Here are some assorted photos off of Kim Kardashian’s Instagram from the past few days, as she travels the world, shilling her products and herself. She was in Australia for much of last week, and she arrived in Dubai last Friday, I believe. She’s said that she wants to do another version of her iOS game, but this time place the game in Dubai, like “Kim Kardashian: Dubai.” Plus, I’m sure she’s making paid appearances and whatever while she’s in the Middle East. What’s interesting to me is that Kim was supposed to have a stop-over in India in between Australia and Dubai, but she had some visa issues. Funny how visa issues didn’t keep her from Dubai?
Kim Kardashian’s upcoming India trip has been canceled because of apparent visa troubles. The 34-year-old reality TV sensation was due to make a guest appearance on the popular reality show Big Boss, the Indian version of Big Brother, which is hosted by Bollywood actor Salman Khan.
“Just touched down in Australia!!! My perfume world tour begins for my new fragrance Fleur Fatale! Next stop India then Dubai! All in 1 week!” she tweeted on Monday.
Big Boss, currently in its eighth season, has had falling ratings this year. Kardashian’s visit had been much hyped by the Indian media. She was reported to be paid more than $800,000 for the stint, in which she would don a traditional sari. Organizers confirmed to the BBC that “visa issues” were to blame for the cancellation. Reuters reports that the undisclosed issues would take a while to solve, which would conflict with Kardashian’s busy schedule.
$800,000 for an appearance on an Indian reality show?! I really hope she didn’t get the money upfront. Oh well… that sucks for Indian Big Brother. It also sort of sucks that Indians believe that Kim is some kind of big American celebrity. Ugh.
Meanwhile, Radar had a funny story about Kim talking about possibly getting pregnant again, and “sources” claim that she hated being pregnant so much, she’s considering a surrogacy. A source says: “There’s no way she’s having a kid anytime soon. It took so long to get her body back that she’s even told friends she might have someone else carry the baby the next time around!” But then another source says they think Kim was “probably joking.” My guess? She hated being pregnant but she’ll probably do it one more time and that’s it, she’ll be done after that (although possibly open to adoption). I also think Kim and Kanye will beat Beyonce and Jay-Z at having a second kid!

Considering a former American porn star is a legit Bollywood actress these days, I doubt it. Indian conservatism is a weird animal.

Pamela Anderson was on Big Boss India a few years ago, as was Sunny Leone (an Indian porn star). India is not as conservative as you may think. I have been there many times and can tell you they openly sell porn mags in the windows of stores ! It’s crazy. India is filled with sex deprived young men, if you think cat calling is bad in NYC, try going to New Delhi.
Normally, you get a Visa BEFORE you purchase your plane ticket. I don’t get how she had issues getting a Visa just a day before she was supposed to be in India. It just doesn’t make sense. Maybe Kim read what people were saying on-line about how low brow Big Boss is and the types of American “celebs” they have had on that show (mostly those desperate to re-start their careers) and she felt she was “too good” or something? Also, Kim openly stated on her show that “all Indian food is disgusting” lol maybe she was worried someone would through a spicy Indian dish in her face (a la flour from Peta !).
Yes. This is why rape is such a big problem there. You can call me ignorant all you want but due to the way women are raped and murdered everyday there in India (please don’t say it’s the same in the US, it’s not on the same scale) I will never set foot there. Maybe Kim realized this and feared for her safety and chose not to go there at the last minute.
I doubt Kim would take a public bus or roam “the bad parts of New Delhi”. She’d probably go from suite to limo and from limo to airport. Not very dangerous.
@Katerina – I don’t think Kim feared for her safety. She wouldn’t be walking the streets at night alone. She’d be with a group of people in a limo being driven from one 5 star hotel to another and with security. It’s the low key tourists/students walking alone or with a small group who wouldn’t draw a lot of attention that are more likely to get attacked. Rape can happen anywhere, it’s not just a problem in India…though I do believe a lot of men in India are raised to believe women are beneath them and are simply seen as sexual objects who are not allowed to say “no” to their advances. Acid attacks are also very prevalent there.
Yeah it is true she would have lots of security. But if you our I went there it probably wouldn’t be very safe for us. That’s the point I was getting at
If she’s been to the UAE, were you go to jail for being raped (totally true; if the rapist is not your husband, you’ve had sex with someone other than that, which is illegal), so I’m not sure if the India would be a problem.

She’s in Dubai making up the 800 thousand she missed because India wouldn’t let her cross their borders…..Lots of Ultra Rich Sultans in Dubai who “host” women like Kim for a week or so ..Why not show the party photos of her and her “crew” which includes Khloe’s ex French Montana interesting that fact , partying away at a party she was hosting for her “business”….but of course we all know it just to promote her perfume…..Yea and I believe in the Easter Bunny, and Santa Claus too !!

Are we talking high-class prostitution? I just don’t believe that rumor. Of the few things that I actually like about kim, it’s that she is a legitimately hard worker. She keeps herself very busy and we’ve seen A LOT of her time and life unfold on TV. I just don’t see when she had the time to “entertain” some of these men.

Is there any proof that Anderson, Lohan or Reid are high class hookers? And why would you think that Kim is one as well? Just the fact, that she was Lugners “date” for his ball? He does this every year and I doubt that – apart from a selected few – his dates would be into prostitution.
I’m not a fan of hers nor am I defending her, I just find it to be unlikely that a woman this wealthy would (still?) be selling her body.
@Zip: there’s actually a lot of speculation that the K ardashians aren’t worth nearly as much as people think. Think about how much they hustle for low-rent appearances and spokesperson gigs, while spending money lavishly.
The rest… there’s a LOT of speculation about those other ladies named and how they make money and who’s company they keep, far beyond being Lugner’s date to his ball (which I actually wouldn’t take as proof of anything). But it’s not like there are pictures of any of them on a street corner.
She might not need a visa for US ppt holders to go to Dubai you can get on arrival possibly but India a whole different story. You’d think though IF she was planning on it she would have sorted that out weeks ago as it takes several days to get one. They probably didn’t miss out on anything 🙂
Right. I have friend who was supposed to go to India on business, and applied for her visa weeks ago, but couldn’t go because it takes so long to get one. They said it was in line, but hadn’t been processed yet. I doubt it had anything to do with her personally.
To be fair, I don’t know what kind of visa Americans need to visit India, but they don’t need any to visit the UAE (rather, you can get one on arrival).
Well, our Indian version of the show features mostly C Grade and famewhore-y celebrities anyway (last year’s foreign celebrity was Pamela Anderson, I believe), so KimK would’ve fit right in. 😉

A visitor VISA can be obtained by applying by mail or going to passport office in US or Dubai where she was at before planning to go to Mumbai, she just chickened out, may be after those nude pics. But yeah, she would have fit in quite nicely there and yeah, sari would look great on her like this girl who tried it on or way better on Kim K! 🙂

When you go somewhere and collect $800k for “work”, you’re clearly NOT a visitor.
Same for the work permit VISA too which is usually done months before. I am sure she has flock of attorneys to fix all that way before Mumbai visit was due!
Oh I think she is making far more money in Dubai then what she could make in India plus I think Dubai is more fun to her. She gets to party and do what she does best.
Yeah, exactly, it’s more fun on the Yacht in Dubai that dealing with Indian VISA bureaucracy. She said she was asked to go to Mumbai passport office personally to get VISA approved and she didn’t have the time. That’s her excuse and she is sticking to it! Haha…
Honestly, I don’t believe she was ever going to go to India. There’s a clip on KUWTK she got some minor blowback for where she’s discussing indian food with her sisters (kendall and ky) and is talking about how nasty, disgusting and repulsive it is.
I doubt she actually intended on going to india- plus, i know that visas for average joe do take long for india (reference: indian immigrant but now american) but for people that are really high up the food chain (aka celebrities and those who bring visibility) it’s really easy and commonplace for someone’s palms to be greased in India. You’d be surprised- there’s probably not a thing you can’t get out of in india without paying someone off with a bribe.
I got a 10 yr tourist visa last year. It only took a few weeks, maybe 3? The application is horribly tedious, but processing time wasnt bad.
Im sure she was supposed to get some kind of work visa though, so who knows what that process is like.

She was supposed to dress up in a sari and do some Bollywood dances. Thank God she didn’t go to India because the world does not need to see Kim’s poor attempt at dancing in a sari she would take from classy to raunchy in seconds. We’d also probably get footage of her eating chicken curry and pretending to like it because she is really fake and when she’s getting paid would say how she now loves Indian food.
Visas depend on the visiting country. So yeah, she might have prefered to skip India (although I doubt she’d have to spend a night on the slums, so I don’t think she’d give a fuck if it’s India or NYC), but just because she’s been to the UAE doesn’t mean she can automatically visit India.
India isn’t part of the UAE. The point is, why wasn’t the visa applied for in advance like a normal person would do? It normally takes a few weeks to get an Indian Visa. Did Kim and her people think she was special? I mean they had enough time to negotiate a contract and money, but not the damn Visa ?
Kim is worth 60 million so she decide that hanging out on a yacht was better than going to India for $800,000, when it comes to India she’s not getting out of bed for less than a million.
I think the show organizers just decided against bringing her on as the feedback from the viewers was really negative. People in India know exactly what she is and perceive her the same way Americans do. They were all booing this decision on twitter and all over the internet. The viewers wanted the makers to do something about the show instead of bringing in a useless guest who doesn’t add any value to it. This year the show has been one sided and really boring. It mostly attracts the worst kind of contestants, especially so this year. She would have fit right in with all the other attention seekers. But I think the makers realized that what she’d bring to the show is just not worth the money. They brought in a whole bunch of wild card contestants instead for a lot cheaper.
