Over the past month, there’s been an assortment of rumors about LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian “pitching” various TV shows. Last month, Gossip Cop said they were pitching a reality show about their life together. Us Weekly claimed at some point that they were pitching the reality show thing with an added bonus: the show would document their efforts to get pregnant. There were also some rumors about some kind of scripted something, but most of the rumors have revolved around the “reality show” concept. Until now!
LeAnn Rimes wants to make sure she has the last laugh. The controversial crooner, 30, and her husband, Eddie Cibrian, 39, are hoping to star together in their own TV show.
The spouses of two years “have been shopping around a scripted comedy based on their lives together,” a source tells Us Weekly. “They would play versions of themselves, kind of like on Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
The series will even draw inspiration from their ongoing, real-life drama with Cibrian’s former spouse (and Rimes’ rival), Brandi Glanville, 40. Explains the insider, “The show will have a crazy ex-wife!”
Not appearing on camera? Cibrian and Glanville’s two sons, Mason, 9, and Jake, 6, who Cibrian famously forbade from taping episodes of their mom’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“Mason and Jake are not involved,” the source says. “If kids end up being on it, they would be played by actors — not Eddie’s children.”
After several pitch meetings with TV executives, the fictional series is inching closer to reality.
“They’ve met with a few networks,” adds a second insider. “Nothing is finalized yet, but they’re seeing where the show could go.”
Like Curb Your Enthusiasm? Crazy Your Enthusiam? Curb Your Sanity? Real Househusbands of Country Music? Look, it’s not the stupidest concept for a “sitcom” that I’ve ever heard, but it’s not a good concept either. If they’re just going to be “playing versions of themselves,” then they should just call it a reality show. I guess they can’t do that though, because then they won’t get to bitch about Brandi Glanville appearing on Real Housewives. You know why this will be a failure? It’s not that the concept is bad, it’s that Eddie and LeAnn are too stupid to make it work. This sort of “postmodern take on traditional situation comedy” needs self-awareness and the ability to know that their situation is inherently absurd. LeAnn just wants a platform to bitch and whine about Brandi and tend to her own martyr complex, you know? And that’s a crappy way to sell a “sitcom”.

What’s sad is you just KNOW there will be people watching it to see her being a trainwreck and to make fun of her. But it still counts as numbers. I know if it happened, I’d have to turn it on just to see how crappy it was.

This idea does not sound good at all. It will be a failure because they are not funny. What’ll actually might work is to have this Cibrian/Glanville/Rimes trio make a Spanish style soap opera instead based on their real life personas.

Yes they did and it was called All of Us. That show was based on their lives and it was positive. Basically it showed how the exes co-parent their son. Will and Jada are great examples on how co-parenting should be. LeAnn thinks she should have some badge being a SM. Funny because she is going on and on about Jake’s birthday party but Brandi’s BFF on Twitter let it be known that Brandi planned the entire event. LeAnn’s actually plans is to make it all about her and papping out the kids.

Perhaps it would be something along the lines of Reba McEntire’s shows. Reba plays “Reba”, but it’s not her real self it’s a fictional Reba. Haters gonna hate tho.
The difference is that most people know very few details about Reba’s personal life. You can easily Google her marital status, and I know her stepson is engaged to Kelly Clarkson, but she wasn’t a tabloid fixture and she wasn’t starting drama online or calling strangers to yell at them. This show is nothing but a weapon for taking shots at Brandi.

Agree. Reba kept her personal life relatively low key and avoided addressing rumors and engaging the exes (I recall old tabloid stories, but she didn’t respond). Not the same at all.
I would add that Reba had a similar situation, but she handled it much differently and thus kept her image in better shape. She had a divorce and married her employee, who had several kids. There were rumors, but she didn’t jump in and fan the flames.
This was years ago, for those who may not remember her in the 1980s.
Another difference: Reba is a sweetheart, or at least does a very good job of faking it.

Situational comedy–“Curb…”, “It’s always Sunny…”–needs a bit of “self-awareness”. You need to understand that you’re not playing yourself but a caricature of yourself. That would require some self-actualization, a bit of smarts and more importantly some self deprecating humor.
Like she’s got any of that. And plus you’re supposed to “like” the “main” characters. There’s a reason why Joffery isn’t the focus of “Game of Thrones” or the camera doesn’t follow around Gargamel in the “Smurfs” or Ferguson in “Clarissa Explains It All” only popped up once and a while. They’re “the villain”. LeAnn would have to rehab her whole image to *not* be the villain and by this point, that shit looks like Lindsey Lohan.

I think we’re all putting $$$ in LeAnn’s bank account right now by commenting on these types of blog postings about her. The more attention these posts get, the more money her pap pics will sell for.
I don’t have any issue with that (I find her very entertaining, both as a tabloid fixture and as a musician), but if you do, it’s probably better to stop paying her any attention, whether negative or positive.
Negative comments on sites like CB may get her paps to pay her zero to a few hundred bucks for a set of exclusive photos, however, a broadly view negative public opinion of her is and will continue to cost her million$ for as long as the populace despise her. TV shows are all about sponsors and advertising and she is NOT marketable. She may get a lot of press on the tabs sites but thats only b/c she pays them to put her on there. No real news station or tv show has any interest in her. All her appearances have been on stations where she has ppl that get her on there. They never seek her out, she has to contact them and beg to get on or split profits with the mags that put her pic on their site. I dont think anyone would willingly put her on their show let alone give her her own.

Even if the writing is clever (meaning, by someone else), I don’t think they have the self awareness, acting chops or smarts to pull it off. I would think this even if the premise has nothing at all to do with an ex-wife. Steve Martin did a great job with Bowfinger – funny, clever, subtle yet obvious what his digs were. These two would be ridiculed to no end.

I think this story is just a floater she’s hoping somebody will show some interest in. This show would fail faster than The Playboy Club. The fail would be so epic, even I’d be embarrassed. The pilot would get an audience for about 15 minutes then, click.
By the way, I saw a photo-shopped picture of LeAnn on the beach carrying a cardboard cut-out of Eddie. It was hillarious and could be the intro-scene for their sit-com with theme music, “It’s hard being Eddie Cibrian”.

Curb your Enthusiasm works because it’s a show written/made by very intelligent people. The only reason Leanne and Eddie Cibirian want this show is to give Eddie and her a job and also to sort of “clear their name” and salvage their reputations. They are both dumb, they are not funny and they are not smart. If this show gets made it will tank.
It also is a show that relies heavily on improve. Eddie and LeAnn would never be able to handle that type of show, they are both horrible actors. I don’t even like to call LeAnn an actor because she is not. She got those handful of parts because she is a famous singer. She has no talent as an actress and it shows. Eddie only gets parts because he’s handsome.
I was going to disagree with you about LR not being a good actress. She is terrible at scripted acting but she is pretty good acting like her marriage is sooooo happy. A comedy sitcom. Just like Lucy and Desi Arnez with I love Lucy. Why is every aspect of Leann and Eddie’s marriage based on what Leann sees in TV or Eddie did with Brandi and Scheana?
The staged photo-ops and twitpics aren’t enough for Leann anymore. Now Leann has to do a reality tv show, under the pretense that it’s a “sitcom”. The worst thing about this “sitcom” is that Leann has given so many interviews claming that she has taken the high road. How exactly is she protecting Brandi’s kids with this reality tv show that she is calilng a sitcom to save face? It’s sick that any media outlet would support this relaity tv show.

So, I’ve been thinking, what the hell Eddie sees in Leann. Yes, it’s the money, but I think there is more to that. I think there is an agreement between them. She knows he doesn’t love her, I’m sure he told her that when he was trying to convince Brandi to take him back, which would explain the SWFing. He probably tells her stuff like, “Brandi would do this and that. or “Brandi goes to such n such a place to get XYZ done.” She tried to get Brandi’s body which will never happen.
Him getting with Leann was supposed to make Brandi jealous and take him back, but it backfired and she kicked him out instead and he’s been trying to hurt Brandi ever since. Leann probably convinced him (he doesn’t seem too bright) that being with her will help his career, but it did the opposite. I think men like Eddie will screw anything, case in point, why he started screwing Leann while he was married. I think Eddie wanted to hook up with her also because she was this psuedo celebrity and former child star so he could say he did and brag to his friends. And according to the things Brandi overheard Leann saying to her husband, Leann pretty much served herself up on a platter for Eddie.
Eddie kept going back to Brandi, even after him and Leann were publically dating at concerts, golf etc so that tells me it was not a love at first sight situation with Leann. I think Leann won out with Eddie because she pulled out all the stops, lavashed him with gifts, trips, higher profile fame and dangled a lavish lifestyle in front of him if he agreed to be with her. Eventually Brandi just gave up and Eddie caved into all that being with Leann promised him unsaid or otherwise.
Why do they stay together now? She has gotten increasingly ugly, unpopular, and mean. I think he’s hanging around for the vacations, paid child support and he’s counting down the days til its worth his while to cut out. In my eyes, Leann SHOULD be paying this dude off. He destroyed a lot of things in return for being her man, and it’s pretty clear that there is an expectation that he be taken care of by her. He’s a weak man!
Since he was in some boy band long ago, I also wonder if there were thoughts or offers of launching a recording career. He probably saw dollar signs and bigger fame.

Well, it would have to be a scripted show based on their lives but livened up, because a reality show of these two would be mindnumbingly boring past the initial curiosity by people. They have no story. Eddie does what? LeAnn does what? They won’t be able to have the kids on (because of what they did with Brandi), so these two alone have nothing of interest to show weekly.

Why is this conversation even occuring on twitter? Couldn’t Leann have called any of those 3 women? Leann is very desperate to prove to everyone that the baseball mothers “love” her. There is no shame in Leann’s game. She exploits Brandi’s kids and she isn’t subtle about it. So what are the odds that FameFlynet/AKM-GSI/SplashNews shows up to Brandi’s son’s practice today? Why is it that those kids can’t enjoy their sporting events without Leann making it into a media circus? Eddie is so bent on punishing Brandi that he won’t even protect his children.
Leann is also tweeting about how she was “sick” and couldn’t travel. She is once again trying to set the stage for pregnancy rumors.

Why was this even necessary? Staged photo-op to show off her new tattoo and to exploit Brandi’s kids. Why is Leann so spiteful if she is so blessed and has a blissful life with Eddie? Why isn’t Eddie picking up his son’s baseball gear? Didn’t Leann tweet that he left Puerto Rico early to be with his kids? It seems like Eddie is only active in his kids’ lives when it involves papping them out so that Leann rewards him with gifts.
One of the 4 adults(Brandi, Eddie, Eddie’s parents) need to get Leann away from those kids ASAP. If she cared anything for those kids she would be protecting them instead of parading them before FameFlynet and SplashNews or encouraging her fans to disrespect the children’s mother. Why would anyone watch Leann’s reality tv show when they see her doing disgusting things like this? She is so insecure that she is tweeting about making Brandi’s kids hamburger helper. Sad.
Once it was mentioned that either Eddie or his mother comes to the vehicle when Brandi drops off the boys. That may provide hope that his mother at least occasionally takes care of those kids.
Anyone who has an assistant carrying bags, towels, etc., likely doesn’t do elaborate cooking without help. The meals “Eddie” showed on “his” Instagram could have been made by the kids, actually. I recall some kind of meal in a foil pan and a pizza that looked like a pizza mix kit with some herbs sprinkled on top.
I wish she’d quit the boys’ pap pics, bikinis, TV show pitches, etc., and we could have some real entertainment like the Instagram account.
I find it is interesting that she once again took a swipe @ Brandi. She mentioned a shower and Jake right after Brandi posted a picture she found of Eddie and Jake when the tike was a baby taking a shower.
Where or where have Lizzie and Eddie (either together or separately) gone? We haven’t seen Lizzie since LR’s crying scene. And we know EC was NOT with LR in PR! Should we call out the private investigators? Some people are missing!

Was this really necessary? Once again Leann puts her needs above those of the child. Leann is so spiteful that she was tweeting like crazy lastnight about every detail of Brandi’s son’s birthday party and I’m sure she is going to go crazy this morning too. If rehab cured Leann like she and The Dailymail claimed why is she turning Brandi’s son’s birthday party into another mega media blitz for the 3rd year in a row? Eddie is a lowlife for putting his child through this. The child can’t even have peace on his birthday. How can Tyler Perry or Morris Chestnut respect or befriend a man like Eddie who sells out his own kids for gifts, trips, women, and alcohol? How can he look at his kids knowing what he has done to their privacy?
Good News: As of today no staged photo-ops of Leann and Eddie/Leann’s band/Leann’s crew in Puerto Rico, at an airport, or even at the private concert she perforemd at have surfaced. Yay! Leann posted twitpics and a few of her mouthpieces wrote fluffpieces, but overall it wasn’t the mega media blitz that we all expected. Which is odd for Leann. Some people thought that maybe Leann didn’t pull a mega media blitz in Puerto Rico because Eddie probably wasn’t there.
Bad News: Brandi’s son is going to be exploited like crazy today. Leann is getting every media outlet and pap agency in on this. From minute by minute twitpics that she will post both to twitter and her fan website, candid shots of Leann posing with Brandi’s son from Leann’s pap friends(AKM-GSI, PCN, FameFlynet, BG, WENN, SplashNews,INF-Daily), to ridiculous fluffpieces from all of Leann’s mouthpieces. Will Leann give Celebuzz an exclusive interview about the cake she designed and bought for Brandi’s son like she did last year? That poor child. Will one of the 4 adults(Brandi, Eddie, Eddie’s parents) please step up and put Leann in her place? Why is this child being exploited like this?Is this what Leann learned while in “rehab”?
Crazy thing about this is that 2 of the mothers from Brandi’s son’s baseball team keep encouraging Leann to exploit Brandi’s kids. Rather than just call Leann they play it out on twitter. Leann wants everyone see that the mothers “love” her, hence why she has been very vocal in tweeting to her new twitter pal.
She posted on Twitter “Happy Sexy Saturday”—get ready for probably another see through trashy outfit to be worn to the party like last time.
Leann has serious issues. I have stated them before but got lambasted for stating what I think she has. Eddie refuses to say anything to her because he is a douche lord with no balls, plus she is his cash machine. I really doubt he cares that much about his kids. No REAL man in my book would allow a second wife to pimp his kids out to the media like this. There are some seriously psychotic people out there who get their kicks out of children’s pictures. Why would do adults allow these kids to have their pictures taken over and over–not caring at all what the consequences could be?
A police officer came to my children’s school to talk about putting their pictures on Facebook-internet-etc. You seriously would not believe some of the horrific things he told us. I won’t say what he told us specifically because no doubt I’ll get another lambast from someone who thinks I am the one who is one can short of a six-pack, when it is Leann who has the serious problems here. NOT ME.
I kind of think she WANTS something to happen to them, to rid herself of what connects him to Brandi. They’re not little babies anymore, like they were when she got together with Eddie. I bet they’re not as interesting or as photo worthy, and she is picturing the cover of people, a la Brad and Angie, with her and Eddie and their spawn. She is such a danger to those kids.
You’re right, and it would kill Brandi if anything happened to any one of those boys; Jake especially seeing that he is such a ham and loves having his picture taken (remember that infamous Batman pose?). He is too young to know better and Leann encourages it. To think Eddie does not do a blooming thing about all this makes me sick to my stomach. Parents all over the US go out of their way to protect their children at all costs and Eddie lets his human ATM machine pimp those boys out. It is morally reprehensible.

First of all, he is still 5 years old. His birthday isn’t until Monday. Leave it to Leann to try to reinvent the day his mother gave birth to him because she just can’t bring herself to accept the fact that those are Brandi and Eddie’s kids. They need to get Leann away from those boys. How can Eddie look his child in the eyes knowing that within hours the child’s face and name are going to be plastered all over the internet because of his attention seeking stepmother?
Secondly, who didn’t see this “compliment of my career/life” tweet coming? Leann is using the 5 year old and his birthday party to promote the release of her album, which was made obvious when she first gave April 30 then April 9 as the release date of the album. Interesting how Leann is insisting that he is 6 today because she wants to claim 4/15 as her “special day”-the “birth” of her album.
When Leann was in Miami last week, no photos of Brandi’s son at his baseball game surfaced. Leann attends his baseball game today and viola Pacific Coast News(yes the same pap agency that was at the airport with Leann in NO and on the beach with Leann when she wore the white bikini) gets “candid” photos of them from within the game just like FameFlynet was able to do on the 4th. Leann made sure that PCN got photos of her and Eddie in the bleachers laughing and having a good time with the mothers to show just how much they are “loved” by the parents. Eddie is a low life. Why does he do this to his kids? It’s obvious it was Leann who called the paps today because the pap agency is the same one who was travling with her just last week.
Leann gave the first exclusive photos from today’s baseball game to Babble, apparently Leann thought that they would do a great job at spinning her “Leann and Brandi are at peace” agenda. Funny how these “Leann is at peace with Brandi” stories come just days before Leann is set to relesae her album.
Because Leann couldn’t possibly be anymore transparent, as she looks directly at Pacific Coast News, she grabs onto Eddie’s hand so they they can get a good shot of them holding hands as they “watch” the baseball game. Leann has stepped up her game. Instead of parking lot photo-ops she has graduated to allowing FameFlynet, AKM-GSI, and PCN full access to the game.
This trick is so f’d up, it’s insane. The tweets are so passive aggressive I just can’t anymore… Seeing her hands all over jakes neck at the baseball game makes my blood boil.
This trick needs to find a new game. If I was Brandi, there is no way I would allow this trick to use my children as part of her pap famewhoring game. I don’t understand why Brandi and that douche Eddie just sit back and allow Leann to have those kids photos posted all over the internet. At this point, Leann has to be the biggest joke in lala land. I would have one of those cease and desist letters Leann loves to send out sent directly to her ASAP. Eddie allows Leann to delude herself into believing they are a happy family and she has been a gift to his children. While she is caught up playing this game he can do whatever he wants. I guess it works well for him. But, why Brandi allows her to pap her kids is beyond me.

And so the mega media blitz begins. Leann kicked it off yesterday by inviting Pacific Coast News to Brandi’s son’s baseball game. Then Leann wakes up early Sunday morning just to post twitpics of Brandi’s son to twitter. Here come the ridiculous fluffpieces from The Dailymail and People mag.
Couldn’t Leann have said thank you to the cake maker by calling her? Why did Leann have to tweet a photo of Brandi’s son and complain about how the cake ruined her jeans on a public forum? Because once again Leann is being spiteful. Someone needs to get those boys away from Leann, today she confirms that she has no interest in ever protecting them. They are just weapons to use against Brandi and tools to promote her album release. If she didn’t care that the cake messed up her jeans why bother tweeting about how the cake ruined her jeans? Eddie must not be home, when the party was over he went to see his mistress.
Leann is also telling her fans that Brandi wasn’t at the birthday party and sending them to twitter to spread it. Brandi and Eddie must have been having a good time together at the party because now Leann is trying to pretend that Brandi wasn’t even there. Leann also had The Dailymail write a fluffpiece about the baseball game that was heavily biased towards Leann and Eddie. In other words she had The Dailymail write about how Brandi was all alone at the game while she and Eddie had each other. Why does Leann feel so threatened by Brandi’s presence if Eddie doesn’t have any feelings for Brandi?
The worst part is that Leann is still tweeting that Brandi’s son is 6. In her mind she moved his birthday to 4/13 so that she can have his acutal birthday all for herself and album release. Can’t Eddie see how sick Leann is. Everything is a competition to Leann, including his children’s birthdays.
I wouldn’t be a bit surprised that Leann found out at that she made Star Magazine’s top 20 most hated celebrities list. (She and Eddie are #12). Of course she is trying to prove that she is a wonderful person and how could anyone write something so horrible about her. Brandi posted a picture of her book with New York Time’s Best Seller plastered on the cover. This most certainly is sending Leann into a tailspin because she simply cannot compete with that. Leann hasn’t had a best selling anything in …how many years? I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if it was eating her alive.
Leann did set up a staged photo-op at the airport on Friday. She had one of her mouthpieces include the airport staged photo-ops with the photos of her, Eddie, and their entourage at Brandi’s son’s baseball on Saturday. There is no doubt about it, Leann invited aKM-GSI and Pacific Coat to the baseball game on Saturday.
I hope that her mouthpieces are going to post delayed photos of her in Puerto Rico like they did for the lake staged photo-op with FameFlynet.
