Jessica Simpson posts family photos, she does ‘not want another’ baby

jess1

Jessica Simpson (new name: Jessica Johnson) and Eric Johnson are back from their honeymoon. It was a pretty short one – I think they only went away for a week and I’m pretty sure they left Ace and Maxi with Jessica’s mom (or maybe her dad). Because unlike Kim Kardashian and Kanye, I think Jessica and Eric actually enjoy being parents and don’t like to leave their kids for lengthy periods of time. That being said, Jessica is pretty firm on not wanting another baby. At least not right away.

Jessica was posting pics on her Instagram and she regrammed a photo of one of her friend’s babies, writing: “I love you Jack, but I do not want another!!” This is just the latest hint that she’s dropped that she’s probably done with the whole baby thing, at least for now. I don’t blame her at all – Maxi and Ace are 13 months apart, and they look like they’re nearly the same age anyway. Her body needs a “rest” before she even thinks about having another kid. That being said, she’s only 34 years old. She has some time if she wants to have another kid. Plus, I think that Jessica is probably a Fertile Myrtle (do people still say that?).

Jessica did write for one of these IG pics: “I love this man, our marriage, and everything in between.” Well… I hope she’s happy. Really, I do. I think Eric is a bit of a K-Fed, but he seems like a hands-on father and they do seem to enjoy each other. Let’s hope it lasts, people.

She does look a bit tired, bless her.

  2. GiGi says:

She’s really very pretty, isn’t she? And the babies are darling… but I’d be done, too, if I were her!

She has her own money, yes… but wasn’t this guy in the NFL? If he played enough, he probably has NFL pension, which is nothing to sneeze at, but certainly not the type of earnings Jessica has. My point is that he’s probably not KFed. I have no idea what he does for work now, though… keeps Jessica happy?

    • Jedi says:

I think hes more of a “stay at home dad” now. with lots of help and nannies and money. so, yeah, his job is probably just make Jessica happy haha

    • Jessica says:

Eric got paid the minimum when he played in the NFL. This guy is no Tony Romo. He did not make millions.

He is only worth $100,000. look up his net worth.

      • GiGi says:

I know he didn’t make millions… but my point is that if he did his required amount of games, he’s getting annuity and will have pension, too. It might not be a lot compared to Jessica’s wealth, but he is still bringing in money.

    • holly hobby says:

He doesn’t work so that makes him Well-Fed.

  3. Belle Epoch says:

He looks like the twin of Tori Spelling’s husband. Same scruff and eyes too close together. Both married celebrity blondes, started making kids, seem to have no intention of working. Two big wieners, I mean winners.

    • Sabrine says:

Tori’s husband has done some acting work in Canada and then there’s their reality shows. He’s done a lot more than this Eric has. Eric is a stay at home dad. For now it’s okay but if she loses respect for him, then that is the death knoll for the marriage. Looking after two small children is work certainly and it’s not like he really has to work when Jessica is so successful.

      • MMRMB says:

I’m canadian – and sadly “acting in Canada” is the equivalent of lifetime & hallmark movies and now his roadkill face is ruining ‘Chopped – Canada’. He’s not exactly gaming it and flourishing as an “actor” . JS husband probably makes more money in his annuities.

      • Summer says:

Why is it ok for a woman to be a stay at home mother and a man to be the bread-winner, but it’s not ok for the man to take care of his children while the woman works? Why should she lose respect for him? Is there something shameful about being the primary caregiver?

This constant reinforcement of the idea that roles that have traditionally been filled by women are degrading, less fulfilling, or shameful is very tiring.

  4. Cherry says:

That bottom pic… she’s gotten really thin again, yes? I sort of get the feeling that showing off her pretty face and ‘new’ body is the main point of these photos…?

    • Lucy2 says:

It definitely is. Given all the grief she got for her weight, I don’t blame her for wanting to show off, but at the same time it’s still kind of annoying.

      • HH says:

Yes, but she wasn’t posting such photos at her heavier weight. This is hypocritical to me because she was one of those stars that supposedly loved who she was heavier. There’s no shame in saying I packed on a few pounds, but I’d like to drop the weight.

      • Anon says:

Hh i think you just need to go back and review.. Why would she post that when the tabloids were on her like dogs. Did you want duplicate pics? Nothing hypocritical at all here.

      • HH says:

@Anon – I get what you’re saying, but the actions come off as hypocritical. Posting continual pics showing off your body now that you’re thin does not read that you were proud of your body previously. And while there were people were making fun of her weight gain, I also recall people making fun of the outfit she wore (i.e. the mom jeans). That’s what really kicked it all off.

    • supposedtobeworking says:

I haven’t checked out her instagram account, and I do not follow her at all, but I do give media a side eye, too, in the coverage of celebs. Perhaps she did post the same number of photos, perhaps less revealing, but the mainstream media didn’t repost and blog about them as much? Size 4 and above girls don’t sell as well as smaller girls, right?

  5. Mzizkrizten says:

If he is k-fed-isn’t her he’s being classier about it LOL. I think they’re an adorable family. She needs to stop losing weight now though.

  6. MrsBPitt says:

She probably doesn’t want to think about having another one right now, but it wouldn’t surprise me if she ended up pregnant again, on purpose or by accident!

    • Rhea says:

Lol. I was going to say this. I said basically the same thing with her before and now I’m pregnant with my third one.
      Never say never…. 😉

  7. Barrett says:

That skinny bobble head shot gives me the willies!

  8. eliza says:

Good grief. I wish women would lay off the lip fillers.

    • I was thinking that her lips are a bit more trout like as well. But she is a beautiful girl even with the trout pout.

    • Wren says:

I agree! I hope she’s happy but those lip injections have to go. They diminish her beauty. In the top pic her lips make her whole face look weird and somehow older. Like there’s a bunch of wrinkles photoshopped out.

    • Camille (The Original) says:

It looks awful! And I don’t think she looks pretty in these shots either. Never gotten her appeal.

      • lisa says:

i always thought i was alone ((camille))

i think the top part of her face is strange, like cro magnon around the top of the nose and the eyes. i dont find her attractive at all

  9. serena says:

What did he do for a job before meeting her?

    • Jessica says:

Nothing, His last Job was playing for the NFL in 2007. The New Orleans Saints let him go in 2008.

He has done absolutely nothing since getting with Jessica.

He also did not make millions playing either. His net worth is only $100,000.

      • Anon says:

Please do you really believe that net worth crap..Honestly.. LoL

      • t says:

Anon…do you believe that net worth crap about Jessica? I don’t. I don’t believe she is worth anywhere near as much as her camp would like us to believe with what they leak to the tabloids.

      • Sassy says:

They live in California, a community property state. Everything she has earned after their marriage is half his. Not a bad life.

  10. Jade says:

I’ve been reading that this guy basically stays at home. At first I thought yucks but if my husband and I do not have to work full time, why beat it? Life is about spending time with family and having a ball. I think both have earned it so I don’t really see him as a gold digger. Take it as an early retirement for both.

    • Ag says:

i totally agree with you. the slack this dude gets is almost… sexist? like he HAS to work outside the home because he’s a guy and HAS to earn money. nothing he could ever do professionally would earn a fraction of what jessica’s many ventures bring in. they have more money that they could spend in several lifetimes. so, why not hang out with the kids at home if you can? my husband would def do that if i made enough money to upkeep our family. and they seem happy – so, good for them. 🙂

    • Jessica says:

Eric SHOULD do something with his life. he has a degree from Yale,
What is preventing him from getting off his lazy ass and getting a job to support his family?

I don”t care how much money Jessica makes, her husband should contribute something.

Do you actually think he stays at home all day taking care of their kids?????

      • Ag says:

no, i don’t think he takes care of the kids by himself – i’m sure they have nannies. i, clearly, have no clue what he does at home, or how much he does with the kids.

what if this IS what he chooses to do with his life? what if being a stay-at-home husband/dad IS his gig? being home with the kids is a HUGE contribution, despite the fact that one doesn’t make money for it (at least not in the US). i don’t understand why he’s getting so much crap for it just because he’s a guy.

      • littlemissnaughty says:

I’m sorry but … says who? You? Just because he doesn’t fit your image of what a husband (man in General?) SHOULD be like or should do? I really don’t think he or his wife care what you or I think. If he were a woman, nobody would say much. There are plenty of women with degrees and they stop working because a) they can and b) they want to spend time with the kids. We applaud them for putting the kids first (well, I don’t necessarily) but when a man does it … THE HORROR!
They have money. Who cares what he does.

    • Mixtape says:

I’m with you, Jade. If the roles were reversed–i.e., Eric was the breadwinner and Jessica was earning no money and staying at home with the kids, we would not demand that she go out and work. We might begrudge the fact that she gets a lot of help by the way of housekeepers and nannies, and we might be a bit envious of her wealth and luck, but we would understand that, when the money is plentiful, there is no need work–enjoy it.

  11. jmho says:

My goodness they make beautiful babies though….

  12. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

    So tired of tongues.

    • mimif says:

I know. WHY? For the love of all that’s holy, just stop already.

    • Nicolette says:

Agree, it’s just disgusting and no one wants to see it. Aside from that photo she looks great though.

    • mary simon says:

+1 What a gross and immature plea for attention. Also, the guy’s eyes are so dull – he looks like a total washout – doesn’t seem to have much ambition or personality.

  13. kri says:

WTF is wrong with her face in that top photo?! Is it me or is she a bit Pam Anderson in her look lately? Normally, I think her face is quite beautiful. She looks…tired here. I say, get a style update, Jessica.

    • Josephine says:

Looks like bad botox, which can cause the eyes to droop. Surprised she posted such a homely looking pic. I agree that she desperately needs to stop with the bambi look and try for something more sophisticated and grown up. The constant posting, even on her dang honeymoon, screams insecure. Give it a rest, girl.

  14. Kcarp says:

No one would say anything if he was working bringing home the paychecks and she stayed home with the kids.

What does Matt Damon’s wife do? Is she still slinging cocktails? Nope and no one says a word about her being with the kids while he works.

  15. Jess says:

She really is gorgeous, I do wish she’d stop poking her lips out like that, it isn’t necessary. They seem happy, and the kids are both absolutely adorable! Im still shocked at how successful she’s been, she was one of the last pop divas to come out of the Britney era and I figured she’d just fade away, but newlyweds really gave her a jump, she’s obviously smarter than she acts.

    • t says:

I guess that’s how it’s spun in the tabloids…she’s smart….but really all she does is promotional work for designers. Being a human billboard (and turning her kids into human billboards) does not require intelligence.

  16. Cupcake says:

One week away from children that are only 1 and 2 is a very long time.

  17. Anon says:

I find in very interesting that this was picked up as a story but nothing and totally ignored a beautiful wedding. So much detail and thought in the wedding that we have not seen in ages.
Too bad people didn’t want to know more about Eric why his career ended, how good he really was or the record that still stands with the niners. He still has a record from Yale so even though his career was short lived six years which is about what any of them get now he was very productive. Sadly a concussion, a viscious hit, broken sternum and then other injuries to foot from another sidelined Eric. He is very well thought of and very well liked. He is no K Fed.A lot is kept very private on Eric.

    • LNG says:

I didn’t know that about him – thanks for sharing!
I think its always nice to see a man who is secure with his wife making more money than him and who is ok with staying home with the kids. In order for women to succeed to the same level as men in many careers having someone at home (if there are children involved) is necessary. They’re at the level where they can afford all the help they need, of course, but I also don’t think there is anything wrong with wanting to stay home if you can afford to do it. My husband and I both have demanding, stressful careers (and no kids yet!) and either of us would stay home with the future kids in an instant if we could afford to do so.

I agree about the wedding – I watched the video on People and it was absolutely beautiful.

    • Ag says:

that’s interesting about eric, i had no idea.

and i agree that it speaks well to his character and their relationship that he’s kosher with “just” staying home.

i wish them nothing but the best.

  18. littlestar says:

I have to say, it bothers me how much flack Eric gets on here for not “working”. Who cares? They obviously seem happy and they can very well afford for all of them to stay home and do nothing. It’s not like Jessica actually works either – she’s not the one designing the clothes or marketing them etc, it’s merely her name on them and she makes money off of them using her name as a “brand”. Why can’t men in this day and age be stay at home dad’s and NOT get grief for that?

Besides the fact that he went to Yale and played in the NFL (btw, don’t you have to go to university in order to play for the NFL? Makes sense why he went to Yale then), we really don’t know anything about this guy. Whereas we knew TOO much about Kevin Federline. I’m inclined to believe that he’s actually with Jessica because he loves her and their children, not because he wants the publicity.

    • Lucy2 says:

If any parent, male or female, wants to and can stay home with their kids, I think that’s great.
The only thing I side-eye is what he was doing in the time between them meeting and the first kid being born.

    • Franny Days says:

THANK YOU. My father was a stay at home dad and everyone’s little snipes about Jessica’s husband and hinting that he is less of a man or a “K-Fed” annoys me to no ends. My mom happened to make a lot of money and my dad was the one who quit his job to stay at home with us because he wasn’t making nearly as much. He did so much for us and took care of us and our home. For a blog with a lot of self-professed feminists there sure are a lot of judgmental backwards comments.

  19. Velvet Elvis says:

Why does everyone in Hollywood believe that getting fake lips make them look better!?!? Jessica is gorg on her own. The plumped up trout pout needs to go the hell away.

  20. smn1985 says:

Amen franny days! Why is Eric a deadbeat just because Jessica is the breadwinner? I even give KFed a pass because he genuinely seemed like a hands on dad. Why are stay at home moms given a pass, but stay at home dads get called deadbeats? Such a double standard.

  21. Nikita says:

IF he is K-Fed, what is Jessica Simpson? The Blonde Kim K. from 2002? How did Jessica got famous? With her music career? Nope. Shes a realitystar who got very lucky. What does Jessica really do? What is her “REAL” Job? She sells some stuff? Does she sing or act or does tv jobs? what?
She was K-Fed in its first place cause Nick had more money, succsess and fame then her.
She got famous because she was funny symphatic and pretty. Thats it. She has no talent. Shes just famous for being herself.
And i dont think that it should be important if Eric is a millionair or not. You can see that they are in love. Jessica is a beautyful woman, who wouldnt fall in love with her? Its not very hard to fall in love with pretty people.

  22. Anon says:

Just a follow up on Eric. His mother is a very prominent lawyer in Boston, does many lectures at Harvard and places. His father is a house renovator or carpenter. Eric knows full well what it is to live with prominent strong women amd yes Jessica is one of those.
