Here are photos of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West in Paris this weekend. I think I’m including one photo of their layover in San Francisco, that’s the pic where Kanye looks like he’s about CAPS-LOCK someone’s head. Surprisingly (or not), Kim and Kanye did not bring little North West to Paris. Because a baby would get in the way, I guess. They had to attend some fashion events and mama had to pose for the paps!
Kim Kardashian is missing her little girl! The reality star and boyfriend Kanye West landed in Paris after flying in a private plane Friday, Sept. 27 — leaving daughter North at home in Los Angeles. The first-time mom was upset to leave North, 3 months, behind for the first big getaway. (Though Kardashian did just pick up a passport for North in L.A. on Sept. 18.)
“Kim was sad to say goodbye,” a source tells Us Weekly. “This is the first time she’s been away from the baby.”
Kardashian, 32, and West, 36, checked in at the George V Hotel Saturday morning. The couple were photographed with West draping his arm around the reality star heading out to a meeting.
Kardashian showed off her post-baby body in a woolen overcoat, a grey t-shirt and leggings with lace up boots. She also held on to a panama hat during the outing. The rapper wore a white t-shirt, ripped jeans and a gold chain.
The duo got straight to business. Kardashian and West met and was escorted into the Givenchy offices by former French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld, now the editor of CR Fashion Book. The pair also plan to take in plenty of runway shows at Paris Fashion Week, which began a few days ago on Tuesday, Sept. 24.
“I spend 80 percent of my time working on [fashion] and 20 percent of my time working on music,” the “Stronger” star told Zane Lowe in a headline-grabbing BBC Radio 1 interview Sept. 26. “Why do you think the song ‘N—as in Paris’ is called ‘N—as in Paris’? Because n—as was in Paris! That’s why we were in Paris. I’ve put in the 10,000 hours.”
Since Kanye was back in the city he loves with his BFF (and perhaps lover?) Riccardo Tisci, Yeezus was in a much better mood. When he was approached by a paparazzo, he politely (!) told the guy, “No conversation. Please.” And then he said something about respecting the guy – go here to see the video. It’s a brand new Yeezus!
As for Kim and her hair and all of that… blah. Her hair looks awful. But her body looks fine. I know some of you have a conspiracy theory about liposuction and while I wouldn’t put it past her (at all), she looks like she’s been working out a lot and dieting too. I don’t begrudge her a weekend away from the baby, although I don’t think it bodes well for Kim’s future interest in motherhood. It reminds me of poor Mercy the Kitty, actually.

Eh idk. People feel differently about traveling with babies/kids. I have friends who have never taken a vacation without their kids & they are 5! My parents went on an oversees vacation without me when I was 6 mos. I’m kind of in between-if we’re going to visit family or of it’s a laid back beach vacation then baby comes, but if we’re going on a vacation/trip that my one year old is not going to appreciate (Europe, NYC) she won’t be coming-mostly because her schedule will be so disrupted that it won’t be fun for any of us. But I guess I also don’t have the $ for a full time nanny to stay in the hotel during nap time, etc.
Has anyone else noticed that her makeup has changed? It’s softer now-look around her eyes. It’s like Kanye has made her into his fembot. So weird.

It takes a truly gifted colorist to take a natural dark brunette to blonde.
Sadly, Kim did not use one of those. Her color looks awful against her skin. That is a tragic shade of blonde on her.

Leaving your first baby for an extended time at 3 months old is fairly extreme. Time away is a great and necessary thing, but that baby is so very new, especially since she is a first time mom.
Especially if you’re leaving baby for a pap walk. Moms need a break, but a vacation to Paris when your baby is so young?? And I’m sure she had tons of breaks in California; she does not strike me as a hands-on mom and has been seen plenty of times without the baby. Most moms I know would have to be pried away from their infant.

Oh come on. I’ve had two sons, the oldest is in college now and we’re best friends. I left him for a weekend trip to Pensacola to marry his father. My mother came along, he stayed with my dad – he was two weeks old. Calm down. My second son, I had to go back to work when he was 8 weeks old. We all lived to tell the tale. A weekend in Paris, give her a break. She’s taking a fun trip with her daughter’s father/her boyfriend. I’m sure North (dumb name, but whatev) is in good hands. So tired of mommy-shaming.
I know! Grocery shopping, as relaxing as it is, it’s also stressful when you’re away from your baby. I can’t imagine a few days without my son. I’d be a wreck.
I understand that being a new mom can be overwhelming but I was suprised and a little dissapointed to see Kim leaving her very young 3month old baby (who was born prematurely at 35wks and some days so that baby is actually less than 3 months)and take a break in paris? Not cool at all! Was she just in love with the idea of ‘having a partner’ and ‘having a baby’ rather than doing the actual work of Motherhood.Her family should try to be honest with her once in a while.Chloe and Courtney would NEVER do that…EVER!
I think you guys are being picky here. We’ve seen waaay less of Kim then anyone would have thought since North’s birth. Mothers go back to work at 6 weeks to 3 months usually. This is part of their business, along with making appearances.
Basically, celebs do this all the time, often at a larger extent than just a weekend away. Yet only the less popular ones are criticized for it. Not only that, but in the real world, mothers go out for business and pleasure frequently as “a break” away from their kids. And I’m one of those moms that stays at home with mine and is only way from my kids to go shopping. But I don’t criticize the many other mothers that couldn’t or wouldn’t want to stay home with their kids, even if they could afford to do so.
Mom and dad going to Paris for a several days, leaving the 3 month old first baby is unusual. I was fine leaving my first with her dad for work travel, but we were never gone at the same time that first year.
I doubt you and your husband were a celebrity power couple with multi million dollar fashion empires either. The point is, not to compare my life to yours, because we are different.
There’s nothing at all wrong with getting away for a few days without the baby. She’s going to be well fed, cuddled by others who are obviously trusted and she’s going to be happier in her own environment. I can’t believe people make such a big deal out of it. The baby will be fine and won’t need major therapy when she’s an adult…relax.
Kcaia, lifestyle/celebrity/money are irrelevant, imo. It’s a mother child separation thing – maternal instincts and the anxiety of being across the ocean from your child (esp when it’s your first baby only 3 ms old). I don’t think it’s damaging to the child or anything, but I am surprised that the mom is comfortable with it.

I agree I couldn’t imagine leaving my newborn. A flight from Paris to LAX is approximately 11 hrs. I took a weekend getaway when my daughter was six months old but I was 3 hours away by car,less than hour away by plane.Houston to Austin
I can’t imagine a life where I send my children to daycare, and/or go out by myself or with friends every weekend without them. But that doesn’t make those that do bad or worse parents than me. The most important thing I hope to teach my children is to empathize, relate to and do for others, not just those who we, personally, deem worthy. Ironically, that in itself was the key to finding peace and happiness with myself.
Add on: Anname, the whole article is that she is not comfortable with it, but this is her career and her child, and we have to make tough choices in life. Would it be fair if I were to say you should have quit your job or found one that didn’t require you to travel, when your child was young, just because I made the decision to stay home?
I am not telling anyone what to do, it’s just my opinion, not an absolute. But I don’t think her career would have suffered to skip a trip to Paris at this point. She can get just as much attention in CA to continue her reality career.

I had a baby 10 days before kim… I couldn’t go to Paris but I would be okay leaving him with his grandparents (second parents) for a weekend. I would miss him horribly (as Kim probably does – you cannot help it!) but I would still take a weekend trip if offered.
also, I’m a stay at home mom at the moment and you do get bored! i’m with my son 24/7 & incredibly hands on… I love him more than life but I do understand. shit. we have just begun taking him to meet family or out to dinner & that is a world of chaos in itself – I couldn’t imagine bringing little one on a trip!!!
Being a stay at home Mom in our world is a totally different thing than in hers. I highly doubt she is hands on 24/7, and if and when she travels with the baby she has an entourage to help her. I also don’t think she is the one getting up for those late night/early morning feedings. Kim needs her beauty sleep.

my situation is so different than it was a year ago: I lived in atlanta, had been working as a hairstylist for 10 years, same boyfriend for 4… SURPRISE pregnancy, man couldn’t deal, my boss fired me cos I’d missed a few days due to my gma dying & morning sickness, I moved an hour and a half away back home & in with my parents doing hair occasionally. what a huge change!!! I wouldn’t change having my son for anything but it is amazing what a tiny child will bring about in changes.
Oh I know full well the changes a surprise pregnancy can bring! When my surprise pregnancy occurred with my first, I was abandoned by someone I had been with 4 years 6 months into it. Devastating to say the least. But I felt she was meant to be, and big changes occurred in my life and put me on a path that led me to the man who would wind up being my husband. He ALWAYS looked at her as his daughter and has been in her life since she was 2. When pregnant with my son I was in a car accident and my job fired me for not coming to work! I needed to be a stay at home Mom for him anyway (he’s an ADD/Asperger’s child) so it worked out. I believe things happen for a reason, and you may not see it now, but you will.
My friend is a hair dresser and does a lot of side jobs outside of the salon. Maybe you could establish somewhat of a following and have clients come to your home, or you go to theirs. She does very well earning extra cash doing that.
And yes, it would be SO nice to have help, especially with the housework! But nothing replaces being a hands on Mom.

leaving an infant child for a few days with his/her grandparents while the parents go on a couples trip isn’t extreme. I was about 4 months old the first time my parents left me with my maternal grandmother and went to Florida for a week though they came back early. besides premature babies like North was aren’t supposed to travel long distances because their lungs are weaker and they’re more susceptible to colds ear infections and respiratory infections. ask Faith Hill her oldest daughter Gracie was born at the same gestational age as North was and often had ear infections as a young child but eventually grew out of it. then there’s her youngest daughter Audrey who had them more severely because she came at 32 weeks due to life threatening complications

You do know that it’s better for a small baby to stay in a familiar and calm environment as opposed to taking an extremely stressful (for a newborn) flight and being in a noisy environment such as airport?
And seriously, if it were some other woman (such as Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock etc) everyone would be commending them that it’s a good idea to go on a short getaway to relax and recharge. However since it’s Kim now everyone’s screaming how she’s a horrendous mother just for this only reason.
And ok, I get it: YOU personally wouldn’t do that. You wouldn’t go away, you’d only breastfeed etc… But this is only you and that does NOT make other moms who make different choices any worse than you.
Also, as someone else pointed out, plenty of women in US go back to work after 6 or so weeks and their babies end up in day care with way less individual care for them that North gets.

Just because someone becomes a mom does not mean they are above reproach. I see bad and selfish moms all the time. It might be too soon to know how terrible a mother Kim is or will be but considering she can do nothing without being controlled by her mommy or Kanye some who I don’t see her being a good mom. It takes the ability to be strong and stand up for your child and Kimmy doesn’t have that. But miracles are possible who would have thought Katie Holmes would of had the courage to protect her daughter from a monster father and cult so there is hope that Kimmy will do the same.

Well, in most cases private planes have to land in the common airports (unless the owners also own a private landing area).
And again, no matter how many nannies there are, the flight itself would be stressful for a baby (you end up flying few thousand kilometers above the ground, not to mention the discomfort during the take off and landing). It’s a newborn. The baby is better off in a calm and familiar environment.
Also, it might be very overwhelming for a mother to deal with the life changes after the first child. No matter how much help you have, there are always considerable changes. It’s not a bad thing to take a few days off, esp when the baby has as much care left as North has.
Also, yes it is a gossip site. Therefore I do judge Kim on her horrible outfits, famewhoring, mommy-attachment, stupid comments etc. But ridiculing these things is completely different rather than saying “well, I wouldn’t do this in particular, therefore since she does it, she is a bad mother”. I’m starting to like Kim more now that she’s given birth. She seems much more laid back. I like the fact that she’s wearing minimal (as it gets for her) makeup without her spidery eyelashes or fake cat claw nails or circulation stopping heels. A baby isnt even going to know who you are in 3 weeks. A baby needs the bond of one on one. A personal relationship with their significant other, their mother. Well, dads have traditionally been separated for very long periods from their babies (business trips, military service, jobs away from home) and nobody complains about it. In this case, the aunts and uncles and grandpa are close at hand (not counting grandma, the kid is better off without her…) and she’ll have her normal routine with her normal nannies who probably are more familiar than mom anyway. The kid will probably not even notice that a couple of people who drift in and out of her life are gone for a while, she’s surrounded by plenty of others she knows as well or better.

The results take her further and further away from the beauty she once was. Obviously, hair colour is temporary, but the others are permanent.
No fillers aren’t permanent.They only last for a certain amount of time depending on what you got and how much.Her lips look better.I guess she even knew how she kept insisting how stupid her pregnancy lips looked and didn’t get a touch up.Khloe has taken that over.Her upper lip is huge!!Her nose does look different and that is permanent.She use to be so pretty.Why did she mess with herself so much?And don’t forget the giant ass she will not be able to get rid of.All her injections showed when she gained weight with her baby.Fat cells will come back when you put even the smallest weight back on.That’s why she was not a comfortable or attractive pregnant woman.Her body had a mind of it’s own.
A woman’s hair looks great while pregnant, but that period after…while the hormones adjust…ack. A lot of hair falls out, dull…not a good time to be adding to the stressed hair by bleaching.

my opinion: nothing wrong with a night/weekend away from the new baby.. but being an international flight away, or 10 hours would worry me as a new mother. totally different story if the kid was 4, but the baby is an infant.

Since they have a nanny who probably does most of the work there is no reason they couldn’t off taken the baby. I doubt they are being kept awake by North and i agree this doesn’t bode well for North. Are they there just for a weekend or for a whole week? Kim’s hair looks so bad and trashy she needs to get it fixed. I don’t understand why someone like George Clooney can get through LAX without the paps noticing and Kanye has to go all the way to San Fransisco to avoid the LAX paps? Isn’t there a secret way in and out for celebs? or do they hate Kanye too? LOL
Its no ones business if they travel or not. How can people sit here and bash her looks and her hair. Who cares. She just had a baby, and I remember how I felt and looked without everyone judging me. I think she looks pretty in the hat. Let it go people.
What confuses me the most about this whole situation is how happy Carine Roitfeld is about standing next to Kim Kardashian (pictures at DM I believe). Her fashion choices have been awful since she got with Kanye (flattering but kind of budget before) and she’s a reality star! #NODISRESPECTTOREALITYSTARS but how does that equal Parisian high fashion? Roitfeld’s fashion book, CR, what is the POV? What is she trying to sell and to whom is she trying to sell having Kim Kardashian on the cover? Maybe my snob is showing but I grew up devouring Vogue and Vanity Fair and following the Roitfelds and Anna Wintours of the world. It’s perplexing to me that they would so openly embrace someone who is NOT a style icon. Ugh, I’m done. Rant over.

Kim doesnt seem happy with Kanye. and i dont care about Kim’s happiness, but he is really weird and her whole style has completely changed since being with him. I was watching the chicago detroit game and everytime i saw Reggie Bush I kept thinking “Kim, how did you let that man go?”

I cannot believe I am going to defend Kim Kardashian. Fashion week was half over by the time they showed up. At most they will be there a few days. Is it better to leave an infant at home or take them on an international flight? Is it better to leave an infant at home or subject them to all kinds of environments while they still have a weakened immune system?
I get that every parents wants to be with their children as much as possible but I guess few days away seems just fine with me.
Or do women have to stop being anything other than a mother when they have a child?

I don`t care if she nurses or not but according to an article in the daily mail, she wanted to continue to nurse her baby until 6 months and thereby bring the baby to paris but Kanye said no because of the paps. So basically Kim had no choice but to stop. So much for wanting the best for her kid.

It’s 2013 and I am still perplexed by Kim and family. I always feel like Mugatu, feel like I’m taking crazy pills. I think Kim is pretty but I’ve always thought her looks were vastly overrated; ditto for her two sisters. It’s interesting that their “empire” seems to be crumbling. I’m sure Kris thought the birth of North was going to take them to the next level. But it seems to have done the opposite and made the general public finally give a huge Kanye shrug in regards to the K Klan.
That being said, I think Kanye and Kim May just stay together for a while. Provided Kim turns a blind eye to his lover and continues to pretty much let Kanye do whatever the fuck he wants.
