Mariah is gifting all of us with bikini shots and pose-harding for Christmas, which is just what the baby Jesus would want, I think. Mariah was in Aspen with her family – and I guess she still is? Maybe. But she appeared on Watch What Happens Live last night and… wow. Mariah was in rare form. Just weeks after RadarOnline.com broke the news that Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon are leading separate lives, the singing diva has admitted that their busy work schedules have kept them apart. In fact, Carey told Andy Cohen on Sunday night’s Watch What Happens Live that while undergoing her troubled pregnancy with their twins Moroccan and Monroe, now 2, Cannon was rarely around.
Responding to a fan’s question, Carey, 43, ruled out having more children with Cannon.
She explained, “I had preeclampsia; I had gestational diabetes, a really difficult pregnancy and I was alone most of the time.”
Seeming to realize how that sounded, Carey quickly added, raising her voice, “We love Nick, but he’s working! He’s the hardest working man in show business. Hi, Nick!” she said, smiling and waving at the camera and blowing her husband a kiss.
Earlier, Carey had told the fan who called in to Cohen’s Bravo show, “Nick and I have a boy and a girl, I couldn’t ask for better.”
She joked of the America’s Got Talent host, “If Nick could have the babies himself, then maybe. Then, bring ‘em on. We love kids!”
“I’m responsible for these children ’til forever so I look at it like, they didn’t ask for this lifestyle, here they are and it is so different than just being able to just be like, ‘OK, bye, well, I’m going here now, I just did a show, I’m leaving.’”
Carey said, “To anyone who’s ever carried twins, it’s a totally different experience to carry twins in your body; you don’t even know who you are.”
Later, when asked her Christmas plans, the “All I Want for Christmas Is You” singer strangely didn’t mention Cannon, saying, “I’m going to have the best time possible in a snowy layer ensconced in Aspen with the babies. We’re going to have as much fun as possible — I have to have snow.”
Also during the Sunday night interview, Carey continued to complain about her experience judging American Idol this season (she famously feuded with fellow judge Nicki Minaj and neither one is coming back). In November, she had likened the experience on the hit FOX show to “being in hell.” And Sunday night, when Cohen asked if she’d ever judge another TV show, Carey replied, “No… You know what I really should have been doing on that show is doing the mentoring,” she declared. “I’m a producer, a writer, people don’t realize that.”
The diva, clad in black gloves, said, “Let me quote my resume,” but added, “I have fourteen number ones as a producer, which is more than anybody. People don’t know that, because women, we’re either supposed to be a diva or you’re behind a piano, you’re allowed to be a songwriter.”
Carey said friends encouraged her to do Idol so fans could see her personality and she decided it would be cool working with pal Randy Jackson.
“It’ll be a three-person panel, the typical thing,” she recalled thinking. “And then, they tie me up with this — it was so typical show biz ‘twirl the mustache’ moment. I’m not blaming anybody. This is a disclaimer — this is not about anyone in particular except I wouldn’t have done the show had I known that they were doing a total experiment village moment and I get to be the person who’s out in front. And it wasn’t my bag.”
Carey also good naturedly talked to Cohen about her 2001 movie bomb, Glitter — “It was called the G word. We couldn’t bring it up” — and an old alleged boyfriend, Eminem. When asked to say something nice about Eminem during one of Cohen’s games, Carey joked, “They come in a package that you can carry wherever you go.”
Carey told Cohen that she’s still working on her next album. She said injuring her arm this year pushed the album back “and then I said, I’m really not ready with this. I need the arc of the album … I really need people to understand what I’ve been through and if this were to be my last album, people would hear everything that they needed to hear. We’re going to get there.”
Bless her heart. I feel like Kanye West is taking tips from Mariah, because… good God, they are really similar. Everything is all about them and they’re not sure what to talk about if they’re not talking about how great they are. Kanye’s egotistical rants come across as bravado (and insanity) and Mariah’s speeches come across as “The Diva Suffers For Your Sins.” But we wouldn’t have it any other way.
… I am wondering about Mariah and Nick, by the way. I’m not saying their marriage is in trouble, but maybe they’re just going to through a rough patch right now.

I feel like she’s the type who wants her own time and her own space and to do her own thing, so maybe this schedule with Nick being away often really does work for her. I think too much time together might be worse than not enough with Miss MiMi.
I love her. She’s no Kanye, she’s a hugely accomplished woman and her career has been groundbreaking and she SHOULD keep reminding us of it.
Also if she wants more kids maybe she should adopt. There are so many many kids that need a home and she could provide them with everything they would need and lots of love too.
I don’t know. She took the pain to point out that she was alone, it may be a bother to her, but it also certainly doesn’t sound like they are in trouble. I hope not, I really like them together. Plus I’m of the mind that just because Mimi is insanely rich doesn’t mean she doesn’t expect Nick to work.
And yes, she is worlds away from Yeezy, starting with the ability to speak coherently.
I just think it’s desparate to post pics of your self on twitter in a bikini. It just makes me go,” why Mariah, why”. It’s not even at a beach but in snow and in front of an Xmas tree.
It’s an attempt to get us to stop talking about her performing for dictators. T&A or politics? She knows what people prefer…..

I’m with Lainey on this one. I enjoy Mimi. uncritically and without snark. Haven’t listened to anything she’s put out since glitter, but i enjoy her antics.
Questions about the babies brought up memories of her pregnancy and she’s just remembering that it wasn’t that great of an experience. I think we should be more understanding of people like Mariah who are celebrities. We don’t have a lifestyle anything like theirs and we tend to judge them harshly because they don’t conform to the kind of lives we lead. She is a talented entertainer and it seems pointless to call her nasty names and criticize her every move.
She’s just become a cartoon over the years. She’s out of touch with reality and so far from being down to earth that for me, it overshadows the talent she possesses. And I used to be a huge fan from the beginning of her career.
She strikes me as so desperate. People don’t love you just for your looks, Mariah! Why cheapen yourself so much??
I can see how having twins as your first pregnancy would put you off of more babies. I know girl who is around 36 weeks with twins and she’s absolutely miserable. The pregnancy has been so rough on her and she doesn’t even have gd or pre-e
I only have one and I never ever want to be pregnant again. I hated being pregnant. My daughter is worth it but damn. Once was enough for us lol. Luckily my husband is fine with that

Mariah had a lot of medical problems during her pregnancy. She’s in her forties, has a girl and a boy and has a career. I don’t get what was wrong with her joke if he carries it.
I saw her sing “Vision of Love” at SummerJam in 1990 in Northern California, and her pipes have been blowing me away ever since! She has got me feeling “Emotions!” I love me a Mimi Christmas! Thanks for the pics!
I completely understand her hesitation to have more kids! I developed severe preeclampsia in my 31st week of pregnancy, and after a scary week in the hospital, a crazy birth, and lots of time in the nicu (1 week down, 4 to go!), I don’t know if I ever want to put myself through that again. Pregnancy just seems…daunting and kind of scary now. Then again, I’m only one week past my little girl’s birth so maybe that will change. Also, no matter how much you love your partner, you’re the one with the restricted diet and crazy medications and bed rest! Usually I think Mimi is a delusional butterfly, but it sounds like even she can’t add a layer of sparkles and unicorns to her pregnancy memories.
I quite like that she was honest about her pregnancy. Cliched but makes her real and less annoying, to be honest. However, annoying or not, she has accomplished a lot career-wise so I can’t really put her in Kanye’s league. I don’t even know what realm he’s in anyway. Delusionland probably.
Perhaps Mariah is posing in her bikini because she is lonely and wants some attention. I cannot disparage her at all. She has an incredible voice, and a career that spans decades. Like many married women with children, Mariah sometimes feels lonely. I can relate completely.

If she had preeclampsia and gd it is likelyt the twins were early. A lot of preemies will have vision issues. It is something to do with the oxygen they recieve in the nicu.
That doesn’t mean she will always have such thick glasses though. The eyes may mature more,
