Actually, while I am loathe to say this because I despise them, the reason the KKK hates Westboro is because Fred Phelps was very active in the civil rights movement in the ’60s. He helped fight Jim Crow laws and often represented African Americans in segregation cases.
According to Wiki: In the 1980s, Phelps received awards from the Greater Kansas City Chapter of Blacks in Government and the Bonner Springs branch of the NAACP, for his work on behalf of black clients.

While Phelps’s hatred is incomprehensible to me, it’s made even more incomprehensible to me because he put such effort into openly supporting another group of people who ere historically labeled as less than human. They’ve actually been known to picket schools that are known for being LGBT friendly (i.e. having an active support group on campus and whatnot). Nothing like screaming hatred at children in front of their peers.

If you look at the list of names anonymous posted, it contains nearly all Phelps, or people related to Phelps’.
They have are basically a church with membership made up mostly family members Of Pastor Fred Phelps. They believe that good hates the gays and anyone who supports them. They will show up at anyones funeral. They insensitvely picketed the funeral of Matthew Shephard’s family and many more others (american soilders/the amish school children etc.) Countries like Britain were smart to band them. I did a paper on them in my Cult activities class and they have a website decicated to why God hates every single country in the world. it would be funny if it wasn’t so damn dangerous and sad. I remember, back in 2008, they threatened to picket the funeral of murder victim Tim McLean in Winnipeg, Canada. Border agents were instructed to stop them if they tried entering the country. They never showed up.
I get having religious differences, and standing by your beliefs. But when your beliefs involve picketing funerals, there is something wrong. I know if that was my child, and one of them tried to picket the funeral, I’d be being slapped in jail pretty quickly.

Last night all over ct there were candle light vigils and some guy called in a bomb threat to 2 churchs holding vigils. in Newtown.
Fire trucks and police cars are all set up to create a huge barrier so that people mourning don’t have to hear or see these… monsters.

At several of their “protests” people have joined together and formed human walls to shield the mourners – if you’re someone of spiritual beliefs, there’s no question who is doing God’s work there, and it ain’t the WBC. No doubt that will happen here, should the WBC be so gross as to attempt to show up.
Everyone should google Nathan Phelps and read up on him. He is the son of Fred Phelps, founder of WBC. He’s so inspirational and it’s astonishing that he made it out of that church alive, let alone with the outlook that he has. I try to focus on his good works, rather than the ranting of his lunatic father.

+10 – Prior to the wedding, she was always very healthy looking – athetic and trim. There’s no question that she’s lost a drastic, unhealthy amount of weight – BEFORE becoming ill — this recent illness just makes it seem worse. An ED is quite possible and explains a lot. Anyone who says she was ALWAYS this thin is blind.
Thanks for pointing that out. It’s one thing to be naturally extremely thin, but quite another to start out healthy, normal and slim and become emaciated and frail as in Kate’s case. I’d believe it back then when Monarchs participated and even died in battle for their people, but these days William is close to losing his license because he doesn’t fly, like ever. What does he do? People would still be interested in Britain and it’s history if the monarchy ended tomorrow. I could be off, but last I read Paris is the most popular international tourist destination, and when was their last king in power? The last time I went to Versailles I had to wait in several ridiculous lines. If Britons are so worried that their national identity depends so heavily on this one family, they have a huge national identity problem. If anything, the period immediately after the end of the British monarchy would be totally awesome if they open up all those rooms and buildings for tourist instead of charging people 40 pounds to walk through a lobby.

I always forget how tall Kate is. She always has to slouch down to meet people at eye level.
Shes only 5’8″ but she was wearing 6 inch heels so of course she looks tall. She was about two inches taller than David Beckham who is 6 ft so that puts her right at 5’8″ without the heels. Plus, I dont think she slouches to talk to them (Im 6ft without heels and I never slouch, even when talking to my friend who is 5’1″) I think she just has awful posture.

Yes, her hair looked nice. The bangs cut she got grew out a bit and suits well. She should feel brave and layer it more now.
The forest green gown fit her beautifully although I would’ve preferred a different colour. Red and burgundy tones suit her very well.

A normal, stable person does not just decide to end their life because of a prank that they didn’t even get reprimanded for. She made a bad decision, and then killed herself. I truly believe this woman was not stable to begin with. Her own family only found out about the prank after she died.

@ hh, Thanks for that! I work, have two children, 3 dogs and sometimes wonder how these women look so glamorous all the time. Then, I realize it is a combination of time (I have very little) and a lot of money. Interestingly, I still find the time to do charity work more than Duchess Dolittle! I’m pretty sure with the amount of time she spends on herself, I could look as put together and nice as she does as well!

The SPOTY may be a bit of a joke award, but it’s still an insult to see athletes at the very top of their respective fields be handed the awards by a woman whose only claim to fame is fking a prince. Princess Anne should have been the more appropriate royal for this event: she’s a sportswoman and was an Olympic athlete. Heck, even Charlene of Monaco is better-equipped for these kinds of events than Waity is.
