Norman Reedus of The Walking Dead had a fan send him her breast implant

I miss The Walking Dead a lot. I miss it so much I’ve been playing the video game, which is too violent and creepy for me, and have been trying to catch up with the comic books. (When a character I loved got axed last year I put them aside for a while.) That’s why I was so excited to see a new interview with Norman Reedus in US Magazine. This reminded me that Walking Dead returns on October 13th, plus I got to stare at my favorite character for a while. Reedus plays redneck Daryl on the show, a reluctant hero who can often be seen wielding a crossbow. In Us, Reedus gives us some insight into his character, and talks about the fate of Daryl and Carol. Many of us have been rooting for those two to get together. (Warning, there are spoilers for the TV show in this interview so stop reading now if you’d like to avoid them.) He also dropped the detail that he regularly rides a motorcycle to work. Hot.

On his fans
“A girl sent me her breast implant!” he says. “I use it as my phone cradle in my trailer.” The single actor, 44, shoots straight with Us.

How has a not-so-good guy become such a leader?
Daryl found a sense of self worth through these people. he’s evolved quite a bit. he doesn’t want to look into your eyes and hear about your feelings, but he’ll do whatever he has to do to keep you alive.

Do you worry about getting killed off?
We’re all at risk. [Producers] make a point to put that fear in all of us.

Fans want Daryl to hook up with Carol (Melissa McBride)!
Well, that’s tricky. It’s not one of those relationships where you throw each other up against a tree in the moonlight. It has to play all the awkward moments and really mean something. When Daryl and Carol happens, it’s going to be great.

Any zombie envy?
Hell no! I don’t want to give the writers any ideas. Plus, you’re under so much makeup, and it’s really hot in Georgia with a lot of bugs.

Shooting in Atlanta sounds rough.
No, I love being out here in the country. I ride a motorcycle to work. I’ve been watering my garden the whole time we’ve been talking!

[From US Magazine, print edition, September 23, 2013]

Which one of you sent Reedus your breast implant? I bet we can find that woman, and she’ll be thrilled beyond belief that he’s using it to hold his phone.

Now I want to see some paparazzi photos of Reedus riding to work on his motorcycle. He’s so hot on his bike in the show, I bet he’s even better cleaned up and wearing leather.

Spoilers continue
As for his character’s relationship with Carol, I get the impression that Daryl wants to protect her but that he doesn’t want to get too attached. Reedus said as much in this interview. Everyone thought Carol was dead when she went missing and then Daryl ended up finding her alive. Daryl just dealt with losing his brother and he probably doesn’t want to open up to anyone for a while. That might just lead to more pain and loss. Reedus just said that a Daryl and Carol relationship is a foregone conclusion though, right? I do think its coming and I can’t wait.

Here’s the latest Walking Dead promotional video. I think this just came out yesterday. Warning: this is gruesome as usual and of course there are spoilers.

And here’s the trailer for season 4, which you may have already seen.

I really love him so so much but he really needs a haircut! It looks Bieberish and just not flattering. It’s always funny watching WD and seeing his perfectly straightened hair.

I can NOT wait for the new season to start. I really miss this show when its not on.

I may be the only one but I cant say Im into the whole Daryl and Carol line. I think their chemistry always seemed more motherish or big sisterish than romantic.

    • Ginger says:

I agree. Daryl needs someone to make him smile (occasionally)

    • Lipsy says:

NO to Daryl and Carol. I like that they care for each other, but if they get romantically involved… NO.

I don’t want any forced storyline where a beautiful young survivor shows up at camp and Daryl falls for her either, but keep Daryl single and sexy, I’ll be fine LOL.

The Daryl/Carol thing seems so one-sided to me. He cares about her but not in the way she seems to care about him imo.

  3. Sharra55 says:

You should check out his instagram and twitter. He is always posting the most amazing pictures! So hot!

  4. Darkladi says:

The top picture makes me want to live through the zombie apocalypse. So rough, so dirty, so mmm

  5. Jen says:

I don’t know how I feel about these actors who indulge their fans like this (Reedus, Hiddleston, etc.). Because, yes, of course it’s very nice and shows appreciation for your fans who provide your livelihood, but at the same time, talking about it like it’s cute encourages this creepy behavior in grown women. No bueno.

  6. Ginger says:

Carol is more his mother, telling him to be good and stuff. She was instrumental in making Daryl the better man he’s become, but that’s not romantic, even though Carol obviously wants Daryl. I think this won’t end we if it happens

  7. Sigh says:

I too was very sad about that death in the comics. 🙁

  8. Maria says:

good thing with Breaking Bad ending is that Walking Dead will be on again.

  9. j.eyre says:

If you put a silicon implant in the freezer, it is excellent relief for joint pain.

  10. Gretchen says:

Now this is all I can think about “throw each other up against a tree in the moonlight”, maybe not with Carol, Norman, but I’m game.

So excited this series is coming back soon! In other happy news it looks like the cast might be getting a bit more diverse, finally. I won’t get too excited just yet as the show has a habit of giving POC characters less lines, less character development/arcs and speedier deaths, but hopefully the show’s creators have taken this fairly common criticism on board and are working to change it.

    • Happyhat says:

Like T Dog, for example. I was surprised he even lasted into the third season, seeing as he had hardly anything to do or say in the second season. Which was a shame, as he was a good character.

  11. jessica says:

    oh Norman Reedus… hawtness!! SWOON!!

  12. juls says:

1 month to go! I get goosebumps just thinking about it!

  13. mom2two says:

I love this guy. More Reedus, less Fassbender, Cumberbatch and Hiddleston in this column.
Norman Reedus is a pretty interesting guy off screen and he is great in the Walking Dead.

  14. Delia says:

Only ship I cannot wait to happen is Michonne and Rick!! Yes please!

  15. TherapyCranes says:

The video game was great and definitely deserved the GOTY awards. I wish the show had more zombies and less drama but that’s just me. I love Daryl.

  16. TheyPromisedMeBeer says:

If anyone else had said that a fan sent him an implant, I’d be worried for that actor, but his use for it cracked me up. So casual – oh yeah, totally letting my iPhone 5C chill on this here double D.

    (Boondock Saints forevs, y’all)

  17. Kemper says:

Daryl needs a dog or puppy. And the breast implant story is old news for TWD fans. Love Daryl. Cannot wait for October.

  18. sarah says:

    HURRY UP OCTOBER 13!!!

  19. Pants says:

Besides being utterly delicious, I met him and he is SO NICE. Friendly and chatty, what a dream! LOVE HIM!!

Gah!! Thanks for the spoiler alert. I won’t read the article but I am enjoying the top picture immensely. :)))))

  21. RobN says:

I don’t care who gets together so long as we’ve seen the last of ghost Lori.

  22. tifzlan says:

D’Angelo AND Cutty in a tv show again omg now i am even MORE excited for this new season!!!!

  23. d says:

Oh my God, Darryl. I love that character…my all time favourite. I love the show. I have to get season 3 so I can get caught up. I wouldn’t mind if he and Carol got together – I think it might be one of those good short term relationships (YES, I’m projecting, what of it?!). The actor is good too. I think he might be one of the few actors that if I ever meet, I’d be reduced to a sweating mess.

  24. A says:

    Can’t wait!!
    He’s so manly, I want!

  25. penguin says:

I really hate it when people say carol’s too old for Daryl or a mother figure. Melissa McBride is only 3 yrs older than Norman Reedus in real life.
