Matt Damon photographed shirtless and with his adorable baby daughter

These photos are a double treat in that we get to see Matt Damon without his shirt on along with what I believe is the first glimpse of his six month-old daughter, Gia Zavala. Damon, his wife Luciana and their daughters Gia, Isabella, two and a half, and Alexia (from Luciana’s first marriage) were spotted on vacation in the Caribbean on Monday. Damon was seen drinking a beer and watching his daughters play on the beach.

Damon, 38, gained from 20-30 pounds last summer for his role as a conflicted executive in the true-life drama The Informant. In order to gain weight quickly for the role, Damon said that he stopped working out, drank a lot of beer and ate burgers. He admitted that it was easier to gain weight in his late 30s than when he was in was in his 20s.

Damon had to lose weight quickly after that role as he needed to re-shoot scenes for his film The Green Zone in September. He seems to have gained some of the weight back, but he’s still super hot looking and looks great. It looks like he had a relaxing vacation with his family over Valentine’s Day weekend.

If there’s a link I’m going to click on, it’s one that says Matt Damon will be shirtless. I love him so much. He’s cute, smart and funny and I love those photos because his chest is great and not that impossibly perfect, this is all I do kind of thing (although that’s good too).

    I love me some Matt.

  2. bros says:

i hope to see his body splashed all over the gossip mags detailing his weight gain and history of gains and weight losses and unflattering outfits, such as this one with his beer and belly. then i hope to see the headline “matt damon’s revenge diet!” later on.

    double standards.

  3. vicsmith says:

I agree completely. Nothing hot about these pics.

  4. cara says:

I don’t exactly like this Damon, espec after his quotes during the election, but I DO like how in love his is with his wife. Look at the pic where his and is near her bottom, that’s sweet.

Yeeeh to men who treat their wives right.

    I see manboobs!

God, I love him. He’s a really good actor, IMO. Not bad looking. Seems to be a really devoted dad.

    Sigh.

    nice photos 😉

Bros – oh no, he put it on for a role, that’s ‘serious man’ weight gain, not the silly, friviolous type of weight us women put on because we’ve got body issues and no will-power. We have to be punished and rewarded (and then punished some more) for it, men, not so much. Double standards indeed.

I like Matt tho’, seems like a nice normal family guy and a good actor. Not hot but definitely nice.

  9. kate says:

i love matt damon – great actor and seems like a good guy.

  10. NotBlonde says:

No double standards kids, when Renee Zellweger gained weight for Bridget Jones, no one said a damn thing.

Gaining weight for a part does not equal just gaining a lot of weight.

Quit believing and perpetuating the myth.

Cute baby. I love babies at the bobblehead stage; their big round heads kill me.

  11. bros says:

only because she quickly lost the weight, notblonde. if it had remained, you can bet the mags would be squaking. in damon’s case, he obviously hasnt lost all of what he gained for the role, or has put it back on after he last lost it for a role and no one cares. his weight is allowed to fluctuate naturally and simson’s is not. period.

  12. Gemma says:

Gia looks so much like her big sis Isabella. Love that Matt is such a low key family man. Luciana looks great.

  13. geronimo says:

NotBlonde – “Gaining weight for a part does not equal just gaining a lot of weight. Quit believing and perpetuating the myth. ”

Eh? That doesn’t even make sense. Perpetuating what myth? The point being made was a much broader one than Matt’s weight gain for a role. I thouight that was obvious from bros’s original post. But apparently not. Hey ho.

  14. jayem says:

He looks HAWT, as usual. I have loved him ever since Good Will Hunting. He’s such the All-American boy who you find out is actually smart and interesting, but is still a total guy. Loves it!

  15. NotBlonde says:

Oh please, everyone was all up in arms after the first time she lost all her weight, saying she looked anorexic.

After the second movie she didn’t lose it as quickly an no one said a damn thing. I specifically remember that because I got into with a friend of mine who believes that crap about “double standards”.

Actresses don’t gain weight for roles (typically) so there is no comparison.

People were all up in Russel Crowe’s shit when he randomly showed up huge. People talk about John Travolta being fat and there were pictures of Jack Nicholson at the beach and Steve Martin at the beach with headlines like “Beached, Burned Whales” and nonsense like that. And they weren’t fat for roles, they were (and still are) just fat.

You must be looking in the wrong places because I see plenty of man-boob and people making fun of it.

  16. Celebitchy says:

This is Matt Damon, Jason Bourne people. He has a few more pounds than before but yes he is hot to me and there is no way I would not hit that. I do not see how people are calling him fat. I’m old, though I’m not quite as old as Damon he’s in my range.

I do see what people are saying about the double standard for women. It’s definitely not fair.

  17. Sally says:

These pictures should coming with a warning – fat, ugly pig looking bored and getting loaded on a beach while slapping his subservient, titty bar dancing wife on the butt as she, having just spotted the cameras, pretends to care for an infant. It’s interesting that in not one picture is anyone actually PLAYING with the kids. Great shot of the step-daughter though – oh wait – she’s not there. Again.

  18. Kelly says:

Wow… Sally honey… switch to decaf.

  19. Ned says:

I don’t like it when actors (and actresses included- no discrimination there) have to alter their appearance in order to play a part.

It doesn’t make you a better actor, and it doesn’t have to do with your acting ability and talent.

We have technology and makeup props for that matter.

  20. Sarah says:

I like it, a low-key family day at the beach just relaxing. Luciana gorgeous but yet isn’t all glammed up like a playboy bunny and Matt is just a dad enjoying a beer and hanging out with the fam. Its normal and I don’t think we should pick it apart to the extent of double standards for weight losses and gains. I agree with cb, this is Matt Damon, Jason Bourne. Can Hollywood just start making Bourne quality films all of the time? I wish, but no…there are few actors in the same league with Matt Damon.

  21. Richard Choffe says:

I imagine a shirtless mattadore/Scott poolside by moonlight twirling a red silk shirt around his motorcycle-helmet-bull doing a mock ballet to Liberace playing Malaguena.

  22. Brendan Quartararo says:

Matt Damon’s face is still really cute, BUT he needs to shed the weight off so that he looks like he did when he was named sexiest man alive!
