Mike Epps’ wife caught him trying to creep on a Twitter follower: hilarious?

wenn20879432

This might be my new favorite story. Mike Epps is an actor/comedian – I mostly know him from films like The Hangover and Jumping the Broom. He’s become something of a solid character actor, mostly in ensemble films, although he was cast as Richard Pryor in a bio-pic produced by Oprah. Epps is 44 years old and he’s been married to his wife Mechelle Epps (the lady in these photos) since 2006. They have two children together. He’s too old, too married and too daddy-tastic to be hitting up random ladies on Twitter, but that’s exactly what he was doing Monday evening. He was apparently trying to contact a woman who goes by ceciCitra – go here to see her @CeciCitra Twitter, because she’s really funny and her dream is to bang Rihanna (cosign). So Epps got in touch and this is exactly what went down, because ceciCitra totally screencapped this mess LIKE A BOSS.

In case you can’t tell, Epps was trying to get ceciCitra to DM (direct message) him on Twitter, probably because (I’m just guessing here) he wanted her to send him some dirty photos. The last tweet is from Epps’ wife Mechelle, and it’s just the emoticon for “eyes”. As in “I SEE YOU, YOU S.O.B.” After Mechelle dropped in, Epps deleted his tweets to ceciCitra (but not before she screencapped them and posted them on her Twitter). Epps also blocked her, because (I’m just guessing here) Mechelle had a pair of gardening shears in her hands and a certain look in her eye.

ceciCitra has been tweeting about all of this ever since it went down and it’s really funny. Yesterday, Epps retweeted a tweet that was directed at ceciCitra. She expressed surprise because:

She’s also bothered by outlets using some of her old photos in their coverage, but I don’t see why she’s mad – she’s HOT.

What else? She tweeted: “funniest part of all this is I actually am on IG.” She laughed when her followers told her she should have tried to get a car out of him. And of course she’s been tweeting and retweeting memes about the whole Epps situation. Some days, I really do love social media.

lol Love that last bit. What a creep, and I love how she’s handling it. 🙂

  2. Loopy says:

How sloppy can some people get, especially a public figure…why not do it privately.

    • Tiffany :) says:

He wrote on Twitter that he doesn’t handle his account, his nephew does.

      • lucy2 says:

I just saw that. If true, you think his wife would be aware of that, and would have said something as soon as the story went public. Or wouldn’t have done the side eye thing to begin with.

      • FLORC says:

He’d better tell his wife that their nephew did it then.

I swear a good comedy movie should include a Twitter exchange like this , plus a scene of a plane pulling a banner ” CHEATER” behind it. Screenwriters should read the gossip/celebrity sites for some great ideas for movies instead of doing lame remakes or sequels.

    • Ronda says:

that cheater plane banner is one of my favourite acts of petty revenge, beautiful!

      • frisbee says:

@ Ronda – the best act of revenge I ever heard of was a women who broke into her ex’s house and sewed Prawns (U.S. readers – Shrimps) into the bottom of his curtains. The smell got worse and worse and he could never work out where it was coming from. He had to move out in the end. Effective, elegant and totally wicked – love it.

      • Liberty says:

        frisbee, that is brilliant.

I once worked with a crazy VP who picked up his tiny sweet assistant and smacked her hard against a wall because he’d screwed something up and had endless rage issues. During the ensuing four weeks as the co was investigating this freak (to get a massive case together to get rid of him in a big way), he was still around acting like a prick. So two furious guys in our dept put opened cans of tuna in the freak’s bottom desk drawer and locked it, then put frozen fish filets under the guy’s new BMW seats or car mats, after sneaking in with the freak’s own keys. Eight hot hours later….

      • frisbee says:

@ Liberty Ha! Fish is always good….it lingers longer, I hope they got rid of him and his Big Managerial Wanker car was ruined – I really hate bullies – it brings out the Boudicca (Woad/Chest plate) in me.

    • frisbee says:

I can see a T.V Producer somewhere dreaming up a Reality Show based on this, you know – deliberately setting out to entrap half-wit wanky men and then exposing it all on television.

      • Liberty says:

this is a great idea, and someone has to do this

      • Jaded says:

Something kind of similar was done a few years ago where a relationship therapist would arrange for wives and a camera crew to sneak after their husbands when they’d go off for a tryst with their mistresses and confront them. It was squirmingly funny watching these DBs get busted.

“I’m so sorry baby so sorry baby so sorry baby I don’t know why I did it I love you baby I’ll never do it again!!!”

        Yeah right….

      • PrincessMe says:

You mean like “Cheaters”? I used to watch that a lot, wonder if it’s still on. *off to google*

      • FLORC says:

Lol yea that’s Cheaters. I would watch it if I couldn’t sleep 3am-ish.
And 1st season the host got stabbed when confronting a cheating man caught in the act. He returned for (atleast) 1 more season.

      • DTX says:

I met the Detective on that show! He’s a hoot! He even does a radio show and sometimes talks about the crazy-ass cases he gets. Detective Gomez.

  4. Red32 says:

The funny thing is I mostly remember him as Day Day in Next Friday. He spends the whole movie running from a crazy ex who keys his car and sends her sister to beat him down.

Mechelle is gonna get Baby Dee on your ass, Day Day.

  5. Norman Bates' Mother says:

That was so dumb on his part. Even if the wife didn’t see it at that moment, there was a 100% chance that it would get to her – either some media outlet would pick it up, and run a story or some follower would inform her even if Epps deleted it. Amateur hour sleazbag.

    • doofus says:

RIGHT?! how f-ing stupid do you have to be to NOT realize that your wife, who follows you on Twitter, would see EVERYTHING you write on that?!

I can’t wrap my head around this guy’s stupidity!

    • Deedee says:

Obviously, it wasn’t his brain doing the decision making. 😉

  6. Jess says:

I don’t think this is all that funny, it’s embarrassing for his wife and this girl needs to drop it. She’s loving the attention though.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

      Agree.

    • Naddie says:

I’m with you on that. It’s a bit funny because he’s being embarrassed and it’s well deserved, but that’s it. I’ve seen the girl’s twiter and I need a palate cleanser now.

    • lucy2 says:

Yeah I could see a few comments right after it happened, but now she should probably drop it. She seems almost gleeful with the attention, and there’s a wife and kids involved here.
How stupid is Mike though? He might as well have run up and down the street with a sign saying “I would like to cheat on my wife!”

    • Crumpet says:

      This

    • frisbee says:

And to complete his perfect week? He turns up in the Ashley Madison stolen data… I’m cringing with embarrassment on behalf of his wife and kids

    • Emily C. says:

I agree. And I’m also not really seeing a blatant attempt to cheat here. He thinks she’s hot and wants to see public pictures of her, maybe, big deal. Though honestly it looked more to me like he thought she was funny and wanted to set up something with her on the business end (and no, not that kind of business.)

      • jaye says:

If that was the case, he might have said that in a public tweet before asking her to DM him. Or he could have DM’d her. I don’t blame his wife for letting him know that ‘I see you, mf-er’.

  7. Jas says:

Haha… How do people not realise that social media is a public forum? We can see you, fool. The girl is funny.

  8. MrsBPitt says:

I hope his wife serves his pathetic ass up on a platter!!!!!

  9. Icy blue says:

She is very funny. Someone called her transgender snake. Rightly so she wondered aloud why she”s got to be a transgender snake because Mike Epps can’t keep it in his trousers. But seriously, this man sought her online openly with no regard to what his wife would feel about it. Why does she owe him discretion? If a married man accosted me online and was caught by his wife watchful savvy eye, I too would ridicule him openly, and praise his wife. He, the toe rag deserves every last bit of embarrassment.

    • Naddie says:

He does! Did she praised his wife? That would be cool.

      • Icy blue says:

Sorry for the confusion, I don’t think she praised the wife. I was saying, in her shoes I would praise his wife, as I am ridiculing him. She might be might be having too much fun at his expense, but you should see the people trying to blame her for this fool”a action, as if she is the one who approached him.

    • Naddie says:

Oh, I see. I might sound judgy, but I can totally see him apologizing to his wife, calling the girl names and saying she was the one who tried something, just like a jerk is supposed to do.

    • jaye says:

Her twitter is hilarious! I would clown his ass to infinity and beyond, too.

  10. Ronda says:

    Very smooth Mr. Epps.

  11. HK9 says:

    Old men acting badly…SMH

  12. I Choose Me says:

Damn. Day Day got called out. I don’t feel a bit sorry for him.

  13. Vampi says:

Maybe he wanted her to be a writer for his stand up? Girl is seriously funny.

  14. Ann says:

I would divorce him. Not for attempting to cheat but for being so incredibly stupid.

  15. Mrs. Darcy says:

What a dumbass, good for her for taking the p*ss esp. given he blocked her after scamming on her, what a creep! Feel sorry for his wife.

  16. QQ says:

    Hahahah Go lady Wife!

OMG OMG now he just tweeted that his Nephew runs his account and he stays messaging girl… SIR, BYE

  17. kri says:

Well, I guess it was August 17th, and he didn’t have sh&t to do.

  18. kri says:

Well, I guess it was August 17th, and he didn’t have sh&t to do.

  19. jwoolman says:

I only use Twitter to get local power company updates on outages…. But I don’t understand the story. Is this the whole interchange? How is it an attempt to cheat with her? He knew his wife followed him. It just doesn’t look like anything to me from his end at least. There could be plenty of legitimate reasons to go to private messaging. Or is there some special Twitter hookup code that I’m missing? The power company’s tweets are much easier to figure out. (“Crews are working on the South Side and should have power restored in an hour.” No ambiguity.)

    • AcidRock says:

It may not have been their entire exchange (maybe they were chit-chatting before this) but this is when things got juicy, I guess, and why the screenshots only include this particular bit of their exchange.

It’s assumed to be an attempt to cheat because he starts by asking if she’s on ig (Instagram), maybe so that she would send him her username for that site and then he could go check out pics of her (maybe see if she’s hot enough?). When she says no, then he shifts to asking her to essentially “go offline” (use DMs, or direct messages, so they can discuss/exchange pics/whatever in private, with the presumption being he was going to be looking for something naughty and out of the public view). Point being, if this really was just an innocent exchange or banter, no need to take it out of the public eye. Then his wife steps in to let them both know she’s watching the entire exchange…

  20. word says:

It was all done in public…not private messages so to be honest I don’t think he was trying to “creep”. Plus most of these celebs don’t handle their own accounts. It has been reported his nephew runs his twitter account.

    • AcidRock says:

It could be that many people don’t handle their own accounts, but many people also do use some way of clarifying who exactly is tweeting (e.g., signing tweets they actually send with their initials), or if the tweets are written in third person (“He will be performing at XYZ nightclub this Friday”). Either way, if it is the case that someone else is manning an account with a celeb’s name/face on it, they need to have a tight leash on what exactly is being sent so that there isn’t any confusion as to whether or not the words are from them or not. And if Mike wasn’t really trying to creep, gotta wonder why he blocked Ceci after his wife stepped in…

      • jwoolman says:

Maybe he actually (gasp!) talks with his wife and they decided the other person was getting too freaky so they just blocked her to shut it down. It really sounds like much ado about nothing. Which is what a lot of stories seem to be this month. Must be the heat and humidity. Leaping to conclusions is the only exercise people have the energy to do.

  21. Emily C. says:

The wife jumping in publicly with a silly emoticon tells me she was not concerned. That is not how someone reacts if they’re actually afraid their husband is trying to cheat.

    • jaye says:

She sent that emoticon to REMIND him that she can see what’s going on, so if he was planning on doing something stupid he would be wise to rethink that plan.
