TMZ is in bed with the Kardashian Family. That much has been known for years. But what I think people forget is that just because TMZ is talking out of the ass of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, that doesn’t mean that they’re wrong. I recall TMZ’s exclusives about Kim Kardashian’s divorce to Kris Humphries, and almost all of them turned out to be completely correct, much to the dismay of all of the Kim-haters who wanted Basketball Humphries to take her down. What I’m saying is that it’s perfectly possible that Kris Jenner is leaking all of this damaging information about Lamar Odom AND that the damaging info is true.
As we discussed yesterday, TMZ has been reporting all weekend that Khloe and Lamar’s marriage is completely in crisis, that there are other women AND that Lamar has been using heavy drugs, like crack cocaine. Now TMZ says that Khloe and Lamar have separated and that Lamar went “missing” for several days. Here are some highlights from about a half-dozen stories:
*TMZ continues to say Lamar’s addiction was to crack and that he only made it three weeks in rehab before checking himself out. Apparently, the crack problem has been “raging” since the basketball season ended. An attempt at an intervention has failed too.
*TMZ reported yesterday that Lamar had “vanished” and that everyone was worried that he’s off on some crack bender. Khloe had thrown him out of the house on Wednesday and that no one had heard from him in 72 hours. But TMZ then updated with this: “We spoke to a rep for Lamar who says Lamar is fine, however he would not say anything about his whereabouts.”
*Khloe kept Lamar’s addiction a secret from her family for a long time, and she only told her sisters “recently” but she told Kris Jenner a while back. TMZ says:
Our sources say even when Khloe reached out for professional help — for example hiring private investigators to follow Lamar — she lied about the extent of the addiction. Our sources say Khloe told private investigators Lamar was addicted to ‘performance enhancing drugs’ and that’s why she needed their help. She never played the crack card.
When stories started to surface about Lamar sleeping with other women … and the family started asking questions … Khloe felt she needed to reveal the real issue.
As one source put it, “Khloe was a real trooper. She’s been living a nightmare.”
And now TMZ says Khloe and Lamar have separated but they haven’t made any moves towards divorce:
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are separated, but neither has taken any step toward divorce … sources tell TMZ.
Multiple sources familar with the situation tell us Khloe “effectively” declared separation when she threw Lamar out of the house Wednesday, after he refused her attempt at an intervention. TMZ broke the story … Lamar has had a crack addiction problem for at least 2 years, and Khloe simply couldn’t take it anymore.
We’re told Khloe made it clear if Lamar did not get help — the point of the intervention — she wanted nothing to do with him anymore.
But we are also told neither Khloe nor Lamar has consulted a divorce lawyer … at least not yet.
If and when they do file for divorce — which we’re told is likely — there won’t be much to fight over. Sources connected with the Kardashians tell us the couple signed a hard-fought prenup before they married.
We’re told Kris Jenner was right in the middle of the prenup battle because she wanted to protect her daughter — who tied the knot after a 4-week courtship.
Short story … the fat lady hasn’t sung yet, but she’s warming up.
I remember something about a prenup back when they were first married, but if I remember correctly, the prenup presupposed that Lamar would continue to have a lengthy career with the Lakers. During the marriage, though, Lamar’s career has faltered in a big way and Khloe has just been maintaining. Besides that, I don’t think money is the big concern here – believe it or not, I think Khloe genuinely loves Lamar and she wants to help him and stay married to him. I think her mom is telling her to cut her ties and call it a day. Which is not the worst advice Kris Jenner has ever given, you know?

Well, I´m not really a fan of the Kardashians and what they stand for, but I have to admit that I always had a soft spot for Khloe. If true, I just hope that he will get the help he needs and they somehow can work it out.
My soft spot for Khloe is completely gone as she is showing herself to be totally a part of the K-Klan famewhore machine.
And reaching out for professional help?? Psychiatrists, addiction counselors are professional help. A PI is what you “reach out to” to get proof of your cheating husband’s whoring ways to build your case for divorce.
Sadly Khloe has shown herself to be as phoney as the rest of them. Her role on the TV series? “nice girl”. And we all fell for it.

I don’t know anything about LO outside of the show, but I wish him the best. Hopefully if/when he gets away from the Kardashian group, he can get and stay clean.

Lamar and Khloe separated months ago – he’s been living at the Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Blvd. since June. This is more Kartrashian PR spin. Whether or not he has a drug problem, I have no clue, but he hasn’t hidden he’s cheating, that’s for sure.

Drug abuse is RAMPANT in professional sports, moat definitely including basketball. Their testing isn’t that stringent. And frankly, something has been OFF about LO for the last couple years, remember the disaster in Dallas?

In America, crack cocaine is a drug that “only black people do.” (cf. the last 30 years of America’s war on drugs and political talk shows) So *of course* it’s coming out from the Kardashian PR side that Lamar went “full black” and poor little Khloe was a real trooper but just can’t take it anymore. This story is all about distancing Khloe by making Lamar look trashy and low class.

His addiction has been going on for YEARS? …does the nba not drug test? How can it be going on for years? I’m sure him bouncing around from team to team they had to have drug tested him, no?
The NBA does test for drugs but the system is notoriously weak. If I’m not mistaken, I think non-rookies are tested maybe one time a year, and that’s it, and it isn’t particularly random, so if they have half a brain, they can pass the test. Even if Lamar has a drug problem, he could’ve easily skated by the testing. Heck, 1/2 to 3/4 of the league smokes weed on a regular basis. If the testing were stringent, there’d be no league.
The NBA isn’t the most vigorous testing agency out there. Even if they were, many players know the tricks to beat the test. I do think it’s a little sketchy, mostly because crack does a serious, major number on your body. How did Lamar maintain an acceptance level of fitness if he’s smoking crack? If he’s a huge user, like TMZ is alleging, he would probably have some degree of “crack lung” – a condition where lung capacity becomes limited and your lungs are inflamed. That kind of disease is pretty incompatible, to me, with playing a high-cardio sport like basketball. Something is fishy here.
Lamar is not the player that he once was. And you do get an energy charge from those types of drugs

I may be wrong here, but depending upon the type of drug test, pee or blood, crack does not stay in your system long (72 hours) and so it would be easy to test clean if he was not using while he was playing and if the testing was not super sophisticated in regard to looking for the by products of crack that stay in the system for longer…
The high from crack is apparantly very short – that is why users of it tend to use a lot, because they constantly “chase the high”, so to speak. Lamar is certainly not as good a player as he once was, but he is not terrible (at least not yet). And even a crappy NBA player is still better than an average ballplayer on the street. TMZ is also reporting that until this broke, the Clippers were set to offer him a return deal – so obviously, his skill isn’t all used up. I also find it tough to believe that he is alleged to be a very heavy user (smoking it) but can still maintain at least a minimal level of conditioning for practice (especially when he’d likely have the beginnings of the notorious “crack lung” disease most users get). If he is a crack addict, he is the luckiest one on Earth, to me, because he seems to largely be escaping it’s worst side effects. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s highly likely Lamar is a drug user – but my money would be on pills or designer drugs, not crack.

TMZ seems to be posting conflicting info. They initially said that Lamar is a long-term “hardcore” drug user. However, if he’s been using crack long-term, that is dubious – especially since he’d struggle to keep the very apparant physical signs at bay, especially as an athlete (I’m thinking of crack lung, in particular).
I feel for Khloe because, truthfully, my husband had some issues with drugs when our relationship was young (nothing as damning as crack, but not fun). I can totally understand the urge to stay and support him. I also feel for Lamar insofar as an addiction is a medical issue – and I would be incensed if my medical privacy was being violated by my mother in law and the tabloids. Personally, I think this should read as a precautionary tale about what can happen when you allow too many people into your marriage. This is Khloe and Lamar’s personal issue right now, and it’s a little gross to see the vultures circling.
Wasn’t there a blind about a couple who had problems because the guy didn’t like how his wife kept allowing other men to feel her up? I think people guessed it was Khloe and Lamar.

For everyone calling BS on this story, or at least the drug use part, I find it interesting that no PR agent for LO has come out and denied the drug allegations. That is PR-101. I think their silence speaks volumes in this case.
That might have something to do with the contracts he signed with the family/producers. I’m guessing there are some sort of clauses on top of the NDA. That, and they’ve got other stuff on him.
Has Lamar tried drugs? Very possibly. Is he hooked on them to the point that he’s become the liability the Kardashians are making him out to be? Doubtful.

They were telling some bizarre stories about Kim’s husbands (both of them) through “sources”. I don’t think it’s inconceivable that they would spin about this. Kris Jenner in particular seems to lack a conscience, and Khloe is a vengeful type. She might go along with mom on this one because she’s so angry with him and so hurt. Kim is a chronic liar, she would have no trouble saying whatever mom thought would be useful. The wild cards might be Kourtney and Rob, especially Rob. Oh, and Bruce maybe. I think Bruce has pretty much checked out of his marriage. He must be steamed about the cheating but I don’t know if he would go along with Mama Ten Percent’s vendetta. Time will tell.

Yup, I work for a law firm and we deal with criminal cases and one of my lawyers has a client that has been a heroin addict since the 60’s…yet he’s still alive and kicking. Mind you he is now considered handicapped because of the damage done to his body but up until 5 years ago he seemed like just a normal person…

I have a bit of a hard time imagining that Lamar could fly under the radar for any length of time as a serious drug addict. For one thing, a drug addict does not typically put much energy into “other women.” If drugs are really their main interest, that’s the central thing they do with their time. Other women could be a side effect, though. If he’s having affairs, that’s sufficient cause for Khloe to want a separation, isn’t it? Lamar doesn’t have to be on a drug bender to want to get away from that family—I might go on a bender for that myself.
I realize Lamar Odom is an athlete, but he would nearly have to be Hercules to maintain a serious consuming drug habit with his multiple affairs.
And can you really go “missing” when you’re being followed by detectives around the clock? That part of the story sounds the silliest.
It’s more likely that Kris Jenner, Puppet Master, is launching her usual character assassination of a man who enters their circle & doesn’t toe the company line. If their marriage is collapsing, Khloe must be the wronged woman & a “trooper” for enduring so much. And I don’t hate Khloe, I just think this sounds like the spin cycle on Kris Jenner’s machine.
We’ll see how Kanye West handles this nightmare of a family when they turn on him. I can’t see him going quietly.

Not too sure about the drug story. I do find it interesting that his PR people are not issuing statements left right and center that it’s not true. You’d think they’d be adamantly denying these allegations because they are pretty huge.

This marriage was never meant to last. She married him after knowing him what a month? She married him because at the time he was a Laker & had money. She was in love with his fame & money.
I’ll just chime in on one aspect of the PR matter with this, since I did work for an NBA team at a time when their most high-profile player was sidelined with a serious illness.
When something serious happens, particularly related to health where there are confidentiality matters to consider, Lamar Odom’s basketball management – that’s to say his agent and his sports PR people – who are separate from the Kardashian Klan, THOSE people would be hunkered down with the NBA and the team’s management, public relations and legal.
PMK would NOT be part of those discussions. Period. IF Khloe and Lamar were still on good terms, then as his wife she would be in the loop on those discussions. But I highly doubt she is, given the massive rumors that have been flying lately.
So, the silence from Odom’s camp could be damning, or it could simply be that they’re trying to figure out “what’s next” before issuing a public statement. (I guess that would be called damage control, in this case.)

People seem to forget that just because they don’t like the side that’s telling the story, that doesn’t mean that side is lying or wrong. Also misunderstanding addiction. Most drug addicts, hardcore or not, can function pretty well on a daily basis in their jobs and public life. A lot of them function extremely well. It’s their personal lives and relationships which suffer. And being a drug addict most certainly does not make one *less* likely to be a cheater.
Khloe is a bad as all the other kardashian’s. I Dint believe this because nba players get tested throughout the year so this would have turned up in a drug test.
Until I hear from Lamar’s camp that this is true, I will take it with a grain of salt. If it is true then I have lost all respect for the Kardashians as this was a low thing to do to him. Some things are meant to be kept quiet. I’m an optimist and yes, while I do not respect most of the things they do, there was still a little hope that things would change.

I always liked Khloe and Lamar together, and I believe she loves him very much and probably wants to save him and not divorce him, if at all possible. I also don’t think Khloe would allow these drug stories to just sit out there with no denial if they were not true. She pulled the plug on their show Khloe & Lamar well over a year ago, so I really do think she has been doing everything she could to help him and to keep it private as long as possible.

Dallas sports radio is reporting that Lamar has a crack cocaine habit and the family is with him trying to intervene for rehab. It appeared to me that he had always seemed depressed- maybe it was drugs. I hope he can get help
I think it is disgusting how they are leaking all this info to TMZ and Radar. They are so vile. This is a man’s career. You don’t need to run to the tabloids if you really cared about him if he truly has/had a drug problem. No other family funs to the press burying the guy and destroying his career. But, of course, we’re dealing with the Kartrashians and Momma Jenner.

It seems puzzling to me that the Kardashian-Jenners would leak this info to the media outlets knowing that if they do divorce, Lamar needs the ongoing income he would earn in the NBA to pay for the terms he agreed to in the prenup. the whole situation stinks to high heaven. Lamar is out there passing his Peen to every Joan, Trick, and Molly, and because of this, PMK had to take action to protect one of her prized possessions. PMK is his manager and probably is all mixed up in his PR as well. I do have a soft spot for Khloe: after all she’s the Kardashian that doesn’t quite “match” the others due to infidelity, despite PMK’s denials. It seems she too fell victim to the limelight that shines from the big behind of Kim. It may be Karma or whatever,but I don’t think anyone would want to be in a situation where their spouse and/or significant other is out there cheating in the public eye while “rocking up” on crack. SMH

This smacks of Kris Jenner, a sociopath. She does not care about Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and all the rest of the kin except how they can add to her power/wealth/whatever. It is all Kris all the time.
I feel as though the split has more to do with the infidelity than anything else. Not sure why this new spin has been angled. Look at Corey Monteith before his eventual demise, Lea was prepared to stand by him thick and thin throughout his rehab. When you love somebody, you do. This separation is to do with the infidelity. Full stop.
I feel sad for Kloe. I do think she is one of the more endearing Karshadians, and for a while Odom seemed to be such a good support in her life. I hope she can rise above all this.
re: Lamar may have a crack problem, very sad to hear that 🙁 I always liked him from the time would see or read about him. Hoping he can beat the addiction, despite the odds.
