Sandra Bullock says her son Louis demands ‘man time’ with his BFF George Clooney

Y’all know I wouldn’t mind seeing George Clooney and Sandra Bullock get together. Most of you disagree with me, but I’m still holding to that opinion – they would be fascinating and wonderful as a couple. Unfortunately, George didn’t care enough to come to Toronto to promote Gravity with Sandy, so in his absence, Sandy has been talking about their “20 year” friendship (for real?) and how her son Louis LOVES Clooney. This story made my day.

For the first time, Sandra Bullock and George Clooney have teamed up on the big screen, for their new space drama Gravity. Turns out, the two superstars are not just costars, but good pals, as well.

“George and I have known each other for over 20 years. We’ve known each other since we got out of college and we have the same group of friends,” the Oscar-winning actress, 49, told reporters at Monday’s Gravity press conference at the Toronto International Film Festival.

“We knew each other since we had no work,” she quips. Despite their subsequent fame and success, Bullock says Clooney, 52, has remained the same person except for one thing.

“He has better hair now!” she kids. “There’s less of it, which I appreciate. The big curls were cute, but you know … Really, he’s taken his blessed life and done amazing things with it.”

Bullock may adore The Monuments Men star, but the biggest Clooney fan is her 3½-year-old son, Louis.

“My son thinks he’s a very cool dude. If there was a choice between me and George and [director] Alfonso [Curaón], my son will leave to go with George and the guys,” she says. “He’s a boys’ boy – he has to go and talk to the men.”

Recently, little Louis even requested to have some male-bonding time.

“He asked, ‘Where’s George and Rande [Gerber]?’ I’m like, ‘What? I don’t know.’ He goes, ‘I need them.’ We went to meet with them and they had man time. I stood off to the side and waited for them to finish,” she says with a laugh, “and then I was allowed to take him back.”

The proud mom appreciates Clooney’s willingness to spend time with her son.

“George is a good man, and I’m really proud to have known him for this time and the human being he’s become,” she said. “He’s a good egg.”

“We went to meet with them and they had man time. I stood off to the side and waited for them to finish…” How cute is that? I want photos of Louis and Clooney bonding. I would pay top dollar for photos of George carrying Louis and maybe teaching him how to do a “man thing”. Like, play football or poker or something. Why can’t George be in Louis’s life permanently? WHY?

Here are some photos of Sandy at yesterday’s photocall for Gravity at TIFF. Her dress is Roland Mouret. I like how Sandy has been wearing some really bold colors for this press tour! The dress is decent – it looks good on Sandy’s figure. The shoes are wrong though.

    Her figure is amazing.

    • Andrea says:

I see we have the same name I guess I will go as Andrea1 from now to avoid confusion… She does look great but I don’t know I think there is something off about her face and oh she has great legs!

    • JudyK says:

Agree about something being off about her face and mentioned that yesterday. Whatever she’s done, I hope she stops NOW.

Love the dress and LOVE those shoes…are you kidding! From the side view, they are killer. And she has a killer bod.

Also love Louis and was disappointed there was no pic of him w/ this article. He’s such a little cutie.

      • Andrea1 says:

Yes I really hope she stops! I understand that there would be pressure as one ages in hollywood to stay young and to get juicy roles but one shouldn’t succumb to touching the face.. Cos it always ends up bad!

    • Justpassingby says:

She did not always have the best figure. I remember reading some interviews c. 10 year ago about her weight struggles. She grew way better and more beautiful with age…

      • janie says:

I think it’s her nose & lips… she’s had work done. I love her & her face was perfect! She has a fabulous figure. I’d love to see her & Clooney hook up, but I think they’ve been there & done that.

    • Stef Leppard says:

      +1

She looks ridiculous! In a good way.
The dress is okay. It looks a little budget, like it came from H&M, but her bod is so rockin’ that it doesn’t matter.

  2. blue marie says:

I would love to see photos of George and Louis, too cute. Anyway Sandra looks good.

  3. Holly says:

I’d like the shoes if they weren’t nude. Ugh.

  4. Ace says:

Arent there adorable pap photos of George talking to Sandy then pausing to take pics of something cute Louis was doing???

Tell me I didnt imagine those because honestly my love for CloonBull may well have turned me into a delusional fangirl with strange imaginings.

  5. Mirella says:

I want to see pictures of George & Louis! Sandra looks amazing.

  6. Mia 4S says:

I guess the point is since they’re friends he is in Louis’ life permanently. Much more likely to last than a Hollywood romance.

    • lem says:

exactly. Clooney and Bullock being friends instead of romantic ensures that he’ll be in Louis’s life for a long time to come.

  7. Liz says:

I love her colour block dresses, just gorgeous.

  8. chloe says:

What amazes me the most out of this story is that Sandy is 49, she looks great. I’m excited for her and this movie, I don’t know why it’s necessary to give her cheating, gross ex a post before hers though:(

  9. LadyMTL says:

I ADORE that dress, I wish I had one though yes, I would wear different shoes.

And why am I not surprised that Louis wants George time? I’d love to see pics of that.

  10. bowers says:

George doesn’t want a woman who is his equal.

  11. Hypocrisy says:

I always thought that george clooney would be a great dad.

If only he wasn’t traumatized by his first marriage…

    • T.C. says:

      Me too.

    • Sara says:

Ofcourse George was “traumatised” by a four year marriage twenty years ago. It cant just be that he is just not suited to monogamy and knows it. Something must have happened to him because god knows we should all want exactly the same things out of life.

    • lenje says:

Didn’t his co-star in The Departed claim that he would never fit as a father? (Amusing)

  12. Vesta says:

If Clooney should happen to come his senses, he would take Sandy. I would just love to see that couple. But knowing the old dog George, I cannot see that ever happening…

    • DT says:

      OK. This is very cute.

    • Justpassingby says:

      Yes, yes, yes!
He looks way better, more relaxed and happier next to her than he did next to any of his recent ex-GFs…

      • crtb says:

ITA: he looks like he has found peace.
There must be so much pressure for an older man to try and keep up with a pretty young thing. It must be exhausting. He would be such a wonderful father to this little boy. They make a spectacular family.

  13. SolitaryAngel says:

Oh, I LOVE that dress! At first glance, in the first pic, I didn’t like the shoes either. Then I looked at all of the pics and I see what she was trying to do with the nude-look shoes/black accents and I love it. Her legs/body are killer!

I would love to see little Louis with George too. 🙂

  14. TG says:

How does anyone see Sandy and George romantically? Both of them always give out friend vibes never anything sexual.

    • bluhare says:

For a nice looking woman, Sandra Bullock is strangely asexual looking. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a photo of her where she looks sexy. Good, yes. Sexy, no.

  15. Justme says:

I LOVE the bright colors she’s been wearing lately. And I ALWAYS love her hair. Something is off about her face lately, but not sure what (looks stiff at times when she smiles). She’s looks amazing for 49, great body and the only thing that gives away her age is her neck (funny how some gals get the wrinkly neck and others not not so much).

  16. pnichols says:

    LOOOOOVE her!!

  17. Tara says:

    What happened?

  18. Tania says:

After reading the Julia post, then this, it just struck me there will be a fight for best actress and it would be awesome for Julia to lose to Sandy!

    • Common Sense says:

I was thinking the same thing, it would awesome if they went head to head. It would make the award season interesting, usually I am not interested but I will definetly follow them.Obviously I would want Sandra to win; I have nothing against Julia though.

  19. Helvetica says:

They need to hook up. They are in the same league.

  20. Sandra says:

I love the shoes, they are perfect – the whole look is perfect. I want that whole ensemble.

  21. Kim1 says:

Cute story but I have a problem with children calling adults by their first name Mr George, Uncle George, Brother George, etc never just George

    • Trek Girl says:

I see what you’re saying, but that’s for the adult they are addressing and the child’s parent to decide.

If they say it’s ok, then it’s ok.

  22. Liberty says:

Q: Why can’t George be in Louis’s life permanently? WHY?

A: “He asked, ‘Where’s George and Rande [Gerber]?’

    • Kim1 says:

You are bad, George and Rande are just friends.Rande is happily married to beautiful, sexy Cindy Crawford

    • Pandy says:

That’s exactly what I thought … interesting that Louis groups George and Rande together … like a couple! “Gooney”??

    • Bridget says:

Rande is pretty well known as a slut-bag, too… Lots of cocktail waitress types. Seriously, CINDY CRAWFORD’s husband.

  23. KellyInSeattle says:

Just the pic of him looking down her dress; priceless.

  24. TherapyCranes says:

I love the dress but I agree the shoes don’t match. I’ve always liked Sandy but I didn’t love her until she adopted a child from her own country. I love that she raised awareness about the homeless children in america.

    • Kath says:

Seriously? So if she’d adopted a child orphaned by a horrible African civil war you would have thought less of her than if she’d adopted a kid from New Orleans?

What does it matter where the kid comes from? There are orphaned and unwanted children all over the planet.

  25. Common Sense says:

    Awww Cute story 🙂

  26. Tiffany says:

I know people are saying that George is blowing off TIFF but isn’t he filming a movie and that is why is not there. Just not seem like the kind of thing for him to do. He is a pro when it comes to that stuff.

  27. Holden says:

It’s cute but it kind of breaks my heart that he has to ask for it.

  28. The Original Mia says:

I think that’s adorable Louis wants man time with George and that George gave it to him. Cute!

  29. Claudia says:

Yup, Clooney is filming elsewhere. I would love to see them as a couple, this story only solidifies that! …But it would never happen. Even if either of them were interested, I don’t think they would gamble with their friendship like that. Sigh.
