A few weeks ago, Britney Spears broke up with her shady boyfriend David Lucado after Jamie Spears told her about what Dave had been getting up to in his spare time. Allegedly, Dave had been fooling around with multiple women, including an exotic dancer and former adult film star. There was at least one video of Dave and one woman doing something together and it was being shopped around. When Jamie Spears heard about the video, he brought the news to Britney and that’s when Britney dumped Dave. So, what’s going on now? The woman in the video – Cali Lee – is probably the one who was shopping it around in the first place. Now Cali has been trying to sell her story to anyone. And Team Britney is trying to shut her down:

Britney Spears’ people are trying to bully the woman with whom her boyfriend cheated … by threatening she’s so rich and powerful she’ll destroy the woman if she blabs.
It’s pretty shocking … Britney’s legal team sent a nasty letter to Cali Lee … warning her that Brit’s former BF David Lucado signed a confidentiality agreement with Britney, and anything he told Cali during their affair must be kept secret.
Here’s the thing … it’s BS. Cali is NOT bound by some confidentiality agreement David signed. Period. And Cali’s lawyer has told his client she can say what she wants.
In the letter, obtained by TMZ, the lawyer writes, “Rest assured that our client has the resources and the resolve to pursue this matter no matter what the financial cost or outlay in time.”
Translation … her lawyers are gonna get rich off of this.
Yeah, that’s what I was wondering too – I mean, who cares if Britney’s ex-boyfriend’s sidepiece sells her story? The only reason it would be worth any money is if David was talking about what Britney is really like away from her handlers, and whether Jamie exerts control over every part of Britney’s life, etc. While I think that Cali Lee has a right to sell her story, I do think that this whole thing is an exercise in TACKY.
Oh, and Britney has been trying to rebrand herself as a cute single girl just looking for love. She told People Magazine that she would “possibly” be open to trying Tinder. Sigh… poor Brit-Brit.

I just feel like Brit’s father is but another who is a vile user in this sad story. He is protecting his ‘brand’ instead of his daughter and being a bully in the process.

IMO he seems like an overly aggressive, protective father.
It is possible the “side piece” didn’t have a story to tell before the threatening note by the lawyers, but now she does. Regardless of the father’s intentions, I don’t think bully-by-lawyer was a good strategy.
Thank you Tiffany. I think that Jamie goes overboard being protective and I do think he has too much control over Britney. But he saved Britney’s life in a very real way and has her best intentions at heart.
Jamie Spears has his daughter’s bank account st heart. She already did that sad tour, now a Vegas show? If she’s not well enough to care for her own affairs she should not be put on public display like that. No.
If the tape was just her ex and the girl doing “whatever” why would Brit’s dad purchase the tape? The story still got out. I think that tape has them also talking about Britney and there is probably things discussed about her that her dad doesn’t want getting out.

I agree with Word that there are probably things discussed about Britney maybe Britney behavior when she not havering a good days.
@Candy Love, at this point in Britney’s life, many people see her dad as her babysitter and nanny. He controls her money, her relationships, her career, everything, and I would not be one bit surprised to learn that her dad cares more about this scandal than Britney. So to that point, I think what Kiddo means is that her dad is really invested in making sure that the Britney brand, which is him, isn’t damaged, and even worse when the spotlight is directly on him. I’m also going to guess that he wants to protect Britney the person from the unpleasantness of having to deal with this. Every time I see Britney these days, she looks so fragile and almost frightened, and I don’t think that she could just get over something like this easily.
I’d never have identified this woman as Britney……her eyes look different. Anyhoo…..yeah, the recent thread about her illness and medication etc just made me wish she could step back from exposure and just live. It all read as greedy exploitation.
I’m not sure what they could shut her down for. I mean, she’s free to talk about whatever she wants. She didn’t sign any confidentiality contract with anyone. I really hate legal threats when they’re baseless or useless, it is a personal peeve of mine. The only thing I could think of is if she knows details about Britney that might be considered sensitive, like medical info. Maybe that’s it? But how would they know what she knows until she tells it?
She just always looks so sad and uncomfortable now. Her once beaming smile is now forced.
Yeah. I’ve never really been a fan of her music but always thought she had such a bubbly, sweet looking face. The “bubbly” is gone.

They must not be good lawyers if they charged for legal fees to issue something that they knew has no legal weight and would be a losing case.
I think Britney’s camp just needs to leave this alone. The more they get involved, the more it gets into the news.

Poor Britney. Her time in the spotlight as been over for a while now. Why don’t they just let the poor girl retire and enjoy her money and her boys.
Sidepiece is free to tell whoever she wants, whatever she wants, whenever she wants and Britney’s camp can’t stop her unless they can prove slander or libel.
Just pay her something to keep her mouth shut and be done with it.

In good news Dita Von Teese does have a lingerie line. It is all beautiful and I would buy it all, but I need to try it on first, learned that lesson the hard way.
I do not know why Britney just doesn’t go back home to LA to hang with her sister and get fat and happy and live her life. She has been a huge star for a long time and made tons of money. Let her go off the rails within reason in the swamps if that is what she wants. Her father reminds me too much of Col Parker and his control of Elvis. Except as her father, he should be looking out for her interests instead of his. He had a successful business before he took control of her so he can go back to that or retire himself.
I think there is a theory that keeping her working and having a schedule and things to do keeps her in a better place, mentally. I don’t know if that is true or not, though.
But what she’s doing goes way beyond giving her a schedule and things to do. Take some classes, either school, fitness, dance, whatever. Get her involved with an organization. Study music. Find a hobby. Get lots and lots of therapy. But what she’s doing is keeping Britney Inc going, and the focus seems to be on the dollars and cents.
I think she looks pretty good in the orange jumpsuit!
However, yeah, that sidepiece is tacky as hell for selling her story!!!
