#1, and she sounds like a robot. I don’t get it.

  2. Mia says:

And who exactly buys her Music?! I don’t know such people.

  3. jaclyn says:

Okay Mia, I buy her music! I LOVE BRITNEY! 🙂 Her album is amazing!!!!!!!!!

  4. Mia says:

    ОК… Now I’m worried about you! 😉

  5. VIPER says:

Her “album” is nothing but synthisized noise. Anybody can do what she’s been doing. Simply by owning a Pro-tools M-box protible studio edition.

Her music is mindless, and has no substance. Nor does it carry any weight or contribute to the art of music. Only people who have low self-esteem, are gay, loveless parents, and superical hearts who care about materialistic possessions and seek the insignificant BUY her music.

  6. Mia says:

    @Viper – Thank you!

  7. Hmm says:

It just goes to show a brilliantly executed pr blitz over four weeks aided by almost everyone in the media can benefit a celeb. She’s one of the only “singers” whose reviews never mentions her singing voice or lack thereof.

  8. viper says:

    @ Mia – you’re welcome.

  9. jaclyn says:

@ Viper- Don’t generalize. You sound like an idiot. Britney Spears is a hit for a reason, many people like her.

  10. jaclyn says:

“Only people who have low self-esteem, are gay, loveless parents, and superical hearts who care about materialistic possessions and seek the insignificant BUY her music.”

…wow. What to correct about this generalized statement first?? So incredibly biased, it’s mind-boggling!

  11. viper says:

I report what I see. All the people that are shallow, self-absorbed, ignorant, self-fish and all the rest that I mentioned above are all people I know IN PERSON. They all have one thing in common. They listen to B.S and the likes.

I listen to Disturbed, Godsmack, Staind, U2 ect. Songs that actually have messages, substance, a feel and a reason behind it all and are generally poetic. Songs that aren’t forgettable and aren’t trendy.

B.S is not an artist or musican or singer. People like me are.

  12. Mia says:

In BS world when someone tells the truth They call him idiot… 😉

  13. Dingles says:

Viper, your musical tastes aren’t anything to write home about either. Those bands’ songs are just as repetitive and formulaic as Britney’s, and honestly they probably share more than a few fans with her as well. You can’t really call others shallow when your own supposedly superior musical tastes don’t branch out of Top 40 radio.

Be smug all you like, but watered down music is watered down music, regardless of genre.

  14. viper says:

The music I do isnt watered down. It’s no where near trendy and actually does have a purpose and message. As for the bands I listen to none of them leave me with the feeling of losing my I.Q. I literally get a head ache when I’m forced to listen to BS and the likes. It takes REAL talent to master a guitar and instruments in general. It takes NOTHING to compose synthisized music. All you need is a crash course on how to use pro-tools and you’re set. It’s like photoshop it’s the computer doing all the work for you.

I am not being smug, I am sharing a very common view on such mindless noise. The fact that BS is so well known and so famous only proves just proves my theory on how desperate people have become for an escape. And how emotionally constipated it’s become.

  15. jaclyn says:

“All the people that are shallow, self-absorbed, ignorant, self-fish and all the rest that I mentioned above are all people I know IN PERSON.”

There, you just it. Those are people YOU know in person. You CAN’T speak for the rest of us and the entire population by making generalized statements like that. Just because people YOU KNOW that are Britney fans are like that, doesn’t mean everyone else is too!

You can’t say that all of Britney’s songs do not have a meaning and message behind them. Listen to all her songs and tell me differently, I dare you.

  16. viper says:

It is because I have listened to her that I have formed an opinion of her. I make it a practice to always listen to things first before I form an opinion. I am not like most who just say so and so just to act cool and think I’m better or have a superiority complex. I genuinely do not find her noise appealing. After years of trying and attempting to blend in with people around me who think such noise is music. I found it was absolutely impossible to do so. because IT IS NOT music.

    From
    You drive me crazy!
    to
    I’m a slave for you
    to You’re toxic
    And
    Her latest work:
    Gimme Gimme Gimme gimme more
Womanizer womanizer womanizer youre a womanizer

What sort of message is she trying to convay? Let me guess, she thinks the guy is a womanizer and she wants more drama. What a revelation! I feel inspired now.

It’s songs like this http://www.myspace.com/adifferentscale that have substance and purpose and genuinely are relatable. They carry messages and hope and are raw and arent synthisized. Thats real music. It’s THIS kind of music that stands against time.

  17. jaclyn says:

THAT’S IT? That’s all you have based Britney on? Try listening to “Everytime” or “My Baby”. Those songs are heartfelt and very much do have a point.

  18. viper says:

I am aware of everytime and my baby. You missed the song “I will be there ” But thats hardly what she’s based her fame on is it? THREE songs out of more than a decade of meaningless noise and being in the industry. Hardly impressive. Her fall during the time of her marriage only proves her fame is based solely on her sex appeal. NOT her “music”. The sad part is she has obviosuly failed to realize that beauty diminishes. She had a chance to find a way to improve herself and possiblly her music but instead she melted down, broke down and went back to using her body to sell herself to the masses.

She is no singer, musician or artist. She’s just the product of trendy noise. And a victim of the abuse inflicted by the music industry.

  19. Kat says:

Good for her. I love her music, and I’m an old lady.

  20. mel says:

congrats to Brit. i’m glad she’s back and back on top of the charts.

  21. Lauri says:

what a great pic of the Sutherland men. They both just look so happy! It’s pretty cool for them that they have both been successful in the same field.

  22. vdantev says:

Same way a car wreck garners big news. You feel dirty for looking, but you can’t stop. Curiosity sales are still sales though.

  23. Baholicious says:

I still blame video for all these aural atrocities…the music doesn’t matter anymore people. It hasn’t for a very long time.

  24. Codzilla says:

Viper: I can’t stand Britney, either, but jaclyn is right: Blathering on about how EVERY SINGLE PERSON who listens to BS is a shallow moron seems far more idiotic than the people you’re trying to vilify. People like what they like, and that’s fine. And frankly, if I was forced to choose between Britney and Staind, I’d take a loaded hand gun and a bottle of whiskey, instead.

  25. jaclyn says:

    Codzilla, thank you!

  26. RAN says:

How did a links page generate so much commentary? 8)

Agree with Codzilla… I like a variety of music – doesn’t mean I fall in with the group as a moron because I like one genre or another. That’s a silly perspective.

  27. Codzilla says:

jaclyn: No problem. Now go listen to Circus to your heart’s content. 😀
