I never watched Big Love, but am obsessively doing so now – so I feel a desire to watch Sister Wives… I can’t get enough of the polygamy for some reason.
I tried to watch Grey’s Anatomy-all the episodes are on Hulu AND Cristina Yang and Owen Hunt are HOT together-I especially am jealous of Sandra Oh’s hair….
But that show reads like a better acted soap opera. I’m glad that I read the wiki of it first, because I would’ve been mad that I spent all this time watching a show and have it turn out like that.
Can someone explain Cristina and Owen to me? I get that Cristina doesn’t want kids, but why on earth doesn’t she (apparently not) use good reliable birth control. She’s been pregnant twice on the show. And I don’t understand how they could get married and not talk about something like that. AND I’ve heard that Shonda Rimes said that they’re supposed to be together, in the end, so how are they going to get through the baby thing?
Plus, I’m just mad that they killed off Mark and Lexie. Seriously? Shonda girl, you better be glad that you’re redeeming yourself w/ Scandal, because I am just mad…and I haven’t even watched all of the show.
Pet peeve. I refuse to even start scandal because I know it will turn into a rotting trash heap of secondary characters like Grey’s.
I will be beyond pissed off, if she starts that crap with Scandal. I don’t mind the show getting a little crazy now, especially with everyone knowing Olivia was the mistress, the stuff with her dad…but if she starts a love triangle heads will ROLL. Olivia IS NOT in love with Jake. NOT IN LOVE…remember that Shonda. Do not make her in love. And Fitz better have been telling Mellie that he’s gonna divorce her, while he had his head in her lap. I don’t get why she changed Mellie. Because in the first season, it was made clear that Mellie didn’t care if Fitz was in love w/Olivia or not, as long as he did his job right. The second season they make her lovesick. Doesn’t add up…Bellamy Young is amazing though.
I don’t like Meredith Grey, though. I watch half of season 1 and half of season 5-she seems like a really selfish, whiny character. Like that episode when the interns (Lexie) were practicing stitches on themselves-she didn’t even care to ask if her sister was all right? Even after Derek was worried that she was a cutter? Derek wasn’t even related and he was more concerned.
I watch Grey’s anatomy only for Dr. Hunt hotness.
I don’t get those two together.

I loved the first 3 years of Grey’s. It was at its best, those first 3 seasons.
Then it slowly killed my love.
I stopped watching the year Christina got pregnant by Owen.
I was annoyed for the same reason you are now. Christina is suppose to be a extremely bright girl. But who makes the most ridiculous personal decisions.
But for me the thing that went wrong with the show overall. Is the show became too deeply involved with making the entire group of doctors, a bunch of idiots. Who make horrible decisions (personal and professional) every dang week.
And how many times can you screw with Meridith’s daily life, before she becomes a total head case? The show killed her Mother and her step Mother… and her sister! Is her father still with a pulse? Does Derek still have a pulse? Have they killed off her child yet? We all know its just a matter of time till they are all dead.
If I thought it would move back to telling odd medical stories with some occasional personal stories of the doctors, I would watch again.
But they lost me when it became a show about sick tragedy after tragedy… for every doctor character on the show.
I bailed a little earlier than you. Seasons 1 and 2 were good then it got so crappy. I hope that doesn ‘t happen with Scandal!
I think it went downhill after season 2 already… I always stop there when I’m rewatching the series (I used to watch it out of habit until season 6 when I just couldn’t take it anymore).
But the first two seasons were amazing! I’ve never cried as much at a fictional character’s death as when Denny Duquette died, and I don’t think I ever will.
Britney should have worn a more appropriate outfit to church. It’s not as though she’s a poor person and that micro mini dress and those thigh high boots is all she has to put on. Yes, I am aware that God cares about what’s in ones heart not what’s on the outside. And yes it’s good that she went to church in the first place but there’s still a thing called self respect or respect of others. Then there’s also plain old common sense. She lacks that sometimes. It’s the principle of it. Anyway, it’s Britney so I guess she could have dressed worse.
Oh dear, bless her heart. I can’t judge. She is not right mentally, and I don’t think she knows any better after the upbringing she has had. The Lord would rather have her in Church with all her bits covered than not at all, I am sure.

This trash heap has annoyed me since day one. I think I was just a little too old for this marketed pop princess when she burst on the scene. I saw her for what she was- a cute girl, great dancer/entertainer (not singer). But thought she was pure trash. Sorry Brit Brit fans, but I do love watching this never-ending trashy train wreck.

I was too old as well. She is well marketed for sure. She seems like a nice, not too bright person. Very likeable and controllable. She seems to be in a much better place. I don’t think functioning on her own is a life skill she has.

Sorry, but I don’t sympathize with her case at all. Her or Lohan. I think some women are just train wrecks that use drugs as a crutch. Yes, I think she is mental, but not ill. She is not talented, and if she were TRUYLY mentally ill- she would not be allowed to perform.
However, I do think poor Amanda Bynes is defiantly going through some kind of mental crisis.

Here’s the thing: a Conservatorship is a big, big deal. For her to be reduced to a child in the eyes of the law there had to be something very wrong and for her to not be capable of making decisions for herself. This goes beyond any sort of spoiled, bratty child – for example you may notice that Amanda Bynes family was only able to petition for a conservatorship after she was put in a 5150 hold and had started a fire. Britney Spears now has the same rights as a 17 year old minor. When she was engaged she wouldn’t have been allowed to get married without the consent of her Co servator. This stuff is a big, big deal.
I really hope there are no cases of mental illness among your family and friends, because they apparently wouldn’t be able count on you to acknowledge it, much less sympathize and help.
Yeah, because her people totally wouldn’t pump her full of drugs in order to make millions and millions of dollars (making THEM a wole pile of cash) if she was REALLY mentally ill, hire companions for her so that she’s never alone, script all of her public appearances. Because we all know that if Britney were truly mentally ill all of those people that have made a fortune off her back would totally have her stop performing.

ACTUALLY…this is not an unusual look to see in church these days among women I know for a fact are godly. I think they think it is on trend and shows that Christianity doesn’t need to be dowdy. Christian LA fashion is about 10-15 years behind the times which is way ahead of the Christians in rest of the country. Also,some women found outfits in thrift stores.
