Kate Moss has always walked a fine line between high fashion and hot mess. It’s been years since we had a good bit of Kate dirt to rub around. She used to be one of my obsessions. Her cocaine scandal was huge news, but she faced no legal consequence, and her career only faltered for a moment. Kate did the rehab thing, which was largely for appearances. I’m certain that Kate’s party lifestyle never slowed down again. She simply knows how to be more discreet. The exception being when she gets wasted and storms out of events. There was also the “three beers for breakfast” story a few years ago. Her antics continue, we just hear about them less often.
Kate’s shenanigans were very public yesterday. She was travelling home from holiday (in Turkey) and kept the party going until officers escorted her from the plane:
A supermodel known for pushing the limits may have gone a bit too far on her discount flight from Turkey on Sunday.
Kate Moss, 41, was led off an easyJet plane by police at London Luton Airport after reportedly behaving obnoxiously on her trip home to her native England, Bedfordshire Police told BBC News.
Moss wasn’t arrested or charged after police whisked her from the jet at around 4:15 p.m., cops in the town roughly 30 miles north of London told The Guardian.
“The passenger had been reported as being disruptive on the flight,” Bedfordshire Police said in a statement. “Officers attended and escorted the passenger from the plane.”
The airline confirmed a passenger’s conduct had prompted its staff aboard Flight EZY2232 from the seaside region of Bodrum on Turkey’s southwest coast to contact law enforcement, BBC reported.
EasyJet “does not tolerate disruptive behaviour and will always report any incidents to the authorities,” officials at the airline told BBC.
Officials at easyJet, a Luton-based low-fare airline whose latest annual report says it maintains a cost advantage in part by carrying a higher number of seats in its aircrafts, declined to provide any more details about what caused Moss to be ejected from the plane.

I’m not surprised to hear that Kate got rowdy on an airplane. What does seem bizarre is that she flew on the no-frills easyJet airline. Perhaps the liquor is cheaper on these planes? The airline doesn’t have first class (though business class may have sufficed). If Kate flew coach, the behavior she usually hides behind closed doors would have been spotted by civilians.
One other thing about this story makes me wonder — where was Jamie Hince? They’ve been married since 2011, and I hope they’re not having problems.

Exactly – EasyJet and Luton are code-words for my travel nightmares, not something I’d associate with multimillionaires. Don’t know why but I just imagined Mariah Carey squashed in the middle seat of a commercial plane, sipping cheap wine from a plastic cup. Not gonna happen but nice imaginary.

Easyjet, and other short haul carriers like Ryanair, is the best as far as popping across to Europe for a day or weekend. Many people use it irrespective of their wealth. It’s cheap as chips and no frills. Does what it says on the tin.
Well true but then you’re also crammed like sardines in with like 100 strangers which seems like an odd choice for someone as famous as her. Also seriously how drunk do you have to be to get kicked off ryanair/ easyjet who pretty much deal with like hen parties/ stag dos 24/7??
Some people are as rich as they are because they dont spend money on things they dont need aka first class flights when easyJet exists. Not saying that Mossy spends her money on important things, but she may have the same mantra.
That’s what I think too. She would have much less money if she travelled 1st class everywhere with the amount of flying she does. London-Rio I could understand but flying around Europe 1st class when the flight lasts 2 hours or less makes no sense.
A lot of celebs have charter jet deals (like NetJets) where you get X amount of miles per year. “Fractional Charter Jet Ownership” is how they describe it. It is cheaper than owning your own plane and usually a better deal than hiring a new charter every time you want to go somewhere. She travels so much, I would think she’d be a member.

I do hear some alarm bells ringing. Lets be real, if you flip out when denied alcohol on a flight and then try to drink from your own bottle, you are clearly a bit too anxious to get the alcohol in your body.
Plus I saw a new interview on Showstudio with Kate the other week, and she acted like she was drunk there too. She was fidgety, absent minded and not entirely cohesive, plus she was sipping from a wine glass (it was filmed in black and white so could be water I guess). And Kate has a long history of substance abuse, she went to rehab after she and Depp broke up too. But she has never addressed the exact reason why she went. So yes, she should probably stay away from the stuff.
you not allowed to drink your own alcohol on the plane, the last time I heard duty free is locked up till you land. Something, must have gone amiss if she managed to hide it in her bag and not turn it over. mmmm Mind you it’s Easy jet…

I’ve flown Easyjet many times in Europe and I don’t remember there being a business class. It’s WAY better than Ryan Air (recently a story of a student who legally changed his name instead of paying a RyanAir booking fee error was making the rounds which was hilarious because it was cheaper for the guy to change his name than to pay the booking error fee) and you can pay extra for “speedy boarding” to get a seat (there isn’t assigned seating). No frills airlines usually don’t have a business class.

Ouch. You hit a sensitive spot there, Poppy. As someone who isn’t a granny, but who is technically granny age, I see nothing wrong with older women occasionally partying like it’s 1999. However, Kate needs to keep it behind closed doors with her girlfriends/fellow party animals. Public displays of drunkenness at her age are just excruciatingly embarrassing. Her daughter must be suffering quite a lot at school with her mother’s antics hitting the headlines. I feel sorry for Lily.
