Lovely Lupita! Immediately following her Oscar win on Sunday night, Lupita Nyong’o stayed in LA for a day to do the Ellen Show and to catch up some sleep probably. Then she caught a flight to Paris, like any self-respecting fashion It Girl. Lupita has a contract with MiuMiu, so she was probably contractually obligated to come to the Paris show. That worked out well for MiuMiu, didn’t it? When they signed Lupita, it was last fall and she was just the pretty ingénue who looked great in couture. And now their “face” is an Oscar-winning actress. I’m guessing that other brands are already sniffing around Lupita, begging to sign her up for campaigns. I’ve been saying this for a while, but I bet Lupita gets a major beauty brand contract within the next month. Probably not CoverGirl, but maybe Lancome or L’Oreal.
Anyway, there were lots of people at the MiuMiu show, and they were all happy to hang with Lupita. Lupita met Rihanna and RiRi posed for photos with Lupita. You could tell Lupita is a big fan of Rihanna too – she posted some selfies with Rihanna on her IG. Lupita also hung out with Elizabeth Olsen, Adèle Exarchopoulos and Léa Seydoux. And while I’m not crazy about Lupita’s ensemble, she wears it well. Actually, I love the coat.
Oh, and Jared “SCARFY” Leto was at the show too. I know some of you are really shipping Jared and Lupita, but I seriously think she can do better. I’m not saying Jared’s sketchy (although I’ve heard some stuff), but I’m just saying that Lupita needs to hold out for someone who is going to worship her. Although… I kind of think Leto did kind-of/sort-of follow Lupita to Paris. It’s weird, right? Is Leto trying to woo her? Does he already worship at the Alter of Lupita?
Incidentally, the UK tabloids are trying to make Lupita and Michael Fassbender into a thing. The Sun claimed a few days ago that Lupita and Fassy “secretly dated” last year during the Toronto Film Festival and that Fassy was trying to make it happen with her again. Gossip Cop says it’s not happening though, so take that as you will.
(Truth be told, I’m shipping her with Benedict Cumberbatch. Benedict cried beautiful, pure tears when she won the Oscar and I feel like they would be MAGIC together.)

Rih is no more a beautiful mess than any other 26 year old…everyone has areas they are “weak” in….
To me Lupita is the ‘whole package’ in that she is as articulate as she is beautiful and accomplished. She’s a Yale graduate she speaks on issues with such depth. She has style but there is a well of substance and self possession beneath the surface that informs her beauty.
I like Rhi but she isn’t there yet. She seems to be doing much better than say a year ago she’s still working it out. In none of her interviews has she shown a rich intellect like Lupita. She is a party girl with questionable taste in men and a yen for selfies. She’s enigmatic and a beauty for sure but to me Lupita is on another level.
Lupita better run. Riri is a disaster and can suck others in before they know it.

Exactly why does she need to be with anyone. OR she may have someone already one never knows. I can’t see her and Cumby either, Jared is a touchy feely flirt too busy being a rock star to be with anyone long at least not until the late fall. I do love him though he is hot a bit too skinny but hot.

Well that outfit she is wearing in the above pics looks like Flight Attendant attire. I think she was only a miss a couple of times, other than those two mishaps she looked good.
She looks really young and fresh in those pics with the other girls but even Lupita isn’t as flawless as most people are making her out to be. You can tell by the close-up in the second pic that her skin isn’t as great as some thought.

Lupita!!!!! I think she looks gorgeous in that outfit. I really hope the studio project THR was talking about was Star Wars—that sort of thing would secure her a steady spot in Hollywood for the next five to seven years. My dream though is for them to make a Luke Cage/Iron Fist movie and she could play Misty Knight. Alas, Marvel doesn’t seem to be going down that road so I hope she lands a good franchise like Star Wars and then does a bunch of prestige pics in between….Also, I bet Prada (not just Miu Miu) is going to try and sign her on as their face. They haven’t had a celeb (besides men) rep Prada for a long time……
As far as her and Jared, there are a ton of photos of her and Jared hanging around together backstage at the awards shows and popping up on their instagram pages….and he’s clutching on her waist and holding her hands and she’s returning the affection. I haven’t seen photos of her being as touchy feely with others. Also, he doesn’t seem like the type of guy to randomly jet to go see a Miu Miu show in Paris without a reason. Both of them studied film, and both are very arty—anyway, I think they would be cute together. I know people bring up Jared’s dating past (the Lilo and Paris Hilton hook up), but he seems to have calmed way down over the past five or six years…People grow up, even at a later age, and men can get the urge to settle down too.
They all get paid to go to the shows plus he has to return all of his YSL clothes, He had huge bags at CDG airport labeled. Who knows… time will tell. She needs to keep out of the limelight I think for a bit well in my opinion. She doesn’t want to be an “IT” girl and no film roles.
I was kind of hoping Lupita would lay low for a couple of weeks…There is such a danger of over exposure in show biz, that sometimes backfires. It sometmies seems that if a person is constantly in the news, the public or media or both start getting tired of this person and turn on them (Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Lawrence, etc.) I would hate hate that to happen to Lupita…
However, if she was contracted to be there because she’s a Miu Miu girl then it’s right that should turned up at the show. Now if she had cancelled because of fear of overexposure she would have been be slammed for that. Lupita is no more overexposed than the average celebrity who is been hyped.
I got sick of her too so I just stopped reading about her. Now after time out I’m back on the Lupita train.

OMG! Kaiser. I was shipping her with Cumberbatch. I was not buying these Fassy rumours. Maybe they had a fling/one stand at some point which is not unheard of co-stars but I can’t imagine Lupita wanting to be with a guy like Fassy. She’s far too intelligent and classy for him. Someone like Lupita would value intellect and I’m afraid Fassy is lacking that.

BC very obviously has a preferred tasted for blue eyed blondes (Olivia, Alice Eve, the Russian model). esides dating preference means that a person is attracted to a particular person over another. For example some guys may have a thing for brunettes it doesn’t mean they exclusively date brunettes or only talk with girls with brunette hair. It just means that brunette is there favourite colour on a girl.

She looks beautiful, but I’d rather hear about upcoming acting projects. Best Supporting Actress Oscars have been a curse on many careers and Lupita has the added Hollywood challenge of being so-called “non-traditional” casting. She’s extraordinary but to be honest, I worry.

I too worry. I agree with your statement. The only sort of non traditional AA on the horizon is Gabby Sibide but she has that sassy American thing going on and I don’t get that vibe from Lupita as she isn’t American first off but you have to see her image all over. Not just LA/SFO/NYC I am talking middle America although we have come far in some parts not far enough. Margot Robbie has 2-3 films going now and I know they say she has some projects in the works but why wait until she wins an Oscar to put her up for them? She has had 18-20 months since 12YAS. I guess time will tell.
The fact that she continues to keep herself ‘visible’ even after her Oscar win just tells me that she isn’t receiving any offers. With the way she’s prancing about, you’d think she’d have at least a few more credits on her IMDB.

I am sure someone is advising her but if not much going on come end of summer then we will know. All that back slapping means nothing without the work. I don’t see Cumby with Lupita AT ALL. Personally, I think he’s going to end up with a wife like Matt Damon’s or Christian Bale’s: Someone who’s familiar with the biz, but who isn’t (nor has she any desire to be) an actress, and who has absolutely no interest in fame. Someone who doesn’t mind staying home with the kids and greeting him at the door when he gets back from filming in some exotic locale. I might be wrong, but I think he’s looking for a rock-solid baby-mama — and I don’t mean that in an offensive way: I just mean a woman who’s happy to be the stay-at-home-mom wife of a hard-working actor.
