Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian leaving court on Friday – I know I could make fun of this outfit, but I actually don’t think it’s the worst thing ever. Her hair sucks (I hate when she slicks her hair back, always), but the outfit is meh – neither incredibly flattering nor unflattering. Kim was in court because the judge ordered she and Kris Humphries to a “mandatory settlement conference” before their divorce case goes to trial. I’m assuming this was the last-ditch effort by all legal parties to settle this thing without having to go to trial. We have photos of Kim because she showed up, on time and per the judge’s instructions. Kris Humphries did NOT.
TMZ says that all parties knew what the other side wanted before they were even supposed to meet. Kris is still asking for Kim to pay him $7 million. Kim says NO WAY and she’s demanding Kris pay all of her legal bills because this has taken so long. So… it’s pretty obvious that they weren’t going to work something out, so why even come to court, right? Well, the judge still ordered it and the judge was pretty pissed that Kris didn’t come. TMZ had an insidery story about what was happening Thursday night, and apparently Kris was at a New York hotel and he was “extremely upset”. But Radar says Kris “didn’t attend the proceeding because the Brooklyn Nets [were] playing the Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis.” Eh?
If it’s true that 80 percent of success is just showing up, Kim Kardashian is already one victory ahead of Kris Humphries in their ongoing divorce battle. The reality star and her estranged basketball-playing husband were supposed to face off in court on Friday, April 12, at a mandatory settlement conference in L.A. — but sources tell Us Weekly that Humphries, 28, was a no-show.
UPDATE: According to one insider, the judge at the settlement hearing was “furious” that the Brooklyn Nets athlete didn’t show and said it was like he was “mocking” the court system. “Kim showed up pregnant!” the source tells Us. “He’s just wasting everyone’s time at this point…The judge is furious. So disrespectful.”
Fortunately for Humphries, there will be a different judge presiding over the official trial next month. Since no settlement was reached on Friday, the estranged couple will go to court on May 6; a source says the process is expected to take around five days.
Kardashian, for her part, was present and accounted for, though a source tells Us she seemed nervous and fidgeted with her hands a little. Photographed leaving the courthouse, the six-months-pregnant star kept her look appropriately understated, wearing a long, light-colored blouse and white dress pants.
Friday’s settlement hearing was supposed to bring the former lovebirds together so they could try to hash out a resolution before their scheduled May 6 trial date. Kardashian filed for divorce from Humphries in October 2011 after just 72 days of marriage; he countered with annulment based on fraud.
Earlier this week, Kardashian and her legal team filed their witness list for the upcoming trial. According to court records (via E! News), her mom, Kris Jenner, is among those expected to testify, along with lawyers, managers, and even Humphries himself. The NBA player has not yet filed his list.
Hot mess. Yeah, Kim won this battle, whatever it was. It seems like Kris is using the “basketball” excuse for a lot of stuff recently. Didn’t he also miss Kim’s deposition after he made such a big deal about coming “face to face” with her and blah blah blah? Sounds like Ol’ Basketball Humphries is the one who is nervous. Sounds like Kim has all of her legal ducks in a row. BTW: Kim’s divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser, has represented some really big celebrity ladies. Wasser was Angelina Jolie’s divorce lawyer! She’s good, is what I’m saying.

TMZ is 100 times more credible than RadarOnline/aka Star Magazine will ever be. If TMZ gets a story wrong, they will retract it. RadarOnline aka Star Magazine is a print/online tabloid they frequently recycle stories and prints false stories.
TMZ is clearly skewing posts to showcase the Kardashians in a positive manner.
They are paid to do so, and that makes them non-credible as an objective news source.
I’ve seen TMZ change an article in the middle of the day to reflect Blohan in a better light. You are naive if you think TMZ is legit.
They don’t fully retract. If I recall well during the Aubrey-Olivier fight, they kept saying Aubrey did this, did that… until they saw Aubrey’s photo and had to be a bit cynical to call out on “Olivier’s self defense cr*p” because it was blatantly obvious who was defending and who was attacking… And even after that, they still made fun of Aubrey and kept saying he instigated, even though their so called “reliable sources” didn’t have any video/photo/legit witness to support that claim.
Agree, she does look great in that dress! She should dress like that more often!

Kris was not required to be at her deposition. My guess is that he expressed interest in attending so that he could watch her answer his attorney’s questions about the fraud and scripted tv show. She lied anyway, so he didn’t miss anything.
As for the length of this divorce case: It is MANDATORY for Kim to be deposed in order for the case to move forward and she has only recently submitted to doing so.

This was a “mandatory settlement conference”. The judge ordered Kris and Kim to both attend. I’m not a Kardashian fan but if a judge orders you to do something, you do it.
Look at my comment below. If Kris sent his lawyer with proper instructions, then Kris didn’t have to attend. His attendance wouldn’t be “mandatory” if he sent his lawyer there.

I have never read a website more pro-Kim ans anti-Kris than TMZ. Considering it was supposedly a confidential hearing, who knows what happened? Kimmy Piss Princess was allowed to be excused from court for work meetings for her perfume things, but Kris cannot be excused for his basketball work? TMZ is always biased against Kris. They will even change their stories mid-day to make Kris look worse. Enough already, TMZ!

You can really tell the only time KK is happy is when the camera is pointed her way. I’m a family lawyer and if Kris sent his lawyer with proper instructions on what his legal position was for any settlement, then that would be fine. It’s not a big deal that Kris wasn’t there. If Kim had made Kris a deal that he liked, Kris’ lawyer could have accepted it on his behalf. And both parties would have known that nothing would get “settled” at the settlement conference because their positions were so far apart. What TMZ bulls**t. Really, Harvey??

TMZ is definitely a Kardashian mouthpiece. When everyone else was running the story about how Lamar and Khloe’s cancer charity gave no money to cancer, TMZ posted some crap about how Lamar once helped a young basketball player out financially. They might as well have credited the story to Pimp Mama Kris, it was that obvious.
The TMZ story made no sense to me. Why would a judge be screaming about it as reported? It made the guy sound demented. Obviously Kris had a game in Indy the same day. He has no history of blowing off court requirements, while Kimmie does. It sounded like a lie spun out of whole cloth. Other media reported that his presence was not mandatory as long as his representative was there. There was no reason for the judge to go ballistic and say that Kris H’s absence was mocking and disrespecting the court as TMZ claimed. The whole fantastic tale was obviously straight from the lying mouth of Kim or her mother. The K’s still think they can avoid a trial by biasing readers of tabloids…

Total TMZ b.s. story! Both parties dont have to appear in person for a settlement hearing nor would nay judge demand they have to. They can send their lawyers. No judge makes it mandatory for both parties to appear in person. This isnt the trial -that will be mandatory, this was not.
