Prince Harry was in Australia when his sister-in-law Duchess Kate gave birth. That’s just the way it goes sometimes, and Harry made his plans knowing full well that he would miss the birth. I don’t think he really cared, but he did release a statement from Australia about his new little niece (name still unknown):

Us Weekly says that Harry was waiting up in Australia to hear news of the baby, with a source saying: “Harry was worried he would be asleep when the news broke, so he was really happy that he was up to take the call from William.”
As for how Harry is occupying his time in Australia… well, he’s doing his military stuff, but there’s a rumor going around that he might have some free time for romance. The Daily Mail claims that Harry is still talking to Chelsy Davy, that Davy recently broke up with her boyfriend Charles Goode, and that Chelsy is thinking about visiting Harry in Australia. A source says, “Yet again there is talk that they seem to be rekindling something.” Oh, just get married and be done with it!
As for the lack of baby name still, more than 48 hours after Kate gave birth… I don’t know what to tell you. The royal reporters were hoping we would get a name today, but Richard Palmer says that Will & Kate still haven’t exactly decided on a name, and they want to inform the Queen before everyone else. So… hopefully later today.
I’m also including some photos of the Queen on Saturday, shortly after she heard she now has a new great-granddaughter. She wore hot pink for the occasion!

A Harry/Chelsy reboot? I’m already exhausted.
Can anyone give me more info to Chelsea Harry romance? I keep reading on this site how they’re meant to be etc. I would love to know more about them as a couple, why they were great to together, why they’re not together, why they should be together …
They met or started dating when Chelsy was about 18, 19. She loved Harry, Harry loved her, but Harry at times sowed his oats and Chelsy ended it, then they reconciled , but the constant press was too much, Chelsy wanted out, then they reconciled again , but the press used Kate as Good Girlfriend Princess Material and Chelsy as Bad PartyGirl Unsuitable,Family comnected to a dictator Bad choice for Bride Material. Chelsy hung in there , she loved Harry, Harry loved Chelsy ,he would sometimes in press defend her and say she’s not how the press write about her. They eventually fizzled out, broke up again. Chelsy began dating others, hanging out with friends also in the circle who were her friends for ages( Cressida’s brother who is one of Chelsys best friends still to this day. Chelsy and Cressida’s brother go on holidays together as pals.) Chelsy then had press rumours of being engaged to a wealthy British jeweller, which she was dating, but no engagement ever happened according to her friends, they were seriously dating but not engaged. Harry began dating others,as we know those romances fizzled. Now because he’s visiting SA in a few weeks or days the Press seems to be trying to stir up a story that they may hookup or whatever.
…but IMO that ship has sailed if they wanted to be together by now there was no big obstacles stopping them, Chelsy has been living in the UK for years. She recently quit her law firm job and spends time going to social gatherings of the Aristo set and has done a few charities. Also She loves traveling and going back home to SA for long periods now.

Chelsy would just run off again. I Love her as a person, but she obviously doesn’t want Harry or the life that comes with. They’ve had years to be together, if they wanted to with No obstacles yet they haven’t. I believe she’d just run off again when she couldn’t handle it.

But Harry doesn’t even have to abdicate to live a more normal life. He can just get his own place, continue working, and set clear boundaries with the RF about his obligation to them. That might be easier said than done but it’s not impossible. He isn’t even on call as the spare any more.

If he wants Chelsy, why not? Lizzie’s uncle abdicated for a woman. All Harry has to do is live like a minor royal, a York or whatnot.

They dated for quite some time. Chelsy was fun loving, intelligent, independent and was acknowledged to be Harry’s first love. They broke up and got back together several times. The reasons vary according to who/what you want to believe but ultimately Chelsy saw no need to put up with the stress of dating a royal. She had her own money and a career – nothing to gain by being in the spotlight. But they always remained friends and run around in the same circles so the reunion stories won’t go away.
What amuses me are the Chelsy and Harry are perfect for one another stories. During their relationship she was constantly slammed for being unkempt, inappropriate and ‘rough’. She always had a drink and a ciggy in hand and many thought Harry could do better. Time has turned her into the one that got away.

The Chelsy , Harry should get back together fans don’t see the reality of how their relationship was constantly on shaky ground despite the love they felt. They always broke up over and over again and there has been no obstacles since the last break years ago. If they wanted to be together they could have done so, they’ve been split for years.

Why do we want this more than they apparently do? Besides I can’t imagine giving up a career as a lawyer, jet setting with friends and lying on beaches just to cut ribbons and wear little frocks.
I still think Harry can do better. As much as some think Davy is ideal for Harry I’m standing firm it’s the thought of them that is greater. They were young, wealthy, and cute. Having fun in their youth. To be together now seems unlikely. They’re close, but not in love close by many accounts.
And Chelsy could still lose a lot. Simply by being the spare’s wife it will be an albatross she will be forced to carry. And Harry is too duty driven to abdicate. He has his passion and knows staying royal helps him help others.

I thought that was sweet of The Queen to do. I would have painted her as someone who wouldn’t do that kind of stuff. Well Tower Bridge was pink too in celebration. I guess it was big deal since she’s the first princess in decades.

I am confused – she is the first princess in a while, but what about Eugenie & Beatrice? Is it the first princess in direct line of the throne for a while? The first time a girl will have been so high up the line of succession in decades? That I understand.

Bea and Eug are princesses royal but were granted their titles.
BE are princesses, just like this one for the mere fact that they are grandchildren of the monarch in the male line. They’ve been princesses with the style of HRH from the minute they were born.
The quote from the guardian is referring to a princess being born 2nd in line to throne, a position once occupied by Anne until the birth of Andrew and Edward pushed her to 4th in line.
BE were born 5th and 6th in the line of succession.

The queen’s expression is always the same, it seems. Whether she smells rotten eggs, is delighted, or is having a sad day. Maybe she’s monosyllabic and only acts through her outfits.

I always thought Harry would end up with Chelsy. He never got over her but she didn’t want all the royal BS. But with the new baby and Harry possibly living abroad most of the time, she might be more open to marriage now.
They reportedly got over eachother and were able to remain platonic friends. That you never hear about them meeting up or rumors of hookups/lingering feelings says a lot. Since if there was ANY evidence of them not having gotten over eachotherit would have been uncovered.

It’s the press and a possible wedding (and the accompanying money that goes along with it) that the PRESS struggle to get over. And the juicy made-up drama between two women.
Chelsy stated the Royal life wasn’t for her and I do believe she meant it. Harry is, and always will be, a Royal in the spotlight. They might hook-up (apparently they were VERY passionate and Harry left some FB statuses that left little to the imagination) but marriage ain’t on the cards. They were passionate but had the break-ups that go along with an intense physical relationship. And the relationship just ran its course.

Nice to see the extended family visiting at Kensington Palace but seeing Camilla arrive is distasteful. Kensington Palace was Diana’s home and sanctuary. I know we can’t all live in the past but considering the long term pain Diana experienced regarding Camilla and considering how Diana died, it still seems wrong for Camilla to be there.
Diana decided on her own to get rid of her security detail and didn’t fasten her seat belt.
