Selena Gomez broke up with Justin Bieber again, visits Hooters to celebrate

Here’s a photo Selena Gomez posted on her Twitter yesterday with the message, “Hope all the amazing moms had a great day! I have the best momma in the world :)) I love you so much!” That’s her mother Mandy Cornett, who is totally pregnant again. Mandy gave birth to Selena when she was 16… which makes Mandy 36 years old right now. Good God. I can’t even imagine having a 20-year-old daughter at that age.

In other Selena news, she just told a radio station that she and Justin Bieber are done for good. Which we’ve heard before. Selena and Justin seemed to reunite in April, with Selena traveling to see him in Europe and Justin posting cheesy photos of the two of them. But yesterday, the DJ asked her: “So sometimes you may see a boy walking down the street and he says, ‘Let’s grab and ice-ream. You’re available?’” Selena said, “Yep, I’m available in every way. By the way, that would be awesome if someone asked if I wanted ice cream.”

Selena also went out to eat at Hooters a few days ago – she tweeted a photo of herself with a bunch of the Hooters waitresses. She has a long history with Hooters – she’s said in interviews that her dad used to take her to Hooters when she was just a kid, and she would help him pick up women. PS… is it just me or do those Hooters waitresses look REALLY young?

I’m devastated. Does anyone over 25 honestly care about these two?

  2. truthful says:

I saw her latest video and it was brutal to watch.

I wonder if she got the wings or shrimp at Hooters?

    • virginia5 says:

I just watched her video this morning. it was bad, turned off after a minute or two lol.

      • Tiffany :) says:

I saw one of her performances (I think it was MTV Movie Awards) and it was so terrible. I thought since she grew up performing on Disney that she would be a natural…but nope. Couldn’t sing, couldn’t dance, didn’t even know how to smile or pose or perform in anyway. How does she has a career in music?

      • jwoolman says:

Her music videos used to be good because she was a good actor – otherwise, I assume the vocals are all digitally enhanced and my cat could do as well. I think she didn’t get into the Disney stable until her early teens when she got the role on Wizards of Waverly Place. She did well on the show and most importantly improved more and more each season and was quite good by the end. She has a chance as an actor. But The Mouse keeps pushing his kids into singing and touring to make him bigger bucks, and so most (like her) are not very good at it and there is only so much that the magic microphone can fix. Nickelodeon does the same thing, explaining why the girl who played Carly on iCarly (who is still limited as an actor and even more so as a singer) was/is “on tour” so much. Such kids will quickly lose their audience as they age and new kids will be pushed into it. It’s really sad. At some point they must realize they don’t really have the skills and it works only because their audience is young and gullible and not discriminating. They just get excited about seeing somebody from a favorite show on stage.

  3. Lia says:

It’s called teenage relationships together one minute not the next. The media needs to stop acting like their a mature couple.

  4. Sirsnarksalot says:

That black and white of them naked with her hand clearly on his junk is nauseating. Why do kids not grasp that the Internet is forever and her 30 year old self is going to regret that photo like there’s no tomorrow?! Gross

    • Rhea says:

LOL. Thank God I didn’t grew up in the era where social media are booming like now. 😀

    • xxx says:

See I don’t think they are naked. You can just see the corner of his white jocks (or whatever) and she is most likely wearing a singlet or something similar at least since I can’t imagine her allowing him to post a nude photo of her. I also don’t think her hand is on his “junk”, just on his thigh or something like that. I think this is a lot tamer than people are assuming, but that’s the problem with still photos and with the internet – everyone always assumes the worst!

  5. Advillevigne says:

If that is really Selena in the black/white picture with the biebs she has to be in the next grudge movie. it literally goes without saying that she must have been ‘possessed’ to fly all the way to reunited with the monkeyabandoner.

    • marie says:

or she needs the publicity for she has a new album coming out!

    • eo says:

Speaking of monkeyabandoner, apparently his lawyers finally signalised Bieber has no interest in Mally and come friday the monkey will be state property. According to the federal office he won’t be sold but integrated in a longstanding group of capuchines and the location will be kept a secret so as not to draw anymore unwanted attention to the life of the little guy.

Idiot could have made up his mind sooner and his monkey would already be around other capuchins for weeks.

  6. Shelby says:

Father taking his daughter to Hooters…unreal

    • Katie Too says:

Umm, the wings are really good. If you’ve never been, it’s not what you think unless they have a big event where they use the A-team waitresses.

I pity the fool who thinks it’s a reference to a kick-butt show!

      • Erinn says:

        +1
Hooters isn’t some sleazy strip bar or whore house. I really never got the whole outrage people have for it. I’ve never eaten in one, because there are none anywhere near me. But I’d go. And I wouldn’t have an issue with my fiance going.

      • MonicaQ says:

I live in Clearwater where the 1st Hooters is and it’s never been good. Consider yourself very lucky to have a competent one.

      • Alarmjaguar says:

Dudes, it is called Hooters and features scantily clad waitresses. It thinks it is very clever for marketing itself as a ‘family’ restaurant with lots of wink, wink, nudge, nudge references. Yuck. This also applies to ‘Pink Taco.’ Disgusting. Go to Denny’s or Chilis for pete’s sake, they are all the same, minus the gross innuendos about women’s bodies.

      • Wd says:

The food is mediocre and overpriced.

    • truthful says:

uhh, I used to LOVE Hooter’s its chicks in shorts and tight tees–the stockings that they wear are so ugly, I did not feel threatened or out of place.

I never seen them flirty, they actually act like they can’t be bothered w/men.

I had to stop going because I love beer, buffalo wings & their buffalo shrimp.

those lil chicks are normally huddled in the back talking about whatever it is they whisper about..”making it big”

      • Wd says:

The girls might flirt with some customers to get a bigger tip, but afterwards they huddle in the back and laugh about them while discussing their real boyfriends.

    • Mr. Stinky FishFace says:

I used to work at hooters and really its not /that/ bad. There were a lot of shit rules and stuff but 90% of the time we did our job, got oogled, and left it at that. There were the few girls who took it past what any decent person would but honestly I wore way more at Hooters (you had a legit dresscode from your underwear out) than I did at say a public swimming pool.

      • Vickyb says:

But there’s a reason for less clothes at a public swimming pool.

The only reason for the scantily-clad waitresses at Hooters is so they can be ogled. That seems waaaaay unnecessary, outdated, and insulting.

      • Mr. Stinky FishFace says:

Getting oogled happens all the time no matter what you’re wearing though. I work at a pub now part time we wear tshirts and black pants and I get just as many looks as I did in a tanktop, shorts, hose (which are more like leggings they’re so thick) and calf high socks.

    • teehee says:

Good food can be found in places besides this one- even if the waitresses arent all otu all teh time, the PRINCIPLE of the matter is, a young woman shouldnt think its ok or even worse, enjoyable, to go to a place like that. Thats one thing I never understand, why are women shown naked women– If I had a daughter I would take her to a male staffed joint at the very least. If youre going for eye candy when you eat, then make it the correct sex, please.
Its like women who celebrate byg oing to a strip club to watch WOMEN dance. I will NEVER in my LIFE understand it.

      • paranormalgirl says:

That’s your preference, but it might not be the preference of others. I’ve been to Hooters. I don’t consider a t-shirt/tank top and shorts to be “scantily clad” and they are certainly not naked. They had good wings (my favorite American pub food) and a decent selection of beers and it was close to the University I was teaching at. But it went downhill and then closed.

      • Jennykins says:

It’s ok if they also like women. The main thing seems to be that it’s ‘cool’ to objectify women. Joining the boys club as it were.” Look at me I have no hangups, I’m totally into objectifying women too!”

Hooters exists to objectify women. Arguing to the contrary is like arguing that people go to strip clubs for the reasonably priced alcohol. I’m not hating in hooters waitstaff, my last bar job I had to wear knee high stockings and a kilt. I am pointing out that it is objectifying though and probably sexist. Once they start adding dudes in short shorts ill take back the sexist part.

  7. neelyo says:

    She’s very boring.

  8. TheOriginalKitten says:

Is it just me or is there a pattern here? It seems like a lot of parents of kids who end up in the Disney franchise give birth at a relatively young age.

    • Nemesis says:

Her mom is preggers, not her 🙂

Edit: I thought u thought she was preggers. That’s what I get for posting without thoroughly reading.

    • Lauren Carter says:

      @ The Original… I get what you’re saying.

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

No I meant that the article said that Selena’s mother had her at 16 years old. That is really young to be having a kid…Bieber’s mom was 17 too wasn’t she?

      • MonicaQ says:

My mom was 16 when she had me (I’m 28 now) and really, in some ways teen moms never grow up. Most (not all) I’ve seen still try to be hip and cool and their kid’s “friend” before being a parent. My mom was more caught up in my HS Marching Band/JROTC drama than I was and I was Band Captain and Battalion Commander and would take my friends out for ice cream all the time to “catch up”.

      • teehee says:

@Monicaq – this possibly proves theoriginals supsicions– ie, that younger mothers try to live through their childs success– whether it be in the HS band or thru Disney kid stardom…

  9. Lauren says:

Personally I don’t think Selena Gomez is worth all the hoopla the media is trying to make out of her. Her voice is unremarkable as so many other singers and her acting/ the roles she chooses are not stellar in my opinion.

I couldn’t care less about her and Justin and I wish they’d stop pushing their relationship crap in our face.

Someone else commented that nobody over the age of 25 cares about her relationship but I would think it’s a safe bet to say no one over the age of 20 cares about this girl and Justin Beiber’s dating history.

  10. Nemesis says:

And I really thought it would last this time. This just ruined my whole week. I’m so upset I think I need the rest of the day off. I wonder if my boss will buy that.

  11. BreeinSEA says:

    Well…. alright then.

  12. Faun says:

Those Hooters waitresses DO look very young.

  13. Faye says:

Her father used her to help pick up women? That explains so very much about her outlook on relationships.

  14. wonderwoman21 says:

Selena looks just like her mom

  15. Michelle says:

A lot of the girls that work at Hooters are right out of high school. Some are just starting college/junior college. (I work at a junior college, so I see a lot of that. There is a Hooters just a few exits from us.)

  16. Pants O'Sass says:

I’m more upset that hooters still makes their waitresses wear such a hideous sock and shoe combination. They haven’t updated their look since Selena was born.

  17. Apples says:

I read somewhere that one of Biebs’ newer tattoos is missing in that black and white photo, therefore indicating that is an old photo of them. He was just being nostalgic and posting old pics. LOL
I also can’t see his belly button or below. So, I am going to assume that her hand isn’t on his junk but, resting on his lower abs. (God, these two make me feel old.)
I don’t follow them so I was wondering if we know for sure they actually got together again? Maybe they are just friends now and will continue to hang out randomly?

  18. dorothy says:

Hooter’s? Really? ~ hanging head in despair.

  19. Mandy says:

Yeah, yeah, yeah. We’ve heard this before!

  20. gg says:

I don’t think I would like if somebody wanted to give me an ice-ream …

    “‘Let’s grab and ice-ream” 😉

  21. Marty says:

You can work at a Hooters as long as you’re 17/18. It depends on the age you are allowed to serve liquor in your state.

  22. s says:

I was about to comment on that ! Those waitresses look like they’re 16. It’s disturbing.

  23. LouLou says:

The basic premise of Hooters is that you go there to stare at boobs. I don’t care how wholesome they try to make it. While they are at it, why don’t they open a chain where young men can work in speedos? They can call it Wieners or Snakes or Pickles or something.

    • Alarmjaguar says:

      Lol!

    • Emily says:

      This.

Hooters disturbs me far more than the typical topless bar or strip club. It’s pretending to be something it’s not, and that is disgusting.

      • Tiffany :) says:

I feel like the way men treat waitresses in general is pretty disgusting.

I waited tables during college at “respectable” places and was regularly harrassed even if I was wearing a uniform that covered me head to toe. Examples: come here and let me show you how to take a dollar tip, sit on my lap, here’s my number, an elderly man asking if I would show two teen boys my boobs, etc.

I had a friend who worked at Hooters, so I thought I’d give it a try. At Hooters, I didn’t get harrassed more than usual, the customers just feel more obligated to tip better. I got tips that were 700% (etc.) of the tab quite frequently. After a while though, I couldn’t handle the shimmery tights and waitressing in general and I moved on to other things.

    • Angelduster says:

      Ha ha!
I can just imagine it, a burger restaurant called Pickles, served by hunky men in speedos.

  24. Katie Too says:

Aargh! I consider myself a woman who demands equal treatment to men and the ability to make my own choices–“feminist” is such a loaded word. Although an attorney now, in college I was a Hooters waitress. It paid very well and the outfit was mortifying due to the colors and hose. It was nothing worse than what I’d wear to a club.

There was polite flirting, but it was the same stuff my friends who worked at Outback and such got. I was a B team girl so my boobs, although big, were fairly covered. The A teamers were the calendar girls who mostly did promotions and were more skimply clad-knowingly and intentionally.

We’d roll our eyes at the jerks that wanted numbers, but they were very few and far between.

I have heard of a Hooters or two where the girls and/or men cross the line regularly, but think they’re mostly UL.

If you like their food, it’s not a bad place to go. My BFF have a work lunch at one every month.

  25. Katie Too says:

Men have even settled discrimination lawsuits against them although the last I heard about it was 2009. For a while, men were getting past the motion to dismiss arguments–something relatively rare for a suit like that. It all may have come crashing down since then.

  26. april says:

The top photo of Selena and her mother is really good. Selena is finally looking more grown up and attractive. Her singing career is pretty lame.

The one with her and Beiber is so gross.

  27. hotpockets says:

Ugh I use to work at hooters. It was sort of a toxic work environment and yes, they like to hire young. I was 19 when I started. They haven’t changed the uniforms since the 80’s.

  28. KellyinSeattle says:

Selena looks a lot like her mom; they’re both pretty. Pretty, though, not sexy …Selena is trying so hard to sex up her image, but he’s cute, not sexy…and as she ages, I don’t think she’ll outgrow her baby face…saw her performing, “Come and get it”…it was terrible, and I mean really bad. She didn’t have any vocal range and looked like she was going to trip when she danced. She’s probably a sweet girl just caught up in pop culture…re: Hooters…we have a lot of cowboy drive throughs here in Seattle (women in tank tops/big boobs),,,lean down when they serve up lattes, etc…there has been some stink about the legality of the practice of hiring only “hot” girls, but haven’t heard how they settled.

    • Bridget says:

Tank tops and big boobs? Out here in the ‘burbs its all about the Bikini Barista stand. For a while there were some in Everett where the women just wore pasties. I cannot imagine paying $6-$7 for a latte just because some chick is in a bathing suit when she serves it, but then again I’m a straight girl.

      • VioletCrumble says:

I know loads of girls (daughter included) who have worked in “normal” cafes, and who complained regularly of getting burns from making and/or serving coffee. I’m just imagining the scalds the girls wearing pasties might be risking….

  29. Shaz says:

    I don’t care if she’s a great singer – she tots adorable!

  30. Monika says:

    Her mother is really beautiful.

  31. Scarlett says:

Beautiful young woman but geez, it seems like her people have her spread all over the place. I think her best bet is focus on acting and becoming a better actress. I think the general public or at least anyone over the age of 16 are over hearing about her on/off relationship with Bieber.

  32. Norman says:

I am probably one of the few that are not crying over the breakup of Selena Gomez and Bieber. Her bikini body (very recent pictures of her) is the best revenge body.

  33. Asdfg says:

She seems so much older and mature than Justin! Remember when they first “got together”? He looked like a scrawny 13 yr old ( he was supposedly 16 ) compared too Selena – who looked her age at the time!

    http://www.blogcdn.com/www.popeater.com/media/2011/02/gomez-bieber-2.jpg

Look how small he was just 2 yrs ago! O.O He’s small now but 2 yrs ago Selena weighed more than he did! Steroids?

I don’t think their relationship was ever “real”! I think it was all PR!

  34. Love's Bitch says:

Christ, she looks like she’s about twelve in that last photo.

  35. Dedrie says:

She finds Justin repulsive, childish, stupid, careless but honors their one time friendship ..as a semi friend when he screws up and is found in dire straights he has no one else to talk to that isn’t a enabler. I think she helps him because his stupid mother can’t do anything and calls her and begs for help. I doubt Selena can save him and she has her own career, life, family to attend to.. not babysitting a freakish jerk and cheater who diverts her from personal success..

  36. Native says:

I never realized how small Selena is! Next to the “normal” sized gals, she is actually very slim. Those tiny legs!

  37. Brittney says:

Yeah, they ARE looking incredibly young in that picture. It’s disturbing that a restaurant would cater to middle-aged men with girls younger than their own daughters.

On that note, I know a girl who received implants as a high school graduation gift… and the crowning achievement of her life so far is representing her Hooter’s in a national bikini contest. And her parents are proud. Disturbing on so many levels.
