YES. Finally. Us Weekly claims that Prince Harry totally had a rebound hookup while he was in Memphis at Guy Pelly’s wedding. As you probably remember, Harry and Cressida Bonas broke up seemingly days before Harry left for Miami, which is where Guy’s bachelor party was held. Then the guys flew to Memphis for the big shindig, which is where Harry discovered the charms of some Southern girl. Seriously, that’s what it sounds like!
Royal rebound? Less than a week after his split from Cressida Bonas, Prince Harry moved on with another girl while attending the May 3 wedding of British club owner Guy Pelly and Holiday Inn heiress Lizzy Wilson in Memphis, Tenn., the new issue of Us Weekly reveals.
Both Harry, 29, and his brother Prince William flew in for the wedding festivities, visiting Graceland the day before and serving as ushers for the ceremony. It was there that a blonde socialite caught Harry’s eye.
“The girl comes from a wealthy family in Tennessee,” an insider tells Us.
The spare heir quickly set to work grabbing the girl’s attention, twerking on the dance floor in a tux and tails at the couple’s reception, which was held at the Hunt and Polo Club. “There was lots of drinking,” continues the source.
After the bride and groom left for the evening, Harry escorted his new friend to the private home where he was staying nearby.
“She stayed overnight. She’s been bragging about it to friends,” the source said. But to Harry it was “just a hookup,” the insider clarified. A spokesman at Kensington Palace had no comment.
It’s not very classy to brag about hooking up with Prince Harry. But then again, Americans are more egalitarian, and we do love to gossip, so I can’t hate on this lady too much. Hey, if it was me, I would hire a sky-writer so the whole town would know: “KAISER BANGED THE GINGER PRINCE.” But he wouldn’t go for me. I’m not a blonde. He seems to only date blondes. But… how do we know this wasn’t just Michael K in a blonde wiglet?!
Also, I kind of feel like this is Harry “getting over” Cressida. He was done with her. They aren’t getting back together, no matter what her friends say. Watch, now that I’ve said that, Cressida will rise again.

I can’t see why she would throw such a strop about not being invited to a portion of the wedding festivities, especially not being invited to a bachelor party. Seems ultra high maintenance and controlling to me. Seems like there was much more going on than just that. She should have gone to the wedding if she was invited.

Rebound or not, it’s embarrassing to read reports that your ex has moved on so quickly. And I hope Harry’s detail took this girl’s camera phone or any other recording device. If she’s eager to brag to her friends that she got close to the crown jewels she would likely photograph it.

Actually not true. Men use ‘flings’ and ‘hookups’ in order to get over a big heartbreak. Women do as well — it allows people to reaffirm their worth after splitting.
And what about the rebounds? It’s ok to stomp on their feelings as long as the heartbroken gets his/her boost of self-esteem? Sorry, it’s selfish. If you’re upfront about it before hitting the sheets; fine, no harm, no foul. But if you don’t come clean before the clothes come off you’re just as bad as the person who broke your heart.

If you meant in general? Absolutely, both parties should be honest and upfront about expectations and what else they need to talk about. Communication is vital in any relationship — whether it be short term or long term.
Bullshit, royals are trained never to sleep around with anyone who might open their mouths, that’s why the usually stick with girls from the own circles. This is just Us making up shit in order to slander Harry while forgetting that William was very much a part of the festivities as Harry.
Harry’s looks are improving with age….He may not be ready to settle down until he’s 50. It might be quite the woman who’s snags him.

I really feel Harry should just dump the whole Royal thing.
He is independently wealthy from his Mother’s estate. And he really could make a fortune, if he left England. He has a great skill set in aviation. So it is not as if he could not support himself.
But living in the US…. Harry could become his own brand. He is very personable and vivacious. He probably end up in a better marriage, with a girl he actually enjoy being around. And there is no shortage of old family money girls here… looking for a husband.
Plus he would have the ability to live as he wish. Not as the spare to the heir…. which he has been demoted since George was born. Harry needs to break free. And come charm his way through the States!
Forget it. Wallis Simpson wrecked any chance of an American getting a ring from a British royal. Thanks to her, American women are tagged as the ultimate in gold diggers, social climbers and tiara/title trackers; and the Kardashians re-enforce that image, right or wrong. Harry may bed us, but he won’t wed us. We’re bed warmer material as far as they’re concerned, even the “old family money girls”.

I could not disagree with you more. Wallis was used as a scapegoat because it was common knowledge that David was unfit to rule. She ‘took the hit’ in order for the British Government and the BRF to remove him from reigning. She never wanted to marry David either. Her brash personality never did her any favours though, that for certain (nor did David’s whining).
Bottom line, most people don’t think every American is another Wallis.

You mean that David was unfit and had issues long before she entered the picture? Several books. Want me to dig up the titles? Would you like quotes too? as the quotes about David and his ‘peculiarities’ and unfitness to reign, from even his father, are chilling and quite profound.
I am American and have read many books on Wallis and David. Ladyslippers is correct. He was a Nazi sympathizer, among other things and had a stable of married English women at his beck and call.
I’m English and doubt very much if American women are seen as being much different than English women. The class factor (commoner or not) obviously plays a part but even that is less important than it once was.
Edward was not only a Nazi sympathiser but apparently only barely missed out on being assassinated by UK secret services as he was seen as being an enormous liability to the Allied cause.
Instead he was sent to the Bahamas in the nick of time.
All are correct here. The British dodged a disaster when David abdicated. He was completely unsuitable to be sovereign. NatGeo did a documentary a few years back called “Britain’s Nazi King?”, based on newly declassified documents. I knew he had Nazi sympathies but the extent of it left my jaw on the floor! Now, one is free to believe or not believe what they see in a documentary, fair enough. But check this out if you can find it.

As for skywriting, the Tennessee version of this would be for her to paint a barn. Similar to “See Rock City” ads. (For those unfamiliar with this practice, barns near highways are sometimes used for advertising purposes. The sides or roofs are painted with a message. Too many hills and mountains for skywriting to be fully effective, you know.)
Barn signs are here in Oklahoma too. A true southern lady might even write it on the water tower!

Considering several newspapers clocked him leaving early and by himself I’m inclined to agree. Even his behaviour at the bar in Miami was exceptionally low key (so low key the blogger told the staff he was there — not the other way around).
Of course, he might have done this very discreetly with her being less than discreet… So I’m not ruling out the possibility entirely.
