  1. Amelia says:

So one sister is American and the other is British … who knew Oz had so many accents?

  2. Nanz says:

So, let me get this straight. Sandra Bullock and Camills Alves are friends? Aren’t Matthew Mc. and Bullock exes? Interesting. I like it.

  3. the original bellaluna says:

Ok, I’ve loved Rachel since The Mummy, but anything involving James Franco repulses me.

    Am I alone?

    • Amelia says:

      I’m on the fence, tbh.
I’ll probably see this because of a combination of god-kids, Rachel and having a drink beforehand then laughing at Franco’s ahhrrt.

    • RocketMerry says:

I loved Oz since I was a kid and I have a really shameful douche-crush on Franco, but man, he really is underacting here!
I mean, you know you’re doing a lousy job when Michelle William’s boring big-doe-eyed mono-expressions are upstaging you. Sigh.

Anywoo, Hi Bella! ‘Melia, hello 🙂

    • gg says:

I was just gonna say I wish they didn’t pick the dullard Franco for this role, but I LOVE the CGI.

  4. OhDear says:

Oh Lord, the Courtney Stodden debut – no, no, no, no, no, no! Felt wrong just reading that sentence!

Re: the Evelyn Lozada/Chad Johnson alimony news – interesting reversal.

  5. Nev says:

Morning Wood is generally a good sign of health that a man is in working order!!!!

  6. I'm going to Guam! says:

That California/L.A. accent is very annoying here and I can’t take Franco, Kunis and Williams seriously in this movie for some reason.
It takes me away from this magical land called Oz and back to an L.A. parking lot or starbucks or wherever people with that accent hang out.

  7. Nicole says:

James Franco is still so hot to me. I have serious issues.

  8. Vesper Lynd says:

No children fairy tale/night time story is safe from Hollyweird directors these days…what’s next? Making movies out of lullabies.?..i”tchy bitchy cokey spider, went down the drain again”, starring Lindsay Lohan as the arachnid? “

    • KellyinSeattle says:

Yep. I’m tired of all the remakes of classics.

      • andy says:

It’s not a remake. Frank Baum wrote several Oz books, which are the inspiration for this film. This is suppose to be the background story of the Wizard.

      • KellyinSeattle says:

Sorry, I didn’t mean remake…but still…tired of prequels, sequels, etc. of classic movies.
The day that they remake Sound of Music, I’ll hang up my hat for good re: watching movies.

  9. Erinn says:

Ahaha I read “Zac Efron & David Beckham both look hot for the Lakers” as they look like they’re ‘hot for’ the Lakers. I’m assuming the meaning they look hot while watching the Lakers? Unless… maybe I read it right the first time?

  10. everyday says:

Michelle Williams. Back to long hair. NOW.

  11. apsutter says:

Why in the hell do they bother making this a live action movie when they are using this much cgi? Seriously, just make a g.d. cartoon, use their voices, and call it a freaking day. I will not be watching this just like every other cgi piece of crap being unleashed on us.

  12. ds says:

this just looks like a mess. bad mess

  13. Alarmjaguar says:

who would have thought that a movie from 1939 would be more progressive than one from 2012 – really, all of the good witches are falling all over themselves to give this guy moral support (and seductive looks) so he can rescue them. Gah, give me Dorothy any day. This looks awful.

  14. El says:

I loved James Franco when he was on Freaks and Geeks and I still like him but I’m really starting to question his acting ability.
He just doesn’t seem like he’s bringing it, sounds too modern and often looks like he’s supressing a laugh.
    He’s still pretty though.

  15. wanderlust says:

I hope everyone knows that James Franco, the artiste that he is, is making a film adaptation of “As I Lay Dying”. I think he is playing Darl. I cannot be consoled. James Franco is the worst!

  16. alons-y alonso says:

This looks like the worst thing to happen to cinema since Jersey Girl. As much as I love Rachel Weisz I’m giving this film a miss.

  17. lower-case deb says:

if anything, the Oz trailer makes me appreciate Johnny Depp even more, as an actor in these kinds of film.

  18. handsome man saved me from the monsters says:

I know I’m gonna see it even tho I’ll hate it. I just love anything oz so much.

  19. Laura says:

It looks terrible. I’d really like to see a ‘Wicked’ movie…Haven’t seen the play but I know it’s not terribly faithful to the book, which I love.
