This is maybe the most I’ve ever liked a Stella McCartney dress. Right? Oprah Winfrey has that power. She can turn Stella’s usually-hideous designs into something rather chic. Oprah attended the BAFTAs last night – it was her first time at the BAFTAs – because she was nominated for The Butler. She also presented an award. I always wonder if England “gets” Oprah. I mean, do they understand why Oprah is such a big deal here in America? Or do they just view her as just another American celebrity? Anyway, I think Oprah looks really fantastic here. I love this color on her, I love her hair and I think she was just having fun with it. She’s looked great for every event for The Butler though – her stylists have been killing it the past year.
Alicia Vikander wore this Chanel dress which… OMG. OH MY GOD. WHY?! Why would you do this to an attractive young woman? This looks like a really terrible costume for a film I would never see.
I’m not really sure why Michelle Rodriguez attended this event, but I suspect she was in London because she and Cara Delevingne are now in love and dating. I think that’s a disaster area, but it has nothing to do with two ladies getting it on. It has everything to do with drugs and alcohol and how I sometimes worry that Michelle doesn’t know when to say no. Anyway, she looked great. She wore Emilio de la Morena. The leather detail feels kind of budget, but otherwise this is one of her better looks.

Oprah’s dress is lovely, but the hair is too much.
At first glance her hair reminded me of a let down version of Bette Midler’s Hocus Pocus hair with a tinge of Einstein.
I love her wild curly hair, probably cos mine is similar! I also love her big cocktail ring. Wonder if it’s a ruby? Overall she looks great!
That is the only Stella McCartney dress I have ever liked. It fits Oprah perfectly. Hair and makeup also very good.

Agreed. I love how Oprah looks in this, and I love her accessories, makeup, and hair. I just think she looks a tad tired around her eyes – she looks like she could use a nice nap.
This dress is perfect for Oprah, and she is just glowing in it. Also agree that it is refreshing that she is aging naturally. It would hurt my heart to see Oprah ‘toxed.
I think the last minute addition of sleeves to Oprah’s dress helped alot (she mentioned on the red carpet that they were sewing them on as she was leaving for the show). The ‘best’ Stella McCartney has done ever-but I still it makes Oprah look more top heavy then she is. The seam under the boobs don’t hit right (giving her the dreaded double boob)

That dress is killer on Oprah, but for the last several years she has always looked amazing for the red carpet at these things. That jewel tone looks beautiful on her. I love her hair also.
I don’t particularly like Oprah’s dress…its just ok…the big hair is atrocious! Michelle looked better than I have ever seen her, I guess being “in love” makes her glow! Alicia’s dress…WTF…WTF….I can’t wait to hear Joan River’s comments on that absurdity…

I’m quite enjoying Alicia’s dress, I can see why people think its a tad ridiculous but dammit its cute! Looks kind of French and I liiiike it. Don’t like what I see of the shoe with it though.

same here. I don´t get her… i´m no talkshow fan and even if… her show isn´t airing in mainland Europe. I know her because of international gossip sites (f.e. the Tom Cruise interview) and that´s it.

Hair is beautiful. Dress is not up to her usual high standard. It’s more of a costume of ‘sexy older lady RAWhhhh’ than it is an actual sexyl older lady dress.

When did O get lipo? She got her tummy/stomach area done because lately she is still full figured but more shapely which is rare.
Even strong spanx wouldnt’ slim her stomach down that much. But I agree she dresses very well for her body type.
She was TERRIFIED to have her ears pierced on one of her shows…back when…so I highly doubt she EVER gets any kind of nip or tuck. She looks awesome here…altho the hair is a bit much.

Maybe that wasn’t really her fault? I mean, maybe that was the best choice out of all the dresses they offered her? I am not sure how the red carpet dress politics works, from the little I know, the designers send them – the actresses or their fashion advisors (I can’t find the word, it’s like a rachel zoe) – the dresses or pictures of the dresses? And then they choose? And there are very few actresses who actually buy dresses/gowns for such red carpet events? But omg, it’s channel, the feather dress? Atrocious. The girl is beautiful though. Hope she’ll get gorgeous dresses in the future

Oprah looks nice, her styling seems to be consistent and she usually wears different variations of the same dress. I see nothing wrong with her hair, I love big hair and have worn mine the same way on many occasions.

If she wore a long tight black dress she’d look much much thinner, and could show off some gorgeous jewelry.
The combination of her hair and her boobs make the whole image look too top-heavy. I would have liked to have seen a more big-bust friendly bustline and a more subdued hairstyle.
