Emma Stone & Andrew Garfield are reportedly back together after a ‘break’

I only recently became aware of the fact that there are Emma Stone-and-Andrew Garfield superfans, and those superfans are super-Twihardy about Emma and Andrew being together forever and ever. I’m not even joking about the Twihard thing – there was a concerted effort by Emma & Andrew’s superfans to “push back” against the widespread reports that they had split, to the point of Twitter harassment and a misinformation campaign to discredit all of the breakup rumors. The breakup rumors started at Star Magazine, yes, but within a week, all of the major outlets (People, E! News and Us Weekly) were running stories about the Stone-Garfield demise. The stories were pretty easy to write too: Andrew and Emma had been apart for months, he didn’t come to the Oscars with her, and “sources close to Emma” were saying some bad stuff about Andrew’s behavior.

So what now? Andrew is back in the States after completing filming on Silence in Taiwan. Emma is doing some promotional work for Aloha and Irrational Man, but she’s been back in LA this week too. And for a few days, there have been multiple reports that Emma and Andrew have been seen out and about together… but they haven’t been photographed together. Still, E! News says they’re back on:

Everyone can rest easy, because it seems like everything on the Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield front are back on track. Fans of the Hollywood couple began filling up with hope after the duo, who were reportedly on the outs, were seen together again on multiple occasions. And although it was known that these two were spending some time apart, E! News learns that they never officially broke up.

“It was always a ‘break’ due to schedules,” a source tells E! News. “They have been really busy, so they finally have had time to see each other again. They care for each other and always have the best time when together.”

Stone and Garfield have been finding more time to be with each other as of late, with their most recent outing happening just last night. The two lovebirds stepped out to Sushi Park in West Hollywood on Wednesday for some dinner and weren’t shy about showing off some PDA.

According to an eyewitness, the pair “definitely looked like they were back together.”

Emma and Andrew were dressed super casual and sat at the sushi bar for their meal. Garfield wrapped his arm around his lady at one point, according to the insider, and spotted fellow celeb pal Amy Poehler at the restaurant before leaving. The famous trio stopped and chatted for a few minutes before leaving the venue.

[From E! News]

So the Stone-Garfield Twihards can rest easy tonight. I’m still not entirely convinced that these multiple “sightings” of Stone and Garfield haven’t simply come from an unhinged Stone-Garfield Twihard though – it’s not that difficult to email a “tip” to E! News about having just seen your two favorite people holding hands OMG, you know? That kind of thing happened all the time with the original Twihard couple, K-Stew and Sparkles. So… we’ll see. My guess is that they did take a break for a few months and now they’re working things out.

Or, “Emma Stone And Andrew Garfield Are Back Together After The Tabloids Got It Wrong.”

apparently Lainey is one of those Garfstone hards, since she’s been vocal about the break up being a tabloid story. Now that they allegedly been spotted together she’s taking the credits for being skeptical. I hate how Lainey is so obsessed with some celebs that she forgets being a gossip columnist and lacks objectivity. When reporting about JLo, Goop, the Johnson-Taylor’s, and some others, don’t expect Lainey to be a proper gossip reporter: she would report what her fantasies are.

Spot on remarks. No lies detected

    • JENNA says:

That’s one of the reasons I don’t read her blog anymore, on top of being a PR shill of course.

    • Telly says:

Lainey is not always objective when it comes to her favs but she was spot on about this story. She analyzes tabloid stories and runs them across her own sources before she believes it. I see nothing wrong with that because it gets annoying to me that it can be one dumb story from Star Magazine and everyone will believe it without any discernment. Look how the Brad is bi and uses rentboy.com story took off.

Pretty much every gossip blogger/columnist has a bias and plays favorites. People just read the ones they agree with.

    • Artemis says:

She never claimed to be objective and tbh, few gossip bloggers are.

Her appeal is that she’s quite polarizing because of her subjectivity. We also read about her own marriage, family and friend relationships for instance which other blogs rarely do or not in such a candid way anyway. Most just copy from other websites. And don’t forget she’s capitalizing on her brand by writing and shilling her book! Lainey is a brand.

What I can’t stand is when she picks and chooses who she calls out based on her wishy washy personal values such as feminism and domestic abuse. She goes back and forth on that one and it’s disgusting. That’s why I peaced out a while ago. She’s becoming more and more annoying and I think it’s because of her status. She should be analysing herself at this point.

      • Jegede says:

        @Artemis
She may have never claimed to be objective, but she certainly is NOT a blogger who “tells it like it is” – as is sometime claimed.

She’s as biased/selective as they come.

It is the usual pattern, – get together after an initial break up and then break up again for good. The initial break up is very hard and people tend to get back together and then gain acceptance that breaking up was the right thing and then break up again.

  8. OhDear says:

I still think the whole break up/make up story was PR on their ends.

  9. Catelina says:

Good for them if they’re happy. I’m not a particular fan of either of them, but they both seem nice enough. Glad he can finally shave now. Maybe that’s why she took him back

  10. Rockin Robin says:

I love them together. I just want them to get married and have adorable, cartoonish looking babies!
