These were two of my favorite ladies at last night’s SAG Awards. Reese Witherspoon wins a lot of “Best” awards for me in this look. She had the best white gown, the best ponytail, best American Citizen and easily one of the best overall looks. Her white gown is custom Armani, and she accessorized with Harry Winston jewels. This is what I like about Reese – she’s old enough to know what silhouettes look best on her and she manages to find a balance with “sticking with what works” and “changing it up just enough to make it interesting.” Like, Jennifer Aniston can’t find that balance. Aniston looks like she stepped off a red carpet in 1997. Reese manages to look both classic and modern. Also: who knew Reese had such a cute booty?
And now I’m worried about my Julianna Margulies love. In motion, on the E! red carpet show, I LOVED Julianna’s Giambattista Valli. I thought it was fresh and interesting and a great color. But in still photos, does it still work? Or does that swoop detail ruin it? From the waist up, Julianna is perfection, so let’s give her that. But I’m still undecided on the bottom half.

Agree. Style-wise, she’s had an amazing year. She rarely makes a big misstep on the red carpet.

Armani used the same silhouette last year for Emilia Clarke’s dress (at the SAGs as well) in bronze and it was just gorgeous.
Reese is so painfully boring and predictable.
I think this is a fairly unpredictable look for her actually.

Admittedly, I didn’t watch the red carpet coverage, but from what I saw of the gowns during the show last night, I thought several of the ladies were looking pretty darn fantastic. For me, in comparison, Reese looked fine, but dull.

I think this is one of Reese’s best looks this season. I never realized what a cute body she has. She should show it off more! But I’m not a big fan of the ponytail 🙁

As long as Reese is sober and a good American citizen, she looks great and good to go.
What’s up with bunched up bottom dress of Julianna? Hope she didn’t trip herself and went “ass over tits” as British would say! Love the color though, she looks good.
She looks like she has butt pads on underneath…she looks padded and squeezed within and inch of her life here.

The fit on Reese’s dress is flawless. And her face looks so fresh!
Julianna’s dress – I kinda love, even though it looks as if she just returned from the ladies room and forgot to pull her dress back down.
Yes, Julianne’s dress definitely has that look about it, haha. But the color is lovely on her — and even matches her husband’s eyes! — and I’m digging her hair and makeup.

That’s what I was thinking too. The color is great on her, but the skirt looks like an oopsie.
Reese again looks very nice and elegant, but I also feel like the dress has been done time and time again. I would love to see something “fresh” on her.

Reese looks like a movie star. I like it. But she does look kind of spanxy, like she can’t breath.
It does look a little uncomfortable but overall I really like the look. I’m partial to simple and classic looks though.
I’d say more matronly than bridal.
The fashion this year is so bad that Reese’s boring white dress is the best dress.
I really like Reese’s gown and I’ve been impressed with her red carpet style this awards season.
However, I really hate her hair and makeup here. For such a beautiful gown, the hair/makeup is such a letdown.
Reese was fantastic from head to toe.
Julianna’s bottom half looks like she went to the bathroom and accidentally walked out with a corner of the skirt tucked in her underwear. That’s how I imagined it the first time I saw it, and now I can’t see anything else!
Reese’s dress and styling are awesome. It’s when I get to her face that I have a problem. There, I said it.
I loved the dress and her hair pulled back- but both her and Julianne’s blush were off- kept hearing comments how hot it was- maybe that help explains the “flush”.
American Citizen’s dress is really pretty. There is just so much “mean” in her face. She kinda scares me.
NO WAY is this white dress better than Viola’s goddess gown.
miss priss looks pretty good tho, it fits well, although she needs to unclench her lips (and probably her sphincter) -she looks pissy, tightly wound, high strung, bitchily anal, like someone that would use the “do you know who i am?!?!” card.
