The last time I checked in with Zoe Kravitz, she was slowly reuniting with Penn Badgley and maybe banging Michael Fassbender again (although maybe not). And the last time I paid attention to Drake, it was last week and he and Rihanna were maybe hooking up in Texas, going to strip clubs together and acting sort of coupled-up. So I don’t know what to make of this story, an exclusive from Necole Bitchie. That site claims Drake has been seeing Zoe Kravitz lately. What the what?
Drake’s charming ways are paying off. He’s getting all of the ladies. Now, we all know last week, he was throwing dollar bills at a Houston strip club with Rihanna, but it seems as though Lenny Kravitz’s daughter Zoë has caught Drizzy’s eye as well. Last night, Drake was spotted arriving at Gjelina restaurant in Venice Beach with the young actress/musician for a romantic dinner date.
According to our spies, they were seated outside on the patio where Zoë drank wine, laughed a lot and was full of smiles. Meanwhile, Drake’s bodyguard sat on the inside of the restaurant making sure no photos were taken. When dinner was over, Drake was a gentleman and waited for Zoë outside of the restroom before they exited the restaurant together.
Photos have also emerged of Zoë hanging out on Drake’s tour bus this past weekend. According to Global Grind, Drake has been crushing on Zoë since 2011 when he tweeted: “Zoe Kravitz on Californication…my two favorite things in the world. But she’s not a thing…she’s everything.”

I don’t know what to make of Drake. I think he gets around (slut!) for sure, but he also seems to give off a vibe of “I want a real relationship, I want a real girlfriend.” Lainey has been saying that Drake’s been waiting for Rihanna to figure her sh-t out, but I wonder if Drake is tired of waiting. Rihanna has a lot of stuff to figure out, you know? He could be waiting a while. And Zoe just seems like she’s really into the “girlfriend” thing. Men love her, she seems fun and like she’d be a sweet hippie girlfriend. Zoe and Drake…? I think I like that. I think I might want that to happen.

We have to look at this logically. The photo of them circulating was B4 he went to TX and hung at strip clubs with Rih and other ladies while he was out there. It may just be me, but if I’m aiming at dating someone new I wouldn’t be hanging all out with my ex in public two days in a row & drooling over strippers in instgram videos. The dinner they had could have been a nice dinner. But who knows. He’s been supporting her band for years now (same way he supported Rih at her concert) , but thats just me. I think they are just buddies… at this time.

Drake may be slutting it up with different girls but I never get a douchebag vibe from him. Maybe after I read he was in love with a girl who is an event planner, successful in her own right, whom he respected a lot.
Also, he seems like he’s having his fun but once he finds the woman that he loves (he once said she shouldn’t be trying to be a model or a singer), he’ll have a real stable relationship.

I’m surprised by this coupling but it oddly makes sense. Kind of reminds me of a modern-day version of her parents (young actress/”it” girl meets musician). I don’t think it’ll last, but I’ll ship it until Zoe moves on next month.

I still don’t understand how Zoe couldn’t translate being the gorgeous daughter of Lisa and Lenny into her own big career. Even if she is a shitty actress, that has never stopped a pretty celeb kid from succeeding. I don’t think she should just settle for being “cool hipster girlfriend of [enter famous man here]”, which is sort of what she’s been doing the past two years. Also, she was in After Earth, but let’s not even go there.
Well, she has done several indie movies, and has a band. She also has a pretty big role in the Divergent saga, which first installment comes out next year (and her role only grows from there)…then again, she doesn’t seem like an attention-craving famewhore at all. She doesn’t even have a twitter account. She may be a celeb kid, but she was well raised, and seems to have a good head on her shoulders (and wow, those were so many “she’s” lol).
Can I be honest for a second? I do not understand the fawning over Zoe. I mean, she’s cute, but certainly not gorgeous or intriguing. Yet, I read that every time she has a story up. Her mother was GORGEOUS, she is not. Is it just some proxy thing, like she is considered beautiful by gene association? It’s like the same with Kerry Washington. She is not GORGEOUS. She is cute, yes, and her fashion sense is mediocre at best.
I have gone to school with prettier women of color. Heck, I have much prettier women in my family (I am Nigerian-American). I mean, Lupita Nyong’o is GORGEOUS. Rihanna is GORGEOUS (I hope she addresses her issues soon, before the drugs ravage her looks and happiness ala Lohan). Viola Davis is GORGEOUS. It’s like Hollywood doesn’t know what to do when they get a pretty WOC, so they call them GORGEOUS to seem open-minded and tolerant. But, what is more offensive is when this over enthusiasm occurs…it’s insulting. It’s like when during the Oscars Roundtable when Viola was trying to discuss the limited roles for AA women in Hollywood and Charlize Theron butted in to tell Viola that she is GORGEOUS. I mean, that wasn’t the point of Viola’s story, but Charlize felt that she needed to let Viola know that she is beautiful. It’s like as soon as she heard the word “racism” she needed to interject and let Viola know that she’s not racist because she sees beauty in a black woman.
Just because you don’t find her gorgeous (which is perfectly fine), doesn’t mean other people can’t. And those women you’ve mentioned (Kerry, Rihanna, Lupita, Viola) are all different people, from each other and from Zoe. Each of them can be beautiful in her own way.
I don’t think you are getting my larger point. Hollywood dictates these select women as GORGEOUS, when in fact, they are not. I have had these conversations with several other WOCs both in the academic world and otherwise. It’s as if once Hollywood sees a WOC they must call them gorgeous to overcompensate for their own eschewed beliefs.
I understand these are all different women. I am also not saying that Zoe and Kerry are not pretty, because they ARE pretty and cute women. I am merely saying that they are not GORGEOUS. And Hollywood likes to do this with the select WOC they choose to be the face of a “group” in HW for a few years.
I don’t get the interest in Zoe. I know who she is because of her parents. Otherwise I wouldn’t. And don’t are. She is just covered a lot and I don’t get it.

Not everyone’s opinion of what is gorgeous is the same. I happen to think Lupita Nyong’o is breathtaking (that SKIN and that BONE STRUCTURE). We don’t have to have a hive mind regarding what we view as beautiful or gorgeous.
Glad to see someone who feels the same way. I don’t find Zoe amazingly beautiful or anything. Lisa Bonet is simply breath-taking but Zoe isn’t. Yes she is pretty but not the drop-dead stunning that people seem to use to describe her.

Yea, that is also something that I’ve noticed. Her extensions/wigs look mighty unkempt and greasy often as well. It’s really bizarre. If any other female artist went around looking like that, they would get hell on this board. It’s weird that she gets a pass. For instance, when Mia Wasikowska was photo’d walking around in Toronto with Jesse Eisenberg this summer looking rough, she caught all kinds of hell on other blogs (not this one).
