Nick Cannon has been all over the place for a few weeks promoting his new album, White People Party Music. It has been… not good. Nick did “whiteface” on his Instagram, and he’s still dealing with the fallout from the backlash – this week, he was booed at a Knicks game, for the love of God. But Nick keeps talking and it’s sort of funny. First of all, he admitted in an interview that pre-Mariah, he dated (and banged) Kim Kardashian. Nick was listing all of the famous women he’s slept with in his life, and this was the list: “Mariah Carey…Christina Milian, Nicole Scherzinger, Selita Ebanks … oh, Kim Kardashian!” It was news to me, but I figured it happened a decade ago or so, back when Kim would do anyone who could get her famous. It was transactional. Anyway, Nick did a Howard Stern interview on Wednesday and Stern asked him how Mariah reacted to the Kardashian revelation:
Nick Cannon never holds back in interviews — but his wife, Mariah Carey, wishes he would. During an interview with shock jock Howard Stern on Wednesday, April 2, the America’s Got Talent host said he got in trouble with Carey because of a different interview with Stern, in which the two talked about Cannon’s past sexual conquests.
“People feel like they can ask me anything, because I say anything. I’m brutally honest, and now my wife doesn’t like when I come on your show!” he told Stern. “She doesn’t care when I talk about our sex life, because our sex life is amazing. She’s one of the most beautiful women in the world. But…when we bring up — I’m not gonna do it — other people’s names, she’s like, ‘Why would you even do that?'”
“Oh, the other people you’ve had sex with,” Stern replied. “That drives a woman nuts.”
“Absolutely, and I understand why, especially [for] a woman on the level of my wife,” the 33-year-old “Me Sexy” rapper said. “So I got in a lot of trouble, and I gotta stop talking about my past.”
Stern claimed that Carey was most upset that Cannon talked about sleeping with Kim Kardashian. (Back in 2012, he said he dumped the reality star because she lied about her sex tape.) However, Cannon said that wasn’t the case.
“You know, I don’t think so, no. ‘Cause honestly, my wife, she don’t even know who Kim Kardashian is,” the Drumline actor said. “She doesn’t pay attention to that. I think it was more about the fact…[that I spent] time on my past.”
“And then, remember, we had that conversation about women’s hygiene that everybody loved except for my wife,” he continued, referring to their 2013 chat about his past girlfriends’, ahem, private parts. “She took it in a way almost as if I was including her in the conversation, which — we weren’t talking about her. The most amazing sex I’ve ever had is with my wife.”
“She don’t even know who Kim Kardashian is”…? Probably in the same way that Mariah doesn’t know who Jennifer Lopez is, amirite? I wonder what Mariah’s beef is with the Kardashians. I bet it goes a lot further than “Nick once banged Kim.”
Nick also discussed Mariah’s recent comments about nannies, which CB covered a few months ago. Mariah said in another radio interview:
“Unfortunately I have to have nannies but I’m very hands on. I go through nannies like this [snaps fingers] and I hate to do that but I have to, because if they try to make themselves more important in the baby’s mind than me… [makes cutting motion over throat]. I just brought a girl back home with me from Puerto Rico and she’s here.”
So what did Nick have to say about that MESS? Nick said Mariah had a tendency to fire nannies “every other week” and “It’s something about a woman and her children…you know, the minute the child chooses to go to the nanny before they go to the mom — I would have an issue with that, too… Everything’s on a trial basis. It’s just like, hey, we’re gonna see how this works out. And we’re always traveling, so the nanny might not get a plane ticket to the next city.” God, what a horrible way to live. What a horrible way to raise children. But we’ve always suspected that Roc and Roe were just props in The Mariah Show, right?

I don’t know what it is–maybe the bloating–but Mariah Carey is SO unattractive. She was so pretty, what happened?
My theory is that she’s always loved food.
She seems one of those people who can never turn down a glittery cup cake or a slice of pizzas. She was able to contain it when she was younger but now I think her body type is the one that if you eat something you instantly gain weight.
Plus she’s in her 40s and her metabolism has probably changed since she was in her 30s.
And she is ridicoulous when she strots around in her bikini sucking her stomach in.

I think her figure is usually fine – she’s not a tiny little twig of a girl, but she usually looks like she’s in good shape. The problem is that she always wears things that are too small, too tight, too revealing, etc., rather than dressing well for herself.
Have you seen Precious? She barely wears make up in it and I think she looks much better. It’s probably also the hair color. I loved her hair back when she started out.
@Paola Yeah, women can’t win. If she wouldn’t suck her stomach in, people would bash her for being fat. She’s super successful and can weigh whatever she wants in my opinion. She’s a crazy diva, that’s for sure, and she could dress better, but in the end I don’t care how much she weighs.
On another note – if she doesn’t want her kids to be drawn to the nanny, then she should care more about them! So irresponsible to change their attachment figure that often just because she’s jealous.
The nanny situation sickens me. If her children consistently go to each nanny before their mom, the problem is Mariah. To then fire the nanny her kids are bonded to is disgusting. It shows how little time she spends with them if her children go to a nanny of a few weeks over their mother. What a turbulent life for her children.

I mean… I’m a stay-at-home mom, so I have no basis for this opinion, but it seems like a very selfish attitude on Mariah’s part (shocker!). Yeah, I would be jealous but I would suck it up in favor of my child having a trusting bond with the person who was caring for him on a daily basis!! I think learning to trust the caretaker is so important for a developing child.
Also, I wonder what her definition of “hands-on mom” is… Giving the kid air kisses so she doesn’t ruin her lipstick? I think it mostly involves playing and then the nanny does the nitty gritty child-rearing.

I know, it’s so mean. Of course the child gets attached to a caregiver. That doesn’t mean the child doesn’t love you. Every time the child bonds with a caregiver, she fires them. Poor kids. I think this will have long lasting affects. They are being punished for bonding with anyone but her. Some people should not have children, and I don’t say that lightly.
You are so right Steff. The best thing for a child who is going to have so nanny is to have one nanny so that nanny becomes an extended family member. Churning through nannies is causing the children great distress and could result in attachment difficulties as they get older.

I agree. I was a working mom and I can tell you it was easier to take my children to someone they trusted and liked rather than change the babysitter every other week. My children also ran to my mom before me sometimes. It’s part of life and she needs to get over it. As far as Nick is concerned, he really needs to grow up. His antics are getting old. Also, who cares that he names his past conquests – they’re in the past. I think she does know who Kim is if for no other reason her association with Kanye. She may not know why she is famous.
When my daughter was very young, we had a friend come stay with us for a couple weeks. She lived in a foreign country and wouldn’t see us again for a long time so she fawned over my daughter a lot and I was fine with it. Until the day my daughter went to her instead of me. Even though my brain knew I was still mama no matter what, it hurt my heart. I don’t know how well I would have handled it if it had been hired help and not someone I loved. So I get it. I do.

Well I can believe it. I personally know lots of people that don’t really know who the Kardashians are or are even aware of their existence. Its not like they are Angelina Jolie or Jennifer Anisiton, who everyone knows about.
I could tell you more about any one of the Kardashians than I could about Skeletor Nutbag Jolie or Pathetically Average Anniston. If you don’t care about any of these people, the Kardashians are the ones you are going to hear about sooner or later. It’s become virtually impossible to block them out. I’ve honestly seen one Anniston movie and one Jolie movie and neither was very good.
I don’t know… These things have a way of seeping into your brain whether you want them to or not, from tabloids you see while waiting in line at the grocery store, to ads on TV for their show…I was so annoyed when someone mentioned Honey BooBoo and I knew who she was. Why? I asked myself. I don’t deserve this!

They don’t treat the twins as props at all and all the pictures I’ve seen of Mariah with the twins are very loving. First and foremost, there are MANY things Mariah doesn’t know, period. Both of these people embody what is worst in entertainment personalities: shallow, vain, dull, egotistical and spoiled. Until I read the excerpts above I kind of felt sorry for Cannon being married to a woman who is certain she is the center of the universe. Now I just feel sorry for their children. What chance do they have of becoming decent adults with two clowns for parents? They leave the care and nurturing of their children to someone else and when the kids form emotional bonds with that person they are eliminated from the kids’ life. Gawd that stinks! This is the first time and LAST time I will bother to comment on these two people. They are every bit as ridiculous as the Kardashian they denigrate.
After Kim’s divorce, didn’t Mariah make a jab at her on some talk show or interview? She said something about how her and Nick fight but that doesn’t mean they’ll get divorced after four months. This was right after Kim filed for divorce from Humphries. So yeah, she knows who Kim is. I just think Nick was saying that Mariah doesn’t pay attention to Kim and she’s not a “threat” to her like “Kim who?”.
Also, Nick dumped Kim after her sex tape came out. He said he didn’t want anything to do with that and he was mad that she lied to him. He asked her if the rumors about the sex tape were true and she denied it existed. When the truth came out, he was so mad at her, he dumped her. Kim later said she “wasn’t into Nick anyways”. The biggest shocker is that Kim used to date Joey Lawrence (from Blossom !).

In defense of Nick Cannon — that show he has, Real Husbands of Hollywood, is very funny. Just discovered it on Netflix — funny, funny stuff. And he totally takes the piss out of himself as the “kept” husband….
I have viewed a couple of scenes from that show and it does seem really funny. Well he IS a kept husband, we all know that. I think he likes it that way. I see him serving her breakfast in bed and combing her hair for her while telling her how she’s the most talented and beautiful woman of all time. I doubt Mariah lifts a finger. I think Mariah and Kanye would have been the most outrageous couple. Why couldn’t that have happened lol?

It’s entirely possible that she doesn’t know who Kim Kardashian is. First, she’s Mariah Carey; the only person she knows is Mariah Carey. Second, plenty of people don’t read gossip blogs or entertainment news or watch E! I only know who Kim Kardashian is because of Celebitchy and dlisted.
The nanny thing is just horrible. Those poor kids. They are going to have very serious problems as they grow up — kids need to attach to someone.
