Robert Pattinson ‘swarmed’ by paparazzi in NY following Kristen’s latest ‘scandal’

Here are some new photos of Robert Pattinson in New York City yesterday. Apparently, he was “swarmed” by photographers as soon as he walked out of his hotel. I would imagine that he gets swarmed whenever he’s in New York, but maybe it was a little bit extra yesterday given that story (which has sort-of been disproven, maybe) about Kristen Stewart maybe meeting up with Rupert Sanders at her favorite Mexican restaurant. Worst case scenario: Rob’s girlfriend is still boning some dude on the side. Best case scenario: Kristen’s favorite Mexican restaurant has a valet who looks just like Rupert Sanders and Kristen drives the same car (a black Acura) as Rupert. Which is worse?!

It looks like Rob is carrying his duffel bag, which is what he was carrying at LAX on Sunday. Did he only stay in New York for a few days? Did he rush home to LA to see Kristen and confront her about her trampire tryst with a valet?! Where is the Twihard Proof?!!?!!?

Here’s something interesting – despite the fact that Nicolas Ghesquiere was fired from Balenciaga two seconds after he hired Kristen to represent Balenciaga’s perfume (what a failure that was), Kristen is still allowed to attend the Met Gala this year. Kristen has confirmed for the biggest fashion event of the year (it’s in less than two weeks!). So, will Rob be her date? Have they ever walked a non-Twilight red carpet together? Will they start at the Met Gala? That would be awesome. I’m not even joking. I would love to see that.

(Sidenote: He has millions of dollars – why not invest in a nice piece of luggage? It doesn’t have to be Louis Vuitton or anything, but he travels like a college student.)

Her cheating will haunt their “relationship” for ages. We’ll see how long he can take it.

    • Liv says:

Yep, this will affect their relationship. It’s like playing what if, just with real paparazzi and media frenzy!

      • Naye in VA says:

yea its hard enough to deal with cheating in a private relationship, when a partner is looking for anything to prove/disprove your faithfulness, but when the public is shoving every little “wonder what that looks like” in your partners face, its really hard to keep it together. I can imagine they argue ALL the time about pap reports.

    • Hannah says:

Until she decides to dump him, sadly.

    • Lucy says:

Agreed, everytime she is out with another man there will be stories about it, he should cut his loses and move on.

    • Jan says:

Good Lord, can this poor guy not get a break? Can’t the paps get off on someone else for a change. Rob is a nice guy and doesn’t deserve to be harassed by the paps because of Kristen. Rob is not into material things and doesn’t have to have the designer things. I love that about him. He doesn’t have to keep up with the Joneses. Rob, you look good in these pictures.

    • Hmmm..... says:

I’m not trying to start anything, but I read a gossip site implying that Rob has been “chumped,” and even though it wasn’t Rupert in the pictures, Kristen needs to “stay off the LA night scene for awhile.” Am I crazy in thinking that even though she isn’t screwing around with Rupert anymore she is once again being unfaithful? The two hints were in separate stories but I can’t think of anything else this would mean.

  2. mkyarwood says:

How can anyone believe these two are/were together?

    • TinyPixie says:

I have no idea! Never believed it for a moment.

    • popcorn11 says:

Whats the prevailing conspiracy theory and how does it explain why they are still together? I’m all for tinhatting but it just seems very probable that they are in lurve and determined to work through their issues. They arent the first to push past cheating dramz you know. Im open to a credible theory though……

      • decorative item says:

Perhaps I’m just jaded, but I believe that this “relationship” is nothing more than a marketing tool used to promote the franchise that is Twilight. It’s not difficult for me to believe that money is the motivator behind it all, considering they are selling a product. Although, I do concede that they may well have been in a real relationship at the beginning, but when the P.R. people saw the positive public response it then became part of the contract negotiations. I may be wrong, but because neither one of us has proof, I chose to air on the side of pessimism.

      • TinyPixie says:

Why did Katie Holmes stay in a fake marriage to Tom Cruise for 7 years? Why is John Travolta still married to a woman? Why are Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen still together? Bearding relationships can last years.

      • popcorn11 says:

So the theory is that they are both gay? Whos bearding who? Wouldnt the scandal have been perfect break from the charade? They can both claim to be too traumatised to date for awhile. Then either claim to be very prjhvate because of the scandal or get new beards or even drift back together. What would be the point for RP in staying in a relaysh that allienates half of his fading fanbase when his box office pull is already pathetic. Rubics cube of gossip.

      • dahila says:

decorative–you’re interpretion is not more jaded by any means. Both sides are naive to a large degree on how things work, whether it’s people romanticizing their relationship as one true love, or thinking a contract that is so intrusive into their personal lives would ever be practical given how much you’d have to pay two stars to play house for years. People just like playing choose your own adventure when it comes to these two.

  3. Deb says:

Look at the douchebag running back to LA to clean up another mess that kspew made. This guy is beyond pathetic. I’m sure he & ho white would look fabulous on the Met Gala red carpet in their dirty jeans and hoodies. Anna Wintour would have a heart attack.

  4. LadyMTL says:

Hah, I love the expression on the guy in the red coat (in the first pic)…he’s like “if I close my eyes he’s not really there.”

TBH I’d like to see the two of them at the Met gala – can you imagine all the awkward lip-biting? – but I don’t see it happening. Like you said, Kaiser, they’ve never walked a red carpet together other than for Twilight, and I doubt they’d start with an event where there’s even more scrutiny than usual.

  5. Louise says:

I was actually rather admiring his duffel bag – I’d be happy to have one.

    • bangbang says:

Yes! It’s a little scruffy now, but I think its probably really expensive unfortunately.

Looks like leather finishings and look at the detailing on it. All those tiny little leather pieces to keep the straps in place etc etc.

My bf travels with a backpack that has one zipper that won’t close. I’d trade for the duffle bag any day.

    • MisJes says:

I was about to say the same! I think it’s rather a nice bag, it looks well-made. From experience in trying to set my boyfriend up with nice luggage, some men just prefer a low-key duffle, proper luggage is “too much to bother with”. They’re strong enough to carry their own bag and generally travel lighter than we might anyhow.

    • Jacqueline says:

It is actually a great piece of luggage, it’s Filson. The large duffle is $325, so it isn’t Vuitton but their brand has become kind of cliché and I roll my eyes whenever I see a guy carrying Vuitton luggage.

      • MisJes says:

I’m going to check Filson out right now for my boyfriend. Thanks for ID’ing it!

      • dunzo says:

Thanks! I didn’t know this brand. I just checked out their website and they have some nice casual (but not sloppy) luggage.

  6. Lisa says:

They aren’t a couple, maybe they never were it.

  7. heyu says:

The whole situation makes him look like a wimp..

We all laugh at women when they take make a cheating dude.. It makes them look somewhat weak

In d case of when children are involved, I kinda understand the need to want to forgive and keep the family together.

But he and kristen hv no kids.. He would have walked away and made a new fresh start.

Rather he look her back, after the whole horrible public shambles.

It makes him look beyond weak, simple, un attractive

Yuck yuck!!! Doest it bother him how majority of ppl now pity him or refer to him as #poor guy??

    • TG says:

100% agree. It doesn’t matter whether it is a man or woman if you take back a lying cheating scumbag you look like a fool and we are going to make fun of you. Which is why many of these high profile wivees (usually, the wife anyway) leave their spouse/partner when he gets busted for cheating by the press. It isn’t because he cheated. They already know they married a douchebag. Do you really think Liberty or Tiger Wood’s wife didn’t know what their men were up to? No, they leave because they have been publically humilitated which makes Rob look even worse. What a loser.

      • hayden says:

Absolutely, 100% agree. He is a disgrace – they both are, in fact. No one with a modicum of self-respect will take back a person who ripped apart their trust, their emotional and inner peace, even if they did so in a dark hotel room, let alone in broad daylight.
BTW I often hear that they have an “open relationship”; if so, then why the h*ll did she feel the need to publicly apologize? If that was done solely for PR purposes, then she is even bigger filth and Pattinson is an even bigger loser to take her back.

    • popcorn11 says:

Now lets not pretend that gender politics havent played heavily here lol (see Hilary Clinton et al)

    • renata says:

The one single word that comes to mind when I see a photo of this guy is “mediocre”. A few years back he looked good, really good — the degree to which a bad relationship can detract from one’s inner glow is simply remarkable.

      • TG says:

So true. Look at all the women who have lost their mojo after dating Jusin Timberdouche. Cameron Diaz has never gotten that certain confidence/glow back after him and neither has his current wife/doormat.

      • renata says:

@TG — “mojo” is the perfect word for it. He’s been left as the anti-mojo (lol). It’s as if she publicly said to him, ‘Rob, I care for you soooooo much, but his is SO MUCH BIGGER THAN YOURS!!!!’

I wish I could feel for him, but he’s kinda entered the one-way, no exit, repulsive zone, where there’s a super-sized photo of Stewart on Door #1, Door #2, and Door #3 🙂

  8. DanaG says:

Once a cheat always a cheat. If he is running back because his worried this “relationship” will be over sooner rather then later. I wouldn’t put anything past little miss Pouty. Would love for her to show up at the Met Gala in some pathetic running shoes she thinks is so cool her mere presence makes an event. Neither have anything to promote so it will be inteteresting to see if they walk the red carpet together. As for the bag men have their favs and they keep them forever my hubby has a suitcase he has had forever and he will not upgrade it for anyone.

  9. Faye says:

“So, will Rob be her date? Have they ever walked a non-Twilight red carpet together? Will they start at the Met Gala?”

And the most important question . . .will she wash her hair?

    • Liv says:

      And: where’s Bear? 😉

      • Faye says:

Heh. You know what I just thought of? Liberty Ross is an ex-model, right? I know it won’t happen, but wouldn’t it be amazing if she was at the Met Ball too? The epic awkwardness of it, plus the K-Stew stans frothing at the mouth about Liberty stalking Kristen. It would be a thing of gossip beauty.

    • Silk Spectre says:

But Faye, everyone already knows the answer to that question: of course she wont’t. Clean hair is for fakes, posers and sellouts.

  10. Luisa says:

It only took one person to say that the valet driver looked like Rupert and every gossip blog went with it. Even though the pictures clearly shows Kristen getting in an Audi with one of her friends. To me this false story was unbelievably cruel and it shows how stupid and vile the gossip blogs can be.. It takes a strong person not a wimp to stay in a relationship.

    • Just Me says:

Is that what you tell domestic violence victims?

      How completely irresponsible.

      • kristine says:

Because being cheated on and being beaten are totally the same thing. Eyeroll.

      • Luisa says:

Excuse me but he is a grown man not a domestic abuse victim. She apologized for something that happened nearly a year ago. Let it go people we should commend them for trying to move on. Why do people want to destroy a relationship that is not even theirs.

      • Just Me says:

That was not the statement, now was it? The statement was:

“It takes a strong person not a wimp to stay in a relationship.”

I stand by my previous assertation. That is a completely & totally irresponsible statement.

And for the record, I don’t think anyone here is actively trying to “destroy” anything. You Twihards need to get over yourselves.

      • Luisa says:

How is my statement completely irresponsible? Relationships take work so if someone is willing to forgive and move on. In my opinion that takes a lot strength and commitment. I am not a Twi-hard. I am just a person who is tired of all the viciousness aimed toward these two.

      • Just Me says:

Seriously??? Perhaps you should read up on the cycles of domestic violence/ domestic abuse (which is not always violent). How statements like “It takes a strong person not a wimp to stay in a relationship” come into play. Then, perhaps, you should consider how many young, impressionable people are fans of these two & read every comment & gossip column that comes up on these two. Not considering how Twilight, itself, has been derided for it’s own place in perpetuating feminine oppression. Then perhaps you’d see why your blanket statement, which has been the battle cry for Twihards world over, I might add, is a completely & totally irresponsible statement to make.

Can these two work it out? Assuming you believe they were ever in a relationship, or that they have a monogamous relationship in the first place – sure, why not? I don’t know their relationship – and neither do you.

However, as for it taking a stronger person to stay in “a” relationship (no qualifiers here to denote why they’re staying – as per your quote), that, my friend, is textbook co-dependency & perpetuating an unhealthy message to thousands, if not millions, of young impressionable fans.

      • decorative item says:

Oh, for goodness sake! Obviously, that’s NOT what’s being said here.

      • Kate says:

JustMe the context here is plainly these two, given the whole post is about these two, so bringing domestic violence in is just blatant straw man argument. I don’t even agree with the poster that it takes strength to stay after cheating (personally I think it’s too complicated for any outsider to judge, but low self-esteem is not an uncommon factor) but you’ve not argued the points that poster actually made. You’ve created your own to argue against instead.

      • hollygo says:

wow, great job on going from point A and skipping over to point Z with a guy who forgave cheating and a scenario where someone’s abused. Domestic violence advocates the world over are thanking you for that service you just provided of conflating two different situations and equating them for no reason.

      • Just Me says:

Oh good grief. The Twihard battle cry has been exactly this since these two got back together: “it takes a stronger person to stay in a relationship.” That is ENTIRELY an unhealthy message to perpetuate to young, impressionable fans. You think ROB has to be strong person to stay in his relationship despite the bashing he’s getting? Fine. More power to you. That’s completely different from an entire fandom towing the party line of it taking a stronger person to stay in an unhealthy relationship – which is an irresponsible, blanket statement. I’m not changing my stance. It’s the exact same here as it is on any other thread I post on on Celebitchy, if you bothered to read anything other than the Twi threads.

Personally, I don’t know how any woman, particularly a mother of young girls, DOESN’T have a problem with it, REGARDLESS of your stance on these two. If you don’t get that, if you don’t see that – I don’t know what else to say to you.

    • Bugsrunny says:

Totally agree, Luisa. But it’s not just mean-spirited, it’s unbelievably selfish. The sites that promoted this story aren’t interested in the truth, they just want hits, and any fallout from their false stories would generate more hits. The lies are self-serving and self-perpetuating.

      • Luisa says:

        I agree.

      • pop! says:

        Lmao
        That’s what gossip is!
It isn’t always true, it isn’t always pretty, and it’s almost never nice. Don’t take it so personally, it’s the nature of all gossip sites. If you read more than robstien articles, you have to know that.

    • Chell says:

      @Luisa
I agree with everything that you have said!
And I understand what you mean about it taking a strong person to stay in a relationship…it takes work to make a relationship work and if you are not a strong person, it is just easier to walk away. Anyone who takes this out of context & compares this to an abusive relationship is being completely irresponsible & antagonistic.

    • Marigold says:

Unbelievably cruel? Oh, please. Don’t be so dramatic.

      • pop! says:

I know, right? It’s crazy how invested some people are about this particular relationship and how desperate their defenders seem to be. it’s grasping at straws and illogical.

  11. gg says:

Why doesn’t he carry LV luggage – he’s probably not a pretentious little fart like Lohan, Bieber, the Karkrashes, and everybody else with the designer brands illness bs. Because the lowest class people are the ones flaunting their birkins and wearing two watches that each cost the same as a car.

Save the money and buy something real you get your money’s worth for. Like a house and future security – or better yet, help someone in need if you’re rolling in it..

    • SydneySpy says:

And the Gold Star goes to gg…….. Couldn’t agree more, and I’m glad I’m not alone in thinking this way.

    • MonicaQ says:

Exactly what I thought. Luggage is situational.

      • Isa says:

I so agree gg! Someone was bragging to me how much something stupid cost and I asked them, “okay, but do you have a retirement fund?” They didn’t. People like that bring brand name reputation down. His bag may look a little beat up but someone posted above that you can tell its well made.

    • Barhey says:

I totally agree. And not to be sexist about it but there is something weirdly metro about a guy with feminine designer luggage. I’m picturing the Jersey Shore guys with orange spray tans, tons of jewelry, gel in their hair and super tight clothes.

A nice but causal piece of luggage is totally fine in my book.

    • Sid says:

Lol oh he’s pretentious alright, in his own way,, with his hundreds of dollars beat up jackets and tshirts and his $500 dollars OPs.

  12. marie says:

ha, this reminds me of that Seinfeld episode when Uncle Leo stole books “Swarm, Swarm”

I don’t dig the jacket, my brother had a similar one years ago and it stunk really bad. (that is a knock on my no-bathe brother, not Rob)

  13. TinyPixie says:

I guess she has to attend the Met Gala to give the illusion of relevancy. She’s always looked awkward and out of place at those things. Now it’s just more pronounced. All of these actresses with great projects lined up and KStew and….nothing.

  14. Maria says:

the theme is of this years met ball is punk. this could come in handy.

    • SydneySpy says:

And what an utter insult to Punk.

      • Leen says:

Not really. The theme is punk and they want to hint Vivienne Westwood at the gala. Makes sense because Vivienne Westwood did start out designing clothes and outfits for punk bands such as the sex pistols (her husband was their manager), the clash and whatnot. It’s how she get her start with her SEX boutique. She was a key person in the punk movement.

Which is why this gala doesn’t offend me and makes perfect sense.

  15. Leah says:

I really don’t know. I havent read the books or seen the movies. (I’m in my late 20s so I read Anne Rice and watched Buffy!)but I am so interested. And what made me interested was when this girl who would never confirm he relationship released such a public apology and then reverted to “keep em guessing” I am so intrigued by her method of publicity.

I think couples can and do get over cheating and go on to have long lasting and wonderful relationships. However, I’m not sure this is going to be possible when you have a swarm of paps shouting:

“Hey has Kristen seen Rupert lately?” “How did it feel when your girl f’ed her director?” etc etc.

I just don’t see how you could move on from it. It’s a lot different to a few family members or neighbours knowing about it. It must feel humiliating.

    • Get a clue says:

      “It must feel humiliating”

Yes, but he is choosing to stay in it. I mean, what does he expect the paps to do? She cheated on him in a park, in her car, it was photographed for the world to see. He acts like it never happened or that it’s the fault of the paps that she did it. He is getting what he signed up for. It’s his choice.

      • Jade says:

+1 to all you wrote. And that’s why I’m not a fan of his anymore. He chooses to stay. He gets what he gets.

      • Mia 4S says:

I saw someone on another site dub Sparkles “Betty Draper” and now I can’t stop thinking it! Mean, but funny.

      • Elly says:

“He acts like it never happened…”

Rubbish! Only because he shows nothing in public? In front of the paps? Would you do it??? What do you expect from him? Crying in every talk show?

No one knows what goes on behind closed doors. It´s not our business. When these two hipsters are happy with each other, when they want to have a relationship then let them.

      • Get a clue says:

        @Elly
I would expect him to not be annoyed by them asking him legitimate questions, like “do you think she wil cheat on you again”. I’m sorry, but his GF is the one who stepped out in their relationship. The paps were just doing what they get paid for. And I don’t want to start a debate about paps being invasive. Yes, they are but you have to already know that as a celeb. So them following her and getting pictures of her cheating, what else would you or he expect them to do? He is giving all of his wrath to the paps and in my opinion, he is misdirecting, regarding her behavior.

  16. Luisa says:

The people who fabricated this false rumor achieved what they set to do and that is to humiliate Rob, shame Kristin and to create doubt in the public’s eye about their relationship.

    • Lou says:

I think you give way too much importance to a few of the lunatic fringe. Fact is, the tabs picked it up, because they saw a story there. Whether it’s true or not is immaterial.

      • Bugsrunny says:

Really? Whether it’s true or not is immaterial? A lie isn’t a media story. It’s a lie. And I don’t think you’d think the truth is immaterial if lies were being spread about you.

      • Lou says:

You misunderstand what I said. To the tabs it doesn’t matter if there is any truth to the story. Do you honestly think the rags care about accuracy?

    • Pastyousayyouneverknew says:

I agree that whichever party fabricated the rumour have gotten what they wanted but doubts about that their relationship? That was Kristen’s doing – prior to July last year, such doubts never existed. That’s just the sad part of all this – Robs forgiving her doesn’t mean much to people, reputation is so important and Kristen has tainted hers. I remember first reading about her and Rupert last year and not being able to believe it, I was a fan up until that point and I’d had to defend my liking Kristen to my friends many times but after the cheating, I couldn’t defend her anymore.

      • Lily says:

Well said. From then on, any man she goes near, people will assume, whether she is still in a relationship or not.

    • mia girl says:

Sucks for Pattinson and I really want to feel sorry for Stewart in this case, but… I just can’t because she has really done nothing to ask for the publics’ empathy or pity.

She’s public person, whose career is dependent upon the public, who made a private mistake with a married man in a very public way. And which publically resulted in the end of a marriage.

If Stewart and her people want the public not latch on to stories like this, you need to show some semblance of public contrition. Like it or not, fair or not, the public expects and wants it from celebrities and politicians who make public mistakes. But IMO aside from some weird apology, Stewart has not displayed one bit of public behavior that leads most to believe she has learned and grown.

Instead, all we’ve seen over and over is a tone-deaf response from Stewart and her people. After her apology and forgiveness of her boyfriend, she reverts back to the childish game of “keep um guessing” about her relationship. She defiantly appears on red carpets in sexually charged/sheer dresses. Her disrespectful turn at the Oscars. Using Gossip Cop as her not so covert PR mouth piece. The bumbling and now lack of any upcoming projects (aside from Part 2 of the one that got her into trouble). Spending all her time looking like a dirty high schooler at a kegger.

She and her team seem pretty immature and not very good at what they do. None of their approach says Stewart is a professional who is maturing and growing.

The spreading of this story proves that publically, Stewart needs to suck it up and do some true publicity work that resonates beyond her shrinking fan base. Holding back from shooting a bird to the paps or holding hands with your boyfriend while surrounded by 6 of your closest girlfriends aren’t cutting it. She needs new representation and a new attitude.

    • nina says:

Yeah, seriously, his “fans” who perpetrated this whole shitfest should be proud of themselves. There’s just something really mean spirited about this whole nonstory that simply gained legs cause people like to point back to him being cuckolded.

  17. another nina says:

It’s a very expensive bag, and there was some story associated with it – I think he mentioned it in one of his interviews but I can’t recall it now…
So, is he shlepping back to LA? I was hoping it’s either Cannes or “Mission BL” related? Did he attend Tom Sturridge’s play at Broadway?…
I think he is traveling with bodyguard, which means he is on business-trip.

    • Jenn says:

      I like the bag.

What a crap way to live. To need a body guard just to be in public.

    • Another Ann says:

Yeah, he’s already been papped upon landing in LA, so short trip. Seems like a lot of luggage for such a brief visit.

Couldn’t have seen the play, because the theater is dark on Monday. Certainly not a photo shoot of any sort, the scruff wasn’t cleaned up. Guess it must have been a business meeting of some sort.

  18. Annie says:

It’s like when Elizabeth Hurley was confronted about Hugh Grant every time they were out together “How could you forgive him?!” That’s just cruel. And lately I feel like the anger is building up inside of Rob when it comes to paparazzi. He must really hate them for exposing Kristen like that eventhough they did him a favor. I would not be surprised if he punched a pap one of these days. I hope not.

But seriously, proof of someone’s infidelity is a gift. Take it. You’re both young. Don’t try to act all noble and stuff by taking her back because it’s not going to be the same. This girl was waiting for you to leave to get it on with someone else, or running behind your back to see him and then come back like nothing happened and share your bed. He probably had been denied too ’cause all she wanted was the Rupdick!

And now he’s paying for that decision by being bullied by the papz, who throw it at his face. Yikes. If this continues, they won’t last.

    • Lily says:

He has no balls to walk away from an unhealthy relatinship, but sure, he’ll hit a paparazzo. He has no backbone, so no, sorry, never gonna happen.

      • Pastyousayyouneverknew says:

@Lily +1 He is not walking away from her anytime soon, whether it is due to wimpiness or courage, take your pick, but he’s not going to do that.

      • Annie says:

Because taking back a cheater who he sees as the love of his life and taking his frustrations out on some douchebag paparazzi is the same thing…

He worships Kristen, always has. How is this on the same level of punching a low life who mocks them? He might not have the balls to leave her yet, but he’s perfectly capable of taking it out on someone who is laughing at him. Don’t underestimate a hurt man. There’s only so much a person can take.

      • Rachel says:

@Annie. Its the so called “love of his life” thats put him in this situation. She made him an object of public ridicule, dont blame the paparazzi.

    • Another Ann says:

Hearing b.s. from the paps is nothing new for him, that was going on way before the Sanders fling. I remember seeing a video awhile back, where a pap was yelling in an airport “are you f*cking so-and-so?” (whoever his costar was at the time, don’t remember). He has always just put on a poker face and ignored the paps. They suck, but that’s the way it is. I’m surprised more celebs don’t punch them out, tbh.

      • Annie says:

Yeah but that was just banter. Them getting personal is not the same. One day a pap is going to say the wrong thing and implossive Rob is going to finally burst.

How much can a person take?

    • lyla says:

Elizabeth Hurley was banging other guys on the side though, that’s why. Tom sizemore, if you can believe it, to name one. They had some sort of open situation between them when they weren’ t together. Rob and Kristen could have something similar, most hollywood couplings have more liberal perimeters than middle america when it comes to boundaries.

      • Bored suburbanhousewife says:

@lyla– interesting and relevant point about Hurley/Grant. I suspect you are right about many Hollywood couples. Whether or not Hurley/Grant was open, however, after he returned to England they helped themselves inadvertently when a pap got photos of the two of them having a huge argy bargy in their back garden. It looked as if she was giving him hell and he was sitting there taking what he deserved like a whipped dog. It satisfied the public desire for justice. He got his comeuppance whether she was yelling at him for cheating or just yelling at him for being indiscreet,

Patz and Stew were papped, by contrast, post reunion with him dutifully trotting in with some fresh latte for her. His manliness has been called into question thereafter. Plus he’s not as pretty as he used to be and he looks awful in a beard.

  19. Lily says:

Countdown to damage control photo op is on

    • Tig says:

You are so right! Any bets as to what it’ll be?

Sometimes I think Rob is a contrarian by nature- like if he does move on, “everyone” will say “told you so!”, and that’s worse. I have seen it before, and it’s one possible explanation. Still, how anyone can stomach all those questions being yelled at one over and over is beyond me.

On the Met gala issue-isn’t that the one last year where she wore those god-awful socks with the Balenciaga shoes? Should be interesting!

    • Annie says:

More “quality time” photo ops with Kristen’s friends at Popsugar, who ALWAYS know where she is and are even allowed to hang out on her backyard so that people see they are together!

    • Another Ann says:

Why would “damage control” be needed? The story was a hoax, and shot down pretty quickly.

      • TinyPixie says:

Because the scandal is front and center again, inciting near riots in the crazy Twilight fandom while the rest of the gossip reading world mocks and laughs. But fake or not, it’s bad publicity. Now, I’m sure so intrepid publicist is setting up some happy ‘loved up’ PopSugar photo ops so we know, indeed, Robsten remains UNBROKEN.

      • Lily says:

Do you really think that just because that wasn’t Rupert this isn’t damaging her image? The fact that a lot of people believed she would not only cheat again but be so dumb to do it publicly says a lot about what the public’s perception of her is right now.

      • Annie says:

Seriously. If only, this entire thing shows that the media is not going to let Kristen off easy, and that every remotely suspisious activity will be blown out of proportion because people know what she’s capable of and they just WANT another scandal more than anything. Kind of unfair, but after doing what she did in broad daylight and involving the media with her embarrassing apology, she pretty much sealed her fate. This is why some celebrities are so paranoid. They have reasons to be!

And yet people still think she’s dropping off projects voluntarily. Who wants this kind of attention? No male co-star would enjoy being dragged into this disgusting game. Especially if he’s married. Like Ben and Will.

We’re not done witnessing the consequences of that one bad choice.

  20. Fred says:

I like the way he travels, down-scaled. Do we need another star who feels the need to be ostentatious in all things? He strikes me as much more likeable this way.

  21. Melymori says:

It’s funny because when the pics of Rob leaving LAX with all that luggage, fans were so sure he was going to be away for a long time(maybe starting shooting his next movie), since he doesn’t travel with that much luggage….I wonder if he came back sooner because of Kristen’s new scandal.

Poor guy, I used to find him attractive (not super sexy, because he doesn’t have that appeal) but with all this scandal he just seemed to be submissive to the big trampire ahhaha that is amking him look sooooo lame.

  22. Hannah says:

Look at him rushing home to his master like an obedient puppy. I’m just gonna laugh at how awkward that phone call asking him to flight back must have been. I bet that if there’s a time she doesn’t stutter, it’s when she mentions Rupert’s name to him. Shameless.

  23. janie says:

I love the guy & his luggage! Kristen, not so much!

  24. truthful says:

I just read an article where Vince Vaughn is supposedly telling him to dump her, LOL

    with these two who knows

2 weeks for MET Gala, yippeee!!
I can’t wait to see the pics.

  25. dcypher1 says:

I think rob is to good and nice for kristen. He deserves a lot better than her no showering ass. I think hes cute. He looks like a young morissey.

  26. Tig says:

@ Lilly- good one! Anyhow- Daily Fail has it couched in terms of Rob wanting a face to face with KS re the photos- a better headline for sure- prob about as accurate as any if them!

Re punching paps- years ago, forget who, had a bad habit of lashing out- agent told him” look, hit who you want, but every time you do, it’s costing you about $200,000.00-” He then said- “and I quit doing that mess on the spot”. Maybe Rob got the same lecture.

  27. Inconceivable! says:

Reports confirmed a few days ago that Kristen IS returning to the sequel of Snow White and the Huntsman. I don’t know if Rupert is going to direct or not?

    • Another Ann says:

No, it’s already been announced that Sanders is out for the sequel.

He’s an idiot – his first feature film, and he gets caught in a scandal with the lead actress. It’s going to be awhile – if ever – before he gets a shot at directing a big studio picture again.

      • Sid says:

Sanders is directing Tom cruise in Alex kurtzman/universal studios Van Helsing.

      • Bored suburbanhousewife says:

@Sid, well that makes sense, one good d bag deserves another.

      • Rachel says:

Both Rupert and Kristen acted like douchebags. Neither paid for it in professional terms as kristen is back for the snow white sequel so its the same for both of them. BUT only rupert paid for it in his personal life. His marriage with kids broke up, Kristen got step out very publically and keep her albeit spineless boyfriend.

  28. Decloo says:

OMG the neck beard! I just can’t…

  29. Sid says:

Doormat will have to deal with this as long he’s with homewrecker.

  30. dunzo says:

He looks absolutely delicious in those pics.

  31. Trudy says:

Did Kristen Stewart pull out of a movie because Will Smith was going to star in it? She said Will Smith was too old but she didn’t have a problem when it was Ben Affleck? Before Ben pulled out of the movie. Is it because Will Smith is black?

  32. nina says:

This feels like an alternate reality now. Like it’s the truman show and rob’s truman and people are constructing these false realities just to see how he reacts or to judge whatever he does-based on false situations.

Seriously, it’s so funny that the very people who care the most about them always make their lives so shitty by creating bad gossip just cause their own lives suck ass so they gotta project things upon their idols. lol

  33. Anniegetyourfun says:

Poor turnip, he is such a cuckhold!

  34. Anniegetyourfun says:

Do you guys think Rob is bad in bed since Kstew is always looking for strange?

    • Tig says:

My guess is KS really started believing she was some big deal, was Balenciaga’s “muse”, and Rupert blew more smoke up her a$$- and she fell for it- hook, line and sinker. Again, not suggesting she was the babe in the woods- rather it played into her inner monologue of being cool, different, and outside what is right/wrong. Once she got busted, she found pretty quick how reality works- Rupert wailing back to wife. I always wondered who left who high and dry.

This is a way too long way of saying- don’t assume Rob’s faults/virtues had a whole lot to do with her decision to get down and dirty with her director.

    • Rachel says:

He is not very sexy, i cant imagine him being some sex god.

  35. aquarius64 says:

The whole faux Rupert-gate could have been shut down if the manager of the restaurant went on the record saying the guy who looks like Rupert works for us as a valet. “Sources” and “witnesses” = PR team, and they need to stop insulting people’s intelligence. Now the MET Gala with Robsten showing up on the red carpet together? Since when did they ever do that at a non-Twilight, separate project event? Kristen’s team must be really scare of the new damage this has caused.

  36. Maria Clara says:

Those vicious attackers want Kristen’s blood. Hollywood Life started all of this mess and should be boycotted by fans of Kristen and Rob. They attack those who can’t fight back like a hungry lion. I still support Kristen.

  37. cupcake says:

I don’t know if I am alone in this but I feel strangely attracted to him because of the beard he is sporting..

  38. oivey says:

I have to laugh at all the “He’s the valet” comments I keep seeing. Coming from the people who think that US Weekly had some conspiracy going on when they published the photos of KStew and Sanders last year…I’m more inclined to NOT believe “he’s the valet”.

  39. Val5 says:

It’s just an alcoholic wreck ballsfree and a mediocre actor, who really wants hit this?
