Last night, the MTV Europe Awards were held in Frankfurt, Germany. It was a mess! It was a mess of fashion and awards – like, David Hasselhoff was the co-host and Taylor Swift won big. See? A mess. You can read a summary of who won what here – Swifty took home 3 awards, as did Justin Bieber. Other winners included Psy and Carly Rae Jepsen, and Rihanna lost every category she was up for. So, let’s talk fashion. Swifty wore J. Mendel (one of her favorite labels) on the red carpet. I liked this when I first saw it, but it loses some of its appeal on further viewings. And I really want her to grow out her bangs. Ugh.
Here’s Heidi Klum in a custom-made Versace. AWFUL. Good God. I want to burn those booties too.
Kim Kardashian in Stephane Rolland. Hot trash bag mess.
Rita Ora in Marchesa. I mean… really? This is terrible. And totally Marchesa, so it was entirely predictable. STOP WEARING MARCHESA.
Alicia Keys in Stella McCartney – it’s one of Stella’s “illusion” dresses. I like the green shade on Alicia, but this isn’t the best look overall.
Carly Rae Jepsen in Johanna Johnson… there’s a disconnect between her vibe and the glamour of the look, but it’s not horrible.

I’m convinced all of these ladies’ stylists hate them.
I saw the first pic and thought YESSSS no red lipstick this time.. and then I saw the second pic.. oohh…
Is it me or is anyone else so over Taylor Swift? And what’s with people like Heidi Klum and Kim Kardashian at these events? They aren’t singers. I guess they just invite anyone.

SO OVER TAYLOR SWIFT. And ditto on the comment above, I’m so sick of her in red dresses and red lipsticks.
My guess is Heidi Klum hosted because she was born/raised in Germany and she chose her dress as a nod to German fashion.
Have you seen German fashion? It is an aesthetic unlike any other.

Although I don’t like the heavy bangs, I think Taylor and Carly Rae’s dresses are nice. The rest are unfortunate (in particular Rita Ora’s dress-how can anyone think that looks good?).
Side night-I’m thinking maybe Taylor didn’t get implants after all? Or maybe she had them removed already?
Except forTaylor Swift, in her predictable sparkles and glitter, everyone looks awful, especially Hiedi.
That second picture with her awards seriously made me think of an evil cartoon cat.

I’m not a Taylor Swift fan; I’ve never seen what what it is people find so alluring about her but I do think she looks beautiful here.
Taylors boobs looked fuller than before. Did she get some work done? I remember she was almost flat chested bout a year ago.
So let’s start. Taylor Swift: at least she didn’t wear a red dress, hate the hair and make up. Rita Ora: she actually looks nice I like the dress, she needs darker hair. Heidi Klum: you got a dress custom designed for you and THIS is what you agreed on, how the hell are you a judge/host on a show about designing if this is what you can come up with? Kim: this dress is so unflattering, from the side it looks like her boobs are touching her stomach, she should really learn that ankle strap shoes aren’t her friend, her legs are short & stumpy already why does she insist on making them shorter & stumpier, I saw a close up of her face the lashes are a mess & her bottom lip looks like a slug. Alicia Keys: this dress will be so much better without that god awful chocker and that disgusting librarian hair cut. Carly Rae: meh, dress is pretty but she does nothing for me.
These women forgot that halloween was last week especially Heidi Klum she look like Britney Spears in the 90s.
Taylor in the other hand looks gorg. She needs to go back to her curly hair the bang situation is not working.

Heidi looks like a goddess. Taylor’s dress is lovely…she looks impeccably pretty as usual. I like Rita Ora’s look as well…like she’s in a story book of some kind. Very fun. Hair could be better tho.

This girl is so damn lucky because she CANNOT sing whatsoever! I heard her sing live two weeks ago in NYC and she was horrid. I mean some people are just born to do well because she should not have been as famous and relevant for the amount of time that she is. Her management team have the midas touch let me tell you…
Heidi’s look is really trashy she is not that young anymore to dress like that even she still looks good is not age apropriate ,Taylor looks so beautiful and Kim’s dress is ugly .
Wow. They were all bad, but the Marchesa was the strongest overall presentation- so strange to type that!
Okay can we give Taylor the benefit of doubt and say actually despite sometimes her bangs looking awful, they are literally HEAVENLY compared to Carly Rae’s here. What even is that?? It looks like it’s trying to take over her face. In the name of all that is holy..
I saw show. It was so embarrassing that half of the winners did not show up. Like no celebrity cared about this free publicity and were to lazy or to “big” to show up just for show. They probably gave those awards to Taylor because she showed up. There were even no big celebrities to present the awards. I think that there were 4 or 5 awards that announcer said: Nicki Minaj for for Hip-Hop, Best Rock went to Linkin Park, Best Electronic went to David Guetta… Without presenter and showing the names of other nominees.
I also was disappointed of Psy. Who lip-synced his song. Which means he can’t sing it live.
And I think that audience booed when Justin Bieber won one time 🙂 And they almost booed when Kim Kardashian showed up on stage.
Swify looks the best here, and I hate these stupid illusion dresses!
I love the Marchesa gown but not for this event and not with Ora’s limp hairstyle, black roots, bracelet and ring.
The entire look is just wrong because the dress is a poofy ball gown which needs to be worn in a grand, elegant venue with a huge ballroom dripping with chandeliers.
I like the dress and I really like the whole look when she doesn’t have the red lipstick on, I feel like sometimes it ages her, she looked something quite close to sexy without the red lipstick.
But yeah, starting to get a little sick of the bangs, it’s no longer her new-look seeing as she’s had it for quite sometime now and I’m not sure what it really did for her in the first place so yeah, the bangs should go.
