As the Anna Nicole story has even more twists and turns, I’m trying to decide if I give a shit anymore. Of course her body is unburied amid issues over who has control over the burial and two different court orders demanding Anna stick around until further rulings on DNA testing for Dannielynn’s paternity. It will probably hang around for weeks while the court cases drag on, rivalling her son’s record of 39 days between death and burial, and James Brown’s wait for a final resting place of 50 days and counting.
Anna’s mom Virgie Arthur has hired a Florida-based lawyer to try to get Anna’s body released for burial as soon as possible. Larry Birkhead’s court rulings prevent the corpse from being buried before a further ruling on February 20th. Arthur supports Birkhead’s paternity claim and it seems like she would want to work along with him in his quest to get DNA from Anna’s body. Also vying for Anna’s body are her lawyers. They told Birkhead that they would give him DNA from Anna if he would release the body, but they won’t give him the baby’s DNA and don’t seem to have much clout in the matter compared to her mother
Her mother is also trying in her trash-talking way to gain control of the half-billion dollar baby Anna barred her from seeing while she was still able to do so. She obtained an injunction from a Bahamian court that prevents Howard K Stern from leaving the country with the tot and filed a complaint with police that the baby is not safe in Howard’s custody.
Anna’s estranged mom said she didn’t want control of Dannielynn, but that she didn’t want Howard K Stern to have her, either. She said she thinks Larry Birkhead is the father and that he should be caring for the girl. A friend of Anna’s mom said “There’s two common denominators in the deaths of her daughter and her grandchild – drugs and Howard K. Stern,” which seems to explain why she doesn’t think the baby is safe in his care.
Meanwhile the 911 tapes have been released, and are rather boring. No one seems particularly excited or distraught over the fact that Anna is unresponsive, and the 911 operator isn’t impressed when told that she’s responding to a call for Anna Nicole Smith.
And a traffic ticket in which Larry Birkhead explained his speeding to a police officer by saying “I got a call from my pregnant girlfriend, she’s sick,” may be just the evidence he needs in his paternity case for Dannielynn. The officer actually wrote down “wife,” instead of girlfriend, and Birkhead’s spontaneous response may be seen as evidence that he believes he’s the father and is not just in it for the money.
Larry Birkhead is SCUM!!! While he maybe the father – what type of man who supposedly cared for this woman goes to sue her for paternity days after her beloved son died??? This is a man who cared for Anna Nicole? Is this how you show your love for a woman.
Here is a man who had no concern for Anna Nicole’s mental welfare and in the midst of anguish and extreme grief over the loss of her son, plows away and files paternity suits…this was uncalled for. While he maybe the father, if he cared for Anna Nicole in the least, he would have waited for her to deal with the death of her son instead of facing yet ANOTHER legal battle.
He is just another piece of low-life slime as far as I am concerned.
I totally agree…the traffic ticket proves NOTHING! And not only was he suing for paternity but he was also suing for Anna Nicole to pay her legal fees..WHAT a dreamboat, I sure would love to find a man that loved me that much… NOT!

I disagree, her son’s death fell on or about the same time as the baby’s birth. He must have had this thing lined up before Daniel’s death. He must have retained lawyers a long time before this. In fact, he was very vocal about the fact that he was the father and would fight with her once the baby was born.
As corrupt as most folks accuse Anna Nicole’s mother believe she is. She’s really Dani’s only real blood relative and she’s entitled to visitation. That’s the law in most states. My brother is having the same issue right now. My brother is livid because the grandfather is a corrupt person and wants nothing to do with him. But in NYC, where I am from, there are Grandparent laws and this jerk has rights.
Let that tired old junkee stripper die already! Give the bitch a burial at sea by flushing her remains down the toilet. She was shit after all. Allowed one child to die of an overdose and left the other to become a drug addicted stripper at the hands of Howard K. Stern.

Poor Dannielynn! Who SHOULD she go to? It seems like EVERY person who wants to “care for her” is actually trying to use her for something. What a bunch of awful, evil, greedy people. I don’t think Howard should get her(based on what I saw on the “anna nicole show”) it seemed to me that he didn’t even like Anna, from the attitude he had on the show, but who knows, now, since the show was done a while ago. From recent pix, tho, howard looks like a leach on Anna, and was obviously trying to get in her wallet. Then there’s this Larry guy. Like everyone says, why would he put Anna through all of that if he cared for her? He’s not trying to get Dani because of how much he cared about her mother, it’s for the $$$. And as far as I know, the only other person who MIGHT get her, and doesn’t deserve her, is Anna’s mom. She didn’t want her daughter to have anything to do with her mom while she was alive, why would that change when she’s dead? Her mom looks like a white-trash money-sucker and I sure as hell wouldn’t give the baby to HER if I were the judge. That woman is only in it for what she can get out of it. Sorry this is so long, I just can’t believe what a mess this poor, innocent, helpless baby is in right now. She has no way of deciding who SHE wants to grow up with, and who knows how she’ll turn out with ANY of those three as her guardian. It gives me chills. They should just give her up for adoption, anonymously. You KNOW that there are a million people who’d DIE to have a beautiful baby girl to love. But instead, she’ll probably grow up without any love and end up in a tragic cycle like her mom, trying to find “love” wherever she can, doing whatever she can to get it.
So it seems everybody knows Anna’s mother and knows she shouldn’t have the baby, just based on what she LOOKS LIKE. Come on.
Just because Anna, who was notably crazy and stupid, said she didn’t want the grandmother to see the baby, doesn’t mean a thing to me. Her judgment was whack, at best.
This is why they have to make custody laws, to keep idle gossip from interfering with family’s rights to see their kin.
Actually, I once saw an interview with some of her family members, remember her cousins? Wasn’t her mom on that one, too? Anyway, if that family can turn out THAT many wackos, then there is PROBABLY something off with the parents, somewhere along the lines. You’re right, Anna wasn’t all there, most of the time, but does that mean that what she would have wanted doesn’t matter since she died and can’t say anything about it? That doesn’t seem right. What if she had good reason for not letting her mom see the baby? So, just because she’s a blood relative, she should automatically get the baby. Let’s say, for example, that a parent molested a child, then that child grew up, had a kid, and then died suddenly. What if the molester was the only living relative? So, you think the molester should get the baby, since that’s the blood relative? Yeah, we really should pass a law like that, so that we don’t have to worry about deciding what’s best for the child. Things aren’t always so cut and dried. Sometimes you can’t just make blanket laws to cover EVERY situation. In a case as important as who gets to raise a child, these things should be carefully examined and the BEST person should be chosen to take care of her, not anybody who is a blood relative, just because they are a blood relative.
He had no reason to do it before Howard K Stern said he was the father on Larry King, and challanged him to get a lawyer. Now if she wouldn’t let him see the baby after it was born, ofcourse he had a reason to get going even more quickly.

I am absolutely amazed at all the creepy crawly people who are coming out of the woodwork and their claims of how “close” they were to Anna and what a scum Howard is.
Maybe these people should look in the mirror – after all Howard has been with Anna for at least 15 years and most of these people have proven themselves to be complete users – there is a reason Anna’s mom is estranged from her – I don’t think Anna would want her child with her mom. Same holds true for Larry Birkhead…if Anna wanted him to be a part of her childs life, then he would have been – maybe Anna knew this guy was just another leech – her life was filled with them unfortunately.
I don’t know who the father of this baby is…truth is, even SHE didn’t know for sure. There weren’t many people she was turning down when approached for a romp in the sheets. Plus, she was so drugged out, she probably couldn’t remember much either.
As far as Larry Birkhead trying to establish paternity…he was told all along it was his baby, and he believed that. He also knew how bad the drug issue was in this crew. When the girl was born and he was refused a chance to even see her, I imagine he became very upset. He has a right to see her if it is his child! I imagine he was planning on filing papers already. Now with the questions swirling around Daniel’s death, I would expect him to grow afraid for his daughter’s welfare and try to rescue her. I would call him scum if he didn’t.
I don’t know who the father of the baby is, but that is who should have her. And they should determine it immediately. That baby’s safety is at risk right now. I would not be shocked to find out the baby was kidnapped given the current situation and that is scary.
That poor little girl. She will never have a day of peace in this world.
I want to know what the reason for the animosity between Anna and her mother was. Anna was prone to extreme drama, so who knows.

Howard is toast anyway, because he picked up the mail-in methodone for her. He’s got so many criminal issues going right now he knows he’s going to get screwed in the end.
I THINK ANNA JUST WAS INSECURE AND A VERY HURT PERSON DEEP DOWN. WHEN HER SON DIED I PRAYED FOR HER. NOW ALL ANY OF US CAN DO IS PRAY GODS WILL BE DONE FOR THAT BABY AND JUSTICE BE DONE IN ANNAS DEATH. HOWARD NEEDS PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL HELP HE NEEDS TO TURN TO GOD. IT’S TO LATE FOR ANNA BUT NOT FOR THAT BABY. I HOPE WHOEVER GETS THAT BABY LOVES HER AND CARES FOR HER. IT’S NOT ABOUT YOU GUYS ITS ABOUT A HELPLESS BABY WHO NEEDED HER MOTHER AND BROTHER MAY GOD BE WITH THEM ALL.
