I didn’t cover Rachel Zoe’s second pregnancy that much, mostly because there was less activity and less press around this one as compared to her first pregnancy. Which isn’t to say that I didn’t regularly chance upon photos of Rachel and her miniscule bump and think “Wow, she barely looks pregnant. I hope she’s eating enough.” Well, apparently Rachel was in her third trimester when I was wondering that. Rachel gave birth to her second child, another boy, over the weekend:
OMG, she’s a mom of two! Rachel Zoe and husband Rodger Berman welcomed their second child together she announced via Twitter on Sunday, Dec. 22.
“So excited to welcome our baby boy into the world…he’s 7 lbs 12 oz, beautiful, healthy and we couldn’t be happier,” she shared with fans.
The 42-year-old fashion designer and Berman, who married in 1996, are already parents to son Skyler, 2.
After Us Weekly exclusively revealed in June that Zoe was expecting her second child, the celebrity stylist confirmed the pregnancy news in a blog post in September. “We are beyond excited for Skyler to have a sibling and for us to fall in love all over again,” she wrote. “We feel incredibly blessed.”
At the 50 Most Fashionable Women of 2013 event in West Hollywood on Oct. 24, Zoe told reporters she was having a fairly easy second pregnancy. “I’m feeling good,” she said, but added, “I’m tired. Bed is early for me.”
As for cravings, The Rachel Zoe Project star revealed she hadn’t had any. “Isn’t that weird? I want some, but no,” she said. “[My husband has] been hoping in both pregnancies but nothing happens.” And even though she looked amazing in a cut-out black dress, the expectant star said, “I’m eight months in here, so I’m not feeling that sexy!”
I can’t believe she had another boy! Rodger’s probably thrilled, but Rachel probably wanted a girl a little bit. Of course the woman with the extensive Chanel and Valentino archives has two boys, right? Well, I’m glad that this baby was born a healthy weight and that mother and child are doing well. Guesses on the name? She named her first son Skylar, which means that anything goes. I’m thinking, like, Morrison Berman or Hendrix Berman or something like that. Hippies.

Apparently over the years she’s been known for never ingesting any fat whatsoever if she could help it. Her work lunch would be things like skim milk yogurt and carrot or celery sticks. Extremely-low-fat diets are not healthy in the long run, and combined with excessive sun exposure/drugs/smoking/alcohol it would be absolute HELL on a person’s face.
When I look at closeups of her it is so hard for me to believe she is 42.
However, it being Christmas and all, I will have some compassion for the crazy lady. Congrats on a healthy baby and a lovely addition to the family.
Me too. I’m 44, and while I know that people age at different rates, I can’t believe she’s 2 years YOUNGER than me! She looks like a well preserved 50 something.
Yeah, the close-up is really harsh, isn’t it? I guess that’s what years and years of caking-on make-up does?
Instead of congratulating her for having a healthy son, here come the nasty comments about her weight, that she looks old and finally that she hired a surrogate. Have at it and hope you enjoy yourselves.

Don’t understand why people think skinny women have tiny babies. My cousin was almost 9 months and we had no idea she was that pregnant. Then pop a 8 lb baby. 2 days later her stomach was flat as a pancake.
Surprise women are all different.
I don’t really think it’s simply because Zoe is skinny. I think the surprise at her popping out full grown babies is because she looks like a mummified skeleton.

You get what you get with the gender of your kids. I will say she did take to mothering a little boy, so she’s probably thrilled with another one.
I think she is totally in love with Skylar and seems to be a great mom. I’m sure she is thrilled with another boy.

I think her rep said Bear’s last name is Winslet…so still not a great name but not as bad as it could have been.

My parents are hippies and many of their friends are as well, there’s a warmth there and a concern for how people feel and a lack of fixation on material. Congrats. I have been always been skeptical of Zoe’s mothering instincts, but she seems totally devoted to Skylar and motherhood actually seems to agree with her.
I’m assuming that it’s because she’s not a big enough celebrity, but I find it odd that I haven’t heard any fake pregnancy rumors with either of her pregnancies. I don’t think women have to gain tons of weight, but she just looked bloated or like she’d had a huge feast.

Zoe may have an affinity for androgynous names. I’ve heard of more girls being named Skylar than boys, but it’s a cute name nonetheless. Other names that can go either way are Kasey, Stacy, Tracy, Erin, Jamie, Kelly and so on…
Seriously. Bear. Winslet. After that, anything Zoe names her son will be an improvement.

In all the photos here she’s tugging at her coat, like she’s trying to hide the bump or at least is self-conscious. No judgment because we all have our issues, but I’m pregnant and I can’t wait to show off my bump. I practically want to frame it.

I would have thought she would have had “sperm washing” carried out and made sure she had a girl. The U.S is one of the only countries that allows gender selection. Apparently male and female carrying sperm are charged differently. They get an electronic charge to separate them out. Its 99% effective.
