Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian out and about in LA yesterday. I’m assuming she was wearing some kind of corset or “waist-trainer” for her outing. Either that, or Kim’s “waist training” really has worked and she has crazy-unnatural proportions. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy an hourglass figure as much as the next person. If Kim was naturally proportioned like this, I would think she had a bombshell figure. But this is Ol’ Kat-face. We know this is unnatural. We know she’s been lipo’d and “waist-trained” and everything else. Kim also posted this photo on her Instagram:
It wouldn’t surprise me at all if she was doing real damage to her internal organs. Because YIKES. Oh, and I’m including some photos of Kim taken from behind, and as you can see, her pants are stretched to the limit and Kim flashed her underwear (go here for the NSFW-ish photo).
Meanwhile, one of Kim’s childhood friends, Nikki Lund, gave an interview about what Kim was like when they were kids. Lund says that she and Kim both started wearing makeup and dieting when they were 13 years old: “It was mostly the Atkins and the South Beach Diet. We did the Cabbage Soup Diet and we’d be there boiling great big vats of cabbage. We were like, ‘Yes, we’re going to be thin.’ Kim was always saying her nose wasn’t perfect. I thought she was nuts. Every girl has something they don’t like.” Eh. I think most girls going through puberty feel awkward and imperfect. Just because Kim was vain or weight-conscious doesn’t mean that all teenage girls who feel that way are going to end up being superficial Botox monsters, you know?
PS… These are the first photos of Kim’s blonde hair where I actually do believe she’s wearing a hairpiece or “fall”. That bump in the back looks like a partial wiglet, right?

I was thinking she is staring to look like a video game character. Especially in the second pic where she is snapping the selfie in the mirror.
Barbies may have big boobs and tiny waists but they also have slim hips and thin, long legs.
IF (and this is a hell of an if) only she was naturally gifted with such proportions, it would be cool…BUT (and this is a HUGE BUT-pun intended) she is SO PLASTIC! She had a pretty, femenine and proportionate figure in the past, just as she had a lovely face. Now, she is just a change-my-nappies barbie doll. What good is it if it was created by a plastic surgeon??? No merit on it…she better watch her uterus…mine recently prolapsed after years of girdles, tight clothing, high heels and yoyo weight loss-gain…ladies out there: no heels, tight pants or spanx are worth your uterus prolapsing. I wish more doctors told you that before it’s too late.

Every so often high heels and tight clothes won’t hurt but i screwed up by doing that every day. So my body was under a lot of stress. The doc said i could have a partial hysterectomy and keep the ovaries so i don’t go into menopause…or i can get “stitched back into place”…or do physiotherapy to strenghten the pelvic muscles before resorting to surgery. I’m close to turning 40 so i’m trying physiotherapy. But whenever i see a young lady wearng tight clothes and high heels i cringe and hope they don’t do that all the time, cough…like Kim….

That’s sort of a myth. With a well-made steel boned corset you can lace down the waist dramatically without restricting the lungs. I wear corsets and lace down 5-6 inches in my waist regularly with no breathing trouble. Some can people do much more.
She isn’t wearing a corset in these photos though. You would see the line of it under her see through pants. It’s probably a lot of shapewear and a girdle.

Nope, I often think the same thing. If I wear a pair of jeans that are too snug all day at work, I’m miserable. I can’t imagine walking around like that all the time, not to mention all the pain from surgeries. I’m pretty ignorant about fertility issues, but I’m wondering if all this waist training could be potentially interfering with getting pregnant. If your body perceives that it’s constantly under duress, e.g. in the process of being crushed and swallowed by a large boa constrictor 24/7, could this affect reproductive processes? I’m just wondering. Also, if I wore pants that tight all the time, I would probably develop a yeast infection. It all looks incredibly painful to me.

I dont know. The body snark is kind of off putting. I know I am always banging on about her cult following amongst the fashion bloggers and MUA of instagram and so on… but there are a lot of women with a figure like her. Check out glamrezy.com and houseofcb… all the models are very similar to her. Im not saying they havent tweaked like she has but she’s really not all that much of a majestic unicorn if you get what Im saying!
Not only this but my legs to hips to waist are a lot like hers. I just have these wide flaring hips with a small waist and it makes for some very angled femurs. If that figure wasnt real, she wouldnt have that kind of thigh placement. The volume in that butt is highly questionable though!
Yeah I have always been put off by the way people talk her body being weird or gross etc. In the black/latino community that body shape is pretty normal, well, minus the surgeries. I hate how people also assume that anyone with that body shape obviously had surgeries, injections or whatever.
The reason her body astonishes is because she really has altered it surgically both in front (breasts) and in back (liposuctioned fat injections into her derrière). We see plenty of women of her apparent dimensions in back but there is seriously something unnatural about her specific body for this reason- that’s what people are picking up on, consciously or unconsciously. We have pictures of her in earlier times- that is simply not her natural shape. I think people are used to artificial breast enhancement, so that is not as jarring. But it still seems so strange to do it to your backside. That’s also why her fat distribution seemed so weird during pregnancy- her natural fat distribution (determined by genetics) had been artificially altered so much. Her sister Kourtney always looks normal while pregnant (and when not pregnant) because she hasn’t messed with the natural location of her fatty tissue.
So if this were Kim’s natural shape, I don’t think people would focus on it so much. It just looks so odd and when combined with what she keeps doing to her face- it triggers endless discussions of why in the world would she do this to herself. What is going on in her head? What does she see in the mirror? All sorts of important issues are raised by it, which is why people keep talking about it. I have mixed feelings, since I think it’s a sign of such serious emotional/ mental problems and I’m afraid the dysfunction will be passed on to her daughter.

In the early 20th century, we have side shows in circuses or ‘freak show’ acts that were popular. In the 21st century, we have people like the Kardashians and Kim is a new version of the side show act or ‘freak’, with one difference – the sideshow ‘freak’ of the early 20th century couldn’t help their condition, but Kim does it all to herself.
You can’t tell me that she is a good example for women or looks remotely proportional. She is waist training or turning back to an era of corsets, which was dangerous and is dangerous for women [squishing their organs, in some cases, cutting their liver in two].
