Gerard Butler had a day-time ice cream date with a mystery woman

Just Jared posted these photos of Gerard Butler and a “mystery woman” walking around NYC, and the Butler-loonie commenters went crazy. They went Full Dragonfly. And it just reminded me that every person has “their celebrity” that they go crazy for. For many of you, that’s Benedict Cumberbatch or Tom Hiddleston. For other people, it’s still G-But.

Anyway, I don’t know if this is Gerard’s new girlfriend or if their eyes met in a porto-potty and they just knew they had to take their relationship to the next level. I guess they could be friends too. It seems date-ish though. They wandered around New York, talking and laughing and while their body language doesn’t say “we’re banging on the regular,” it does say “we’ve banged a few times and we’re seeing how it works in daylight.” Which is bad because I don’t think G-But is at his best in daylight hours. Also: she’s carrying a tiny ice cream cone in a few of these photos. Ice cream date? That’s cute.

One thing I’ve always liked about Gerard is that he does seem to have a general type: he likes women of color. Of course he’s gone through stages where his type falls away (Brandi Glanville), but usually his girlfriends are olive-skinned, with long dark hair. They usually have long legs too. Michael Fassbender has a similar type, although I think Fassy goes for petite women of color where Gerard prefers tall, model-type women. So it’s no surprise that Fassy and Butler’s dating habits sometimes coincide (remember Madalina Ghenea?). I’m looking at this mystery woman… and yeah, Fassbender would be into her too.

I like Gerald Butler. I think he’s a highly underrated actor and I’m in awe of his law degree. And wow … she has great legs and exquisite skin, doesn’t she? 🙂

Looks like he’s finally managed to find someone close to his height (he’s 6’2″), too.

Kaiser is probably playing on what some of Gerald’s zealous fans are up in arms about … the fact that she’s a woman of color.

I knew a model who slept with him before he got gross. Dark skin, tall and thin. Alsoo Fassy’s type indeed. Personal hygiene was off, but it was by her account hot. This is his type and when he wasn’t grabbing a quickie in a portopotty I heard he always went for that sunkissed beach look if not darker.

Underrated actor? He’s my generations Sean Connery.
He was cuter in his younger years (not to say he’s old now, but you get my point) and no matter his role he’s scottish.
SC – Red October Russian with a scottish accent.
GB – 300 Greek with a scottish accent.
GB – How to TYD Viking with a strong scottish accent.
Still, he is a good actor.

So what you’re saying is that I need to book a trip to the UK…?? Of course we have interracial dating the US, but if I can land a cute guy with a cute accent, I’m totally going for it. At this point, my dating status isn’t just single, it’s “lonely-as-hell-but-still-resisting-to-get-cats-although–fish-are-a-strong-possibility”.

She’s a nice looking woman, whoever she is.

Nice of him to get all dressed up.

Ugh. She looks so cute, and he looks like a SCRUB! I hate it when guys wear sweats outside of the house…

I wish Butler would choose better projects because the man CAN act when given the right script. I will forever love him for Dear Frankie, one of my favorite movies.

I really enjoy him in more serious roles, the Rom-Coms, not so much.

Never understood why people like that awful.Channing Tatum’s White House Down more than Butler’s Olympus Has Fallen. The latter was the much better of the two White House under siege movies.

If he has a new lady, good for him.

When Coriolanus came out I hadn’t seen him in anything and only knew him from gossip sites and what was written about his private life.
I wanted to see the picture because of Ralph Fiennes and Vanessa Redgrave whom I basically worship. I was prepared to find him atrocious compared to these two. And I just loved his performance.

So, yes, I agree with you, with the right material, he can do great. Maybe he should stick to interesting projects in the UK. Going all Hollywood is maybe not the path.

      • eliza says:

I too, LOVED him in Coriolanus. In spite of what many thought, I really liked the movie.

  8. Santolina says:

From what I’ve read about his life, he’s survived trauma, loss, addiction, multiple careers — he’s a very complex, deep and intelligent man (not unlike his fellow countryman, Craig Ferguson). I hope he finds happiness.

  9. Sighs says:

I can’t for the life of me fathom why, but I really like him. I don think I’ve ever seen him in a movie and not liked him.

  10. Altariel says:

I wanted him so bad when he did 300 and Phantom of the Opera. But the poor guy has had such bad luck with his movies, I think it was crumbling him (drugs and dating around Hollywood). He was so happy to leave his law career behind when given the chance to become a movie star. But he is smart and he is a great actor. I just wish wish wish the guy would get a break and all I want for him nowadays is to be healthy and very very happy. If it’s this girl to help him, great! And if she’s just a buddy for ice cream, hey that’s nice too 🙂

What in a fresh hell is he wearing? Lord, this man has always seemed an uncouth slob to me.

    He looks like he reeks

Pl don’t compare G-but to TH and his 612 posts. Which u closed too early btw, I never got the chance to provide my theory that the no show at the modelling was due to his well known fear of wearing underwear. I always feel I should be more anti Gerard than I am, but he’s scots and what you see seems to be what u get so he’s bearable.

  14. aqua says:

He seems to be a sharp contrast to Keanu Reeves who I just finish reading on this site.

  15. Cali says:

Even though I know he’s a man-whore, I’d still hit it. And I don’t care how awful everyone thought The Ugly Truth was, I loved it and thought he had good chemistry with Katherine Heigl. I love all of his movies..and every.single.time I flip through and see P.S. I Love You on TV, I have to stop and watch it…

  16. aqua says:

Could their be even a remote possibility that they could just be friends?

  17. AMD says:

He can’t act period end of story even with a good script!! I do like him but that’s the truth!!
