Teens are taking the Kylie Jenner lip challenge with disastrous results

People think we are cousins. 👀❤️ @honeybunchz

A photo posted by Kylizzle (@kyliejenner) on

Here’s a photo of Kylie Jenner with a friend. They both have the same plumped lips, but Kylie’s the one on the right. I’ve talked a lot about Kylie’s lips, mostly because she wants us to talk about them. Kylie insists that her lips are so boring and not worthy of discussion, but she spends 40 minutes plumping them every day. She Instagrams the lips all the time to remind us that, yes, her lips are much bigger than they were last year.

Kylie’s lips are an internet trending topic. She’s influencing teens who want to live a life of lip-plumping luxury too, and there are pictures to prove it.

(WARNING: The following links contain very graphic photos.)

A disturbing new Twitter tag, #KylieJennerChallenge, has come out. The trend calls for sticking one’s lips into a shot glass or bottle, which causes lips to swell (because blood vessels burst). Teens are taking this asinine challenge, and they’re in a lot of pain as a result. USA Today gathered up a bunch of disturbing selfies of teens who did this. The results are just awful — these kids are achieving (temporarily) larger lips, but they’re unable to eat, and they’re experiencing some nasty bleeding and scarring. Seventeen spoke to a dermatologist who says the challenge can lead to “permanent disfigurement.” TMZ says some teens have been hospitalized after doing this.

Kylie’s lips say she wants no part of this challenge. She distanced herself on Twitter.

This is so sad and horrifying. Teens are hurting themselves in an effort to be like Kylie, who has provided a tutorial on how she plumps her lips with liner and makeup. She never talks about the injections, of course. All of this risk, just to imitate a Jenner girl.

One more very important thing. Tyga’s ex, Blac Chyna, performed her own version of the #KylieJennerChallenge with wax lips! #shade

For f*cks sake. This is pathetic.

    • MooHoo says:

      +1

    • bettyrose says:

Lip.liner. I can’t be bothered but if one craves the look of, er, bigger lips, there’s your tool. Gawd don’t teens read Seventeen any more? It’s a vapid, boyfriend obsessed rag but generally harmless fun.

      • an irl teenager says:

i just wanted to pop on and say that teens aren’t doing this to look like her, just to make fun of her***. nobody actually looks up to fish lips for beauty tips.

( *** not that it makes it any less stupid and dangerous. )

  2. Cara says:

Oh, girl…start a GED program and hope a nice pack of wolves comes by and offers to adopt you…
‘Peak’ is the top of something, honey…but you should take a ‘peek’ at tutoring and getting your head out of your a**.

    • bettyrose says:

Or at least a good money manager. Education and job skills may be too much to hope for, but if they don’t squander their fortunes we’ll at least be spared watching these girls go the Lohan route of lifestyle maintenance.

    • Kiki04 says:

I cringe every time I remember the people in this family are considered role models to some. I’m just glad I grew up when I did……..and when they weren’t around.

  3. LadyMTL says:

The stupidity of some people just boggles my mind. I remember a few years ago when that cinnamon challenge was all the rage, and I thought that was dumb too. Why do people do this to themselves? I’m not saying that those who got seriously injured deserved it but seriously…why??

    • TX says:

The name Darwin comes to mind 😉

    • EC says:

Yes, that cinnamon challenge came to mind, and I think something about licking salt on you arm? (no, not for tequila shots). My point is, every few years these asinine “challenges” come up and people claim kids will die but no one does. It is incredible stupid and really embarrassing that these kids will have it documented on social media forever, but…kids are idiots a lot of the time, you know?

  4. sionainne says:

Sad to me that she is so young but does not look fresh or youthful and certainly not innocent. She really has nothing to offer. I think most teens are smarter than to look up to her and see how shallow and self-serving she is. I hope. Also, she looks like she is using that eyelid tape marketed to Asian women in addition to the contacts. Ugh.

    • Lizzie says:

Your comment suggests that innocence and freshness/youth are the only things girls have to offer. You probably didn’t mean it that way, but that suggestion jumped out at me due to the placement of the sentence that she “really has nothing to offer” immediately following the initial sentence bemoaning Jenner’s lack of freshness and innocence.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not defending her superficiality and self absorption, and she’s certainly not discussing substantive issues (or even quoting anything substantive) and offering intellectual content, but I am wary of falling into the old idea that girls have to be fresh or innocent to have value.

      • CatFoodJunkie says:

I don’t think it’s necessary to start a new paragraph, on a gossip cite, just to formally indicate you’re starting a new subject. I took her meaning just fine… and please don’t be too hasty to read judgment into an innocent comment. Sometimes the (for want of a better phrase) PC-ness is stifling. Kylie, at her age, really doesn’t have much to offer, except love and kindness…whether she contributes anything to anybody (society or family) is still in the making. Reminder: This girl is only 17 years old. I have a very pretty niece who is 18, is out of college and into an MBA program (she’s driven, for sure), and she is constantly posting pictures of herself looking her very best to IG. We know my niece has a bright future ahead of her, and has a need to make a difference, but to look at her IG you would never suspect it. 😀

    • annaloo. says:

She looks like a living Bratz doll. Remember those?

    • Elle says:

Take a look at her Twitter and Instagram followers comments. Teens think she is the best thing since sliced bread and they all want to be/look like her… Sad..

  5. evasmom says:

What a joke. She doesn’t even look like herself anymore. She was not born with that face and those lips so what the heck is she talking about?
She has not accepted herself so how is she encouraging others to do the same?

    • Mrs.Krabapple says:

I agree. She was so unhappy with her looks that she had surgery (eye lids) while still a teenager, and a whole bunch of other stuff done (lip injections, etc.). She is clearly NOT happy with who she is. I blame her family for pimping her out so young, and for focusing solely on being “attractive” as a goal in life. Now, she doesn’t even look real – she looks as fake as those strange european porn “stars.”

And saying “not be afraid to experiment w your look” is NOT telling people to be happy with who they are. Talk about mixed messages.

    • qwerty says:

Oh, you obviously just misunderstood her. Dind’t you read what she wrote? “I want to encourage people/young girls like me to be YOURSELF & not be afraid to experiment w your look. ❤️❤️❤️” /s

  6. tifzlan says:

You know, thousands of women across the world have had thick lips since the beginning of time but some Jenner girl comes along and all of a sudden, thick lips are revolutionary. THEY’RE LIPS. Also, i think she’s been getting butt injections too.

    • Tifygodess24 says:

Exactly. Apparently they also invented makeup , colored hair dye , hair and eyelash extensions , the crop top and who knows what else! Thank god we have them or we would all look very dull. 😉
Kylie is clearly the most insecure of this group of women which is a shame since she really is young . Her body should look less like Kim and more like Kendall yet here we are. Between the lips, boobs and butt she’s a mess and that is not just puberty. Please.

    • Kitten says:

Tifzlan-yes, I saw the recent shot of her where her butt is noticeably bigger. Ugh

      • claire says:

Yep. It’s sad. She very clearly though got the butt surgery or injections done. You can see a clear change in her IG. She had a regular butt size for her, doesn’t focus on her butt in her photos. Then suddenly a next photo she’s got the Kim butt and starts posing all the time showing it off. Her idiot parents are such freaking failures.

      • qwerty says:

Where are those pics? I wanna see them! Can’t wait till she get a horse butt like her sisters!

    • Cankles says:

Because it’s edgy and cool when she does it…you know, like when she had dreadlocks! /sarcasm

What I really don’t understand is why she seems to be wearing blue contacts on a regular basis now. I think she has beautiful eyes…they’re probably her best feature! Of course, I’m speaking as someone with blue eyes who always wished I had brown eyes instead, so maybe I’m a bit of a hypocrite here.

      • Shambles says:

+ 1 on the contacts. Whenever I would see photos of her, after getting over the dizziness from seeing the rest of her manufactured face, I would always notice how pretty her amber eyes were. Beautiful color, beautiful shape. But then again, no one she’s associated with knows how to leave well enough alone, as evidenced by Kim’s 2009 face.

      • Kitten says:

ITA. What is wrong with brown eyes? Big brown eyes with dark lashes is a gorgeous combination.

Apparently Kylie’s clone in the top pic wears blue contacts as well.

    • Joy says:

I think she’s had her whole damn face, boobs, and butt done. The sky’s the limit with these people.

    • Dani2 says:

100% agree, women have looked this way well before Kylie joined Instagram.

      • Shannon1972 says:

I’m feeling a bit vindicated here. I was born in New Jersey and I would just like to point out that there isn’t much difference between Jersey Shore style, circa 1989, and the Kardashians. This look has been around forever! Fake nails (press on!), fake tan, fake eyelashes and hair, colored contacts, big hair, half shirts, skimpy, skin tight clothes, exaggerated lips, name it. Down the shore, we’ve been there, done that and bought the t-shirt years ago. 😉
Yet, NJ was considered a massive national joke and cultural wasteland because of it and the Kardashian/Jenners are….oh wait a minute…

  7. Laura says:

While I think she’s a horrific role model I do cut her slack for being born into a family that are all about superficial, shallow, conceited, self promotion. It would be admirable for her to have turned out to be someone that sets a better example but that would be unusual given the circumstances rather than expected imo.

I do think she handled this well and I like her response.

Some teens are really easily swayed and don’t always have the best guidance from friends and family. There will be a lot of more switched on people that think it’s all ridiculous.

    • Sarah says:

For once, I can’t blame a Kardashian. These people are just stupid morons. Blac Chyna, however, wins the internet. THAT is awesome. LOL!

    • Erinn says:

Yeah, I’m a slight apologist here. I mean, if she continues on like this for her whole life, then all bets are off. But there’s still a little hope she’ll turn it around in some way or another.

She’s not telling the girls to go out and use shot glasses to suction cup their lips and all that shit. She did a makeup tutorial thing, which hell, is pretty harmless – and it has brought out some hilarious results. I actually almost want to try it just to see how much Ronald McDonald I’d look.

But I tend to overall, give the Jenner girls a little bit of wiggle room. Their dad didn’t parent much, their mother sells them out, and their sisters are the role models they grew up with and they’re wrecks too. They’re not like me. I grew up with super involved parents, and a dad who kept pushing me to do sports, and stay active, and to admire the kinds of people who brought about great change. They didn’t have that in their life. It’s not a surprise they don’t value education, or charity, or whatever. Given what they were brought up to value, they’re really not THAT offensive.

  8. Josephine says:

I had been assuming that those teens were mocking her, not copying her.

And rich advice from her that kids should be themselves. Yeah, look like yourself, except for the fake body parts, injections and fillers, weaves, clothes suited for someone much older, and pounds of make-up. Otherwise, just like yourself.

    • Brin says:

      This^^^

    • Tiffany :) says:

“And rich advice from her that kids should be themselves”

      Exactly!
Fool, you bought a totally brand new face! Who are you to tell others to be themselves when you can’t handle your natural state of being at 17? Get some therapy and get back to us.

  9. Lindy79 says:

Anyone who thinks that lipliner is the only thing she is using is naive beyond belief.

    • Jules says:

There appears to be millions of them out there.

    • Kitten says:

      Hello cats –
It almost makes me mad when people still insist that it’s lipliner. As if it would be SO out of character for someone in this family to get plastic surgery.

    • Lindy79 says:

HA it’s like a wise cat convention in here!

I don’t doubt that she still lines outside of her lipline but her natural lipline has been altered (you can see it if you look carefully at the pictures and it’s much fuller than it was) with the use of fillers. The whole shape of her mouth has changed.

She comes from the Real Housewife school of thought of “if they don’t use a scalpel then its not cosmetic surgery”

      • bellenola says:

I still think she’s been ‘under the scalpel’ and had a nose job. Her eyebrows are a completely different shape as well, though that could be botox.

      • claire says:

@bellenola: definitely an eyelift. she went from slightly hooded eyes and not much real estate between the lid and eyebrows to these big doe eyes and super high eyebrows.

    • eknasok says:

      Definitly not just lipliner.

But for stage and photos a visagist can do wonders with theater make up and other utensils.

  10. Krista says:

If she would just admit she’s had lip injections maybe young girls would realise that what they’re aspiring to be is not realistically capable naturally. If she truly cares that her fans are harming their bodies to look like her she could at least tell them the truth.

    • PunkyMomma says:

^This. It’s unconscionable to me that she would continue this farce in the face of her fans injuring themselves to achieve her look.

  11. Talie says:

One gross pic involved a shot glass exploding and literally ripping someone’s mouth open. Of course, the child Instagram’d it before a hospital visit.

  12. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Her only concern or thought is about her appearance. What a shallow, empty vessel.

    • Esmom says:

I would weep for the future of humanity except I just finished reading some local news stories about high schoolers doing cool, productive, thoughtful, generous things. Thank goodness not everyone buys into this crap.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I agree. Most of my friends’ and relatives’ teenage children give me hope. They are smart and nice and well meaning, and they do things like ask people to donate the money they would get as graduation gifts to charity, etc. I guess that’s another reason I see her as such a waste – headed nowhere with an empty head.

  13. Loopy says:

I can’t believe I am about to defend her but I remember a couple of years ago when Kylie and Kendall were doing a lot of shoots and appearances together, Kylie was always mocked and called the plain Jane or Ugly duckling which can’t be easy for a pubescent teenage girl. Her lips were ridiculed for being paper thin and people noted that without her sister she would get no model gigs. Well this is the result of damaging a young child’s self esteem and she has legions of fans who will follow in her foot steps. Trolling is vicious and can truly change a person.

    • Ana says:

I agree. Although I think mostly in part it has to do with the ‘role models’ she had while growing up…
Her last pictures make it really obvious how much she looks up to Kim.

    • Tifygodess24 says:

This is more a product of having a mother like Kris Jenner who focuses solely on apperance and selling your body and soul for fame and fortune. Nothing matters in their life except how they look. Not to mention having a father who clearly can’t be bothered to parent . To top it off she has sisters who have had to been sucked , tucked and f*cked to make it in life. Does it seem harsh – sure. But it’s their reality. When you are raised by a pack of Wolves you are bound to follow suit. Has the public helped with this to some extent – sure? But it always starts at home.

      • Nicolette says:

She never acts like a mother. She’s their manager who constantly is looking for ways to make them money so she gets her cut. They’ve never had proper guidance from either parent. How many years will it be before we see North doing all the same things? If anything it’ll probably be worse because she is growing up in a circus-like atmosphere.

    • Moec23 says:

If she had a half way decent mother or role model they would have sat her down and told her she was beautiful and screw those idiots!

      • Loopy says:

Well it doesn’t really matter what type of mother earth you have sometimes hearing your ugly enough times will do it.

      • Amy says:

I disagree. Whatever comments Kylie hears from the general public are likely nothing compared to what Kris says to her in private.

Who do you think is paying for Kylie’s procedures? Sure she’s making money now but she didn’t get all this attention and products to sell until after her face had been significantly altered.

Who’s letting her underage daughter have sex with a man 8 years older than her? Not the general public.

This is all on Kris and that grotesque family. They put themselves out there strictly using their looks and then have to manipulate themselves like someone molding play-doh.

    • Wren33 says:

I agree. When you are a tween or teen, it doesn’t matter even if you do have a mother who says you are beautiful. But I do blame her mother for putting her in the public eye so young.

  14. Ana says:

OMG they are multiplicating! Eek. They look like over-filled twins.

I find that whole ‘challenge’ very sad. It makes me weep for the future.

I wish this had been a trend while I was growing up. I actually got nothing but teasing and bullying for having thick lips.

  15. Tig says:

Don’t tell me that Nip+Fab has hired her to be a spokesperson of some sort! I actually like some of their skin care products. I don’t care how mature/old she professes to be-she’s still 17. To my way of thinking, she and that poor Teen Mom porn queen are two sides of the same coin- ruthless exploitation of girls too young to know any better.

  16. Size Does Matter says:

“People think we are cousins.” Yes, shocking how much you can look like someone when you use the same makeup, contact lenses, fillers, and hair dye.

    • Shambles says:

On point. It’s kind of scary. Like they’re forming an army of clones.

      • Nicolette says:

Oh God, don’t give any ideas to PMK.

      • Size Does Matter says:

YES! Like a bunch of Bratz-like Stepford children. And if this asinine shot glass lip plumping trick isn’t enough evidence that YOU CANNOT GET THOSE LIPS WITH MAKEUP, TUTORIALS, AND DIAGRAMS, then I don’t know what is.

      • lisa says:

children of the damned didnt end well

  17. Shambles says:

Maybe it’s just me, but this would be the moment when I would choose to say, “yes, I’ve been having my lips professionally tweaked.” If my lies were causing people to injure themselves, I would feel so bad that I would have to say something. And then for her to tell these kids to “be themselves?” So rich. The only case that would be acceptable would be if she admitted to the injections, and said, “it’s my choice, so be yourself and do what you want.”
….. But then I remember that she’s f@cking 17, so none of this is really acceptable at all.
    *Red Foreman voice*
    People are dumbassses.

  18. Lora says:

Woow, the shade blacc is throwing at her

    • snarky mcsnark says:

Yeeeessss honey! I just gain 1000 percent more respect for Black Chyna!!!

      • FingerBinger says:

You respect an adult with a child shading a teenager?

      • Amy says:

        @fingerbinger

Someone has to call out this nonsense, let’s not act like Kylie is poor Anna Mae from the block, she’s using the same manipulation for money like her sisters.

      • snarky mcsnark says:

@fingerbinger – sure do! I have respect for anyone who calls out this family of vapid idiots. And if Kylie was just an “innocent teenager” she wouldn’t be dating a 25 year old and dressing like a total hoebag every chance she gets. She wants to act like she’s an adult, she needs to take the lumps that come with it.

      • FingerBinger says:

@Amy She’s mocking the girl her ex is with. It makes her look stupid.

      • Dawn says:

Me too and I’ll tell you why. When people get down on Kylie for dating a 26 year old with a toddler her fans cry out that it is not like she is a little kid but when people like Blac Chyna call her out for her phoniness and trying to act all grown up with the lips and butt injections, it is than poor child Kylie. She doesn’t get to have it both ways. If she is old enough to bed a 26 year old man who has a kid she is old enough to take ALL shade that comes her way.

  19. paola says:

Blac Chyna shading kylie jenner? Girl you need a mirror.
    they’re both equally ridicolous.

  20. escondista says:

She wants people to “be themselves” and then shills her makeup and hair extension line so girls can look just like her?
She’s a mean girl and proud of that. Guarantee she’s thrilled girls are hurting themselves to look like her. It inflates her ego even more.

  21. Jessica says:

Not sure what this has to do with Jenner. She’s never claimed and it’s never been insinuated that she does this to get her fuller lips? It would be one thing if these idiots were copying her actions or thought they were copying her actions, but they’re not, someone else just made up a stupid challenge and used Jenner’s name so it would become a thing. When Kim dyed her hair blonde, if a bunch of morons had burnt their scalps with bleach and instagrammed it would that be her fault?

    • Lola says:

But, has she said she got her lips via injections? Has she said they are (still) natural? Granted she does not have to tell the public anything, but that’s the thing, even if she has never said that she does this to her lips, her lips from before and now are different, you can’t deny it. Teens will emulate and she wants to be in the spotlight with her family. Do you think she is being marketed for 25 year old men? Or teens? Or both?

    • Amy says:

Actually she did say she used CandyLipz (or however it’s spelled) which is one of the things teens are using and hurting themselves.

      • Lola says:

@Amy: Thanks for the reply. I had no clue, don’t keep up with the K / J. Well, then imo, PR should take over because if they are using something she promoted and are hurting themselves, for me, this is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

      • TeaAndSympathy says:

Also, I think that, since it appears that the girls (and boys, according to reports) emulating her are around her age, perhaps they don’t have the funds (or are reluctant to spend the money) to buy that CandyLipz gadget? A shot glass or similar is readily available and does pretty much the same thing. There’d also be very few in her age bracket who’d have the money to have their lips professionally enhanced/injected/filled, even if they had access to some unscrupulous operator.

    • Susan says:

If somehow my name was looped onto something distasteful, dangerous, etc I would be the first out there shouting NO! Kyle having a loud voice discouraging this and publically stating her disapproval would be volume.

  22. Nicolette says:

Does anyone think for themselves anymore?

  23. Adrien says:

I actually have sympathy for Kylie because for years she was deemed the least attractive of the Klan. She’s always trying to prove something like trying hard to be sexy. Only girls with low self esteem would go out with Tyga.

  24. Sea Dragon says:

Her pimp (pmk, of course) must be ecstatic about Kylie finding a real niche in the family.

  25. LAK says:

Has she acquired her own a** of lies?

    • claire says:

Yep! Go check out her Instagram! She got the Kim Butt Special. She threw in a workout pic of herself in full hair, jewelry and makeup just so she can, you know, claim it came from exercise. LOL.

  26. Lucy says:

I just…this is SO messed up.

  27. Lola says:

Sadly, she looks like a mannequin. And, those twitter messages are not necessarily going to shelter her from a lawsuit.

  28. Mylene - Montreal says:

They don’t want to look like her .. This challenge is all about laughing about her .. It’s bad !

    • wow says:

That would be even more crazy though. These idiots are harming themselves (according to the article) just to make fun of a girl who’s more than likely plumping her lips on the way to the bank.

      • Josefa says:

Yeah, this. Actually harming yourself to make fun of someone who doesn’t even know you exist is even more stupid than trying to imitate her.

  29. word says:

I think the majority of kids who are doing that stupid challenge are mocking Kylie. They don’t want to be like her…they are making fun of her. There are guys doing it too, not just girls. It’s ridiculous.

  30. kri says:

I can honestly I was never that stupid at that age. I was excited for my future, I read books, I hung with my girls and boys. Thank god we didn’t have anything like these Kardashters. My 17 yr. old niece won’t even discuss them. She rolls her eyes and simply says “The Inflatables bore me”. Me too.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Haha, the inflatables. Good for her! I was a twit but I meant well and I didn’t spend my life in front of the mirror. I just thought world peace could be achieved if adults would just hug each other and stuff like that. Lol

  31. Amy says:

The sad thing for Kylie is she’s going to look so bad in just four years. Kim at least waited till she was done with some puberty and natural growth before she became Kat-face McGee.

    But Kylie…it’s gonna be bad.

  32. Susan says:

Why bother making this statement. It was confusing and no way discouraged the lip sucking trick. Kyle actually encorages fans to be like her and do your own thing. How about saying this is a stupid, dangerous act – leave my name out of it because it’s not right and not how I have achieve my look. Where is ‘monager’ guiding her in PR statements?

  33. Dr.Funkenstein says:

I don’t get it. I don’t think this girl is pretty, for a start. If you need fifty cosmetic techs and two and a half hours to create an illusion of what you look like at the tender age of 17, there is a problem somewhere. If you ask me, her head looks too small for her body, and no amount of magic is going to change that. The obvious alterations? Geez, I’m just speechless.

  34. SnarkGirl says:

“Be yourself” says the girl with the fake face, and sadly without a trace of irony.

This lip challenge thing is insane, and what’s worse is the number of people not seeing it as a silly joke, but as a valid way to ‘enhance’ their looks. If you look on YouTube there is a disturbing amount of young girls who are posting ‘how to’ videos – AND – there is actually a contraption you can buy to do this bizarre self-torture lip pumping!

While I know some other vapid creature would take over as the ‘it’ girl of the moment to emulate, I really wish this chick, and the whole Kartrashian clan would just get sucked into a black hole and disappear forever.

  35. Vava says:

This lip thing is unattractive, but doesn’t hold a candle to the butt implants that these people seem to love. Honestly, that just blows my mind.

    • wow says:

Yes! Butt implants are ridiculous! I wouldnt even want a huge butt like that if it was God given. I’ll never understand that. In fact I use to think it was an urban myth. Unfortunately, not.

what i find the most disturbing is that she’s working a 40-yr-old (ok 30s or however old Kim is) look when it seems she’s not old enough to vote yet. she looks like a “second wife” to an aging millionaire or something. it’s gross. just seems like a waste

    • Question everything says:

“second wife” to an aging millionaire — talking about a Kardashian girl’s aspirations 😀

I am glad for your comment and I hope the Kardashians will be exposed for who they are! Nobody should be encouraged to or aspire to be like them or to aim for careers like theirs.

  37. meh says:

She looks like a living Bratz doll. I remember thinking they were terrifying when I was a kid, but I guess it’s a desirable look now.

  38. yep says:

This makes me sad. We have got a celebrity child, lying about how she got her lips. and impressionable young ladies want that look, but on the lies Kylie dumps.
Shes saying she plumps them by a suction toy(Tyga?) .
She doesnt. She gets injections. If she would only say that, then these girls wouldnt think it was so easy.
And young girls will do anything to look good or be part of a trend. Especially if its being touted as accessible. Thats what teens do.

    • Question everything says:

I wonder if celebrities should be hold accountable for lying about their plastic surgery proceduces. I mean in this case Kylie’s statements about her lips which are most likely false / fake lead teens to do horrible things to themselves. Isn’t it a crime to lead people to do bad things to themselves under false pretenses and without informing them about the risks?

  39. wow says:

I’m glad my lips are naturally plump because anyone who is dumb enough to do that girl’s lip challenge is an idiot. Well the adults who know better are idiots, not the impressionable kids.

Im sure the thin lipped ladies out there could do a tutorial on how to achieve fuller looking lips with makeup.

Her “challenge” at the very least doesn’t even support a cause in the way that ice bucket challenge did.

  40. G says:

Maybe they can bring curly hair back to trend. You know, by putting scissors in an outlet.

  41. nicegirl says:

As a parent of a teen, this trend is truly disturbing.

  42. serena says:

Be yourself. LOL this coming from a teenager plumping and injecting her lips because she doesn’t like herself.

    • Question everything says:

      You nailed it!
Yep, and that is precisely the problem.
I think most people would believe that Kylie Jenner injected her lips with something. So she is sending out this message to teens that bee-stung lips are THE THING to have. And teens being teens imitate her. I bet many teen wouldn’t imitate her if Kylie had simply admitted that her lips weren’t natural. I do partly blame Kylie for setting such beauty standards without admitting that her aesthetics are those of plastic surgery.

  43. Tate says:

This idiotic family is never going away. They just suck.

    • me says:

This family is society’s punishment for all the wrongs we have done.

      We. Must. Suffer.

  44. Question everything says:

I don’t buy that Kylie’s lips are natural. And I think many teens believe that, too, and so they try to get “non-natural” lips, too.

It really should be a crime to lie about your plastic surgery procedures because these lies can lead people to do things to themselves in order to imitate celebrities. And the point is that these people wouldn’t have done these things if they had known their idealised celebrity had had plain plastic surgery.

I can understand that people don’t want to admit they have had something done. But these lies are harmful. So it should be either: admit it or refuse to comment.

  45. Pegasus says:

I would be so utterly depressed if i lived this girl’s life. Spending 3 hrs/day transforming myself into something unhuman via sucking on diesel exhaust pipes and spackling on makeup, just to go on a ho stroll to lunch. And never looking beyond the Kartoonbutt altar for anything more fulfilling, like, I dunno… using one’s brain?

  46. Stacey says:

She looks like a clown prostitute.

Way to young to be looking so haggard. Jenner type girls will realize they should have enjoyed their youth and youthful body for what it was. Sad!

    I always joke..don’t grow up! It’s a trap 😉

  47. TessD says:

I don’t think it’s funny or cute at all! A bunch of girls making fun of another girl (rich or dumb, doesn’t matter) is called bullying! Women should stick up for one another. These girls’ excuse is probably they are too young but the rest of them are plain bullies.

  48. Justagirl says:

Also, cleavage CONTOURING! The 2nd pic of Kylie in the low-cut black top – that’s fake-contour cleavage, the contouring on her right breast is an obviously smudged line, contrast with the nicely shaded arc of makeup cleavage on her left breast. Whether she’s had a boob job or not, she feels a need to add faux cleavage with makeup. Which is especially sad at her age.

  49. My Two Cents says:

Not surprised the youngest one is taking the plastic look to the extremes. She has a Mother who is busy pimping them all out and a Dad who is now transitioning to become a woman so he can look like all the plastic females he is surrounded by. Good gosh what a joke of a family. Can’t see any of them being in touch with God or spirituality or anything that really matters.
