Here are some photos of Carrie Underwood & Miranda Lambert at last night’s CMT Awards. You can see the winners list here – both women won big. Miranda won Female Video of the Year and Carrie won Video of the Year. They performed together too – they performed “Something Bad.” For whatever reason, I tend to think that Carrie and Miranda probably don’t like each other that much on a personal level, but they respect each other professionally. Maybe I’m reading their body language the wrong way, but that’s how it seems, right? They’re not BFFs or girlfriends, but they don’t hate each other and they probably enjoy working together.
As for the fashion… call me crazy (or perhaps it’s just my Southern-ness showing), but I really love Carrie’s look. She wore Roberto Cavalli, and it’s really pretty on her. The big print works, the cut is flattering and well-executed and she styled the gown well. Carrie looks great!
As for Miranda, she wore big hair (closer to God) and this Celia Kritharioti cocktail dress. Miranda has lost SO MUCH weight over the past year. I’m not sure how I feel about that. I kind of think she looked better before she lost the last ten pounds – she was slender, but she still had curves. She seems to have lost a lot of weight from her chest. Anyway, Miranda’s look is a “fail” for me, mostly because of her cheap styling and that hair.

Eh, I like Carrie Underwood (hate her Barbie look, though), but here I love Miranda’s outfit more! I like her golden belt and slippers.

Carrie and her husband both congratulated her before she made it to the stage, though. I would say they may be competitive, but are cordial to each other.

They used to be so exuberant and genuinely happy with each other that the change is really noticeable. At the ACMs they were almost hostile. Last night they were just kinda distant.
If you follow other gossip sites it says Blake has been cheating on Miranda constantly. She. is not stupid and hired a private eye after the cheating rumors surfaced and did not like what she found out. He and Kelly Clarkson’s husband are two of a kind. Also on her new album Priscilla and Two of a Kind says something about their relationship imo. Miranda is no innocent either because they got together in a shady manner and Blake’ s ex was not treated very well.
Miranda used to be pretty adorable, I’m not sure if the weight loss has changed it or she’s gotten something done but she is looking less adorable and much older all of a sudden.
Really? I think she looks younger & really pretty. I don’t know her other than random articles about her weight. Think she actually looks great. Being heavier she looked older to me. Both girls look great for their age. I would put both around 26-28 if I saw them on the street.
Miranda is standing like she has to take a tinkle badly. Is it me, or does it seem like country music has awards shows like every other week?

I think worst music on earth has to be a tie with gangsta rap (seriously how the flip is the music????) and dubstep (wth IS that????)
Part of the reason I love country so much is the fact their singers can actually sing without being aided by all the autotune. Seriously, their live performances are way better than the albums at least 90% of the time.
I’m not saying there AREN’T singers in other genres who can’t sing live, but they seem to be in the minority. (not to say some country stars should go jump off a cliff-tay swift)
Carrie neverv does anything with her hair.
Carrie & Miranda certainly seem to enjoy performing together. I definitely think there’s a lot of respect there – they’re pretty much the only 2 women on country radio in a sea of guys, and they’re sending the message that women have to stick together. Do they socialize? Probably not, they seem to have their own circles. But they seem to like each other in a non-BFFy but genuine way. I like that their duet is getting in the way of the usual tabloid female catfight stories.
This isn’t Miranda’s best look. I think she looked better at last year’s CMAs, and there’ve been other promo appearances in the last few weeks where she’s looked better (not this week though).
I like Carrie’s look, and agree the big print works for her, and so do the loose flowy curls. It’s a pretty, not overly fussy look. Still wish she’d tone down the eye makeup in general. But more than anything she looks relaxed and comfortable, and at a show like this, that’s the way to go.
Yes…we should get out of the habit of pitting women against one another. Critique each separately, okay, but we really should become more aware that we are making it commonplace to become divisive versus unified. Human nature and interaction will be affected if we continue to pit women against women. Excuse the rant

I miss the days of Reba, and Faith, and Martina, Shania, JoDee Messina, Shelly Wright, Deana Carter. Those were some kick ass women, with power house voices

Miranda has messed with her face. It’s not just weight loss. I have no problem with plastic surgery, I have been both sucked and tucked. However, I am 35 you don’t start messing with your face in your 30’s.
You start messing with your face in your 30’s you are sorta screwed in your 40’s and 50’s, you end up looking like a Real Housewife.

According to google, she’s 1,60. That is short. She’s beautiful, but hardly tall and statuesque.

Miranda and Carrie are professional colleagues. Might not hang out outside the ‘office’, but they respect each others talent and success.

I kind of like the detailing on Miranda’s, but it’s too low cut and short. One or the other would have been better, but both together look cheap.

Miranda is cute but… She muscles up when she loses weight- I do the same and I swear the skinnier I was ( through exercise) the more sponge bob squarepants I looked. Like a gymnast or Brittany Spears- I like her with a little more weight on her, she seems softer. I hear Pilates will help w/ the Mary Lou Retton look but I decided fat was easier. I don’t care about her personal life or any of that, I like her music, I like that she writes some of her own songs,I like that her videos seem to imply she has a sense of humor. Pretty girl, pretty voice.
Who looked better? Why do we have to compare them? Carrie looks casual elegant and Miranda looks cute – she can’t help it. She always looks “cute” becasue she’s all dimples and teeth. I will not compare them. They are built completely different and are not the same age. They have different hair and styles, so there’s really no way to effectively compare them. I don’t beleive the tabloid gossip about Blake and Miranda. They got together under sketchy circumstances, but I don’t beleive he cheats on her. If they seem distant at times even during an awards show, my guess would be one of them irked the other over something minor. I got irked at my husband at my son’s band concert last night because I turned around and he was gone. He’s a talker and I was on a mission to get the car. I hope if people saw me irked they wouldn’t assume he was cheating on me, but rather I wanted a smoke during the break and he had the keys to the car and couldn’t stop talking to everybody and their brother.
I think they both look pretty. If I was at a wedding with both girls I’d dig Miranda’s outfit more and want to hang out w her. She looks like a fun girl with energy, that’s what I’m getting from her outfit, lets dance and sparkle…Carrie looks like let’s stand here and be boring.
I know I’ve said it before but someone once pointed out to me that all of Miranda’s facial features are on the lower 50% of her face, and I CANNOT unsee it. And I love Miranda.
