I honestly don’t know what’s going on with Rihanna. These are photos of RiRi looking pained while performing at a Sunday post-Grand Prix concert in Singapore. She’s wearing an oversized t-shirt that may or may not be themed for the race. Whatever the case, it’s not a flattering look, but Rihanna hasn’t been much for flashing the flesh lately. I definitely noticed last month when she started dressing down and stopped begging for attention. One of the comments to said post joked how Miley Cyrus might have scared the pants back onto RiRi. It’s possible.
Anyway, Rihanna was slammed for forgetting words to her own songs in Singapore where she seemed “high.” (Higher than usual?) She’s in Australia right now where she earned terrible reviews for her Wednesday show. Supposedly RiRi acted “disinterested,” slurred her words, and ignored her own singles in favor of “that reggae sh-t.” All of which made for an unimpressed and “bored” audience. These reports come on the heels of RiRi’s gross tweets about going out to an adult club in Phucket where strippers shot darts out their hoo-has.
Rihanna is set to appear on the 100th episode of Alan Carr’s crazy-ass Chatty Man show (Channel 4 in the UK). Maybe she pre-taped the episode since she’s on tour. RiRi claims to be done with the party scene. She also says she doesn’t get laid. Hmm:
She’s tired of clubbing & partying: “Recently I’ve become a square. I hate partying. I don’t know if it’s my heels — I don’t like standing up in my heels for hours. I don’t know if it’s that, but I’ve been so bored of it. I don’t know if it’s because it’s the same music every night — maybe we need some more DJs.”
Never say never: “I love what I do and I’ve got a lot to celebrate. So you’ll catch me celebrating every once in a while, because I work hard.”
She’s not getting any action these days: “I am such a bootleg rock star, I do nothing, literally. ‘’m embarrassed to say that actually. That’s so disgusting. That’s f—ing pathetic. I tell you, I’m a bit of a square recently. Don’t feel bad for me, I’m good.”

What I’m gathering from these quotes is RiRi basically sits around hotel rooms and gets baked. More baked than usual if her shows are any indication. I guess this is preferable to landing in the hospital after the Met Gala. It’s also been about a year since she trashed a nightclub and pulled the “Don’t you know who I am?” card. I guess baked Rihanna seems preferable to drunk RiRi.
As for Rihanna’s claims of never getting any action, that’s probably true while she’s on tour. I never know whether Rihanna is off or on with Drake. She was rumored to have been dating A$AP Rocky (and kisses him in his new video), but who knows.

I used to give Rihanna a pass cause of her youth, but using your wealth to shade somebody like she did with this Taylor chick is uncool.

Teyana made a much bigger deal out of that fight than necessary. Rihanna can be an asshole, but she didn’t seem to be taking it as seriously as Teyana was.
I feel like if you come for me unnecessarily, or without provocation, i can make as big a deal out of it as I want. Standard bullies, talk crap then back up and say “get over yourself”, and then continue to bully or harass. And Rihanna’s team does that ALL the time. Good for Teyana for not backing down.

Teyana was definitely justified in going after Ri this time, because this particular incident was unprovoked but you can tell that she’s been wanting to go off on Ri for a while. She took it ran with it, she even called a radio station yesterday to talk about it.

Rihanna unknowingly confirmed her own sleeping around a while back. Back when her an Chris Brown were doing the on/off thing, she unfollowed him on Twitter after he tweeted something like “she’s not yours if she’s everybody else’s.” He made no mention of names or anything (as if people didn’t know), but still.
The whole Ciara started when Ciara went on Fashion Police and recounted a story about how Rihanna was rude to her at an award show. It was a complete non sequitur that even had Joan looking at her like “WTF”?

I have such mixed feelings about Rihanna. There are things about her that I dislike and that make want to not like her- the taking back of Chris Brown, and some things that she has said to and about people. But I also like some of her music, some of her style, and have a love/hate relationship with her attitude.
I wish her well though, and I hope she doesn’t end up messing up or ruining her life.
That’s sort of how I feel about her. She does a lot of things I hate, but I can’t hate her. Maybe I’m seeing a light that isn’t there, but there’s just something about her that makes me feel protective or fond of her in spite of herself. Not that she would care one way or the other, I’m sure.
I think that she has been on a spiral for a long time, which is a shame cause I think she is a decent talent and combined with that face she’s gold. Unfortunately I’m sure she surrounds herself with lackeys and yes men and there’s no one there to slap a bit of sense into her.
I really Like Rihanna but I have to agree with you. Why does this only happen to the women? Rihanna hasn’t been right since CB, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake..She was never the same after they broke up. She’s touring in Australia? I had no idea she was here. Pink has been touring here for weeks and it was a HUGE deal. Pink is probably the most popular pop star in Australia. RiRi can’t compete.
Perth yesterday, Adelaide today. The hoopla about One Direction has probably shadowed her visit.
Pink is massive here, mostly because she puts on enough shows that everyone gets to see her – this tour it’s 45 shows!
I don’t really understand how they figure out the money for short tours. It’s bloody expensive to come to Perth. Ticket sales for a single concert wouldn’t cover the cost of shipping everything/everyone over. Theoretically it’d gain her increased album sales, but how can you be sure? Pink’s multiple-show strategy seems to be much sounder economics.
She was 1 hour and 45 mins late for the Adelaide show apparently! Reactions on fb are very negative, sounds like a mess. I saw her here in adelaide last time she came and she was actually not bad (I got my tickets for free though so wasn’t expecting much), wonder what’s happened?

She’s showing less skin cos she’s in singapore – I’m pretty syre Bey did the same the other day too – not sure if it’s some sort of religious dress code thing.
Nah I think she just couldn’t be bothered to dress up. Singaporean here. Christianity and Islam over here is pretty moderate so there’s not much fuss over Western or Eastern artistes sexing it up. Indonesia and Malaysia are stricter. Even the local Chinese majority artistes dress more risqué than what she was wearing.
Friends who watched her concert in Manila said her show was lackluster, she phoned it in the whole time. Same can be said in her Singaporean leg. Shame, she has a huge fanbase in Asia.
Interesting, she’s playing in my home town tonight where she went on nearly an hour and a half late and completely drunk so I call bs on no more partying…
She’s just trying to save face. I don’t know, I feel like she crossed the line into crazy recently. Like Lauren Hill crazy. Sinead O’Connor crazy. I think her behaviour is reflective of a massive underlying problem. I don’t even see her as attractive anymore. I just see huge issues. It’s too bad.
Drugs and depression.
I saw her a couple of years ago and it was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. I liked her music before the concert but seeing her live blew my mind. I saw Lady Gaga the same summer and it didn’t come close. She had the arena spellbound. It was something else. The only other performer I’ve seen who had that same ability to have a giant arena in the palm of his hand is Prince. I’m not comparing her to Prince the legend, but the woman’s got chops.

It’s so sad to say this, but if Rihanna don’t slow it down with all the drugs/drinking/partying, we all will be reading about her in the likes of how we read about Amy Winehouse/Whitney Houston.
I can see how she could be burned out, because I think she’s been partying for at least the past 6 or 7 years straight, lol. After I graduated from high school and kind of escaped my crazy strict parents clutches, I think I partied at least 4 times a week for about 3 years straight. Tuesday night parties, Thursday nights karaoke, Sunday nights gay bar, I was there. I got burned out, stopped clubbing for a few years, then last year I started partying again, lmao. She really might really just be taking a break from people and from the club right now. It happens.
I went to her show in 2011 and wasn’t impressed. Then I went to a Beyonce’s show and saw what’s like to watch a real performer.
I never know how celebrities “take a break.” Like what do they do? Do they just go back and party? Is there nothing they can do that can occupy their time? Like a hobby? a Skill? something besides vacationing in the south of france.
