Here are some photos from last night’s Elle Style Awards in London. This is Elle UK, the same magazine that trolls the Dragonflies about Tom Hiddleston’s possible wedding and baby announcements (he’s not getting married nor is he having a baby, as far as I know). Much like the American “fashion awards” shows, pretty much everyone who shows up gets an award. But there were some interesting fashion moments too. My favorite (I KNOW!) was actually Cara Delevingne in this black Vivienne Westwood. Shockingly conservative dress for Cara, and her hair and makeup are on-point. What in the world?! Cara also won Breakthrough Actress. For some reason.
Lindsay Lohan came out because she’s SO SICK you guys. She had to be hospitalized and everything. Now she’s back to being crackie at random events. I would imagine she wasn’t even really invited to the Elle event, but they didn’t feel like turning her away. The fishnet panel on this gown is… odd.
Taylor Swift won woman of the year at the Elle UK awards. Her dress is straight off the runway, a Julien Macdonald Fall 2015 gown. I feel like she doesn’t do dark green all that often? This feels unusual. And it’s a good look for her too. I especially like her hair.
Jourdan Dunn – I don’t know, maybe Versace? Perhaps. I feel like she should have gone either/or with this look. Either she shows off her girls OR her legs, not both.
Diane Kruger won Elle’s Film Actress of the Year. She wore this petal pink Chanel spring 2015 Couture. She’s Diane and she almost always kills it. Love it.
Alexa Chung in what looks like a sister-wife dress. I’m consistently amazed that she’s considered a fashionista or style icon because almost every time I see her on a red carpet, she’s dressed like an overgrown toddler.
I might have saved the best for last! Here’s Gwendoline Christie wearing a CAPE designed by her boyfriend Giles Deacon. If you’re over 6 feet tall and you’re known for kicking ass and taking named on Game of Thrones, you get your boyfriend to design special capes just for you.

Holy Christ at Alexa Chungs legs
I kind of feel bad for Alexa. She’s a slender woman, but it seems like her legs are the last place on her body to gain weight, so they look disproportionately skinny.
For me, the last place to gain weight on my body are my boobs. 🙁
Yeah, she has ridiculously skinny arms and legs, but when you see her chest or something it doesn’t look that bad. She’s just incredibly gangly.
Juordan looks skinnier than Alexa to me.
Jordon Dunn is so ridiculously gorgeous, it makes me feel hideous. I like the color in Swifty, I just don’t like the dress. It seems very costume-y and I don’t find her sexy enough to pull it off.
I KNOW. I looked at her dress and shoes to criticize them and then I was like, this kid has beautiful legs, and beautiful skin and a beautiful face, ugh!! lolz. That’s how gorgeous she is, with a bad hairdo and an ugly outfit and we still are stunned by her beauty!!!
I want to go on a diet now. Jourdan has the most gorgeous body I’ve ever seen.
I like Cara’s dress and hair, but her face looks greasy? The makeup is off. Plus, it would look better without the necklace.
Swifty looks good, but I don’t like the hair.
Diane’s dress is plain ugly. UGLY.
Juordan’s hair and makeup are lovely, but the dress isn’t all that much.
I usually love Alexa’s style, but this dress is boring.
Cara’s face does look greasy, plus that orange-y shade of her lipstick looks cheap. She looks best when she just acentuates her eyes, not lips.

I like Cara’s dress, and Taylor’s too- it’s striking. Diane is gorgeous but I hate that dress. Ditto for Jourdan- i’m sorry but that looks like it’s from the Versace Streetwalker Collection.

Alexa Chung always the the frumpster hipster. I can’t believe her people tell her she looks good and let her leave the house looking like that. They should be fired. That dress isn’t even cute for a toddler.

I feel like an old fart. I hate everything on the catwalks this year. It’s like a competition as to who can make the least flattering silhouette.
I mean Caras flatters her body, but her face is so harsh in the pics. Taylor’s has a belt; yet is still crumpled around her waist (but Yay for no bangs), the rest look cheap or somehow like gained 30 lbs over night from bad design.
Ok the old lady is going inside to drink ensure and stop shaking her cane at the young people these days.
Jourdan Dunn is stunning, so envious of her body. Cara looks good but Wtf at Cara being named breakthrough actress? Has anyone seen a film with her in? Does someones management buy these awards?

Jourdan looks tiny to me. Pretty but tiny. The camera adds some pounds so in real life she would be really skinny i guess.
Thanks Gnat, i usually don’t have problem with the size of my breasts even though sometimes is a little difficult to find a bikini that flatters me… I don’t like the VS super pudded or squeezed look. I prefer to look natural.
I feel like Cara took a really elegant, old Hollywood look and ruined it with a mean mug and terrible shoes in that first photo. But from, like, the thighs up she looks good.

I actually love Cara’s old world glamour with the punk rock face. It’s kind of theatrical and emotional. I prefer off-beat to the “duh” face.
I can’t comment on Swifty or rather shouldn’t; I’m team Kanye in that I so deeply loathe her marketing image. I don’t despise the human, she reminds me of the “nice” kids in Jr high…however her styling & music etc puts me to the edge of insanity. The green dress is for a dark haired beauty, not today’s favourite pop star barbie.

Am I the only one who doesn’t get the appeal of Cara however-you-spell-her-last name? I mean, she’s very pretty and all of that but I just don’t see what makes her such an in-demand “top model.” Eh…oh well.

cara’s whole gorgeous look is wasted on her, she’s so surly and hard in these photos. I LOVE that dress and the styling but I’d like to see it on someone else.
Whatever push up bra Cara has on is doing her some major favors. Usually, those undergarments make everything look pinched, but it’s very flattering here. Great dress and pretty styling.
Lilo’s face is awful, but I can handle the dress. She has done far worse. The stripper shoes are a total miss, though.
Taylor’s dress is lovely, but it looks ill-fitted? For somebody so desperate to be a fashion icon, I’m always surprised at how often she walks around in improperly fitted clothing. You’d think with that kind of money, she’d be styled to the point every time.
I like the pattern on Alexa Chung’s dress but not the style. I agree that I don’t get her fashion icon status, either.
I have mixed feelings on Kruger’s dress. Maybe in a different color? It’s interesting, I’ll give her that. She’s wearing the sh*t out of it, that’s for sure.

Pretty much every single one of these ladies looks lovely. I have only two meanie-head nits to pick:
Cara looks amazing from the neck down, but the harsh lighting and very sleek hair makes her face look a bit haggard.
Or maybe it’s all the cocaine. Hard to say.
And Lindsay has slimmed down again and is looking very nice, but in that first photo she looks too exhausted to even stand up straight. The second is a little better, but she still looks tired. Maybe she is sick?
Or maybe it’s all the booze.
Lindsay- yikes. Being near other healthy, stylish women really highlights how horrible she looks. Why does she even go to these events?
