Kim Kardashian brings Nori to the airport, says Nori runs like it’s a ‘marathon’

FFN_Kardashian_North_BJJ_STOIANOV_080714_51497198

I just realized that North West has inherited the “Sad Kanye” Face. This little girl always looks so concerned, y’all. It’s not that she’s sad or even tantrumy or upset. She just looks concerned. Like she’s trying to figure out this crazy world. Like she can’t understand who this cat-faced woman is. I can see the wheels in little North’s brain working and she still can’t make sense of it. But Nori is such a pretty little girl. I don’t understand what Kim is trying to do to Nori’s hair though. Why does it look so greasy?

Anyway, these are new photos of Kim Kardashian and her daughter at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank. Nori arrived without shoes! I imagine that probably makes it faster to go through security – no baby shoes to take on and off. Kim’s jeans are a style atrocity though. So terrible.

Kim recently did an interview with E! News about Nori and how she’s growing. Kim says: “If we’re outside on the grass, it’s like a full marathon. She’ll run—she’ll do whatever. Inside, she’s just a little more cautious.” Kim says that inside the house, Nori wants to hold her hand and Nori will walk around with “this little shopping cart.” Adorable.

  1. Kat says:

Kaiser, I think she might have straightened Noris hair.

    • mayamae says:

Please, please, tell me you don’t mean chemically straightened.

      • Audrey says:

It wouldn’t look greasy if it was chemically done

Probably oil or water. At worst, she put some gel in it.

      • Ivy says:

Why would she do that ? Noris hair aren’t curly … I think she just tried to style her .

      • Kat says:

@audrey @Ivy she has a bit of kink in her hair. its not like a european childs hair where you can just put some water or oil in it and it sits like that. She either used some strong styling product or she straightened it.

      • Audrey says:

A lot of people style their kid’s hair

My friends with boys use water or gel to do mohawks

      • Audrey says:

North looks like she has curly hair. But not kinky or African American.

It’s likely curly but still baby fine. Water or oil would hold it in place. Or gel

It could also be a product like pink lotion

      • AlmondJoy says:

Sigh. Kat, just so you know, many biracial and African American babies’ hair can be slicked down with water and gel. Our hair comes in all forms.

      • K says:

Agree @Almondjoy. Where were you yesterday, the ‘Ye debate was crazy. That whole thread was a mess.

      • AlmondJoy says:

        Hey K! 👋

About the Kanye post.. I KNEW it would stress me out lol.. I avoided it at all costs!

      • Kat says:

@AlmondJoy um why are you assuming i am white? I am biracial. My hair was pretty much the same texture as Nori when i was a baby, so i know all about the different textures of black hair. My sisters and brothers we have different types of hair but you’d have to use some industrial strength hair products to make it stick like that for any length of time. Either way i am not pro straightening a childs hair whatever she did with it. You should watch Chris Rocks movie “Good Hair” if you haven’t already.

      • AlmondJoy says:

Kat, never once did I say anything about your race or assume you were white. You just made a statement that seemed ridiculous to me, so I replied with what I feel to be correct. You said “it’s not like a European child’s hair where you can just put some water or oil in it and it sits like that.” I disagree. I’ve been doing hair for years and you CAN put water and oil in a baby’s hair and get those results. And yess I love Good Hair 😊 I own the movie and have seen it several times.

      • Kat says:

        @AlmondJoy
        I quote
“Sigh. Kat, just so you know, many biracial and African American babies’ hair can be slicked down with water and gel. Our hair comes in all forms.”
I don’t think you would have phrased it quite this way if you thought the person you were speaking to had personal knowledge of african textured hair, there would be no need. We disagree about this fair enough, but i wish people wouldn’t be so personal in their retorts. Not that you were the worst. 🙂 Being called an idiot and ridiculous for voicing an opinion that is my personal experience is not very nice.

      • AlmondJoy says:

“I don’t think you would have phrased it quite this way if you thought the person you were speaking to had personal knowledge of african textured hair, there would be no need”

Lol not true. My mother is black and she had zero knowledge of hair and always came to my sister and I for advice. It’s one of the reasons that made us want to Iearn! I also have friends who are black women and they have no idea how to care for their
        hair.

Let’s agree to disagree on this subject. I didn’t call you an idiot, but I do think it was ridiculous of you to make a sweeping generalization about the hair of all biracial babies. Didnt mean to offend you though, so I do apologize.

      • Sabrine says:

A mother is entitled to change her daughter’s hair style with some gel, water or whatever, maybe even put it up in a pony tail and add some hair clips or whatever. Whatever, it is, Nori looks adorable. These suspicious sounding comments are ridiculous.

      • Kat says:

@AlmondJoy I don’t think i am making more of a sweeping statement than what some of these others made. They (and you) are simply sharing your own experiences of black hair in your families. None of us can speak with authority on a celebrity child’s hair. I just offered my opinion just as everyone else did.

      • K says:

        @Almondjoy

LOL! The minute I saw the headline I knew it was gonna be a huge mess but I couldn’t stay away! Just a train wreck but I wasn’t expecting anything less.😂

      • Dame Snarkweek says:

        Kat
No offense, but AlmondJoy just may have phrased her response the way she did because few people truly familiar with black hair would make the statement you did. While babies/toddlers many black children have hair that ranges from cobweb fine to tightly curled spirals. If the child is biracial multiply the variety, color and texture by a thousand. It’s all quite lovely.

      • Kat says:

        Dame Snarkweek
Hmm your comment … i have sisters and brothers and cousins of all creeds and colours and different textures hair. So i think i am reasonably well informed. I am not a hairdresser though so maybe i am not what you call “truly familiar”… 😉
That said none of us can really make absolute statement on someone else’s childs hair. This is however a discussion board and Kaiser opened up for the discussion.
I understand that some of you got pissed off because i suggested that kim might have straightened her childs hair but like i said i don’t understand the need to make personal comments. Its not something i expect from posters on this site.
Its was just an opinion based my knowledge and experience. You have a different one, and thats good and thats great!

      • AlmondJoy says:

Kat, I appreciate you sharing your opinion. As I said downthread, I do hair. So I’m speaking not only about black hair textures in my own family, but the many women and families that came to the salon I worked at for close to 10 years.

Dame Snarkweek: Thank you. Your explanation is much better than mine!

      • Dame Snarkweek says:

        Kat
When you make a sweeping statement without something to indicate that it is a personally held opinion and not universally applicable people will usually call you on it. However, I can assure you that I was not ‘pissed’ as you put it, nor do I think your comments are unappreciated or scorned – some just don’t agree with them. I will also presume to speak for Almond Joy and attest that she, also, meant no harm. I have always found her to be engaging, humorous and informed -not to mention respectful.

If I hurt your feelings in any way I sincerely apologize. :)opening up interesting topics for discussion is what CBers do best!

      • AlmondJoy says:

K: lol!!!! I make it a point to avoid all Kanye posts and usually Kim posts as well. They leave me grouchy and irritated. I should have stuck with that rule today, huh? 😂😄

      • Kat says:

        @almondJoy Thanks for sharing yours ! 🙂
        Dame Snarkweek
I honestly don’t really see that my comments on this was any more sweeping than those comments that say it has to be oil and water because my “i do that on my daughter or niece”. They are coming from the same perspective they are using their experiences to state an opinion. I disagree on you about the assessment of tone in these posts, when people call you idiotic and ridiculous and make comments to suggest you don’t know about black hair, it sort of suggest that someone is getting worked up and at the very least its quite belittling. Personally i think its possible to disagree or “call someone out” on their opinion without making these type personal comments. Have a nice day! 🙂

      • Pandy says:

This thread has gone on way too long. I think we can all agree that we are here to snark on Kim, not each other?

      • Laura says:

Oh please, people in here call her ignoring every day. Everybody makes comments abort how her parents dont care about her is that supposed to be better? All kaiser and a few other posters did was make the observation that her hair looks straighter. Which it does. Who knows why but lets not act like its worse to say this as opposed to when y’all say she is ignored by her parents. That breaks my Heart. The comments about her looks not so much. I have seen fair worse about blue ivy.

      • yolo112 says:

I know it may only apply to other topics discussed here, but isn’t there a “safe” word to use when things get all….^^^ like that?!? Geez.

        BALLS.

        so sensi about HAIR. lmao

      • jenny12 says:

I don’t think she chemically straightened it. Babies have fine hair and not a lot of it- you can’t straighten babies’ hair. I think she has wet hair? Or smoothed it down with product? She’s a darling baby….. People make a lot of assumptions. Just ask someone what was meant. Opinions are not always reality.

      • Dame Snarkweek says:

        Kat
You are aware that we can still see your original post, right? You state that European babies can achieve straight hair with water or oil but otherwise straighteners or strong product is necessary. Totally incorrect but I get that this is your opinion based on personal experience. Agree to disagree 🙂

      • John says:

        @dame snark week
What is so offensive about Kats comment to you? I think it’s a bit over the top to keep going at her.
Celebitchy- Its a fun place where we snark at Celebrities
We don’t snark at eachother. Let’s keep it that way.

    • Bernice says:

A baby her age doesn’t need straightened hair? Couldn’t all the chemicals be bad for a little developing baby? It seems like something Kim would do though.

      • Greyson says:

I don’t think she used any chemicals. Just gel. But it makes me side-eye that she already using products to change her biracial daughter’s natural hair texture.. You can style hair without straightening it.

      • Darbie says:

It may be Vaseline in her hair. It’s a fairly common practice for parents to put that on a baby’s hair to control scalp conditions….and in Kimmy Kat Face’s case, a hit of “unruly” hair. Plus, her hair has been super slicked and greasy looking lately. Yuck.

      • Leaflet says:

OMG, Kim didn’t use products to change her babies hair texture. It looks like she just used oil and water to slick it down like MOST black folks do with their babies hair. Every black child Nori’s age that I know of hair slicks down like this. Please stop the ridiculousness. You might not like Kim, but let’s not get all hyperbolic with the rumors.

    • GiGi says:

I loathe the Kardashians… but this is just a ridiculous statement.

      • Naye in VA says:

Generally. I mean the Kardashians are crazy but it would take little of nothing to just put some baby oil gel in that girls hair and it be straight. Yeesh people get it together.

      • Penny says:

@ Gigi why is it ridiculous? I see small black kids with straigtened hair all the time in my neighbourhood. If gwen stefani can color her sons hair I don’t see why one would think a surgically enhanced person such as Kim world be above straightening her kids hair?i am not in a positon to verify if she did, but it strikes me as equally ridiculous if you will to suggest she hasn’t, based on her need to alter her natural looks. .

      • GiGi says:

@Penny – I don’t know one person who would put lye on a one year old’s head. Not one. I know many women who’d LIKE to have their kids’ hair straightened while they’re young but the salon ladies in my area are firmly against it until they’re much older. And I don’t think Kim’s taking Nori in for a doobie… yet!

      • Gypsy says:

I sat here reading all this hair stuff and it’s like a crazy chicken coop of wild statements and innuendos, about a baby they have NEVER seen in person and a family they have NEVER met.
why this crazy obsession about hair?
Just accept that the baby has DNA from her mother and father and in some cases more DNA from her mother who birthed her. – THERE! PROBLEM SOLVED.

      • jenny12 says:

Yes on the Gwen Stefani thing. I could not believe what she was doing to young kids’ hair- those chemicals are POISON.

    • tracking says:

I agree @Almondjoy, looks like a bit of gel or oil to me. Baby hair at that age is a funny length and can be quirky. My husband used to complain that our kids’ hair didn’t look “neat” at this age. I used a small amount of product to smooth down. I’m sure KimK would have gotten plenty of shade had Nori’s hair looked unkempt.

      • AlmondJoy says:

Tracking: agreed!! We slick my neices hair down with a little bit of water and coconut oil. I worked in a hair salon for years before I started teaching, and I can look at North’s hair and see that it has not been chemically processed.

    • Kathy says:

Cute kid but we all know she is done. You just don’t recover from your mother being Kim Kordashian and father being Kanye West. It’s over. This kid will be struggle with body image her whole life. See you in rehab.

      • Nicole says:

Kanye had a great relationship with his mother. Kim and her family are close. Maybe the kid will be loved and protected and end up just fine.

    • Miffy says:

Wow, when we’re feeling critical of someone they just can’t win. Noris hair has product or is.being chemically straightened but Blue Ivys hair gets annihilated for being natural.

I loves my snark but can we draw the line at babies?

      • Aussie girl says:

Agreed. She is just a sweet little baby who’s hairs been done. If this was gwen for no doubts little boys or as I remember Maddox with his Mohawk and hair colour as a baby, we all be saying how cute.

      • Penny says:

        @aussie girl
i dont think you understand that Black hair is a historically sensitive issue in the African American community

    • lukie says:

Sorry Kat, but as a curly haired black/ multi racial curly haired lady, I disagree.

Its not straightened; its some type of oil and water. My mother did it to my sisters and I when we were babies all the time. Her curls haven’t really kicked in yet, nor is her hair thick. Oil and water would work just fine.

    • mel2 says:

5 points for Kim K-West for trying to keep Nori’s hair togehter unlike some other power couple who I won’t mention. Yes I am African America and Nori’s hair might be fly-away hair so (after 10 minuts or so her hair is all over the place.) I love the way she has Nori’s hair.

    • gefeylich says:

That would mean she actually has something to do with the kid’s grooming, bathing, dressing or clean-up. Nope. All nanny jobs, just as it’s their job to stand just out of frame so the kid can make eye-contact with them and not be totally terrified when mom (or PMK) calls the paps to surround them at some minor airport.

      This child is doomed.

    • JennySerenity says:

      JFC.

Not to keep this ridiculous thread going, but why does every Kimye post have to wind up w/ racially charged and overly emotional comments? This thread started about Nori & Kim’s photo @ an airport and wound up in racially motivated sniping and bickering. Knock it off, please!!

  2. Talie says:

People are going to say she “relaxed” her hair, but she didn’t. North doesn’t have typical African-American hair, it’s more like Kim’s, so she probably just wet it or used some new baby styling product.

Anyway, yes, comically North does seem to be completely against the dog and pony show her mother and father insist on parading her in.

    • Kat says:

She has biracial hair and there is definitely a bit of curl in it. Its nothing like kims. Its quite soft now because its baby hair, but it will usually become more curly and thicker as you get older. Biracial hair is its own category. Its not really like european hair or afro hair.

      • Talie says:

Kim’s natural hair is very curly. She has put so many chemicals in it now that what you’re seeing above is part wig/extensions. I’ve seen pics of her natural hair recently on DailyMail and it’s quite short and thin from all she’s done!

      • Janet says:

“Biracial hair” can be any texture at all. My biracial cousins are black/Chinese. When they were children both had bone – straight hair. The girl’s hair is still straight in adulthood while the boy’s hair turned into a big afro. Nori’s hair could go any which way and it’s pointless to speculate how it’s going to look when she’s older.

    • Sabrine says:

      They’re at the AIRPORT.

  3. Abbott says:

Are you sure that running isn’t Nori trying to find a weakness in the security fence line for an escape?

  4. Audrey says:

She always looks scared 🙁 but she does have who knows how many flashes going off in her face

She got kanye’s super expressive eyes

Her hair is normally curly. I hope it’s just wet and kim isn’t using products or treatments in it.

This is the first time we’ve seen her in a color! It looks good on her

  5. Nev says:

    sooooooooo cute.

  6. Greyson says:

This little girl is a year old and they’re already trying to straighten her hair..

Her dad is black so having some curls is the norm. I hope they don’t make her feel any different for having whatever hair texture she ends up with.

  7. Skins says:

Never seen a kid more uncomfortable in their mothers arms

    • jwoolman says:

She seems less freaked out than usual, though. Maybe she’s past the stranger danger phase? Or maybe just hanging out around Kim and Kanye more recently so she’s more used to them. No real engagement with mom, but her body language seems more relaxed than before. They might have finally figured out that they have to let her get to know them if they are going to use her for pictures- otherwise it’s too obvious that she doesn’t know them very well.

    • gefeylich says:

I think they always have one of her familiar nannies just out of frame so that the kid doesn’t freak out in when she’s in one or the other of her unfortunate parents’ arms. The kid makes eye contact with the nanny and knows all is well – that she’ll be handed off the second the paps are done.

Kartrashian didn’t do anything to the kid’s hair – does anyone honestly think she has *anything* to do with her child’s bathing, grooming, dressing or clean-up? Of course not! She might direct it somewhat, but that’s as far as it goes.

  8. cr says:

    Nori’s adorable.

Do the paps normally hang out at Bob Hope airport?

  9. Loco says:

Dude, that kid has taken more airplanes in its one year existence than I have my entire life.
    – It’s official I’m jealous of a one-year old’s lifestyle xp

    • Chrissy says:

Too bad about all the radiation exposure though!

      • anon33 says:

But it’s fine when the Brange does it, right? because they’re “expanding their children’s horizons” or some such nonsense?

I am aware people don’t like Kim but some of this is just….so extra.

  10. smutwriter says:

All I pray is that she keeps those expressions into her teenage and adult years and then directs them to Kim and Kanye at every single opportunity.

  11. lisa2 says:

I’m not a Kim fan but she has not chemically treated the baby’s hair. It looks like it has just been brushed straight because you can see the curls in the back. Nori is bi-racial.. her hair texture may have changed or will change as she gets older.

    She is an adorable baby.

    • Nev says:

      WORD.

    • GiGi says:

THIS! This exactly. My youngest daughter is African American and her hair as a baby was soft and loose curls – if you brushed it when wet, it stayed straight. My daughter’s hair has changed textures and now, at 4, it’s super tight – I love it! North’s hair might do the same, or it might stay like it is, or it could become straighter – no one knows.

I hate the Kardashians, but all this nonsense about Kim “straightening” her hair is so idiotic.

      • OriginallyBlue says:

Thank you. These comments are driving me batty. When my daughter was about this age her hair was soft and very loose curls. I could wet it and put them in ponytails and she would have little curls. Or if I left it down it would stay straight-ish. Now she has wavy/curly/kinky hair. As much as I can’t stand this woman, I doubt she would be dumb enough to straighten the baby’s hair, nor would the baby stay still long enough for it to happen. My almost 5 year old can barely hold it together long enough for me to comb some conditioner through her hair in the shower and we take a million breaks when it comes time to actually style it.

    • MonicaQ says:

Sweet babies thank you for explaining this. /expecting my own bi-racial children soon

    • Moneypenny says:

Exactly. My daughter’s hair was just like this at that age. She’s not biracial (her dad is, I’m black) and her hair is much curlier now. Kim didn’t chemically straighten Nori’s hair.

I’ll say though that I’m not really sure what people keep referring to as “biracial hair.” Plenty of black people who aren’t biracial (myself included) have curly hair that is not “coarse” or “kinky.”

  12. paola says:

They actually look cute in this picture.
I’m against piercing the ears at such a young age (mainly because I don’t see the point).
No shoes but diamonds on her ears. It doesn’t make sense to me

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

      She’s a beautiful baby.

I agree about piercing a baby’s ears. Maybe things have changed since I pierced my ears, but then you had to soak your earlobes in alcohol and spin the earrings every day to prevent infection, and it was somewhat painful. I just wouldn’t do that to a baby who doesn’t know if she’s wearing earrings or not. I don’t see the point either.

      • AG-UK says:

Nowadays it’s the piercing “gun” or it use to be takes a few minutes but not sure what you do after but in my day this will date me, needle and THREAD oh yeah but no one did it until they were old enough to ask.

    • kcarp says:

Right if she is walking she will want to get down and walk around airport and stuff……I am with you on the baby ear piercing. I have a 2 1/2 year and I didn’t pierce her ears as a baby. Her doctor pierces ears I am going to get hers done with him when she is older.

      • swack says:

I pierced my daughters when they were 7 because at that point I felt like they could change the earrings themselves. Just felt that was a good age because they also were very excited about getting them pierced.

@AG-UK, I used self-piercers my freshman year in college (worked them through in about 3 days because they really hurt to do that way) but a lot of people used needles to pierce their ears.

    • AM says:

I had mine done as a baby, and I’m glad because I don’t remember it. However, I knew a girl who pulled hers out as a toddler…has always made me concerned about finding the right age.

  13. Sonya says:

You know, I grew up HATING my nose and eyes. People made fun of them – my nose was too round and my eyes WAY TOO BIG. When I got to be older people started to mention my big eyes like they were a good thing, but I still hated them. It all changed when my daughter was three and started to look like me. She is beautiful and I am SO glad that I never changed anything – that we look alike and that she can see someone who looks like her as she grows up. I think of little Nori and a lot of Hollywood children and wonder how it will feel to look at yourself in the mirror and see a lot of things that your mom thought wasn’t good enough or felt she needed to change…
    It’s sad.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

That’s a sweet story and a good point.

    • Miffy says:

Very interesting point. I wonder when North is older will her mother see all of the things she needlessly changed about herself or if shell still think that they need “fixing” on her daughter. Sad thought.

    • AlmondJoy says:

I really like your comment!! Excellent points

    • Josefa says:

I never thought of surgery that way. Great post! Very interesting and touching.

    • Bob Loblaw says:

People also look like different family members at different stages of life. As a child, I was my mother’s Mini-Me. As an adult I look exactly like my great grandmother. I would never want to erase my identity or my heritage with plastic surgery.

  14. Chrissy says:

OMG! They’re wearing colour! Why oh why does she have Nori’s hair
like this, she looks like a little boy….

    • Charlotte says:

My daughter is a few weeks older than Nori and I used to twist her fine hair into spikes when it was shorter. I would sometimes get women saying to me ‘WHY did you do that to your daughter’s hair??!!??’ I’m going to go ahead and give you the epic *oh, please* eyes I gave them. Gender stereotypes can has be gone now, please?

  15. Abby says:

It’s interesting how less than a month ago she was pushing around an empty infant stroller and now the baby runs every where like a marathon? Someone has been reading her bad press.

    I feel bad for Nori.

    • Dawn says:

      Right on!

    • Mischa Jane says:

Totally agree, Abby. I think that Kim spends her days and nights reading comments about herself, taking and posting selfies, primping, changing her clothes, eating, and shopping. She’s pathetic.

She’s ONLY carrying that child in the open to remind us all she’s a mother and to hopefully get some “awwwwww, so cute” comments.

  16. Dash says:

Kim is looking extra fake tanned in those shots.

  17. in_theory says:

I just can’t deal with people who go barefoot in other places than their own home or the beach. I feel bad and disgusted for those people’s poor naked feet.

    • I think Kim’s shoes were off because she was going through security… not to WK, just an observation.

      • in_theory says:

Yeah, I know, but I would still wear socks or whatever and not touch that dirty floor with my bare feet. Maybe I’m just strange that way.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I haaaaaate going through security barefooted, even if I have tights or socks on. It makes me want to shower.

    • HappyMom says:

      She’s going through security.

    • Pumpkin Pie says:

@in_theory: i am like too, and hey, there’s nothing strange about that. I cannot stand it when people walk barefoot in public places like airports and such, and even worse, barefoot or wearing only socks during a flight. I have even seen people going to the loo wearing just socks. Waking barefoot? – totally possible to get some kind of fungi/bacterial infection, and what if they’ve got some broken skin/cuts on their feet? Dangerous. Stupid.

      • almondey says:

well lucky for you, all infections they could potentially get from being barefoot for a total of 40 seconds is their burden to bear! disaster averted.

i think the overreaction to people going barefoot in the airport is a little too intense. there’s so many times if i’m going on an island vacation i only carry or wear flip flops or sandals. It’s not feasible, necessary or essential to have socks on for the minute my shoes are off during security.

      • Pumpkin Pie says:

@almondey, I always carry a pair of socks and a small plastic bag with me so I can place the socks when I take them off after going through security. I don’t mean overreact, I make this choice for myself.
I was in this airport once, in the middle of winter, thin socks, they had this plastic covers for the feet and while they said there are new covers for each person, they were used, and that was very obvious. And I didn’t like that.
I don’t have any kind of phobias, but I do take more precautions when I travel, especially long-haul. Big and busy airports connecting continents means that people can bring in so many kinds of germs and I try to do the best I can, just to be on the safe-side. It makes me feel better and more comfortable during the flight.

    • anon33 says:

Ok, and now we’re complaining because she is barefoot IN THE AIRPORT. GOING THROUGH SECURITY.

      EX. TRA.

  18. ohreallynow says:

I have biracial twin daughters and when they were babies before their hair grew in thick I could take a baby brush and put water on it and their hair would look just like this. I didn’t do it very often but here and there to try something new. Then when their curls became thicker I never tried it. I don’t think its a big deal. I would maybe put a cute hair clip or something in there but I don’t think Kim would do that.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Yeah, I’m sort of not getting the outrage. I like her hair curly, but I think she looks cute with it slicked down, too. She’s so pretty either way.

  19. JudyK says:

Nori is precious, but I don’t like the slicked hair and it’s styled like a little boy’s would be. She’s so much cuter w/ her natural, “dry” hair.

If she were my baby, I’d never be able to resist not kissing her all the time–she is just too dang adorable.

Kills me to say this, but I think Kim looks really pretty in all these pics.

    • jwoolman says:

Kim looks good, but she’s clearly posing for the camera. I saw a bigger set of pics elsewhere. In one, Kim was kissing Nori, Nori was unresponsive as usual, but Kim had her own face and eyes turned just enough toward the camera. I wonder if there was just one photographer hired for the purpose. Nori doesn’t look as though she’s afraid of a bunch of strangers with cameras. Maybe there is no crowd of paps.

  20. Tessa says:

kim looks soooo much better not trusted up in polyester formal wear, even if those jeans look like something from 1980’s poland.
Now just get a pair of converse and you will actually look your ( catfaced) age you heinous woman

    • Miffy says:

came to comment the same. She looks nice casual, so much to be said for Jeans and a tshirt. Rather than looking like a polyester sausage just to go to the supermarket.

  21. daisyfly says:

Sheezy, come get your kid before your wife’s face assplodes silicone all over that poor child’s face.

  22. NewWester says:

I did not know the paparazzi were allowed to take photos at the airport security checkpoint?

    • MediaMaven says:

she probably had one of her traveling posse take the photo and she sold it. That poor child has so many flashy lights from the cameras in her face all the time – she always looks a bit stunned. That, and she’s never sure who these people are that are holding her.

  23. Nymeria says:

the baby looks adorable and the side-slicked hair is cute too.

  24. Jem says:

Shes a beautiful baby. Her parents are a$$holes, but she is really precious.

  25. Mata says:

Every time I see a picture of Nori, all I can think is “poor kid”. She got a raw deal with those two as parents and then, she’s a pretty little thing. Pimp Mama Kris is probably already making plans for her.

  26. Lisa-Marie says:

    Where can I get Kim’s T shirt?

  27. Thaisajs says:

FWIW, kids that young don’t have to take their shoes off when they go thru security. It would hold things up too much (I mean, more than it’s already held up, as you’re breaking down the stroller, etc).

If she’s walking already, I don’t think there’s any excuse to not put shoes on her at the airport. I wouldn’t want my toddler running around on those gross floors barefoot.

    • swack says:

I agree. I would not allow my child to run barefoot at the airport. And even my 8 year old granddaughter did not have to take off her shoes at the airport on the way back from Disney World. I like North’s hair curly better. My 2 year old granddaughter has curly hair and the more humid it gets outside the more curly it gets and I LOVE it. As long as it’s water I don’t have a problem with it, but I have a bit of a problem if it’s oil or a gel (especially if it is not made specifically for toddlers).

    • Eazypeazy says:

Babies have a hard time walking in shoes when they’re first starting to walk. I’ve actually ready some articles that talk about how shoes can be bad for them too

      • swack says:

When my daughters first started walking I asked the dr what were the best kind of shoes and he told me no shoes were the best. With my first I let her run around all summer barefoot (she still does and so do my other 2) and when I had to take her back to the babysitter when I went to work (I taught) I had a hard time getting shoes on her. So, it’s probably best when your going out in public places to put shoes on her. There are shoes out there called, I think, Robeez, that are soft soled and would be perfect in a place like this. They are even tough enough to wear outside as many of my grandchildren have worn them.

    • Moneypenny says:

Yep. I travel with my toddler daughter all the time and they do not make her take her shoes off. I don’t understand her being barefoot at all, unless Kim just took off her shoes because she thought she had to. At least have her in some socks!

  28. truthful says:

lawd, did we need that back view, a jumbled lopsided mess…the wig. smdh

poor North, that’s it girl, run, run as fast as you can. She’s practicing for the big escape w/her nanny.

  29. Leaflet says:

To be fair, Prince George always looks concerned as well. I just want to hug, squeeze and kiss them both. Maybe one day soon Nori and Prince George can have tea time together and share their concerns through baby talk, running around, and cute squeelz, lol.

    • Dawn says:

I’ve seen pictures of Prince George not only smiling at his parents but I’ve seen a few where he is giving the Dutchess kisses. That said I am one of the few people on this site that does not get sickly sweet over North. Is she a cute kid sure but most are or so I think. I do feel sorry for her that she seldom looks at ease and never looks happy when with her parents. I did see a picture of her with her nanny in Mexico and she looked far more comfortable.

      • Leaflet says:

How does one get ” sickly sweet” over any celeb child? There all babies. I don’t think anyone gets “sickly sweet” over Nori; it’s just that people on this site notice that some people have a tendency to attack North inadvertently because of her parents, which is not only sad but disgusting as well. She is a child, who can not defend herself and has done no transgressions to receive the underlying shade that she gets. I for one think that people praise Prince George too much, and believe it or not, whether George smiles or not, I still find myself concerned for him and Nori. Why? Because they are both babies exposed to too much publicity and are being basically judged by the deeds of their parents. Also, just because a child temporarily smiles in a photo doesn’t mean that that child is not being neglected in some way. I feel for both of these children because it appears that neither of them are receiving the amount of attention and parentage that they should be receiving by their parents. It appears that both kids may be receiving more rearing from their respective nannies versus their parents. That to me is truly sad.

  30. Dani says:

I like both of their outfits, actually. Nori’s shirt/pants are from Zara’s kids summer collection (my daughter has them). Her hair is not chemically treated, my god. I’m not a fan of the KardASSians but give Kim a bit of a break, I don’t think she’s THAT vapid to harm her child. My daughter has really fine soft curly hair, about Nori’s length, and I brush it down with a bit of baby oil or the pink lotion to keep it in place.

  31. Eazypeazy says:

She really is a beautiful baby. I am sad that she isn’t going to stand a chance being part Kardashian. Her self imaged is going to be so f** up

    • word says:

That’s sad. North is beautiful and I hope as she gets older she realizes how beautiful she is. Kim wasn’t able to do that for herself.

  32. pnichols says:

They look great. good pictures! adorable baby.

  33. Lydia Says says:

Nori is such a cute little girl. There’s nothing wrong with Nori’s hair; It’s probably baby oil and water. I’ve seen a lot of people style their kids hair like that. I’ve seen worst jeans on Kim; I think she looks good here. They both look adorable.

  34. BlueJay says:

    Beautiful little girl!

  35. Whatwhatnot says:

Looks like Kim od’d on the oil for Nori. Maybe she is confused about how much oil to put in her hair when dealing with Nori’s texture since it’s different from hers?

I just recently switched to the No poo method and I’ve OD’d on the oil application here and here because my texture is changing on me, so I can see Km doing the same with Nori.

  36. joy says:

Ok. Let’s discuss those jeans shall we? I have a huge rear. Huge. Granted I’m 10 inches taller than Kim but still. I only wear dark jeans. Period. Because I never want to look this way.

    • AlmondJoy says:

Joy, I guess it depends on whether or not you’re proud of your huge rear 😉 Kim bought hers and wants it to look as huge as possible. Mine is large as well, but shapely and I always wear clothing that flatters it. I can’t say that I stay away from light jeans though..I even have a white pair!

      • Jayna says:

That’s the key word, though. Yours is shapely. But her rear is odd shaped and very dumpy and tight light jeans showcase that, when she can hide that in dresses, etc. I don’t know what they put in her rear when she enlarged it, but it’s no Jennifer Lopez rear-end that is natural and toned (of course she works out for that) and looks great in white jeans.

  37. amp122076 says:

her jeans don’t bother me. i think she looks relaxed and cute. not in her normal “trying too hard, high fashion” disaster outfits that are meant for 5’10, size 00 models.

  38. PreciousRobicheaux says:

I’m so in love with that baby. I sincerely hope Kim is a wonderful mother when the cameras are off and it’s just her and that little doll.

    One can hope.

  39. Jonesy says:

Lol at people thinking Kim wouldnt change her daughters hair.
Naive much? Her own hair is straigthened, her face has been under the surgeons knife too many times to count.
Her whole family is like that.

  40. Becks says:

    That baby is adorable!

  41. Anon says:

Kim must have called the paps cor this photo op.. Must be a good say for her and she isnt peed at the paps. Its convienent for her today. But only if she calls of course.. Trying to hard and say the right things to be relavant

    • word says:

Yeah no more baby carriage or car seat? Now all of a sudden she’s openly carrying North at the airport? That was a calculated move. Kim needs attention.

      • Gypsy says:

Actually by law a baby of her age has to be in a car-seat when driven. I also think Nori has outgrown the old carriage and is also too active to keep in an unrestrained baby carriage – When she gets older she can be put in a baby stroller. – There is just that in between period where they are too big for a baby carrier and you cant trust them to stay still in a stroller….If I’m wrong please correct me.

      • word says:

I know you have to keep a child in a car seat until a certain weight or height. North is far away from that. I’m talking about a month ago Kim had North in a car seat with a blanket over her at the airport and people said the car seat was empty or had towels in it. Just weird how just a month ago, she was covering her child up and now she’s openly showing her at the airport. I think when Kim thinks Nori looks really cute and when Kim needs attention, she likes to show her off…case in point…the above pictures.

      • swack says:

@Gypsy – Every babystroller I know of have some type of restraint, sometimes like a car seat, either across shoulders and waist, sometimes just across waist. I put my grandkiddos in a jogging stroller (it’s easier to push over different terrains and you can lay the back down if need be) from about 6 – 9 months on. My daughter and I would take long walks, 4+ miles, and they stayed in the strollers fine. Also, North is too old to be carried in a carseat as Kim has done recently.

  42. word says:

Really, so at a year old this child knows it’s ok to run outside but she’s super careful inside the house? Kids run in the house too, they don’t know any better. Her daughter is very pretty, but Kim needs to stop acting like her child is the most well behaved smartest child on this earth.

    • Gypsy says:

Every mother’s child is the smartest child in the world. 🙂
Every mother’s child is the most angelic child in the world. 🙂

      • word says:

Yeah but why lie to people in order to make your child seem as if they are the most perfect child? If she said “yeah Nori runs in the house as well” it wouldn’t make anyone like Nori less. I don’t get undersand the lies. She’s a healthy child, she is going run and play EVERYWHERE. I would feel sorry for that child if she was restrained while inside. That’s horrible.

  43. astrobiologiste says:

The jeans are not a “style atrocity”. It’s her butt that’s the atrocity.

  44. Nikki says:

Why doesn’t anyone talk about Kourtney’s baby, Penelope?

Nori is cute, but I think Penelope’s FAR MORE cute than Nori.

    • Leaflet says:

      @ Nikki,
I think that Nori is FAR MORE cuter than Penelope. Yet, that isn’t a reason to give one more coverage than the other. I think it’s kind of sick to judge a child based on looks and then say one should have more media coverage than the other. Is one child MORE INNOCENT than the other? I think not because their both babies; that’s as innocent as it comes. Clearly both babies are receiving press coverage based on the celeb rank of their parents.

      • word says:

I think it’s because Kourtney doesn’t call the paps to let them know where she is at all times, unlike Kim who not only wants the paps there to take pics, she gets a percentage of the sale of the pics.

  45. Gypsy says:

Will you folks just stop about the baby’s hair and skin color, it’s meaning less, it’s just how human biology works.
When I first saw the baby I commented to myself…That baby is 3/4s Kardashian and 1/4 Kanye West, maybe their next baby will be the reverse….That’s how nature works.
The baby’s early photos showed her with blonde hair like baby Khloe was, now her hair is brown unlike the raven hair of the other clan, but she is still growing and discarding hair so she later still become raven haired…..Also, curls now doesn’t matter it can go either way, more curls or as her hair grows out lose it’s glorious curls……point is. IT’S A BABY PEOPLE!!!!

    • AlmondJoy says:

Lol! Thanks Gypsy, you’re right.. I guess it’s not as big a deal as we’re making it 😜

      • Gypsy says:

        @AlmondJoy
Actually I ready your comments and not only totally agreed with you as a “voice of reason”, but because of you I decided to comment…..You were an excellent shutdown valve stopping those wild innuendos.

      • AlmondJoy says:

Thanks Gypsy. I just feel bad when my comments are seen as offensive or assuming. I also think we should stick to slamming kim for being an attention whore and wearing super small clothes, which we know she does for a fact lol.

      • Gypsy says:

        @AlmondJoy
There was nothing offensive about your comments, to me it was just an adult setting the records straight.

  46. Lola (Lolita de las F.) says:

I just realize, I don’t recall ever having seen a picture of Nori laughing out loud!?

    • Janet says:

I remember years ago (God, how time flies) when people said Zahara Jolie-Pitt must be a miserably unhappy child because she never smiled for the paparazzi when she was a baby.

    • jwoolman says:

I’ve seen pics of Nori laughing and relaxed. BUT the pics are carefully cropped so all we can see is the baby. In one pic, we could see several hands around her. I don’t think she does that with Kim or Kanye or else the pics would be splashed all over the net.

But she seems to have had more time just hanging around in the vicinity of her parents lately and so seems more comfortable with them. They need to do more with her, but just being there within a few feet is bound to make the kid feel better in these photo ops. I just hope they don’t resort to drugging the little tyke…. Really, a friend said her own parents used to give her a little beer to keep her quiet on visits to the grandparents! So people do such things.

Nori also might be becoming more interesting to Kim and Kanye. As she loses baby fat, her features are becoming more distinct. She looked just normal baby cute to me before, but she’s really looking strikingly beautiful to me in these pics (Nori, I mean…). That will get Kim’s attention. Yes, the parents are shallow. But even the most devoted parent would be unrecognized by their baby if they just weren’t around her enough while she was awake. They just need more real interaction time with her. They can’t expect to get a good reaction from her if they just briefly hold her when a camera is on. Nori has other real parents in her life, but she’ll need to be comfortable with her genetic ones for her own sake. So although I doubt Kim has become supermom, I’m glad to see Nori is getting less freaked out by the parentals.

  47. TheOriginalKitten says:

I feel so bad for this child..only a baby and already being scrutinized by the public.
I wish we wouldn’t talk about the kid’s hair, clothes, whatever. She’s just a baby and she didn’t ask to have two narcissists for parents nor did she ask to be thrust into the public eye.

    • Gypsy says:

Agreed, just enjoy the child’s cuteness, there is no need to start rumors about a baby.
I personally think North is a cute baby and she is blessed to have a head-start in life that far too may babies and kids around the world will never have…Trust-fund and extended wealthy family member.

I save my emotions for the children living in poverty and do the little I can.

    • word says:

I guarantee you Kim and PMK will be the ones scrutinizing North the most. That poor kid.

  48. me says:

Are we supposed to believe she’s not flying with the nanny? She goes out of her way to make sure the nanny is never pap’d.

  49. Ciria says:

    That baby is really cute.

WHY would anyone do that to their butt? I really don’t understand. The last picture–it looks uncomfortable. How does she sit?

  50. holly hobby says:

I vote for her being concerned about getting stuck with the dumbest people on earth. I hope she grows up with brains and tells these clowns to stick it – that she wants to get a degree and do something with her life.

I don’t like slicked back hair on little girls. Kim’s face looks painful. Gravity will make it worse as she gets older.

  51. Sam H x says:

Nori is an adorable little girl! I can’t help but see a disconnect between Nori and her mother. Its really sad. As much it pains me to say this, Kim’s outfit is nice. The T-Shirt and jeans combination suits her because its simple and not as over styled as her normal pap get ups. Looks ‘effortless’.

  52. jenn says:

I actually think all these babies look “concerned” – it”s because these photogs are calling their name and they are confused and trying to see who it is….

    • jwoolman says:

I doubt that there was a crowd of paps. No sign in the pics, no sign of that kind of distress on Nori’s face. I think there was one photographer who was familiar to Nori. Who else could get right up to the security area? Maybe a nanny or her great-aunt, whoever will actually be taking care of her during the flight.

Even on the street in Paris, I didn’t see pap distress in Nori. She was uncomfortable with Kim and vice versa and was looking for someone else, not engaging with Kim. She reaches out to someone toward the camera in a pic I saw for this airport photo op also. Probably reaching for the photographer or someone close by. Unless you really believe that Kim was there all by herself with Nori. Kim doesn’t seem to go anywhere alone.

  53. vivian says:

Kim likes the band Chicago? I never would have guessed!

  54. rudy says:

This little girl looks unhappy because the photos are all with her ‘mom’. NOT the woman she spends the most time with, the one who nurtures her, which is probably Kanye’s aunt or a nanny. This child looks unhappy. Very sad.

  55. snowflake says:

I knew it! i saw on daily mail she’s releasing a selfie book. i knew those selfies weren’t just for kanye. and now these pics w nori after the towel baby incident. smh

    • me says:

Ha I knew it too ! I knew she was going to do a “selfie” book, which is ridiculous because who would buy that? You can see plenty of her selfies for free on-line. Plus, the pics she took on vacation weren’t selfies, she had someone taking the pics for her. Also, they will be heavily filtered and photoshopped as she recently admitted she has gained weight since her wedding, so why would she take pics for a book during a time she’s not happy with her weight? This girl is so full of it.

    • word says:

She did this with Reggie too. She had a calendar made that was suppose to be just for his eyes but then she said something about how Reggie loved it so much she decided to sell it so everyone could enjoy the pics. Now she did this with Kanye. She said she was making a selfie book just for him and then all of a sudden she’s selling it to the public. Same old tricks.

  56. Marybel says:

Wow. I would like to understand the history of hair in the black culture. White ppl may need to shut up and take a lesson. I’m white as chalk but love natural black hair, natural white hair, and all the variations in between.
Seems like no one would trust Kim to not do something outrageous to her kid’s hair just for the attention. While it would be unwise to chemically alter such a young kid’s hair, who ever gave the ‘trashians credit for wisdom?

  57. Angee says:

Is it just me or does this kid ALWAYS look worried? She has every right to be worried. If I were her I’d put myself up for adoption.
