A new story in this week’s Star says Jennifer Lawrence got into a screaming match with Nicholas Hoult at Comic-Con. The good Comic-Con gossip always filters out a few weeks later, right? I tend to believe this story even though Star illustrated with a photo of JLaw flipping the bird (at a party) to a guy who looks more like Josh Hutcherson. This was a misplaced illustration and a misleading one too. (As is the photo above.) The fight in question is said to have taken place at a sushi restaurant. Nick was reportedly putting the moves on JLaw because Chris Martin wasn’t around, and so the exes went out to dinner together. Then they got into a righteously loud argument after Nick brought up a sensitive subject. I like to think Nick asked why JLaw was dating the king of elevator music, but the fight probably stemmed from their storied history as an on-off couple:
On July 11, guests at Nobu in San Diego almsot had front-row seats to what looked like a romantic dinner between exes Nicholas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence, who were tucking into sushi after a Comic-Con panel discussion about their upcoming collaboration, X-Men: Apocalypse. Imagine their surprise when the 24-year-old Oscar winner gave the performance of a lifetime, storming out of the establishmenti n a huff before the check arrived!
Nick has been making a full-court press to get back together with Jen, who still has strong feelings for him. Insiders say after learning that his ex would be without boyfriend Chris Martin tha weekend, NIck asked Jen to dinner and she politely accepted. Toward the end of the meal, it appears as though the actor, 25, brought up a subject Jen was not ready to address. “Jen was clearly upset with the topic of discussion,” says an eyewitness. “She angrily threw her hands up in the air as she yelled at Nick, who appeared agitated at her reaction. Next thing you now, he starts screaming too. It was a heated argument before she finally walked out on him.”
After leaving Nick to pay the bill, Jen headed over to an Entertainment Weekly party at the Hard Rock Hotel. “She flipped out when she saw Nick walk through the door, says a partygoer. “Jen insisted on sitting in a cabana far from him but kept shooting Nick dirty looks all night long.”
After Comic-Con, its going to be interesting to see how they handle working so closely,” says the insider. “Jen is a professional, but it’s hard to say how NIck and his wounded ego will fare having to act alongside her in such tight quarters.”

Well, Jennifer is a professional, so she won’t let anything get in the way of working with Nick to promote together soon. She’s very good at turning her business face on and off, even if she is an emotional goofball in real life. I believe she can be a big yeller, because there were photos of her screaming on the phone from a Hawaii balcony. This was when she was fresh off the 2013 Oscar win and smoking pot. JLaw can have fun, but she also has a temper.

I doubt this is true. She is a Leo like me tho (born of the same day!) and we do have a temper, so if he really did something that pissed her off I don’t doubt she would get quite fiery.

100 %. Jennifer would do us all a favour if she gets back with Nick. I refuse to believe that she’s with Martin. I have nothing particularly against him, but I can’t imagine what he brings into their relationship. They are so weird as a couple.

There was a blind item on CDAN a long time ago that revealed Nick would show nude pics and/or video of her at his house for guys night.
Not saying that’s true, but we really don’t know these people behind closed doors. After all, they know how to act for a living.

I too am in the forever side eye for the Martin hookup. I don’t think they are dating at all but that she lived out her 14 yr old adolescent fantasy by hooking up with him a few times (which gross) and the tabs keep stringing it along for reasons. For me I think she would be a colossal idiot to be involved in the mess that is Martin and Paltrow because if Goop wanted to she could completely ruin Jen’s life if she wanted to. She’s got one of the biggest PR machines at her disposal.

@Alex: I don’t think Goopy can do anything to Jennifer Lawrence except annoy the daylights out of her. While it’s true that Goopy has a big PR machine it’s powerless where Jennifer Lawrence is concerned.
It also seems to be powerless at using publicity to get people to not actively dislike Goopy and help revive her faded acting career.

I thought there was something shady in how fast Jennifer got with Chris Martin. I think there may have been some overlap there as Nick and Jen were looking very happy in London not too long before the break up. Next thing, Chris Martin is announced as doing the theme song for Mockingjay, Jennifer goes to his concert and Joult is over!

actually chris martin did the song for Catching fire and not mockingjay, so way before he got with jennifer and she was still with nick.
Coldplay did the theme for Catching Fire not Mockingjay which is why she, Liam and Josh have been to several concerts of theirs together since CF came out.

@Nicole liam and josh only went to one concert with Jennifer and that was the London one but the other times Jennifer went she was either alone or with her girlfriends. we don’t get much pics of Jennifer as it is, she knows how to be private when she want just like Chris knows how to as well, its funny that many of Jennifer fans are still in denial about her relationship with Chris and still blame the pr lol.

Like I said I believe they had something going on but do I believe Jen is buying an apt for them to play happy family? Not at all. Jen has been planning her wedding to Chris since last year, pregnant by him twice and moving in with him several times if you believe everything written about them.
@Nicole nope they didn’t go to that LA concert I’m pretty sure, it was only Jennifer and her girlfriends, but Jennifer fans kept saying it was the whole hunger games cast to make it seem like she and Chris were only friends. I don’t think Jennifer is looking for anything serious, I mean she was with nick for a long time and they never moved in together or even think about marriage so I doubt she would be looking for it with Chris. they are still dating tho, they were spotted together in the 4th of July weekend and there were tweets about it and people seeing them.
not the one last fall it was a different concert before the London one they went too. It was around CF time they were at a concert. According to even Chris he invited them to several concerts when they met during CF…this is way before Chris and Jen hooked up is my point.

meh I think it would give those silly rumors more weight if she responded to ever single one of them so I don’t see it as playing the game. plus both their teams clearly use the more reliable sites like E! and People, so if it doesn’t come from those two its fabricated.
Me personally I think everyone plays the game. Some more than others. Even non-problematic celebs do when they have to. Its not bad its reality. If I was a celeb I wouldn’t want people prying into my every move so you let the paps get the occasional picture or tabs run a few BS stories so you can be left alone.
People I find less reliable these days. Ugh just look at their Duggar coverage. But yea Jen’s team uses E exclusively
I still think People are more reliable when it comes to real celebrities. they had covered Chris and gwyneth divorce in details so i think they have a close source to him. Jennifer team tried to sell through E! that she broke up with Chris before she started the Mockingjay promo but People were the only one who doubted them and what you know as soon as the promo finished E! had a story about them back together.
The Mockingjay Part 2 trailer is amazing!!…the series is definitely going out with a bang, that’s for sure.
As for the Star article, I call BULLSHIT. A high profile actress like Jennifer Lawrence having dinner with her ex, an ex that everyone loves to see her with BTW, and NO ONE tweets about seeing them together let alone having a public blowout?. Baloney.
Aren’t a lot of actors and actresses emotional goofballs. Put them together and they are a mess.

I’m really not a JLaw fan, at all, nor do I really follow her, but even I know that it is not true that she “took zero ownership”. I remember somehow reading or hearing her statement about it, and she said that those photos were taken when she was in a healthy loving relationship, etc., she put a very positive spin on it, I don’t remember anything about “basically blackmailing”.

The word on Hoult has always been that he cheated on Lawrence repeatedly throughout their relationship but that they still couldn’t stay away from one another and also that Hoult became increasingly uncomfortable ( ie., jealous) with Jennifer’s massive career success.
I remember reading the Vanity Fair article where Lawrence mentioned that she can’t deal with argumentative people which seemed to indicate that it was Hoult that she was referring to…because it was Hoult himself that said in an article that HE is the uptight one and that Lawrence is more laid back.
I still don’t believe the Star article, but I do believe that Lawrence and Hoult have a very passionate relationship and that Hoult may be very argumentative.
Why did that escape me? Never heard that he cheated, only that she did. It was a blind back when they filmed the first Hunger Games film and it basically said that the whole cast was screwing around. I didn’t believe it back then though.

yeah she did say a couple of things on interviews about what she doesn’t like in a guy that made me think she might have been talking about nick, she said that she wanted someone who would let her be herself completely and wouldn’t control her. so as cute as they were together I can see why they split up, also Chris makes sense to what she is looking for after a passionate relationship like that.

I don’t think that story is true but I did feel a little awkwardness between them at Comic con in the panel and the pictures they took they were seated so far of each other and didn’t interact all. Jennifer is a real professional because even if that situation was uncomfortable to her it looked like she was having fun with the rest of xmen cast and wanted to be there with the fans. I loved the new trailer it looks great.
Hoult is nice looking but apparently a jerk as well.
I get such a strong icky feeling from Hoult. I would actually prefer her with Martin.*ducks and crouches in corner* My sense is that, while Martin may have baggage, and because of the age difference it won’t last long term, he is basically a decent person. After Jlaw photos leaked, and Hoult was asked about it on either GMA or Today show (don’t remember which), he just seemed sort of cold and smirky.

@Serena, we have no idea what Hoult is like in private – or her for that matter. I’d be slow to confuse public persona with reality And there are stories – including an unusually detailed DM report from last year – that he’s been having difficulties coping with her success. Maybe BS of course, but back in 2011/2012 she always struck me as more into him than vice versa…
