Kim Kardashian posted this Instagram yesterday. I sometimes worry that the Kardashian and Jenner sisters are in the midst of some kind of lip injection war. They’re trying to see who can “get away” with having the most ridiculous and obvious lip augmentation around. For a while it was Kim, then it was Khloe, and currently the reigning lip augmentation champion is Kylie Jenner. But Kim wants a shot at the title again, so that’s why we’re getting lip-close-up selfies. If you note the caption, Kim is trying to make us believe that this is just about lip liner. Sure. Also: I hate “fleek.” Stop trying to make “fleek” happen.
What else is going on in Kardashian World? Well, Kanye went overboard yesterday on his Twitter – go here to see some of his NSFW tweets. Kanye posted screencaps of one of Kim’s naked photoshoots and Kanye brushed off his CAPS LOCK to tell everyone “I’M SO LUCKY” and “CONGRATS BABY ON 30 MILLION TWITTER FOLLOWERS” and “CONGRATS BABY ON THE SHOW PREMIERE LAST NIGHT.” I’ll give him this… I believe he really loves her. For real. He’s crazy, he’s a megalomaniac, he’s an unrepentant narcissist, but he does love her.
Meanwhile, Kim also ‘Shopped/edited some photos of North West to make her eyes light-colored instead of brown (North’s natural eye color). When I was a lot younger, I toyed around with the idea of getting colored contacts, so I kind of wish I had easy access to this kind of technology back then, just to see what I would have looked like with a different eye color. At the end of the day though… Kim is still digitally altering her baby’s photos. I wonder what kind of long-term damage Kim is going to do to North sometimes. I mean, Kim is probably going to raise North like Kris Jenner raised her girls. Which means North will grow up believing that her natural beauty is something that can and should be altered, often through surgery.

As for ‘shopping North’s pics, am I surprised? Not really. I honestly feel like KK sometimes treats the girl like a new toy. I hope the reality isn’t as bad as I imagine, but who really knows?

She truly is. I mean, an upper lip that much bigger than the lower cannot possibly seem like a naturally alluring look to anyone with a bit of common (or aesthetic) sense.

Yes, you can see that the liner is in wide arc around her lip line. You can see the textural difference. That does not, however, preclude augmentation inside the line. Obfuscator.

I don’t really think we are in an either/or situation. This doesn’t have to be either she has lip injections or she is wearing liner. I think she has lip injections and is wearing funky lip liner.
This is giving me flashbacks to the 90s and the Kim Mathers style brown lip liner! I have to admit…I do sometimes use a blond eye pencil to give my lip stick a neutral undertone. But you can’t over do it or you look hideous!
It’s not a question of whether she overdrew her lips and you can see her “skin,” – obviously this is the way these sisters camoflage their periodic lip augmentation. This is a procedure that needs to be kept up. One look at their ‘old,’ pics and you can see their mouthes were significantly smaller and in Kylie’s case, non-existent. So very obviously they take reg trips to the cosmetic surgeon to keep up the pout.
That doesn’t mean they also don’t overdraw their already surgically enhanced lips with lip liner too to make them look even larger and fuller.
Also, liner won’t cause your profile to look like a trout either. 🐟 🐌

I don’t think Kylie had her lips done, they never look the same size. My guess is that she uses one of those lips plumper/enhancer.
Sometimes I wonder if Kylie’s little legions of tween and teen fans/supporters (or her management’s staff) aren’t sending posters to denounce the obvious lip augmentation. My guess is she’s got a lip liner or makeup line that she wants to try and schill to young girls: buy my lip liner and you can get the silicone pair of lips and restiylne mouth I went under anesthesia for. Very sad that there’s money to be had in trickery and lies…even sadder that so young a person may be engaging in deception of young girls for some corporation ready to make bank on her name.

Her lips are overpainted and inflated. People’s lips thin out as they age, not get fuller.
Even Angelina’s have thinned out a bit. Still full of course but they have thinned out.

@jules,I think she always had a plump lower lip but if you look at her top lip at the right, you can see where her actual lip ends.
You can see the outline of the top lip, but you can also see where it’s been inflated especially in the corners. Whilst she never had as thin a top lip as Kylie, it was also not as big as this picture.
It’s when the lip starts to lose it’s natural creases or ridges that it’s most obvious. Kylie could fob that off as youth (at a push) but not someone in their mid 30s.
Kim is famous for using photoshop, so is it possible she is using photoshop to make her lips look like she just uses lip liner? As for changing North’s eye color there is something very disturbing about changing your child’s features like that. Not good

On one hand… knowing how to properly line your lips can really make a huge difference.
If you want a larger fuller lip on top. Start to line your upper lip from the outer CORNER of you mouth and go towards your cupid bow.
Practically everyone starts at the top of the cupids bow and draws down. Don’t.
If you start out the outer corners and outline inwards… you tend to line just on top of the natural lip line.
It is that tiny difference, which will make your lip a little fuller/wider.
And when lining the bottom lip… never go all the way into the corner. (You only want to line that upper lip to the corners.) Leave a little space on the lower lip line. Then fill in with lip stick. The goal should be… balance. The lips should look even in size. Not one bigger than the other.
And yes… it looks like the these sisters are into some type of injection battle, on who can jack up their natural lips the most.
All then need to do is look to Lisa Rinna. And the surgery she had to have perform, to repair the stretched out and lumpy lip skin she had. After years of lip injections.
Sadly, I did recently notice… that it looked like that Lisa Rinna went back and got more lip injections. I guess having her lips sliced open and scrapped out and sewn up…. was not that painful.
I think you should just pretty much accept your lip size. Trying to make your lips look fuller with liner always looks like exactly what it is to me. I can spot it a mile away.
I thought Lisa Rinna had a lip implant. She removed it afew years ago, but looks to have re-inserted it.

Lisa’s lips and Yolanda’s have that upper-lip droop in the center of each side that just hangs down and looks so bizarre. They look like circus freaks.
She had silicone injected into them. It doesn’t go away. That’s outlawed now or even then, way back when she did it. They developed scar tissue and looked even bigger. A doctor some years back tried to take out some of the scar tissue to help them look better.
It’s permanent. She can’t do anything about it

Also, you can see her normal lip shape under the lip liner. That must look so strange up close in real life where it’s far more obvious.

As for the liner, I always wonder how those things look in person (lining, contouring, etc.). I just don’t see how it could look right in person. So, how long before we all start wearing filter glasses/contacts/ having filter surgery to make it so that we see ourselves/others in that hazy ‘shopped perfection? Surely people like Kim must think we already have this, to not see that they are wearing ten gallons of makeup and have altered the picture to get them looking this way. Would we recognise them in real life without the filter implants? Does she recognise herself in the mirror, or does she only look at her selfies, post ‘shop?

So besides the obvious fillers and lip plumpers, these ladies contour the hell out of their faces, over line their lips, put on fake eyelashes, line their eyes with kohl eyeliner and then do an exaggerated smoky eye. This is their make up routine every day. That is a drag queen style routine, but at least a drag queen is going for a campy, over the top look.

One of my favorite makeup sites is promoting contouring products, which I assume may be because of KK’s influence on the world. Contouring all over the face with such strong tones is just asking for trouble, IMO.
I recall a very beautiful TV actress once saying to leave cheek contouring to a professional, because it is easy to mess up. Now contouring involves the entire face.
Kim was not the first to do contouring. I hate how she gets the credit for so many things that she didn’t do first. She just hopped on the bandwagon and then killed the trend by doing too much. When I saw the ONE photo of North laughing, that broke my heart. She has the cutest smile and we never ever see that smile.This kid is depressed. I looked like that as a baby and I suffered from clinical depression AND had a very dysfunctional family. I never smiled in ANY photo when I was a baby. There are reasons for this.
