Halle Berry works while Olivier Martinez goes solo with his wedding ring

Here ^ is a photo of Olivier Martinez last week, exiting a LA restaurant solo. He had dinner by himself… no Halle, no baby son Maceo. But he was wearing his wedding ring, which I guess is good news. There were widespread reports last week (in Star Magazine and the NYDN) that Halle and Olivier are already having problems and that they are very, very close to splitting. Halle has not been wearing her wedding ring (she did a few pre-Oscar events solo and ring-less) and she’s been hard at work on her new TV show Extant. Word is that Olivier doesn’t like how much she’s been working and he thinks she should be spending more time with the baby and less time with costar Goran Visnjic.

As for Halle’s career these days… I think it’s interesting that she’s doing a TV show. Extant sounds interesting, for sure, and like high-minded sci-fi (sort of Fringe-y), and while there are a lot of great TV shows these days, I wonder if Halle is cut out for the TV schedule. We’ll see. While she was pregnant last year, she filmed scenes for X-Men: Days of Future Past, but buried in last week’s NYDN article, there was an interesting aside about how Halle/Storm had been almost entirely cut out of the movie. So, did that really happen?

According to the NY Daily News, Halle Berry’s Storm was almost completely cut out of the movie and now has only one scene left. They say: “While filming, her role was reduced due to her pregnancy, but it turned out to be more of a cut than was expected. ‘She only has one line in the whole movie,’ our source says. ‘They’re not telling her until the movie comes out.'”

Good gossip that is sure to bring some traffic to your site, except that it isn’t true. SuperHeroHype has spoken to a very trusty source of the site, who says there is no truth to what the NY Daily News is claiming.

She does some cool stuff in the movie. How much? You’ll see on May 23.

[From Superhero Hype]

Considering how many past, present and future mutants Bryan Singer tried to jam into this movie, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if many scenes got cut. I’m guessing that the film will be mostly about Fassbender, McAvoy, McKellen, Stewart and yes, Peter Dinklage (who plays the bad guy). All of the other mutants are expendable.

Here are some photos of Halle at a pre-Oscar event, not wearing her ring:

And here are some photos of Halle filming Extant on Friday.

I think both Halle and Olivier are cray….but I don’t think her not wearing her wedding ring means anything….especially because all these rumors seemed to originate from only the wedding ring thing and the NYDN bounced off the Star one. She actually looks like she’s dropped quite a bit of weight to me (maybe because of the TV series, but I saw photos of her recently and she was looking very skinny) and maybe the ring is now loose….or maybe she just doesn’t wear a band all the time. Anyway, he’s still wearing his ring, it’s not like one is living a separate life (different house or on the other end of the country), etc. so I’m going with the two crays are fine for now….Honestly, I really hope these two cray crays manage to make it work because it’s going to be a freaking mess if they break up and kids are involved.

  2. MrsBPitt says:

I think Halle has met her match in the cray, cray department with OM!!! She must have known that not wearing her ring (especially, since she was without OM) would bring these rumors of her marriage being on the rocks…So is the marriage on the rocks or is it a publicity stunt to get her name in the papers, which always mention her new show…mmmm

    • Liv says:

I mean we all knew they wouldn’t last long. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had split up and I certainly wouldn’t feel sorry for them either.

    • Beatrice says:

I think you’re right about her meeting her match with OM. However, I’m so sad she never hooked up with Nicholas Cage–that would have been epic tabloid cray-cray!!

  3. blue marie says:

If I were her I’d rather spend time with Goran Visnjic too, that dude is hot.

    I don’t know.. I don’t believe tabloid stories..

I saw pics of Halle on set with their son. So she has the baby with her at work. And besides Actors have to work. I thought Olivier was promoting a new film he did. And anyway Halle just had a baby. I really doubt this woman is thinking about a man; outside her husband. I mean seriously; with a young baby at home; I’m sure she glad to be out talking to adults and doing something else.

  5. Christina says:

CDAN says she used the eggs of a younger lady to have the baby. I am 45 and saw a fertility specialist, and there is a one percent chance of a pregnancy using 45 year-old eggs. While it can happen, and has happened in my family, it is nearly impossible for a woman in my age range to have a pregnancy without younger eggs. The rumor is ugly, but it’s been a blind for a while there, and CDAN came out and said it, calling it “the egg thing” in his post about them splitting. Neither one looks happy to me. I’ve followed her for years, and it’s in her eyes.

    • SamiHami says:

I know several women who had babies later in life without using donor eggs. My own mother in law had her last baby at 46. It’s unusual and higher risk but it’s really not “nearly impossible.”

    • Hiddles forever says:

My mum’s ex neighbour thought the same.. She ended up delivering a baby at 48 and the second one at 49… just thinking “oh well, I’m too old it can’t happen”. No IVF or anything else, they were working class and they didn’t want more children at all.

    • Lark says:

CDAN has been proven to be FOS multiple times. Even the NY Post called him out on it after investigating all his claims and explained why he hasn’t been sued (it involves his disclaimer). He claimed Angelina was having an affair with an artist in Europe who painted/sculpted her, and he got the idea off Christopher Isherwood who discussed how a gay friend of his did a portrait of Angelina and Brad and how they almost got frisky. He just takes little tidbits like that and twists it around, uses super broad things that can be stretched to anyone, or goes back and “tweaks” his blinds. I’ve had major issues with him ever since he started accusing people of rape and incest, since it’s so disrespectful to real victims of sexual assault.

As far as Halle, while women that age can have babies naturally (my grandmother had my mom at 45 and this was before fertility drugs)….she can afford all the expensive fertility care in the world. I’m not sure she’d have to use donor eggs. Also, I tend to believe they are the rare case of not using fertility drugs since she got pregnant before they were married.

      • CandyKay says:

CDANs blinds are, frequently, true. Sadly, it had a blind last week about L’Wren Scott’s troubles, and today she was found dead, an apparent suicide.

    • eliza says:

I take everything on CDAN with a grain of salt. Between the stunt queen antics of the alleged “Robert Downey Jr” postings, the nearly illiterate writing and usually untrue blinds, I had to stop reading their nonsense.

      • V4Real says:

Yeah lately I have been avoiding CDAN as well but some of their blinds have turned out to be true. They are either hit or miss and as it says in their disclaimer, it’s for entertainment purposes only.

But some of the Blinds are far fetched and too broad and seems FOS, like someone said. I will admit though I was laughing at the claim that RDJ was the secret poster known as Himmm who was spilling the beans on the dark side of Hollywood.

      • Nanea says:

Right – because no entertainment lawyer worth his salt would even have time for that kind of blog.

What’s more – disclaimer or no, there are so many litigious posts on that blog that a real lawyer wouldn’t have touched that stuff with a 10ft pole. As it’s a blog that takes itself far too serious, publicists/lawyers to the stars probably looked the other way out of common sense. Most people are not as trigger-happy as Bert Fields aka Tiny Tom’s lawyer.

      • FingerBinger says:

People repeat CDAN blind items like they are gospel. I don’t know why I’m surprised that people believe them, but they do. Reading those blind items is like reading fan fiction. CDAN loves the DailMail too. Whatever celebrity happens to be the in the DailMail that day gets a blind written about them.

      • V4Real says:

Did any of you guys see the man who is supposed to be ENTY on E? It was a special on the secret life of Hollywood.

      • FingerBinger says:

@V4Real I saw it. All I thought is that he didn’t look fat. A bacon loving fatso is supposed to be his shtick.

      • V4Real says:

That’s what I said, I thought he was a fat bacon eating SOB. Then again, there are several ENTY’s now isn’t there. The style of writing varries too much to be one writer.

    • Kroll says:

I really think baby related gossip of that nature should be off bounds anyway. Whether or not she borrowed eggs, that child will never know another mother. Halle is his mum, period. IF this nonsense were even true, it would be up to Halle to decide whether or not to share this info with general public let alone with her child. That goes for all celebrities who are rumored to have had surrogates or sperm donors or whatever. Just lay off.

      • DrM says:

THANK YOU for saying this. I agree. While I am no fan of Halle’s I also think it is out of bounds to speculate on the genetic origin of someone’s child. She is raising that child and that is all that matters. I know a number of friends and acquaintances who have gotten pregnant in their mid to late forties with no difficulty at all (usually in total shock as well). People *really* need to ST*U with this kind of speculation.

  6. eliza says:

And somewhere Aubry is smugly mouthing “I told you so” and thanking God he is safely not involved in this mess.

    • Lena says:

      Yes.

    • V4Real says:

Yeah but Eric Benet said it first. Everybody was blaming him for the mess that is Halle.

But all craziness aside this woman is beautiful, with a body to die for and she’s close to 50.

      • eliza says:

Actually David Justice was the first to try and tell the world the truth about Berry and her insanity. Everyone preferred to believe he was this abusive monster, the claims that were never again made by any other woman, that I am personally aware of.

I just mentioned Aubrey because of the fist fight he and Martinez got into.

Any man involved with Berry surely must have some tales to tell.

      • V4Real says:

I’m just happy Michael Ealy got out before he got hooked into it. They dated after meeting on the set of “Their Eyes Were Watching God.”

  7. Merritt says:

I don’t get why people put so much attention into to whether a person is wearing their ring or not.
A lot of people rarely wear for completely legitimate reasons.

I have no idea what the state of Halle and Olivier’s relationship, and I get the feeling there are problems, but ring analysis seems silly to me.

  8. danielle says:

Can’t believe on never married Kylie minogue, who seems like a sweetie but ended up with Halle…who is about as gorgeous as is humanly possible, but does not seem like a sweetie.

    • eliza says:

I think many men have deep issues when it comes to a woman battling a life threatening illness. Men sometimes selfishly think ofthemselves and flee when things get tough. I think Martinez did not care to deal with Kylie’s illness and left her when she needed the support from him the most. He is not a good man in my opinion.

      • Ellie says:

Kylie has spoken about how Oliver helped her through the dark days of cancer. The relationship ended after her treatment and they have remained close friends.

I’m not keen on the guy but he definitely didn’t walk out of her when she was ill.

  9. DrFunkenstein says:

    Run, Ollie, run!

  10. People irk me... says:

I used to take my rings off at night to keep them from getting lotion on them and getting dirty all the time, but kept forgetting to put them back on. My husband has like enormous fingers (we have to have specially ordered rings for him) and we were on his fourth ring, so he finally got it tattooed on. The ring thing is meh to me, except I would wear them to big events like that though. I just lost all respect for her when she went psycho on her ex. She just seems like a hot mess.

  11. chauncey says:

How old is this guy? He looks like he’s 60. And who cares if Halle used her eggs, somebody else’s eggs or Safeway Farms eggs. Why is that interesting? I don’t get it.

    • Mauibound says:

I think the hub bub may be because Olivier didn’t know about it? Donor eggs that is
