Here are some photos from outside of Kourtney Kardashian’s baby shower in Beverly Hills yesterday. All of her sisters came, I believe. I see Kylie, Kim and Khloe, but maybe Kendall didn’t make it. Some moms get judgy about having baby showers for anything other than your first baby – I mean, this is Kourtney’s third pregnancy. Surely she’s got all she needs, right? But considering the costume changes most of the girls did, I think the baby shower was probably filmed for Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Does that make it better or worse?
So, Kim brought along North West, who actually looked adorable and NOT like a mini-Kanye. Kim dressed her daughter in a little denim skirt and sandals! That’s new. And North got to stand on the sidewalk instead of being carried endlessly. I’m also throwing in some photos of Khloe’s Pinocchio Butt, because I couldn’t help myself. The Pinocchio Butt has hypnotized me.

TMZ reports that Kim wanted to show off her trim body a few more times before she got pregnant again. The funny thing about Kim (and maybe all the sisters) is that they could be more enjoyable if they would embrace honesty. Like, own the fact that you make your money through the selling of your sexuality, because I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. Women are allowed to be sexual and proud of their bodies and comfortable presenting themselves however they’d like (or should be allowed, anyway). And as a woman with curves and otherwise previously regarded uncoveted features (short, curvy, booty), she could be a really great example of the changing landscape of the various ways we can regard beauty. I think she should OWN it!
However, that would involve the rest of us quit it with the body shaming, right? I support a woman’s choice to look how she wants and show what she wants.
I know I work really hard with diet and exercise for my health and a great side effect is muscle tone and shape, and I struggled to get there and work to maintain it. I never thought I could achieve that kind of fit body, and I will damn well wear whatever the fuck I feel good in and always dreamed of wearing because it’s my choice and I can. These girls have an entire existence based on “perfecting” their physical appearance, it is their choice and how they make their money and that’s ALL GOOD. Many of us care about our appearances and we’re not being paid for it or constantly having our appearances scrutinized. So, less judgement?
I love looking at people’s style choices, makeup, hair etc cause it’s an interesting and varied personal expression. I think it’s awesome and makes life colourful.
Kim has marketed herself as a stylist and they all laughably consider themselves to be serious business with their Kdash mess. They -want- to be fashionistas–desperately so! So please tell me why the Kardashians are special and exempt from wardrobe critique? They -want- to so badly to be fashion icons and every single fashion icon gets critique on their appearance. Sorry you don’t like what they aspire to be and what comes with it.

Kanye has spoken for years of his obsession with pron and pron stars. He has also admitted to being turned on by PICTURES of Kim, and yet seems to spend little time with the object of his affection.
My theory is that once he finally came on board the Kardashian train AFTER Nori’s birth, which is when he finally started spending long periods of time with Kim and the family as opposed to his previous behaviour where he seemed to be running away from them, Kim started to be more publicly nude or arranged to be photographed in clothes in which her assets were more exposed. Prior to getting together with him, her clothing might have been skin tight, but it didn’t expose her the way it does now. ditto enlarging her behind to it’s current proportions.
She has a joyously happy face in her latest round of nude pics but i wonder if that isn’t because the resulting pics are more credit in the Kanye bank. like the 1200 nude/near nude selfies from that Thai holiday.

I’m a huge fan of nice big ol’ asses, I have all their albums, but I can tell the difference every time. Not to get too graphic, but one of the best things about a woman with a true gluteal gift from god is the way that thing moves. The people only express themselves in the most blatant, base and extreme ways. They are either incredibly stupid and cannot communicate any other way, or they think we (the public) are so stupid we cannot possible understand how wonderful they are unless they portray themselves in the most obvious way possible. i don’t believe our comments had anything to do with nudity – at least mine didn’t. i have zero issue with nudity, sexuality, etc. in magazines, or anywhere else. (if anything, there should be more nudity and sexuality on tv and movies to normalize it and to get rid of the insane puritanical hypocrisy we have going here in the US). i was commenting on the larger “trend” of nudity, violence, movie plots, or anything else, being showed down our throats with zero subtlety and nuance.
I wasn’t referring to her naked photos or objecting to sex, or even sex in our culture. What I take issue with is the overt gratuitousness of the family’s daily life’style’ that is just as out of proportion, ugly and fake as their cosmetically altered posteriors. They literally and metaphorically balloon everything, then plasticize it (from lips, to marriage, to motherhood), package it and sell, sell, sell it. They can’t do sweet. Last night on Twitter, the phrase Who’s Kim Kardashian next to pictures of Angelina Jolie was trending. I wondered if some of the commenters here had a hand in that (I say that with love). The shower was shot for the show, I’m sure. Celebrities (well, reality stars and low level ones) seem to have a shower for each child. It is probably just an excuse for famous, rich people to have a party. North’s outfit looks cute, I like her little impractical white jacket!
First I find it tacky that the Kourt is having yet another baby shower. She is on number 3 and is not poor. And Kim’s totally nude frontal is so photoshopped it is a joke. I hear Kanye is bragging all over the place and no one is calling the fool out. Those pictures no way are the real Kim. And why won’t Kimmode just let the child have her natural curly hair? Why must she grease it down all the time? And lastly what will it take for this tacky bunch of grifters to just go away?
I think we all can agree those pics are heavily photoshopped. That’s why I don’t understand Kim’s reason for posting nude. She said she wants to show off her body before getting pregnant again. Once again, North is our only hope. @otakufairy it has less to do with the naked body and more to do with Kim then anything else. For me when I feel for this generation and future ones its not because I’m a pearl clutcher or a prude VERY far from it- I appreciate the naked body. It’s more because kids (and adults) are no longer striving or wanting to become something or work hard , they just want to be reality stars or rich and famous for nothing- just like Kim K. She is what future generations see and look up to. Why work hard when someone can just take their clothes off? And I’m willing to bet most people think that and not just because she’s naked. This woman sells her body not to further art or women’s liberation or make a statement – she does it for press and money. THAT’S why people have an issue.
For the record, I have no problem with nudity. I have a real problem with Kardashians, though. KK and her Pimp Mama sold her on tape getting peed on so she could get famous. I think people are just amused at how much of a hypocrite Kim is. She is the one who said she’s tired of being a sex symbol and wants to be taken more seriously. She said she was trying to get away from her “sexy image”…so why has she done 2 nude photoshoots in the past 2 months not to mention being topless in Kanye’s video. She needs to be more honest or just shut up about it.

I actually feel sorry for Kim. Can you imagine how getting older must be killing her? Her whole life is based around her beauty and each birthday that passes is a reminder that time is not on her side. I am around her age and I feel it too, though the way I am dealing with it is by going back to school for a graduate degree. As far as the nude pics, is it really that newsworthy? We get nude pics of Kim once or twice every season. Who cares at this point?
I think the nude cover got attention because of the obvious photoshop. If they weren’t so obviously photoshopped I don’t think anyone would have cared. She put out a nude spread in GQ just last month and NO ONE cared, it got very little attention. Also, the fact that it’s been a slow news week helped give her Paper cover more attention.
You know, I can maybe understand an average joe like me having another baby shower if the child is the opposite gender of your other child/ren and you’d be in need of new clothes and diapers etc. But Kourtney is certainly not poor and already has a daughter and a son. And she has no right to get mad about her naked leaked pics( which she herself probably leaked) if she did a vulgar photo shoot like this. My granddaughter is two and still has one. But she is only allowed to have it at night or for her naps. And when she is finished with her nap or night time she hands it right over. One reason she still has hers is because her father died last December and it is a comfort thing for her. She can sleep without one as I have not had one for her at nap time and while she crabbed about it, she did sleep.

People usually give gifts anyway when a baby is born just as a way to congratulate the parents. A “baby shower” is just a nice way to get everyone together for a party, no? Food, drinks, fun!
Serious question. I am pregnant for the third time in 5 years. Although this will be my first boy. I have all the big stuff, but no boy stuff. My best friend wants to throw me a ‘sprinkle’ more of a diaper party. Is it in poor taste? I am not rich, not even close, but not dirt poor. And I have had major complications that will land me a cool $17,000 in medical bills between this year and next when he is born. I can kind of use all the help I can get. Just wondering if it makes me an asshole?

Khourtney also has one boy and one girl already and would have plenty of good hand-me-downs for the new baby. oh, god, no! you’re having a baby (congrats!), you need stuff, and you’re not made of money. i would have a shower too if i had a second baby, for the very same reasons. not to mention, it’s a nice “excuse” to see people you perhaps don’t see as often as you’d like. 🙂
If the people in your life know your situation and want to give gifts, celebrate, and help you out at the same time, go for it! If anyone doesn’t think it’s right, they can simply decline to attend, or can offer hand me downs from their own kids instead buying a gift.
I think it’s tacky for very wealthy people to have a shower for each kid, especially for a family like this who probably billed the whole to the E network, and had companies “sponsoring” a bunch of stuff.

I have no problem with naked bodys ….I do have a problem with people showing naked bodies that have been photoshopped and altered and retouched to hell and back and claim they are their own . My step sister is naturally bootylicious. Even though in recent years she’s more fat than licious she looks at Kim and I swear to God she sees herself. Oh she’s so curvy, voluptuous women are beautiful, etc. I am constantly telling her NO! This is not natural and this is not what she looks like! KK doesn’t put any photo of herself on the internet that is not photoshopped. She is a freaking liar and it bothers me so much that there are idiots out there who truly believe that she is exactly what they see. And that this is what girls look at and how they want to look.
Kim’s expression in the full frontal picture is what got to me. It was the same kind of sexuality as the Blurred Lines video — naked women acting goofy allows both those controlling the image and those in the image to say “relax, it’s only a joke! you’re just not smart enough to get it!” The goof also adds a layer of frosting to the disempowerment cupcake. Any potential of Kim making an artistic statement — whatever that may be — with the power of her nudity, and her choice to expose herself thus, is nullified by her gormless expression. What a twit.
I might have a shower just so I could have a party for my friends, and then ask that a donation be made to a charity in lieu of gifts.
