It’s incredibly rare that we get any photos of Eddie Vedder at any time. He got pap’d last year in NYC, much to his surprise, and when I posted the photos, Vedder-loonie fan girls came out of the woodwork. So, let’s see if we can replicate it. These are some photos of Eddie in Milan yesterday after a Pearl Jam concert in San Siro. I like that he’s laughing about getting pap’d – it happens so rarely, he thinks it’s funny when people try to take his photo.
Eddie gives off the same kind of low-key Seattle-hippie vibes he always gives off. It should be a crime for him to wear those stupid trucker hats!! Before the Cumbercurls, there was Eddie’s gorgeous wavy locks. He had the best hair of all of the Seattle/grunge guys. I do love his salt-and-pepper goatee though. He’s 49 years old. He’ll turn 50 in December. God, I can’t believe that. That makes me feel SO OLD.
When I was looking for stuff to write about regarding Eddie, I came across this Facebook page. Do you think he really runs it? Do you think he’s really posting those #TBT photos and somewhat cheesy quotes? The page has 1.6 million likes, so I suspect he runs it or Team Vedder runs it. Weird.
So, would you hit it? Would I? Of course I would. Vedder is now and has been for literally DECADES my Forever Dong. I love him. I love his smile!

All. Day. Long.
“Would you hit it?”
Yip.
Splooooosh
ohhhhh yeaaaaahhhhhh…
Fer sure.
He still looks good to me plus he has a sexy-ass voice.
And I would have him sing Yellow Ledbetter in between. Gah, I love that song.
Crown of Thorns for me, thank you.
Release, oh yes
It would have to be Nothingman or Immortality for me. (I always did and still do swoon for a good old-fashioned Eddie ballad over the screamers ☺️)
Yes, but for the love, take off the lady glasses first.
Oh god yes. I just can’t. So bad. F#@k.
Yes! He looks great and I have heard that he is a very sweet, genuine, caring man.
Amen.
‘Til his hips break.
I would hit it like it’s still 1991!
lol. Eddie is cute. But I hate those pants.
Hahaha!! Yeah, me too!
Yes, I love me some Eddie Vedder always and forever!
The man has such a beautful voice, and he’s so talented yet down to earth. I’ve had a crush on him since my teen grunge years 20+ years ago….
I see that grunge style is alive and kicking (also still missing Kurt Cobain)! Yeah, I love the man, especially that exceptional voice (and it’s true about the fabulous locks). I just discovered “History Never Repeats”, Neil and Tim Finn live with Pearl Jam. Eddie added so much to the harmony. All told, I had died and gone to heaven.
Pearl Jam seem to epitomise integrity (and great taste). What is there not to love even when one is not in the habit of ‘hitting it’? Long may they (and he) rock.
Definitely! I love that PG has thrived as a band for so long. I’ve seen them live more than 6x now and still love them. Their show last year went on over 3 hours!
I like that Eddie stands for something – he’s trying to make the world a better place. Pearl Jam is one of the only bands to take on the ticketmaster monopoly. They didn’t win, but they fought a good battle.
I haven’t seen “History Never Repeats”, but I’ll check it out. Thanks!
StuperStef,
I just watched a video of it . I was originally looking for the Split Enz version and discovered it on audio (I am a Crowded House fanatic).
I vividly remember when Pearl Jam took on Ticketmaster. It was just so remarkable. Just amazing. And IIRC for a few years afterwards, they were pretty well dead in the water. And now, here they are again, risen like the Phoenix.
@TheOneAndOnly makes a good point about the cowardly /greedy indifference of everyone else when Pearl Jam made their stand. It may not have changed much in the business world , but the fact is, it made the world a warmer and better place knowing someone with clout did their best to rage against the machine. Reminds me a bit of Neil Young who refused coroporate sponsors and sang about it as well. It may not seem like much, but it keeps people like me going. They are NOBODY’S b!tch.
Right? I hate that the 90s are back, but I’m glad that kids today are too dumb to try and bring back grunge. They can keep Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift. We had real musicians who had a social conscience.
Grunge forever!!!
Yes to everyone above, have seen them live including when they opened for the Stones; straight up music like it should be. Good point about PJ taking on Ticketmaster – you notice no one else stepped up – not urban, country, emo whatever – to support them. There most recent tour sold out in most places – including my locale – in ten minutes. Pop stars of today can only hope for their integrity and longevity.
Me too! I started crushing on him when I was eleven or twelve and just never stopped.
How wonderful!! Love him 🙂
I will love him forever, but Chris Cornell had the best hair.
yes he did
Yup, when it was very long, it was definitely the best hair. Then he chopped it to shoulder length and apparently stopped washing it, and it has been downhill ever since. *sigh*
He had it really short starting in 94 or so when they released Superunknown. It was short to the end of the 90’s, maybe into 2003 or so. It was definitely short with Audioslave. He started growing it out again shortly before “Scream” (which I only barely recognize as having ever been produced).
I mean….yummy with short hair….

HA – I just found this article. I’m sorry, I’d still hit the recent Jesus Cornell look and I’d hit it HARD. Not so much the frosted tips though. I want the extremes with him. All dark and short short, or all dark and long, at least to his shoulders.

I was just coming on here to write the same thing!!
@embertine. I love me some Chris Cornell but I’ve seen some pictures that suggest that he may have stopped washing it in the 90s…I think that he, Kurt Cobain before his demise, and Dave Grohl all did…
Oh yes! Mr. Cornell is still one of the hottest @sses in music or anywhere.
Yes, yes, yes. His voice makes my insides quiver.
Chris Cornell is on my top 5 dong List, and Eddie is there too. My music playlist is 75% Pearl Jam/Soundgarden/Cornell and SG is my favorite band of all time. Was lucky enough to see SG and Pearl Jam last year (for the first time) when they both came to Boston.
So to answer your question, OMG yes. With the white hot passion of 1000 suns. YEEESSSSS
Temple of the Dog – one of the best rock albums period.
To this day my heart STILL skips a beat and becomes instantly flooded with 90’s high school nostalgia whenever I hear Chris Cornell belt out “Burden in My Hand” or “Sunshower” from the Great Expectations soundtrack or with that beautiful voice.
God. I cannot believe that both bands were in MY CITY just last year(?!) and somehow I never heard anything about it until now. I would have pretty much paid anything to be at that show!
Yup.
He’s looking great.
Thanks for making me click on his FB page. Cheesiness aside, he’s sexy as hell and that Rolling Stone cover from 1996?
YUM.
Whoa!! Back off he’s mine. I used to be soooooooooooo in love with him. Still love him. He’s still sexy and I’d hit it all day long..
God I love him!!! Thank you for posting the pics!!
Yes, I would hit it hard!
I think that he gets better with age.
Ha ha! I love his “no pictures!” poses.
Love him! But why his his FB cheesy? That RS cover is one of my favorite pics of him.
The quotes on there are his song lyrics
New York City mid 90’s. In a small bar with my man and in walks Eddie, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins. I almost swallowed my tongue. Eddie is THE MAN but, he is THE SHORT MAN. He’s gotta be 5’6″ at the most. But, who cares!! I’d hit it forever.
I met him also in Hawaii. He was at a bar with Dennis rod man of all people. He gave me his beer which he didn’t like and bought me another after. Really nice, humble sweet man. Then he leapt on stage where a band was playing and played like 5-6 songs with the band. There was only about 50 of us in the bar at that time. It was amazing. I think it was 1996 or 97. And yes he was tiny and I towered over him at 5’7.
I have an irrational hatred of this man. COMPLETELY irrational. And I can admit that I have no reason to hate him, but his voice drives me up the wall. It’s the constant warbling slurring. Blech.
Something nice: He looks FANTASTIC.
I used to hate him too when I was younger. Even though I liked a lot of Pearl Jam’s songs. When I would see his face the rage would rise in my chest. Now, he doesn’t bother me so much.
I should rename my nickname as Remember the ’90s, because yes, yes, and hell yes.
The fact that Eddie stood up for women so publicly in the ’90s in the press and in his music made me heart him forever.
Oh man, I miss the long hair era……
ALL DAY ERRY DAY
yes! all. day. long.
Beautiful man, inside and out – yes, yes, yes , YES!!!! He is on a higher plane than most other men (see also Alan Rickman). 😛
Add me to the “hitting it” queue….. my Lawd. I want that voice in my ear allll night. Even during his drunkest days on stage…
Always and forever
Yes, yes, yes! Ed always and forever!
I’ll see him again at 6/26 Pearl Jam concert in Berlin. I can’t wait!
Yup- forever dong status for me. Seeing PJ in October- can’t wait!
Hubby and I have 5 celebrity people on each of our fantasy ‘lists’ that we are allowed to have outside marital relations should the opportunity ever arise. :). Occasionally they change people, but Eddie has always been #1 on mine!!! The voice! The hair! The angst! The fact he’s only 5’6″ would be something I could totally overlook….
Ever see that portlandia clip with Eddie? So great.
I would have to wait in line, AFTER MY HUSBAND…. He Loves him!
Eddie Veder is 49??????
Yes. Always. Anywhere. Any time. And he would also have to sing to me. His voice makes me weak in the knees!!!!!
Good God yes!
OMG, YES! Just saw PJ Mon & Tues night this week in Amsterdam…he hasn’t lost an ounce of sex appeal.
Eddie is the MAN!
Heck, my 74 year old Mom even belongs to the Ten Club because she loves Pearl Jam.
I have loved him since I was 13 (23 years!, whoa). He is my forever dong as well. I live in NYC and see famous people all the time, but if I saw him I would probably fall over. Also, I agree with the trucker hat issue.
YYYEEEESSSSS!
WOW! almost 50? DAYUM! yep.
My BFF & I saw them about 6 months ago. My VERY favorite part of the show was when, upon seeing 2 dads in the general admission section each with a child on their shoulders, asked security to allow the kids to sit on the side of the stage. He commented that they would be able to see better from there, and it would give their dads a break. Class. Act.
Made me fall in love with him all over again. So, yeah. I’d hit it. 🙂
The best thing about Ed is that he is and always has been a kick ass, unapologetic Feminist.
He’s friends with Gloria Steinem for god sake!
He knows what’s expected of a man – making sure that women are respected.
I love guys who embrace getting older and let the wrinkles come, graying goatee (my husband has one, too) and don’t try to dye their hair or look 25 when they’re clearly not. The guys in Metallica are like this, too.
Love Eddie. Miss the good “old” days of grunge, my youth and the 1990’s.
God yes.
Love all you ladies showing some love for the older man that are posted on celebitchy once in a while. So I’ll join you all and say yes.
Oh my God. This man ❤️ Yes. Just so much always and forever yes.
I’ll be 31 this summer so Pearl Jam and a young, gorgeous, flannel-ed, long haired 20-something Eddie Vedder and the rest of the band were at the height of their Grunge era fame (*sigh* Curt Cobain too) when I was in middle school aka puberty years. Maybe it’s because of that, or his quiet decades long philanthropy, that he’s a happily married family man now or THAT VOICE but Eddie V. will absolutely always be one of my “forever dongs” too ☺️ So, so much talent.
NO! He is not my type. Where is Jeff?
