Here are some photos from last night’s LA premiere of Elysium. The premiere was a huge event – much bigger than the sad little Jobs premiere which also took place last night. Unfortunately, there weren’t many big-name Fashion Girls in attendance. Still, we get to look at nice photos of Matt Damon, and how bad can that be? I don’t know what designer Lucy is wearing. All I know is that it feels like I’ve seen her in this dress before. She wears a lot of blue on the red carpet. But I’m glad to see that Matt hasn’t knocked her up again – for a while there, she was in a constant state of pregnancy, it seemed. Also: Matt got pranked by Jimmy Kimmel during the Elysium junket:
Jodie Foster wore Roland Mouret. It’s kind of boring, simple dress, but I love this color on Jodie. She usually wears Armani too, so I guess it’s notable that she’s in Mouret.
Sharlto Copley is so hot! I love him.

Yay Matt Damon! I am really starting to love this guy, everything I hear about him makes him sound really sweet and funny. Also, the cameo he did on the Colbert Report a few days ago was too hilarious for words.
As for the fashion…meh. It all looks the same, especially the women’s dresses. Same general cut, same styling, same color palette. Yawn.
It would be great if there were actually some ‘new’ fashion trends – on the red carpet and even in the city. The uniform yoga pants are so boring to look at nowadays – the fifties must have been fun when everyone was dressed to the nines.
She’s a lucky woman. I would say the same about him–lucky guy. I hope they stay strong and make it to the end.
Everyone looks nice. Both women look terrific in their blue dresses. So nice to see such beautiful colors.
Wow that blue dress looking really good on Mrs Civilian with the skin tone! But it’s funny as Jodie Foster’s looks similar only the colour and sleeves are different.
I still don’t get why people trash Lucy all the time. On the Damon thread yesterday, a few posters were insinuating that all Lucy does is sit on her ass all day, while she’s not spending Matt’s money. What is the deal with her? I mean, is it that hard to believe a non reality show celebrity actually fell in love with a single mom who was a bartender? And that this single mom bartender (who I’ve never even heard say a word to the press) fell in love with him back for HIMSELF and not for his money/fame? Lucy gives me hope, because if I ever snag a hot actor, I sure am going to stay the hell away from the press.
And we need to discuss the possibility of Jodie Foster being an alien. The woman is freaking fifty years old and doesn’t look like she’s aged a day in the past ten years. If she’s had any work done, she needs to hand out the number to her surgeon, STAT! She looks amazing and gorgeous.
I am complete on board with all of your Lucy comments. She seems normal – not riding MD’s coattails for her own celebrity, but not apologetic for being with a rich A-lister either.

There really is no winning. If she came out and talked, she’s being like Chris Hemsworth’s wife. She stays out of the spotlight then she’s a sneaky, ninja gold digger. She goes out and actually spends his money she’s like Princess Kate.
They seem like a nice couple imo.
I mean she gets shit by TONS of people for saying nothing. For doing nothing. I don’t think that I’ve ever heard her voice. Probably the most public thing she’s ever done is a few years ago at Cannes (or some film festival) she wore a low cut dress, that showed off her tan lines i.e. she was definitely noticed.
The crap she gets is probably the reason why a lot of ‘civilians’ won’t date actors, let alone famous ones. It’s not worth it.

And to those throwing shade at Lucy and wondering what she does with her time? SHE’S RAISING 3 DAUGHTERS. It takes time and energy to do that right. I think she and Matt are great. Love them both. She seems like a yes girl…game for being schlepped down red carpets and such and that can’t be the most relaxing thing in the world.
If I remember right, they’ve got four girls. She had one w/ her ex husband, and three w/Damon.

I totally agree, she doesnt seek the spotlight and not much is known about her past what damon says. There is no reason to hate on her.
On the plus side, I seriously doubt that she reads the gossip sites! But I also agree — there are so many ill-behaved folks in Hollywood, and she’s slammed for deigning to marry a celeb who appears to be a nice guy.

gah, I have to admit (albeit grudgingly) that lately I’ve found Matt more attractive. it annoys me and I have no idea why.. that blue is a good color on his wife. Diego Luna, such a cutie.
Love Jodie’s dress, didn’t know she had those curves. Luciana’s dress is also Mouret, from the same collection. Thank goodness they went for different shades of blue!

Matt’s wife is sweet, lovely lady. Matt is the star there, he’s so likeable. I don’t think his wife wants to be outfront trying to be a star and it suits her, she seems like just a nice,homespun, regular woman who a moviestar fell in love with. No diva vibe from her at all. Love both the blue dresses, the ladies look great, Jodie Foster looks fabulous, she’s always been such a class act and beauty that she never plays up, but she is quite beautiful.
She never even talks on the red carpet, unlike Alec Baldwin’s wife who thinks she’s a star too.
If someone asks her (Luciana) a direct question, then yes, she should respond – otherwise that’s quite rude. I think it’s appropriate for her to stay silent as they are there to promote a film and she’s not the celebrity.
Ugh, that Hilaria Baldwin & her ‘celebrity’ desperation. So off putting. If that is the only other option of how to be a ‘civilian’ wife of a celebrity/actor, I’d choose Lucy’s way 1000 times over!
I just love laying in my bed and looking at pictures of Hilaria posing her ass off for the cameras at film festivals OR (my favorite!) walking around with that little smirk on her face when the paps “accidentally” find her…..that woman probably has all their numbers memorized and knows ’em all by name.
If I were ever married to someone in the public eye, I wouldn’t say anything either. I would feel just so self conscious and nervous….I don’t know how they do it…I don’t want to experience it either.

if it weren’t for the director and Copley, I doubt I would go see this movie based soley on cast, but District 9 remains one of my all time favorites so this has got to be at least a decent SF 🙂
Haha you guys are killing me with the Hilaria comments, I say they last a year after she pops out that kid and then she’ll move on to greener pastures. As for Matt’s wife, she seems really nice, and I would say raising 4 kids is a full time job (and I don’t have any).

I have absolutely nothing whatsoever against Lucy (how could I? As others pointed out, she never even says anything!) but physically she always always always makes me think of a mouse. I think it’s her wide-set eyes, sharp nose, and large-ish teeth.
Again, just an observation that always jumps in my head when I see her. From everything else I’ve read, she’s a very nice woman.

I don’t know why people are commenting on Luciana’s physical appearance. She is not a celebrity. Saying she looks like a mouse is rude.
Eh. I don’t really care. She a bartender who married incredibly well and is now very wealthy without having to work. I think having your appearance commented on may go along with that at times, particularly when you go to highly publicized and photographed event.
I love the Damons… especially since it occurs to me that I have no idea what their kids look like. That’s pretty impressive for a celeb of his stature.

I think she’s adorable. And what I love is even though Damon is an A-lister, he is a GREAT example that you can have the press stay out of your life as long as you live one as normal as possible. Others who claim they want “privacy” yet get papped all the time should take note.
