and statements for which people seem to hate her, you can’t deny that she’s doing good.

On her Monster Ball tour, she called a fan from onstage every night and talked to them; for every call, Virgin Mobile donated $20,000 to a homeless teen charity she loves. That’s insane.

I hate the hostility people have towards her; let her make music (even if you can’t stand it) and respect the fact that she has done and continues to do a lot of amazing work for LGBT rights and teen issues awareness.

    In short, please. Be nice.

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

I don’t want to jump all over you and I think I made my opinion about Gaga pretty clear but I just have to say the following:

I get that you’re a fan, I GET it, believe me. I’m just struggling to see how Virgin donating 20K to a charity is indicative of Gaga doing “so much” for the world. In fact, I’d be willing to bet that all of us would do the same thing if given the opportunity. So how does that make her some revolutionary crusader for the LGBT community or for teens?

Do you ever watch Making A Difference (NBC nightly news)? If you did, you’d realize it’s the quiet, selfless devotion, the simple acts of kindness, and the “regular folk” who quietly donate time and energy to the causes they believe in, who ask for no accolades in return, who are not seeking fame and fortune, THOSE are the people who are truly changing the world, not the Gagas. It saddens me that pop culture seems to be the most effective vehicle to reach our youth because pop stars are simply NOT the real heros.
I’m not trying to sound sanctimonious but I honestly feel like people are so absorbed in Hollywood idol-worshipping that we sometimes forget that there are people affecting REAL change, most of them without the resources, money and access of the Hollywood elite.

Read about Betty Friedan, a TRUE activist and feminist. Learn about people that have made a difference, without fame and fortune being the driving motivation.

“It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.”

      -Robert F. Kennedy

      • Julianthe says:

I’d thumbs up your comment if I could, TheOriginalKitten. Btw, the donation is a wonderful thing for “Virgin Mobile” to do.

      • Pigeon says:

I’m incredibly aware of all of the people who do amazing things and go unnoticed their whole lives. But at least she tries to do something, unlike hundreds of other celebrities. I didn’t say she was revolutionary. But God, you all are vicious.

I can’t believe some of this; some have called her a c*nt, whore, and bitch, and I’m sure people are thinking worse things. It’s disheartening how what’s supposed to be a fun place to talk bitchy about celebrities can turn into a hate-fest for everyone. There are always terrible comments regarding everything anyone does.

Also, the people that go unnoticed obviously don’t end up on celebrity websites; celebrities do. That’s why they’re open for discussion. But this is hateful.

      • ShaCur says:

Perhaps I should reach out to her to fund an inclusive shelter for LGBTQH victims of domestic violence here in NY since none exist and there is a dire need (only a few homeless shelters in NYC have toyed with the idea). $100,000 to copy the Massachusetts model that has been incredibly successful and saved hundreds of lives in its short time of existence. Now there’s a “charity” that could make an insanely positive impact on all DV survivors.

…But if she starts advertising herself as a pioneer for this type of need….you all heard my pitch here first! (and I have practically referenced the entire Mass. model in my proposal)

    • some bitch says:

LOL, no. Little Morons are the biggest bullies around- I had one call me a dyke not too long ago! So much for all that trumpeting about LGBT rights from her and her idiot fans.

    • Darth says:

‘Julianthe’ is right. You shouldn’t be giving CaCa credit for money that Virgin Mobile is donating. If she ever parted with her own damn dollars & cents then we would give her credit. Bitch is worth roughly $150million, yet all of her “charity” work is always her doing nothing more than loaning her name to the charity, like this Virgin Mobile thing, or when she “designed” a rubber bracelet that people could buy to send money to Japan. It always benefits her more than anything. She gets her name in the papers, gets to look like a good person, all the while never losing a single cent of her own money. And this is from someone who loves to go on and on in her concerts about how she “hates money”. Good god, you little monsters are so very gullible.

      • Lm says:

Gaga was sued for the Japan thing as she made money for it or how it was. It was a scam at least.

    • dooliloo says:

You are a Gaga fan and your “name” is Pigeon. I rest my case.

    • Lm says:

$20 000 is a crack night out for Gaga. Gimme a call when she donates $20 million.

  20. TheOneAndOnlyOnly says:

I agree christian: I despise it when celebutards “discover” a cause and then act like they were the first person in history to bring attention to it; remember the first riot in the village in 1969; shouldn’t gaggles know about this?
    Pigeon I don’t care what she does on stage because her music is recylced generic crap; give me a band like the mighty zeppelin 3 to 3 and 1/2 hours of great music no bs just live loud rock, their music carried the day they didn’t need this irrelevant pr bs;
    The originalkitten your comments are too good; does Gaggles spend anytime anymore attempting to make decent music, as opposed to famewhoring;
Finally, will that poor cute dog need pyschotherapy after being around these two clowns?
BTW, i still can’t believe she isn’t being lambasted by so-called “progressives” for wearing fur, she is not Aphrodite for God’s sake, just a contrived pop tart.

  21. Havik says:

Wait…so she’s on this crusade about accepting your body, yet she still hangs out with Donatella Versace?

Maybe I could take Gag-Gag more seriously if her head wasn’t so far up her own arse.

  22. Diva says:

    Gaga shut up.

  23. velourazure says:

donatella seriously looks like she was just exhumed.

  24. Minky says:

why does she look like LiLo to me in those bottom few photos??? I don’t think she’s fat, but I’m beginning to wonder if she’s riding the same magic bus Lindsay is on.

  25. Anne says:

She will be around the next THIRTY years? Dear Lord, please don’t let this be true.

  26. Julianthe says:

Well at least she’s got the “attention-seeking whore” part right. OMG Gaga,…you do realize your fan base is diminishing as we speak? Get that meat-covered stick out of your alleged fat-ass!

  27. Darth says:

    Keep dreaming, bitch.
If Madonna was apparently over after about 20, and Xtina & Britney are apparently over after 10, then there is no way in hell your talentless, second-rate ass is going to last 30 more years. Take the zero off the end of that. You’ll be lucky if you get 3 more, dumb ass.

  28. Gigi says:

…was she drunk at that concert? She was slurring like crazy. I’m tired of her too, enough already. She made her point and she should probably drop it and move on.

  29. KC says:

Does she remind anyone else of Kanye West with her statement? This gave me a major flash back to his “Why won’t you let me be great?!” rant. Yes, we’re all holding you back. The criticisms have nothing to do with the fact that you are an annoying narcissist, it’s just us holding you back.

    • Gigi says:

lol! good point, i completely forgot about that kanye rant. yeah, she totally loves to play the victim card.

  30. PinKPunk says:

She looks pretty fit and trim in that fugly red dress, she’s probably a uk size 10 now, ugh, in 2-3 weeks she’ll loose another 10 lbs you wait and see, she’s as “fat” as she is “bisexual”.

  31. Bee says:

Just gonna address the part about Adele, like someone provided evidence of above, she DID speak against the section of fans who were saying crap about Adele’s weight and she’s wished her well lots of times, so yeah you might like to get your facts right about that part.

Now carry on with your bashing.

@Pinkpunk: except you know her personally though, how do you know she’s not bisexual? Because she hasn’t been with a woman yet? Or do you just assume she must be faking it.

  32. KC says:

@Pigeon: “It’s disheartening how what’s supposed to be a fun place to talk bitchy about celebrities can turn into a hate-fest for everyone.”

If that isn’t your definition of bitchy, what is? Seriously, I’d like to know because we clearly have divergent ideas and it would be good to know how other people think.

  33. dcypher1 says:

Shes so full of her self shes so unoriginal too. Everything u say do or ware someone else has done it before u caca.i hate how she acts like shes the only one in the world who is an advocate for gay rights.

  34. Violet Parker says:

For people who really don’t like her or are sick of her, you sure put a lot of energy and time into her. I bet 90% of the time you’re talking about her and the other 10% waiting for someone to bring her up to talk about her more.

The end result? GaGa slays and you basic bitches will deal. Stay pressed:)
