This is just a fun story, and even though Kim Kardashian’s rep already denied it, I’m praying that there’s some truth to it. As we all know, Angelina Jolie did her big world premiere of Unbroken in Sydney, Australia this week. It was a huge event and it seemingly went off without a hitch. Some of the actors were there, plus Angelina and Brad walked the carpet, and Angelina invited the Aussie crew plus Australian WWII veterans. The focus of the premiere was where it needed to be. Cut to Kim Kardashian, who was also in Australia at the same time. She was there to promote herself, her perfume, her booty and whatever else. Allegedly, she wanted to go to the premiere. And Angelina BANNED HER.
Kim Kardashian’s representative has unequivocally denied that the reality TV star was banned from attending the world premiere of Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken in Sydney. On Wednesday Australian website TheFix reported a source has revealed that Angelina, 39, ‘personally barred’ the reality TV star, 34, from attending Monday night’s event at the State Theatre.
According to the article Kim ‘begged for tickets to the Unbroken premiere’ and ‘desperately tried to arrange a get-together with Brad and Angie’.
However, a representative from Kim’s camp told Daily Mail Australia, ‘The story is preposterous. Completely false. She did not ask to attend the premiere’.
In fact the social media darling was hours south of the premiere on a shoot reported to be for Vogue magazine, in Jervis Bay. The quoted ‘source’ also added that, ‘Angie’s people told Kim to buzz off and that Angie didn’t want to socialise with Kim or do a photo op in Australia with her. Kim was crushed.’
I hope the gossip is true and Kim did approach Angelina or the studio about possibly attending the premiere and I hope she was shut down. It’s possible that there was an approach but it wasn’t “begging” per se, and once she was told no, Kim simply made other plans. But let’s be real – Kim would have LOVED to have gone to the premiere. She would have loved nothing more than to get a photo-op with Angelina or Brad or both.

I doubt Angelina knows what a Kardashian is lol. And as famous as Kim is why does she act like such a groupie always trying to squeeze herself in and get pictures of other famous folks.

I hope that this story starts the trend of banning K3 from all entertainment industry premieres. She’s famous for a sex tape and having a big ass and he’s kind of on the edge of sanity. I’d be happy if I never read another thing about them.

There are a few reasons I don’t believe this: 1) Angelina despite what tabloids and chelsea handler want you to think is not a meangirl conspiring to steal men and cat scratch other women. She’s the farthest thing from that as you can get. 2) Angelina and Brad already met and have known Kim Kardashian (They have a home in NOLA and went to Saints games – superbowl too when Kim K was dating Reggie bush) plus there were plenty of opportunitues of ‘fun’ brange premieres (wwz, the tourist, moneyball, Maleficent etc ) in H’wood she and her sisters could have shown up at and probably did over the years. 3) Kim isn’t stupid she knows this kind of premiere wasn’t her thing and she knows how to use her image and what her image is…and how other press entities will use it to even slam other people indirectly. I don’t think she even ‘went there.’
This is as fake as the stories about Brad meeting up with his ex to give her romantic advice, or all the showdown stories.
You know what? I disagree. The reason? “KK was hours away from Sydney in Jervis Bay”. Now Jervis Bay is barely 2 hours out of Sydney and I for one do not believe that KK sat her ample behind in a car for 2 hours rather than take the helicopter. Also I thought that she went to Jervis, had the photos taken and left. It’s not really her kind of place methinks, nowhere near enough glamorous photo opportunities for the paps. Apart from the beach, it’s pretty ordinary and the locals certainly aren’t much to look at.

If approached by Kim’s reps, my guess is that Angelina’s staff would say no thank you, politely, and without much ado, just as they would if Lindsey Lohan’s errr “sponsors” were to approach them for an invite and photo op. This wouldn’t necessarily involve Angelina though. Why would she waste her time on basic tasks like security?
There’s nothing sinister in wanting to keep random fans (including ones who are D-list “celebrities”) away from the Jolie-Pitt family.

I’m starting to think this site is on the Kardashian payroll, too. So many stories on them, suddenly, in the past 6 months, when if anything they’ve gotten less relevant. No judgement, everybody’s got to make a living….
There’s a pretty simple explanation to that: the Kardashian posts are some of the most read and most commented posts on this site. The Celebitchy folks are simply responding to the demand that we the readers create. The comments may be negative, but that doesn’t matter, because people still click and still respond. If you want them to go away, just ignore them.

I’ll take this story with a grain of salt. The thing is though, since team Kardashian / Jenner shamelessly lie about so many things, I’m inclined to believe that everything they say is a lie. So if they say it isn’t true, then it is. that’s the price of dishonesty.

They have. When Kim was with Reggie Bush, then of the New Orleans Saints one of Brad’s fav teams (Brad and angie have a home in NOLA) they hung out at the super bowl party (saint won that year) and Brad and Maddox showed up to games a lot, as did Kim. They know her and have met.

I doubt it. It is just another way to get Angelina Jolie and/or Brad Pitt’s name with some other person’s gossip. This rumor was most likely started by KK so she could conveniently deny it and get more press. The premier was to honor people with inspiring stories and KK is not on that list.

The star that is actually famous for something and deserves the credit vs a star who’s famous for nothing. Have you seen the people Angelina associates herself with and the people Kim associates herself with? They are the complete opposite. The only thing they have in common is the limelight. I’m not even sure if they can even have a productive conversation.
Plus, the point of the premiere was to honour the film Unbroken and she’s the director, so I doubt a reporter would run to see K.K. if it’s Angelina’ s project.

Personally I don’t think Angelina would throw shade at Kim for being nothing more than a sex tape star who has a mother that does not know the meaning of shame and launched a business of the back of her daughter’s raunchy video. But I do think that she has grade A people who surround her and Brad and they didn’t want Kim there. This premiere was planned to market this film and it’s performers. Hard to believe that Kim would be a factor or that any schedule changes would occur to accommodate a KK photo op. Not even close to a diss if true. It’s just business.

Agreed. I don’t think Angelina would be jealous of Kim, just irritated that Kim would try to use this premiere for a vapid photo op when this film means so much to her. Angie plays the game, she just makes her own rules. I’m not sure why there is so much hero worship if her on this site, it’s like everyone projects the absolute best qualities possible about a person onto her. She has a petty side, we all do. She went into Hollywood acting, so of course by nature she is a tad narcissistic and vain but I think she works hard to overcome that and be a real person to the extent that anyone with her upbringing in Hollywood knows how to. She has worked very hard to rise above the selfish, navel gazing existence she was born into and also CHOSE by becoming a star herself. I bet if she could go back and change things she would like to have chosen a different path, I think she has kind of outgrown Hollywood, but never forget what it says about someone when they choose a career like this, they get paid to have all eyes on them. That requires a love of attention, even if it is sometimes love/hate. In terms of Hollywood she is light years more genuine and selfless than most, but sometimes these comments seem to make her out to be even better than the real heroes of the world who work to make life better for those less fortunate WITHOUT A SINGLE PHOTO OP or mansion in the English countryside or walking a red carpet and that’s what vexes me. That said, she is a very intelligent, lovely, interesting woman and I would rather it be Angelina who is worshipped than almost any other celebrity.
As far as the ‘photo op’ part of Angelina’s humanitarian work–she was a Goodwill Ambassador, and now she’s a Special Envoy. She’s not an aid worker. Liaising with the media is part of the job–she’s supposed to bring cameras with her.
And I don’t think having money denigrates her charity work–she’s spoken many times about how shortly after she went on her first humanitarian trip, she immediately wanted to quit, and become an aid worker. But she was convinced that if she had her foot in both worlds–acting/Hollywood and humanitarian work, that she could draw attention to her work a whole lot more. She has outright said that she uses her celebrity to draw attention to her causes. Like when she released pictures of Zahara as a baby to PEOPLE magazine–they got a picture (a paparazzi shot of her on the set of ‘The Good Shepherd’, holding Zahara)–they got a few quotes, BUT they also showcased information about the adoption agency that Angelina used, and some key issues in the region (Ethiopia). She and Brad have never been shy about that (about using the paparazzi, media, etc), and I don’t understand how that’s used against them, when they’ve outright said they used it.

My boyfriend doesn’t take a philanthropist seriously unless they donate at least half of their income to charity. I don’t feel that way, but if Brad and Angie live in the lap of luxury and buy expensive BS and then donate maybe 5% of their income to charity I don’t take them seriously either. I’m not sure if they are guilty of that though, I’m sure someone else here knows better than I do. Angelina could still use her celebrity to endorse causes with or without having fancy things. But again, I’m not sure how they live.

Angelina makes thoughtful movies. She wanted the focus of the premiere to be on the movie and the story and the vets and the actors.
If this “snub” happened, it was because Angelina knew if a Kardashian showed up, that would be the ONLY thing most media outlets would say about the premiere.
