The crow remake still makes my blood boil. I then go cry over my vhs copy while watching my DVD. I have a tee shirt too. F u Hollywood.

    • Kitten says:

As stupid and pointless as I think remakes are, I usually don’t bat an eyelash at this point since Hollywood is hell-bent on remaking every damn thing.

But The Crow? Just NO. That movie was a favorite of mine as a kid (amazing soundtrack as well) and all the sadness involved in Brandon Lee’s passing, etc makes it scared and untouchable.

It makes me angry that they’re insisting on remaking it.

      • InvaderTak says:

Oh yes, I have the soundtrack on my music player to this day! 5$ deal on Amazon once lol. Graeme revell FTW.

      • Izzy says:

And remaking Poltergeist! WTH?! Why?!?! The original is still scary as crap.

      • Kitten says:

Ugh. *SACRED not scared. lol. I still have the movie on VHS at my parent’s house, InvaderTak..somewhere..

@Izzy-Right? It still terrifies and likely, the updated version will be trash. Sigh. HW will never learn…

  2. aims says:

Yeah Melissa! !! Preach it sister!

  3. blue marie says:

Gah, I love Melissa McCarthy, I just wish she’d make better movies

    • Kitten says:

I’m watching the Gilmore Girls on Netflix for the first time and she’s really great in it.

      • Jessica says:

I love Melissa as Sookie on Gilmore Girls, but unfortunately I just don’t find her appealing in anything else.

      • blue marie says:

I love Gilmore Girls! The later seasons are not as good as the first few. That was the only show that I saw McCarthy on and was a wee bit shocked when I found out she was a comedian.

      • ab says:

one of my favorite tv shows! just finished watching it all on netflix a couple weeks ago. I watched it through season 4 when it originally aired, but had missed the last half of its run so it was nice to do it all in one go (although it turned out the seasons I missed were the boring ones). melissa was great as sookie, but I haven’t really been a fan of anything she has done since then.

      • Miss M says:

I loved Gilmore girls! I lived in CT and joked how well they depicted the wealth people over there.

      • Kitten says:

Yes. I also enjoy all the cute boys on the show.

        Signed,

        A Total Perv

      • Miss M says:

I loved Dean (who is in supernatural) and loved Logan!

  4. Jessica says:

    Captain America is so hot.

    • embertine says:

I hate myself a little for falling for the whole “pretty douchebag” thing AGAIN, but Steve Rogers’ sex hair gives me life.

  5. ashley says:

So happy paula got the courage to divorce Robin “douche” Thicke.

  6. Miss M says:

Am I the only one noticing the captain has lost some weight?

    • NUTBALLS says:

I did. His butt doesn’t look as chunky.

    • PhenomenalWoman says:

It might be the costume. It’s not spandex like the first ones.

      • Mindless Contemplations says:

I think they do CGI on his face/body. If you watched Winter Solider and then reviewed the out-takes you can see a distinct difference in how thin his face is.

  7. InvaderTak says:

I guess I’m the only one who doesn’t like it when anyone, regardless of gender, goes after someone’s parenting? His daughter is none of Melissa’s business and she could have shut him down without even bringing it up. And it’s pointless anyway because as if he’s going to change his life a philosophy because she called him out. Keep it between you and whomever you’re telling off.

Also: there is valid crictism to be had about the way her characters are physically portrayed. Shes made an entire movie off of the fat mess slob stereotype which is doesn’t help larger women be seen as anything other than a sight gag.

    • Jessica says:

That’s why I don’t like her in anything other than Gilmore Girls. She always plays the fat funny woman. The fact that she’s fat is always the joke. She’s like the female Kevin James.

    • KellyBee says:

I agree with you on both accounts.

    • Tiffany :) says:

By bringing up his daughter, I think she was trying to get him to see females as human beings.

    • PennyLane says:

Her comments were legit. Recently there was a (depressing) study showing that judges with daughters made consistently more women-friendly rulings than judges who had either sons or no children. It’s sad, but the only way a lot of people, even so-called educated people, can understand structural sexism is if they see it happening to their own child.

  8. Norman Bates' Mother says:

That Pajiba link is so true. I go to the movies alone most of the time and I don’t understand why some people make a big deal out of it. It’s not like the cinema is a big social environment. You’re not supposed to talk, laugh or communicate while watching anyway, but they act like going alone is something pitiful.

    • finished says:

Going to the movies alone is, IMHO, deliciously decadent. I completely agree that watching a movie isn’t a social activity.

    • Kitten says:

The first movie I saw by myself was (fittingly) Shame and I had the great luck to be seated between an elderly couple. It was…uncomfortable.

But since then I’ve gone several times by myself and I love it.
Fun tip: hot-box your car before you go into the theater. Yay.

      • NUTBALLS says:

After watching SHAME in the privacy of my home this afternoon, I can only imagine how weird that must have been, Kitten.

I too prefer to watch movies alone when I can watch them during the day in a near empty theater, but at night when the crowd is bigger, I like to have a buddy.

      • blue marie says:

I know you probably won’t see this Kitten, but I second the hotboxing. I did it and saw The Conjuring, totally worth it.

    • Miss M says:

I completely agree with you! I go to the movies alone all the time. I started doing it when i was a teenager and had some friends canceling on me last minute. I promised myself i would not stop watching what i wanted because i didnt have company. I am my best company! And, like you said, we cannot talk…

      • Norman Bates' Mother says:

Exactly. Going to the movies should be all about the pleasure of being able to relax and watch something we want to watch. From my experience – that pleasure ends whenever I try to organize a group of people or even one of my friends to watch something that isn’t a big hit everyone dies to see, because there usually are scheduling issues/cancelling or arguments about minor things like parking or trying to shame each other into watching something the other person doesn’t want to watch, then arguing if what we saw was good or bad. Why bother? Watching alone is nothing but a pleasure, assuming a movie isn’t some terrible waste of money. I started doing it when my high school friends peer pressured me into watching some poor excuse of a movie instead of the one that I wanted and I only had money for one ticket.

    • Maria A. says:

Yeah, I’m looking forward to seeing Crimson Peak ALONE because my Mom’s too chicken to go with me.
      Ah well.

    • Ange says:

oh my LORD yes, I love going to the movies alone. I just went and watched Mad Max by myself last weekend and it was amazeballs. I’ve been doing it since I was around uni age and always enjoyed it. As I got older I started doing a lot of traveling for work and had to do dinners etc by myself and enjoyed that too. I’m a classic extrovert so maybe that helped, just being out and around people was always good fun.

These days my favourite thing ever is going to a coffee shop for breakfast by myself and just reading the sh*t out of some internet, so peaceful.

  9. LAK says:

How many films are planned in this franchise universe?

    • The Original Mia says:

      Cap 3: Civil War
      Avengers 3/4: Infinity War
And…that’s just the team films. That doesn’t count the individual films that each Avenger may pop up in. We’re only in phase 2 of so far 3 phase movie franchise.

      • NUTBALLS says:

Don’t forget Thor: Radanok (3 of 3) will be out in 2017 before the first of the two part Avengers finales releases in 2018 too. Not sure if Dr Strange (2016) will also factor into the Avengers storyline as well. There is a Loki/Dr Strange storyline that could be written in.

  10. amberj says:

    So OVAH Chris Evans. Bye.

  11. Kali says:

Um, can we get some Frank Grillo up in here? I know many of us are fans of the Human Dorito but good lord, I’ve seen some of the shots of Crossbones with and without the mask and good lord, my Frank Grillo problem is back with a vengeance *rugged boys for the win* 😀

  12. Saks says:

The Craft remake?!! Nooooo! I bind you Hollywood!

  13. Smurphy says:

oooh yes cap’n sexy. There’s a pic of him with a mesh panel on his abs…yum!

  14. ToodySezHey says:
