Here are some fashion photos from the 2014 LACMA Art + Film Gala honoring Barbara Kruger and Quentin Tarantino. Considering Salma Hayek’s husband Francois-Henri Pinault is some huge deal and he partially owns Gucci, that means Salma gets first choice of all of the possible Gucci looks at the Gucci-sponsored event. I think she chose wisely, because her Gucci was possibly my favorite of the evening. Salma looks amazing in white, and there’s just enough sparkle on the shoulders to save this from looking too bridal. It’s not a total win though – the pleating on the bust is awkward.
Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber. They miss their BFF George Clooney. Cindy looks like a showgirl.
Charlotte Casiraghi came to LA for this event. That’s very interesting! I mean, she models for Gucci so they probably asked her to come. Still… I heard a rumor that Charlotte and her baby-daddy Gad Elmaleh are breaking up. And Charlotte’s baby son Raphael will not get any kind of royal title. Maybe she just wants to be normal and have a normal (non-married) relationship with Gad. Hm. As for her look here… I’m not crazy about it.
Er, I think Liberty Ross looks terrible here! The dress is too long and Liberty looks oily.
Eddie Redmayne has been making a lot of red carpet rounds lately. I think he wants an Oscar nomination more than Benedict Cumberbatch.
Chadwick Boseman was there, making his first public appearance since becoming a Marvel superhero. Here’s your new Black Panther, in a nice tuxedo. Nice velvet detail!

Liberety’s dress is the best, the rest is boring.
Liberty’s dress looks great on her but her makeup KILLS the look. Salma looks pretty doggone good, I think. Charlotte looks nice, too though I don’t love that neckline that looks like it’s chocking her.
Liberty looks like a snake in that dress.

Salma is incapable of looking anything but gorgeous, even in a less than great dress, and this dress is a very nice one.
In that second picture, she carries herself like Grace of Monaco. Wow, Charlotte is beautiful.

Hahaha! Yeah, Salma hasn’t been the same since she met him, going into some weird grande dame persona and squeezing into (mostly unflattering) Gucci dresses in loyalty to Papa Pinault’s brand, but Gucci is not for ladies with big twins. They always look strangled.

Cindy always looks blowsy, because she is trying to pretend she isn’t botoxic, and tries to keep working the “natural” look, but it winds up looking contrived. Slather on some more “magic French melon,” Cindy!

Everyone looks gorgeous, and had to laugh as the full reality of my own life hit me. I’ve eaten way too much leftover Halloween candy, I’m wearing my coat drinking coffee at the kitchen table cuz my house is chilly, and I’m rating gorgeous movie stars’ and royal princess’s glittering gowns. 🙂

Charlotte Casiraghi often looks messy but she looks gorgeous there. Both dress and make up are lovely. Nice to see a bit of embroidery and motif on an evening dress.
Love Charlotte’s dress, the color combination, the Asian touch. I’m not a fan of Salma, but white suits her, only that silver whatever is strangly placed. Since she married that man, she mostly looks matronly, this here is ok. Cindy looks cheap somehow, and very botoxy, and Rande starts looking old.
